Editorial Review

This game is sort of like Twister meets Simon Says. Lay the Hullabaloo pads around on the floor about two 'kid's feet' away from each other. The pads are different shapes and colors and have pictures and words on them. Turn on the game console and the cheerful music begins, a happy voice welcomes you to the game and then gives the simple directions you'll need to play. "Jump on a square shape," "Slide over to a red shape," "Hop to a shape with an animal on it" and so on. Then it might tell you to freeze, or to put a body part on one pad, and then a different body part on another. Then, it'll tell you that if you are on a particular pad at the end of that round, you are the winner. We found it to be fun, and easy to understand--though we did wonder how long it might hold a child's interest. --Megan Sullivan ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun for the whole family!
We received this as a family gift for Christmas. My 2 year old and 5 year old both love this game and my husband and I have fun playing it with them too! I highly recommend this because it is very educational and fun at the same time! Plus it helps the kids burn off some energy!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game for our family
My son received this game as a gift from my husband's employer.WE LOVE IT!!It's simply a lot of fun.The music is catchy and the kids have to listen (great as skill-building) for the next set of instructions. It's not predictable and it's a game that gets everyone off the couch. We've had a lot of fun.

5-0 out of 5 stars Be 7 Again!
I recently visited my goddaughter who has three boys 7-10 years old. The broke out the Cranium Hullabaloo and we all had a ball! This game is loads of interactive fun, keeps the kids hopping and focused, and gives their mom some "downtime." I forgot I was 55! It is now on my Christmas and birthday "must buy" gift list. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars great game
This is a wonderful game for children and adults.I introduced it to my adolescent special education class and to their delight they were competitive with peers and adults.Thisis because it challenges visual and spatial parts of the brain.
It fits instructional objectsfor sustained attention, pattern recognition and spatial discrimination. No two games are alike. The students love the web site (...)where they play against the computer.

5-0 out of 5 stars Simple to Learn and FUN!
My son (9 years old) saw this at the "teacher's store" by us and it's always sold out so he had to wait to get it. Boy was it worth the wait!He loves it! And we love it!All of his friends play and it's so easy to learn. The better you get at it, the more challenging the game.I'd recommend this to anyone! It's not a game that will sit on the shelf.

5-0 out of 5 stars Creative Educational Game for the Family
My 5 year old son received this game as a present from my sister.I also have a 6 1/2 year old son.The two of them put down their gameboys and played this game with us over and over for two hours. We've had the game for a week now and they are still asking to play. It's a great introduction to building strategies and using their spacial abilities. The rules are simple and the game itself goes fairly quickly which is great since my kids have a hard time sitting still for long.If I had seen this at the store I probably would never have considered it, but I would recommend it to everyone now that we have played it. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Game!!
My daughter got this game for her 3rd birthday. She and her 4-year-old sister love to play this game daily!!Now I am buying more to give as birthday gifts to friends/family.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Gift that Kids Love
I bought this game for my children several years ago on the advice of the owner of my favorite toy store.I love board games, and my children were 3 and 5 then, and just starting to enjoy them as well.Well, we couldn't get the kids to stop playing Zingo. They played quietly for more than 2 hours.Since you can play with up to 8 players, we have had lots of neighborhood kids playing the game out on the front steps.Since then, I have bought at least 10 Zingo games -- I have given them to all my children's friends and I always keep a few around to give out for birthday gifts.Everyone loves this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars great design, great fun
This preschooler variation of the old favorite Bingo is a real winner.

Zingo cards have a 3 by 3 grid that shows pictures and words.Cards have a yellow side (easier, for younger kids) and a red side for the odler ones. The plastic game piece dispenser is well-designed and fun to use.Players shout out to claim a piece, which is then placed over the appropriate square on the player's card. There are several play variations.

Excellent game for the younger set, and fun for older children and adults as well. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent "intelligent" game for all ages !!
Games has a simple objective -- get the Red car out of traffice. And boy! it is difficult and changelling at higher level. Set up the *cars* as described in cards and figure out a way to get the Red Car out.The best thing is complexity raange from very easy to very hard. So it captures kids interests and provides the extra incentive to move to the next level !!

