4-0 out of 5 stars Keeps them busy....
We got this for our 12 month old son and while there are some things that are a bit annoying, such as the fact that you can take the roller coaster top off and my son has pinched his fingers in it. However, I think it's a bit of a learning process and you can also easily leave the top off and play with that part on the floor. He likes to move that around as well as the entire cube.So far, I really like this product and so does my son.

1-0 out of 5 stars Safety concerns: product should be recalled
My 10-month old received this as a gift. Although the labeling is for 18 mo and older - be careful! My little girl choked on the circle magnet! All the magnets are small and pose a choking hazard. Also, the table is unstable as kids can hold onto the beads on top to stand and the whole thing can fall over on them. Dangerous toy. Mine is going away for good!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy, but cover corners!
My husband's parents recently bought this for our 11mo. & 23mo. old daughters. They love this toy! There are so many activities that it keeps them entertained for a long time. We also bought magnetic letters to go on the magnetic side of the box. I like that there is space inside to either flip the top maze into or store some toys to keep your livingroom more organized. I suggest covering the corners though with some sort of foam. My youngest did get a little knot on her head from it. Overall, I hate the price but love the toy! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The cutest stacking toy yet!!
This stacking flower pot is so cute and fun too. Your child can easily stack, and link the ring leaves together. There are three leaves one blue square, a pink star, and an orange circle.
The flower has crinkle petals, with pink silky fabric on the back which my daughter loves, and the face of the flower squeeks! And I love how cute it is, after she is done playing with it we will use it for decoration in her flower themed room! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE them!
We just bought them for our 20-month daughter, and we love them.I can't think of anything about them that I don't like. They are just the right weight~not too heavy but not too light. The colors and pictures are neat. The carrying case is nice, too.Would highly recommend them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth every Penny! LOVE THEM!
My 18month old son loves these blocks...I had bought him the peek a boo blocks and he never stacked them or did anything but throw. These blocks colors and pictures are wonderful and help me with his language by giving me ideas. We make storys up with the blocks, stack them...these really are wonderful. Heirloom quality...Made to last through the years. I will put these in is Hope chest for his child.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Picture Blocks!
My two-year old daughter loves these blocks! They are easy to stack, the picture doesn't rub off and they are of good quality wood.I love them because they are very colorful, unlike other blocks and they make cleaning up easy. They have a wooden box with handles that the blocks easily fit in so my daughter can put them away easily. 5-0 out of 5 stars Mega Fun with Mega Blocks
Just received this toy for my daughter's 1st b-day. This is her 1st set of lego type blocks and she started trying to figure it out right away...I hope to get more sets so she can play 'legos' with her 8 year old uncle...WHAT FUN!

4-0 out of 5 stars Disney Building Bucket: Cinderella's Castle
I bought this toy for my 1 year-old little girl so she could have a set of blocks of her own, different from her 5 year-old brother (although he likes to play with it too). She likes to stack the blocks and plays with Cinderella and the horse too. I like the fact that all the pieces fit inside its own storage container. Adorable!

5-0 out of 5 stars Cinderella's Castle a Dream Toy
After my daughter got an ABC Train, also by Mega Bloks, from Grandma for her birthday, I knew that the Cinderella Castle would make a great Christmas gift. All of the blocks are sturdy and interchangeable, so my daughter builds the castle into a massive tower or anything she wants. The blocks are different sizes, shapes, and colors - no more simple squares. The set comes with Cinderella and an adorable horse. We also bought the add-on set with another Cinderella, plus Belle and Ariel.Any toy that encourages imaginative play is a hit with me! ... 1-0 out of 5 stars useless
I found this toy to be pretty useless.Yes the blocks have the letters on them but you can buy wooden blocks that stack better and can build more things.the only thing the blocks were useful for was stacking one on top of the other. The train cars don't stay together well, they come apart way to easily and it frustrated my son. Also the blocks don't lock tightly either and when they'd come apart he would get frustrated again.Save your money buy a more durable train and the wooden square blocks with letters on them.

5-0 out of 5 stars SONS FAVORITE
My best friends mom got this for our son's first birthday and he loves it (he's 13 months now). He's not too interested in it when it's conected, but all he does is pick up one car and it unsnaps. It's a very durable toy that has been dropped, thrown, chewed on and attacked by cats repeatedly. With all six cats having very sharp claws, there are still no claw marks in the plastic. This is the only toy we take with us when we're out and he's always entertained. We can take a few blocks, or put the blocks on the cars and stack the whole thing. There are holes on the bottom of all the cars so that the blocks fit into the undersides as well. This makes for great storage, just put all the blocks on the cars, stack them together and put away. The only thing that I don't like is that the alphabet isn't complete. I wanted to show my son, Jason, what his name looked like and there is no J in my set, but there are doubles of some other letters. Go figure, this may just be my set though. All in all a great buy I think.