Simple rules -- once you have placed the cars on the Grid, you can only move them forward or backward.

A great addition to this game is "Rush Hour 2, 3 and 4 Gift Pack" for less than $12/-. Each set has 40 cards or in total 120 different combinations are possible. The highest level is really really difficult. Meant for the "Pros" only !!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Challenging and fun
This game is a real attention-grabber for my 5 year old. Keeps him busy and quiet--great for me, too! :)

Editorial Review

Battleship captains plot their strategies, send out torpedoes, and as the last ship (often the smallest, two-peg patrol boat) hides in an unsuspected corner, anticipation mounts. Like many classic games, Battleship walks a fine line between strategy and luck. The goal is to conceal the location of your ships while finding and destroying your enemies' fighters. The playing arena is a notebook-size plastic board updated for '90s sensibilities: the "floor" of the board is printed with waves and the exterior vaguely resembles a laptop. The design mimics the view a submarine captain would have, complete with a glimmer of radar waves. The game is perfect entertainment to share: simple enough for children, yet gratifying enough for adults to enjoy. One design decision keeps this edition from being truly stellar: the playing boards don't lock securely, allowing the small pegs to fall out and spill from the sides if jostled. --Jennifer Buckendorff ... 4-0 out of 5 stars A great little logic test.
This game is a classic and it really gets kids thinking about plotting the possibles and probables. They don't even realise it's educational as it's such fun. The design makes it a perfect travel game. A great one to get out when the chorus of "are we there yet?", is driving you crazy and playing "eye spy" is making everyone loose the will to live rapidly!
I even get away with playing my knid of music without the children moaning or noticing!

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun...
This game is pretty fun, you don't have to think too much and the instructions are easy enough as well. I do agree with the one reviewer who saaid that the pegs can be horrible if scattered everywhere. What we do is keep them in seperate plastic bags, and unwrap them before the game starts. It's a little bit more time-consuming, but that way it keeps them from winding up in a kid or pet's mouth.

5-0 out of 5 stars You've Sunk My Battleship!
I just bought this game, because I remembered how much fun I had playing it when I was younger. This is one of those games that never gets old, and anyone from a child, to an adult can have fun playing it.

You each have a console, with 2 grids: your ocean grid where YOUR ships are, and the striking grid. The object of the game is to shout out coordinates to try and sink your opponent's ships.By marking them in the grid above, you then strategize where your opponent has placed his/her ships. You either have a "hit", or "miss".Play continues until you have sunk all of the ships on the other player's console.

There are many ways you can play this game. You can even make a few rules up if you like. There are also different forms of play in the instructions, inside the box.

One example of play that I like: if you sink your opponent's Battleship, the game is automatically over, and you've won.

All in all, this game is alot of fun.The consoles are pretty durable, and there are spots for you to store the ships, and the hit/miss pegs.As far as educational value, I think it would help children to work with grids, and strategizing. You have to be aware of what size ships you are dealing with and where they will fit on the grid (in the NON-hit spaces that remain on your opponent's grid).

I prefer this version to the electronic version. There are no sound effects and no noise, which I think makes it easier and less hassle.

If by chance you haven't played this game, buy it today! ... Read more

Jumbo Sequence is a game of strategy played on a colorful, cushioned vinyl playing mat (32 by27 inches). Each player or team tries to score the required number of five-card sequences before theiropponents can.To begin the sequence, a player discards one card and marks that card on the playing matwith a colored crowning chip. The player or team then attempts to mark a sequence of five cards up, down, across, or diagonally on the playing surface.Jumbo Sequence is an easily understood game fortwo pals or a crowd playing on teams.Includes 104 playing cards and 50 crowning chips in each color:red, blue, and yellow.--Margaret Quinn ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Jumbo cardboard version vs folded up mat
I am planning to purchase Sequence and would like any feedback on whether to buy the Jumbo cardboard version or roll up version of Sequence? because of durability and does the Jumbo cardboard come in a tin box?Friends and family really enjoy playing the game and I am thinking of buying one for each group of my family and close friends.I certainly would appreciate any comments.