5-0 out of 5 stars Girls Can Choo-Choo, Too!
Grandma mailed the Mega Bloks ABC Train to my daughter for her second birthday. Both she and her older sister (3 years 9 mos) cheered when we opened the box!One engine and two railcars in bright rainbow colors make for tons of fun. I like the train because it helps them develop dexterity, sorting skills, and letter identification (both upper and lowercase). But my youngest daughters favorite activity is chugga-chugga-choo-choo!The wheels spin freely.About 1.25 inches square, the blocks interlock easily in either direction.I had to show them how the cars snap together. One design issue: the roof on the engine cabin has four pegs, but because of the curved shape the blocks do not fit snug. They keep popping off! A pull string would've been nice, but my girls are more than happy with this train as is. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy!
My 12 month old son got this for his birthday. He loves it.It is definately a toy that will last a long time and keep his interest for years to come.I like that it is free moving and it rolls eaisly and stays together. It is a really cool toy!

5-0 out of 5 stars This is Too Much Fun!
Four train cars, two buildings, a sign and a crossing make for a wonderful set.The train cars roll very well and are very durable.I bought these along with the construction vehicle set (there is also a rescue vehicle set) and my kids love them.

Each of the cars has a base and a two-piece top so you can mix and match if you wish.

The large style blocks are easy for my one year old but still fun for his older sister.Great fun.I wish they had these when I was younger. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toys!
This was bought for my 3 month old son. He's now 6 months and has just become interested in them. They are perfect for his little hands and mouth to explore. He loves the different colors and textures. Highly recommended!

4-0 out of 5 stars Such a Disappointment
We were so excited to get these blocks for our 6 month old son for Christmas. They are so cute and have all these really neat toys to put them in and drag them around and such.My son is now 8 months old and has never played with them.We also take care of a 10 month old little boy and he is also un-interested.I can't say anything bad about the toys because I still think they are really cute, but my kids just don't really care for them.

5-0 out of 5 stars these are great toys
We bought my 4 month old son a few sets of these Peek-a-blocks for christmas, including the dump truck and train. He's not quite into them yet, as he's just mastering the grabbing skills. But until he grows into playing more, my 2 1/2 year old daughter loves these! She plays with all the blocks, which entertains both her and her brother, who watches her.Despite another review, the edges on the toys are perfectly rounded. That was a big concern of mine, with 2 young children.but i've felt all the blocks edges, and they arent one bit sharp.

I highly recommend these! They arent too expensive, and kids of all ages love them! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy addition!
I purchased this toy for my 9 month old daughter and she absolutely loves it! She loves to grab up all the blocks and bang them together and chew on them. My 3 yr. old daughter loves to play with them too and when she stacks them up little sister loves to knock them down. Each block has lots of colors & different objects inside them which keeps my 9 month old intrieged and my 3 yr. old entertained. I highly recomend these! I also bought the Fisher Price Train & blocks set and she loves that too!

2-0 out of 5 stars My son would not touch these
From the time he was six months old till now when he is 16 months old. He never would touch these! He liked the leapfrog drum and the activty tables but not these. I gave them away because they were worthless to me and my family. Very boring toy for imaginitive children.

5-0 out of 5 stars Coolest Blocks Out There
I love Peek a blocks. They have many low priced accessories that can be purchased for the blocks. Like the dump truck, the giraffe, the activity block the little pully wagon thingy, the circus elephant and more.

My son is loves to look in them. I do too. I love the fact that there are so many different themes behind the blocks and they all are compatable with all the many accessories. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible buy
The quality of these blocks are really sub-standard, I think.I thought the fact that they came in a wagon was cute, so I got them for my son, but I didn't realize that they were so small.A few days after they arrived I saw exactly what I should've got at Walmart. No wagon, but bigger and much sturdier blocks.Take my advice, don't buy these!

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible Quality!!!
I ordered 12 of these toys and the quality was just horrible! Some people complained about the paint fading fast. . . how about - some of my blocks didn't even come painted!!! Yeah, terrible quality control. Also, I did experience some problems with splintering as I carefully examined each piece.Out of all of the blocks in one wagon, I can honestly say that on average only 2 to 4 were in perfect condition. . . that's pretty bad considering that I have ordered 12!You're almost better off going to Home Depot and buying some wood and paint to make them yourself; I'm sure those will last longer. Unfortunately, I can't even rate this product for fun - since my god son and his friends never even got a chance to play with the toy. . .

1-0 out of 5 stars Totally unsatisfied with the quality
I never wrote a review of a product that I bought via Amazon before, but I just had to write in about this one.

I remember these wooden blocks from when I was a young girl, and loved them. When I saw them at Amazon I bought them for my 15 month old grandson.

When we opened the package and took the blocks out, there were two major problems.

1. I got a splinter from a block.
2. One of the blocks BROKE!

These blocks are not of the same quality of the alphabet blocks of old. The toy went right into the garbage. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Sweet melody!!!
My 3 1/2 year old and 5 year old will not let me put this toy away, despite they have outgrown it 4 times over. They love the lights and the music. Hopefully by the time they are 18 I can store it away. Very sweet and NOT AN OBNOXIOUS toy like some of the other ones out there. Would recommend highly!