5-0 out of 5 stars All our friends are hooked!
We bought the original Sequence game and loved it.So much fun!!Then we went to a friend's house and played the JUMBO Sequence and fell in love with that.It is so much easier to see and reach the game mat.Once you've played the JUMBO version you'll never want to go back to the original. All of our neighbors, friends, and family are hooked on this game and we never tire of it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Family Fun at it's BEST !
We have 5 grown children that love to play games.. we play Sequence by the hours.. it is good for two players to 8 ! we divide up into teams.. the guys against the gals... couples against couples.. we just love this game.. a 5 year old can play as easily as an adult!
I know you'll enjoy this if your family enjoys playing games.

5-0 out of 5 stars The deluxe version's the best
I've had this game for a few years now and totally enjoy playing it with my wife. When my relatives from abroad came to stay with us, they too fell in love with this game. I thought I'd buy them the 'jumbo' version of this game, but I wish I had bought the deluxe version instead. Here's why: There are 3 versions of this game (normal, deluxe and jumbo). They're all the same in terms of how the game is played. But the biggest difference is the size of the mat and how it's packed in the box. The size of the deluxe mat is quite ideal - maybe the jumbo size is nice for big groups. BUT, the deluxe is the ONLY version of this game where the mat can actually be ROLLED and packed into the box. For the other two versions, you have to FOLD the mat and put it in the box. And that makes a big difference since folding tends to crease the mat. My relatives (who are now abroad) tell me that they roll up their jumbo mat and store it outside the box - that's no good, but they still enjoy the game of course!
In terms of the game itself, it's quite simple. Just make one or two sequences (depending on the number of players) - corners are wild, two-eyed jacks are wild, one-eyed jacks can remove an opponent's coin. As for the number of players, any multiple of 2 or 3can play the game - so you can have 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10 or 12 players.
To summarize, the game is lots of fun and quite relaxing in that you don't have to think too much. And if you are going to buy a version of this game, I highly recommend the deluxe version because you can roll the mat into the box - something you can't do with the other versions.
P.S. I just realized that there's also a kid's version of this game. We actually bought that as well to keep the little folks occupied while the adults played the adult version! The kid's version is nice (the mat is actually a board - so folding is not a problem there). But the number of squares is few and if you have more than 2 kids (or adults!) playing, you could easily get into a stalemate. Just thought I'd mention that since I was comparing different versions of this game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome game
This is an awesome game.Very fun to play and easy to understand.Does take strategy along with good luck.Excellent for young and old.

5-0 out of 5 stars Definitely Recommend!
I put this game on my son's wishlist for his 5th birthday.I was searching for some board games that we could play together quietly while my daughter is napping.I was not familiar with the game, but after reading the reviews I added it to his list and I am glad I did.It is very simple and easy to learn (a three year old could definitely play this) and a good first game to start learning about strategy (you need four in a row to win). Many of the other games we have played are pure luck (like Candyland and Chutes and Ladders). This game gives kids the opportunity to do some decision making.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Game!!!
Easy to play, and good for memory. My kids love it.Plus, they learned a few animal names that they didn't know.Excellent!!

5-0 out of 5 stars BEST GAME
This game is the best. I tell all of my friends to BUY it for every kid on the list. The game can be played as the directions state or a variation. For the older child play memory or matching. My 2 year old loves to group the colors, simply identify the animals or sound, and match the cards to the board. This is my six year olds favorite game and has been since he received it for his 3rd birthday.Best of all it can be quickly replayed if the wrong person(mom) wins the game. The whole family will enjoy.Strategy, memory, and fun!!!As far as i can tell Toys R Us is the only place to buy this great game. ... This is a strategy game with a twist--if you lose, you'relunch. You've taken your trusty Safari Rover deep into the bush; nowmaneuver it through the maze of hungry animals and get back to camp inone piece. 3-0 out of 5 stars Fun but bulky
Our family truly enjoys the Rush Hour game and tried this one as well - it is bigger and bulkly and convenient for travel.I alos find the puzzles to be a bit easier. The pieces don't slide as well as Rush Hour.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good toy for everyone
I knew this game at a friend's house and love it even I was 30 already at that time.I bought several when I went back to visit my family and they all love it.When I told my mom that I would give my brother's 1st grad boy a set, she told me he won't like it since he doesn't like the brain games. But he loves it soon after my sister explain to him the rules and he enjoys to do it.My little one, almost 23 months old now, likes those animals and loves to put all of those animals to the board one by one and kind of learn the size and arrange the place. It's not only for 8 and up.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great game; an attention grabber

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT PRODUCT!
This is a great product - my chess players DS(9); DD(13); and DH(40) are thrilled with it!We started with a real cheapie set and "graduated" to this one . . . for [this price] you cannot go wrong!Believe me . . . you get waaaaaaay more than you pay for!

5-0 out of 5 stars Not bad
Twenty bucks for a wooden folding chess board and chessmen is not a bad deal. However, the old adage "you get what you paid for" holds true here. Craftsman quality is missing in this product. The folding chess board has a magnetic strip to keep it folded. However, the chess board when unfolded for play is a bit lopsided. The wooden chessmen are standard Staunton pieces. However, they're not crafted quality pieces but are adequate enough for play. If you wanted a similar product but of higher quality then be prepared to fork over an additional $30-40 if not more. However, if you wanted a traveling chess set but don't want to pay alot of $$$ for one and don't mind the inferior quality found in this set then this is good buy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Best Chess Set for a Great Price
Although I would have loved to have gotten my fiancee a more articulate chess set, this gem really fit my budget. When he opened it on Xmas day, he was blown away. He really enjoyed it, especially the size. The set comes with a fairly large chessboard and the pieces are nicely sized as well.

He has enjoyed many a chess game with me and our best friends. With all the use so far it has remained in excellent condition. The magnetic closure helps to secure the pieces in the inside of the fold up board. Thus, your floor will not be littered with pieces when you pick the board up. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy
We can play this game with the entire extended family-

Our nephew who is as young as 7 can play this game and it is great for mental stratagies.

I recommend this to all.

5-0 out of 5 stars A classic MUST!
This is a must have for all classic game lovers. With 3 of our 4 children visually disabled, it was quite easy for them to see the dots (easy for the older parents too!). The youngest children were not frustrated because they could match up the dominoes by color, and eventually learned the patterns and counting as well. They are very durable and come inside a tin that has a snug-fitting lid to prevent spills. Detailed instructions are included for many versions of play. This is a perfect game for Family Game night as the games are short enough to complete before younger players get frustrated.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Game Ever !
This Game Is The Best!! I bought this game because it looked so fun!! Even Though I'm Eleven and have no siblings at home I can still play it by my self. Evenmy parents like this game so I don't have to play by myself all the time. I reccomend this game for everyone!

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
We are a BIG TIME game family. We have several of the Cranium games and have thoroughly enjoyed them. After reading the reviews of this game I had hopes that it would be as much fun as some of the others we have played. We gave this game to my 8 year old son for Christmas and it was very disappointing. There is no challenge to the game whatsoever. You choose a card which has a question on it and write your answer on the pad. When you close the lid, the timer starts. The problem is that we have been able to guess the answer within seconds of the timer starting and it's usually the first person who guesses it.We looked to the directions to see if there is some way to make it more challenging but there weren't any suggestions given. We thought we would try to make up our own rules such as NOT giving the first letter on the "word worm" questions, but that made it impossible to guess the answer before the timer ran out.

My son thinks it's "kind of" fun and he still asks to play with it because it is new.The other problem is that each card only has one challenge to it.So once you go through all the cards you are pretty much done with the game.I'm certain there will be a "Booster" pack that will need to be purchased separately if this game ends up being popular.

My overall recommendation, skip this game. There are too many other great games to waste your money on this one.