5-0 out of 5 stars A wonderful toy from birth to toddler-hood
My son has enjoyed this toy since he was about 2 months old. The lights and colors are wonderful. The songs are nice, and there's enough variety that it is enjoyable for adults. As a young infant he would watch it and listen. As he learned to hold himself up while on his belly he continued to enjoy watching it and got stronger. He could mouth the pieces and feel them with his hands as well. I think his favorite piece is the star on top, whenever he sees its smile, he smiles. Once he was able to sit, he enjoyed taking the stars off. When he began crawling, this is the ONLY toy he would crawl back to when his attention was brought to it, this toy helped to cut down chasing after him. Now he is 11 months old and enjoys putting the stars back on. He walks around carrying the pieces and sometimes the post. He throws them a lot and this toy has held up very well. For all the time we have used it, it is still on the same set of batteries. He does not yet know his colors or size order, but I'm sure this toy will help him learn those things as he grows. A great toy!

3-0 out of 5 stars Ok except for the door
My son likes to play with this toy, but the door repeatedly falls off and it's quite a pain. Too bad!

1-0 out of 5 stars Annoying, annoying, annoying!
I bought this toy for my 14-month old daughter several months ago, and she has yet to play with it.I am grateful for that, however, since this is one of the most obnoxious-sounding toys I've ever heard! It is also pretty flimsy; the door is constantly popping off, just by being moved slightly.I think it's a total waste of money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mine loves it
My soon to be two year old daughter got this toy for her first birthday and It was her favorite. The door coming off so easily is a little of a problem and I don't see the safty cause for it either but she is 21 months now and still plays with this toy alot.It is a lot more interesting and educational then the other shape sorters she has and she like the "baking yum yums" part of it too. I am back at the ToyRUs web site today hoping to order two for my best friend's daugher and my stepson's son as they will be turning one soon. But they are out of stock :( - I would based on my little girls personal response have to rate this toy very high. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Idea!
These blocks are great! We love these blocks, as does our 12 month old.I feel bad that the little got hurt falling on one, but it's not the company's fault. These blocks are very well made with no sharp edges. If your child had any teeth at 8 months of age(our daughter had 4 at this age), it is probable it was the tooth that cut the lip! This product is excellent! We plan to purchase more!

5-0 out of 5 stars Speech/Language Teaching Tool
These blocks are a great tool for teaching speech/language to our children.Having different items in each block is a good way to expand your childs language skill by talking about what is inside of it (i.e. what the object is, color, what the object does or may be used for, etc...).
Both of my boys (ages 2 years & 3 years) have minor speech delays and this toy was a great tool in helping them progress. This product was resonably priced (similar products from educational stores were much more expensive). What a fun way to learn.

4-0 out of 5 stars ENJOYABLE!
My son received a large set of Peed-a-blocks last Christmas when he was only 3 months old. They were instantly entertaining for him.I plan to purchae him more this Christmas!Although I feel badly for the child who cut his lip, I have checked through all ours, a 36 pc. set and have found nothing sharp, or any edges that could injure a child. Unless these were thrown at someone with excessive force, they seem quite safe to me! Hopefully parents will examine all their children's toys for sharp or rough edges, and use their own judgement before letting a child play with them. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars A Nice Idea . . .
My friends and I agree that these blocks are really appealing to US, but our children don't seem to find them that interesting. It's hard to stack more than 2, and while the themes are fun, they just haven't been a big hit.We own many of the Peek a Block sets, including the circus train, and I will say that the sounds and barnyard animals are the favorites. My son is nearing age 2, and we still get the blocks out to play, but they don't have the same appeal that the Fisher Price farm/zoo/playground sets have--or even basic nesting/stacking toys.I would recommend you test drive this toy with your child before you invest in them--as colorful and fun as they seem to be.

2-0 out of 5 stars Waste of Money!
My 18month old son was not impressed with these blocks...he loves his Imaginarium wooden blocks. They are not as easy to stack than the wooden. I thought they were cool, but maybe he will find more interest in them later on.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best of all the sets for an almost toddler
I went peek-a-block crazy when my daughter turned 6 months.Of all the sets littering the house/diaperbag/truck/grandmas these two are some of the best for a younger child.

The barnyard set can be used along with the baby MacDonald video from baby einstein to teach barnyard animals. The animals are a nice mixture of movemebt and noise, especially the 'mud' in the pig block.

The sounds sensation blocks are also very captivating and make noice without being loud enough to be headache makers. My Daughter recently figured out one with a rocker style switch and loves making it go plonk now.

These blocks have yet to be destroyed by my husband who has stepped on more than a few of them accidently in his work boots. For price and long term use these are wonderful!

one fair warning, they are addictive :) but luckily are priced so that you really can get them all.

My daughter is now ten months old and loving her peek-a-blocks more each day. ... Read more