3-0 out of 5 stars Kids seem to love it
This was my first experience with Cranium games so I don't know how this one compares to the others. My boys, ages 10 and 8 seem to really enjoy the game and it can be fun, but it is not as much fun as I thought it would be after reading the reviews. You draw cards and whatever card you draw determines what activity you do. One activity is to use clay to sculpt your answer to the question. Well, we never have enough time to actually sculpt something. Usually, we just shout out answers without even seeing what the person is sculpting. One activity has you guesstimate your answer to a question, such as "How many times have you flushed the toilet in your lifetime?" A lot of those questions aren't easy for my 8 year old to actually come up with an answer that we could possibly get. And the point is to give an answer that can be guessed because you get points for guessing correctly and for having your answer guessed. So, a lot of the game just seems like shouting out answers and not doing much of the activities. However, my sons seem to enjoy it but I think a lot of it is because their dad and I are playing it with them. Also, you have to remember to push the guess button every time, which so far, my 8 year old forgets to do, so you can get the maximum number of points. Maybe after we play it some more, we will get a better handle on how it is to work and we will get more enjoyment out of it. I wouldn't suggest buying this game unless your kids were a little older than mine. Hope this helps somebody!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Way to spend an Evening
I played my first game of dominos with this set, and I had a blast! The "train" game is very easy to follow. It's a great way to spend some time with a few friends who aren't into trivia games.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dominos are a blast
My roommate and I got hooked playing "train" dominoes, and this is the best set. The dominos are very glossy, colorful and very sturdy, and the set comes with a center piece to keep the starter domino from moving and the domino train in line. I definitely recommend this set.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beware:This Game Is Addictive!
Our friends and family love playing The Train, one of many games that can be played, and the instructions are included. We take our box on vacation, camping, to holiday gatherings, and the evening hours are filled with endless rounds. We occasionally keep score, but not every time.It is a great way to spend face to face time with one another.I give it my highest stamp of approval. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Super Mind / Mighty Mind review
A very nice product, my son has been using the Super Mind version since 3 years old, it really challenges the kids. I wanted to get something that can really challenge him since he started putting 60 - 80 piece Jigsaw puzzles at 2.5 years old.

Well he has now finished the 60 sets of puzzles, the product is really a very useful one and we are quiet happy to have brought this.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best toys we have
Excellent toy.It will keep kids busy for a while.I have three kids, including twins (3 1/2), they all loved this product.I also have the the super mighty mind (different puzzles, same pieces, more dificult).

The toy comes with a series of pieces in various shapes and colors. The pieces are very easy to handle, very durable. The objetive is to pick a card (these are large cards). First, kids have to identify and pick the pieces they will be using. Then, they form a picture or another figure using this small pieces. The first puzzles are easy. Then the level of difficulty increases.

I have bought this product as gifts for friends, all the kids have liked it once they try it.I once saw a "to go" version, same game, same size, but in a travel case.

4-0 out of 5 stars Stick to the basics! This old toy still captivates kids!
This toy is fantastic!I've seen both my kids play with it for hours. It is a great game for independent play, however my own 3 year-old greatly benefits from the help of his 5 year-old sister!I don't think many 3 year-olds are mature enough to enjoy playing it without help from a sibling/adult.After several sessions to help them train their brain how to think, a 3 year-old could happily play alone.

If done in order, the 30 puzzles in Mighty Mind progress in difficulty from using two semi-circles to make a circle, to using all 32 pieces to make a shape similar to a train with cow-catcher!The first 20 puzzles provide color clues in the picture to assist a child in selecting the needed shapes, but the last 10 are without clues and are the most challenging.

I'm at amazon checking the price vs. the manufacturer's website (1smartkid).The price here is a few cents more and is very likely for the PLASTIC shape pieces. The toy was originally made from very nice, colored WOODEN pieces and still is, but for about three dollars more. I'd recommend splurging for it - I don't know how well the plastic pieces would take being stepped on.The pieces do tend to fall to the floor - either by accident or in frustration! We are missing three shape pieces and I found the manufacturer's website while searching for replacement pieces, which can be had for about half the price of a new game.Instead of buying replacement pieces, I decided to upgrade to the wooden Super Mind set instead (exact same 32 shapes).

I just bought two dozen of these games at a fifteen percent case-discount from the manufacturer!I went to their site looking for replacement pieces for the wooden Mr. Mighty Mind (old name)and decided to buy birthday gifts for my two kids' friends in advance since my own children really enjoy this game.I bought a dozen of the Mighty Minds for the 3 year-olds for when they turn 4, and a dozen Super Minds for the 5 year-olds for when they turn 6.My daughter just turned 5 and is getting bored with Mr. Mighty Mind and I'm sure her age group will enjoy the more challenging Super Minds more.Mighty Mind is great for a 5 year old if they haven't done it before - but after hours and hours with it the more challenging Super Mind will be more fun.

TIP: I like to find an age-appropriate, gender-neutral gift for my kids to give as gifts, buy it in bulk (often at a discount!)and spend an hour wrapping them all in advance.I also had a roll of personalized stickers made for each of my kids that say "Happy Birthday from (Name)" and I put the stickers on after wrapping.SO MUCH CHEAPER than buying individual cards! Then, the day of a bday party, we grab a wrapped gift from the hall closet and go!

Mighty Mind and/or Super Mind are both great gifts for this purpose, because even if the child already has one, another set makes if more fun to play with a friend instead of all alone! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Railroad Rush Hour - new moves, new pieces, great fun!
Like Rush Hour, Railroad Rush Hour has you "escaping" the traffic jam... this time in the railroad yard, where the traffic can include rail cars and cargo.Rearrange the pieces to get the engine out.

40 challanges included; nylon bag stores pieces when not in use.Larger than Rush Hour pieces makes this puzzle easier to handle for eager young solvers. And with the new pieces, the challanges are all new and different, even for Rush Hour lovers!

5-0 out of 5 stars Teriffic fun, great value
This game really is great. My autistic 11-year-old gets
a good mental challenge and feeling of accomplishment out of it,
and I have fun as well.My only negative comment is regarding
travel. We've taken it on many plane trips, and it's great
because it fits in a small area to play as well as store, but
it has a lot of small parts (duh! :-), and they are easy to lose
track of when travelling. So be vigilant, and find all those
train cars when putting it away! :-)

5-0 out of 5 stars Railroad rush hour - a great game for all
This is a fabulous game for people of all ages.Even little kids can play the easy cards. The harder ones can be very engrossing for adults. My son started playing it when he was 4 years old. I have also given it to somebody as a present for their 40th birthday.I recommend it for anybody who wants a bit of a mental challenge. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Simple to learn, fun to play, competitive for all ages
A new classic twist on tic-tac-toe.Get 4 in a row, but wait!Your opponent can place a bigger piece over yours, stealing your spot.Pieces stack in 4 sizes, and part of the strategy is to figure out which size piece to play, and when to use your larger pieces to steal.

Kids to adults love Gobblet, and the classic wooden presentation makes it a game to keep on the coffee table for easy play access any time.

And my 9-year-old says, "Highly competitive - I love it!"

5-0 out of 5 stars Gobble Gobble Gobble
I'm a teenager that loves games. I like board games, pencil and paper games, card games, sports...ALL KINDS!! I got GOBBLET for christmas last year. I started playing with my dad and thought this is ok...until he beat me! I was determined to win against him. On the last week of Christmas Break, we played at least 40 games. It's the most engrossing, fun, stategical game I've played. It combines the simplicity of Tic-Tac-Toe with the strategy of Chess and adds a little bit of Memory.

The Object is to aline four of your pieces in a row. Simple right? well the other player can gobble up your smaller pieces. You can gobble up his. It gets tricky to out smart your opponent, but it's ridiculously FUN!
It's for two players and each person gets either black pieces or tan pieces. The pieces are quite nice. They will last longer than ten years if they aren't lost. The board is also nice. The company that makes it, made it extra nice. Everything's made of wood that can take a beating.

Gobblet is the best, most fun game that I own!

5-0 out of 5 stars Highly Recommended!
My 10 Year old daughter got this game for her birthday and we love it! My 7 year old likes to play too! It is a good strategy game and my husband & I like to play with the kids. It stores in a nice wooden box.We take it on camping trips and vacations, it's compact and travels well! ... Read more

Editorial Review

This colorful chess set combines the classic game of strategy and intellect with the wacky and wonderful characters that inhabit the world of the Simpsons. Packed in an attractive metal storage box, the set comes with a fold-up playing board and a complete set of playing pieces. The pieces are all durable, and can probably handle a lot of abuse and mistreatment without being damaged. As a result, fans of the show could also use the pieces as action figures or perch them on a desktop or bookshelf when they are not engaged in a battle of wills on the chessboard. With Homer and Marge Simpson as the king and queen respectively, the chess set also features Bart (bishop), Lisa (rook), and Maggie (pawn) Simpson, as well as Krusty the Clown (knight). --Chris Burns ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great For A Psychologist
This is a great game, it helps do my customers iq's. And its simpsons chess, not an ordinary chess set.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Simpson's play Chess?
This is an excellent gift idea for anybody! This chess set is definitely gets an A+ for fun! Even if you're not a Simpson's fan or haven't heard much about them, this set wonderfully symbolizes the intelligence of the family. Homer is crowned with a beer in his hand while Marge stands taller than the king himself with a rose close to her chest. There is Bart as the bishop, Lisa as the rook, Krusty as the knight, and Maggie portrayed as the pawn. I am surprised, however, that Flanders was not the Bishop. Afterall, he is the holiest of people, the most spiritual to spirits, and the most faithful of all God's faithless souls!
I was asked to rank this toy on an educational level and I gave it four stars. I did so because it is a game of chess. Simply, chess is an educational game that increases your sense of logic and reasoning. Although it is the Simpson's that we are talking about, the fact that if a person can play well with these peices without mixing them up with confusion, then I think you've accomplished something. Skill. As with any chess pieces that are represented by other characters or symbols, you obtain a good sense of awareness and strategy.
This toy is a very fun toy and I would reccommend it to anyone, ESPECIALLY if they enjoy watching the Simpson's. It is fun to play, fun to watch, and fun to display. Friends should definitely be impressed with this chess set!

4-0 out of 5 stars It's an OK toy, but not for the serious player.
This an ok chess set but not worth 29.99.

5-0 out of 5 stars It is really fun when you play it with your friends
I am 6 1/2 years old.I like Pig Pile because I can play it with my whole family.Pig Pile can be a little hard when you are learning how to play, but it is still fun.I only had to play it twice to get the idea of how to play.

5-0 out of 5 stars Universal Favorite - both kids and adults
Whenever we get together to play games with our friends, they almost always ask about Pig Pile. It's a simple game to learn - my little nephews picked it up right away - but there is something deeply fun and satisfying about the dynamic. Plus you get to win cute plastic pigs. Everyone we know loves this game. Another universal favorite is Guillotine, a card-based game that is much more lighthearted than the name might suggest.

5-0 out of 5 stars A family favorite!

4-0 out of 5 stars Cute Poppa!
We got this for our 6 yr old and she loves it.I thought it was really cute and there are a lot of pieces for the pizza! Our 4 yr old found it intimidating at first. She started to have fun when we all screamed each time a topping was placed on the pizza and it began to tip!For a more challenging game, Poppa can stand without the base. The pizza is a little slick, but the pizza toppings were made of rubber which helped (a little) keep the pieces from slipping.A lot of fun for the whole family (our 12 yr old likes it too).I recommend this game for kids 6 yrs and up.

4-0 out of 5 stars GREAT FAMILY FUN!
Our 5 year old daughter got this as a holiday gift. It's turned out to be a favorite game for the entire family and friends. It's a clever, fun, fast and creative game for the whole family.Even our 2 year old son loves it - however it changes the whole out come of the game.He stands back and just throws toppings at the wobbling pie but he's entertained for 15 or 20 minutes so that's worth a lot! We'd recommend this as a birthday gift to kids because it's unique and fun.

4-0 out of 5 stars Challenging
My 5 year old twins really like this game...it is sometimes difficult to balance the toppings, but that is why they like it so much.On the other hand, my 3 year old finds it very frustrating. If you are considering purchasing this for a younger child you can rough up the pizza part with a piece of sand paper to help with the slippage. ... Read more
