Baby Tad is a wonderful interactive toy that makes early learning fun andeasy. Baby Tad (short for tadpole) helps your preschooler learn shapes, colors, activities, and songs. When your little one presses a colored light-up button, Tad identifies the colorand shape indicated on the button. With his cheerful demeanor and infectious laugh, Tadoffers support and encouragement and will quickly become a close and trusted friend.Besides various greetings,a squeeze of Tad's hand brings forth favorite children's songs, sung in a squeaky, high-pitched voice. --Alison Golder ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Difficult to push buttons, turns off quickly
My 10-month old daughter always smiles when I bring out Baby Tad, but in my opinion the toy is not very well designed for babies. The buttons, embedded in fabric, are really hard for her to push. After a few seconds of not having any buttons pushed, Baby Tad turns off automatically, bringing a quick end to playtime unless I'm sitting there with her pushing the buttons. Could have been a great toy, but I think they missed the boat.

5-0 out of 5 stars Baby Tad
I gave my granddaughter this toy on her first birthday, hoping it was not too young for her Every time I have seen her, she has been playing with it.She is 22 months and this time she started singing songs from it (unbeknownst to me). When I started singing with her, she brought it over and we sang every song together. What a perfect toy - colors, shapes, songs!

4-0 out of 5 stars cute and playful but not for a 6 month old
My son learned to love this toy when he was about a 14 months old. It's a cute and now he enjoys it for about 5-10 minutes, but that's about it. The 6 month age suggestion is way too young! ... Read more

Adorable Dora, from the popular Nick Jr. television show Dora the Explorer, will teach your child a bit of Spanish when you press her left shoelace. She stands about a foot tall and swivels around on her oversize sneakers while she talks about color, clothing, and pronounces other common words in English and Spanish. And every so often, when the buttonlike shoelace is pressed, she'll perform the "We Did It" song from the TV show, complete with dance moves and a bit of pop music in the background. Dora is dressed in bright pink and orange clothing that is not removable (the toy is made for kids ages 2 and older) and has a head of thick brown hair. Most of her body is hard plastic, except for her arms, which are soft fabric. We were impressed that she was so sturdy on her feet, even while dancing--you'll probably want to keep her on the floor, though, as she did move across the table we had her standing on. Dora runs on four AA batteries (not included). --M. Sullivan ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My daughter LOVES her Dora doll!!
My daughter received this as a Christmas gift when she was 8 months old.It was love at first sight. She is now a year old and hugs, kisses and chit chats with her doll. She has dropped the doll a couple of times off of her high chair and the doll is still in superb shape.Plus, the doll's hair is easily combed (as it needs to be after beiing handled by an infant having her lunch).

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
This toy was OK right up until some body gave Dora an extra manual twist... Now Dora does not twist or dance anymore... That is 50% of the fun.Her vocabulary is very limited. My husband threw away the box the next day and now I can not return it. One positive comment-My grand daughter did learn how to say Pink in spanish.

Dora the Explorer, "Nick Jr.'s" doe-eyed, Mexican sojourner, converses in Spanish and English as a doll as naturally as a cartoon. From simple, one-word translations to the "Happy Song," Dora speaks and sings using over 30, clearly pronounced, easy-to-learn words. She interacts with four included friends--a star, baby bird, butterfly and frog--who respond with movement, light and sound (via microchips) when placed in her right hand. Dora's body is designed to sit rather than stand (she has a very flat bum and solid posture), so she's actually built to be conversational. Just position her on the edge of a chair and the fun begins. If kids still need something to coddle, Dora has pliable extremities, and her pretty, brown hair can be combed. Her clothes, however, are not removable. Required: 4 "AA" batteries.--Diane Beall ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed!!!!
Half the time Dora doesn't even know what little friend she's holding ,that is if my daughter can find them!!! Most of the time Dora repeats her words over and over and over again like a broken record!! She is a huge Dora fan but has lost all interest in this toy. Wish I could get my money back.

4-0 out of 5 stars For Dora Fans
I bought this for my girlfriend's 3 year old and she absolutely loves it. She takes it with her to school every day. She already learned the little song that Dora sings and knows how to switch Dora's friends on the palm of her hand, herself. It's a good idea to keep Dora's friends always in your sight because once lost the doll will loose some of it's coolness. But I'm happy that I could make a 3 year old jump for joy. Great gift idea for a little Dora fan.

1-0 out of 5 stars This toy is a waste of money....do not buy it!
After opening this toy that Santa brought for my 3 year old (no small feat with the master degree holding packaging engineers securing each and every extremity and accessory piece with a wire), and playing with it for a few minutes, I immediately started to wonder why I couldn't get the toy to say the 30 phrases the box promised. My husband suggested that maybe there is a Spanish mode, but there is no "Spanish" button to be found.Additionally, I too thought for the price paid, the manufacturer could have included Dora's backpack to keep her "friends" in.
As another reviewer stated, I can only get the doll to say 8 phrases unless hola and adios count each as 1, then we're up to 10.
Furthermore, the weight of this doll, if launched, will surely break a window, dent a wood floor or cause a concussion in an innocent sibling standing by.
It should go without saying that this is going back as it doesn't do what is promised on the package. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

"La-la-la-la, la-la-la-la, Elmo's World." Greeting children and parents alike with the theme song to the popular Elmo's World show, this Elmo plush looks and sounds like the real deal. Adorned with soft red fur and a bright orange nose, Guess What? Elmo is equipped with a built-in clock that activates a new conversation topic every day for seven days. When Elmo's hand is squeezed he'll talk about popular topics from the Elmo's World show, including birthday cakes, bugs, balls, hats, bananas, crayons, and shoes. He can say over 200 phrases in all, and whenever Elmo sings or talks, his mouth moves up and down. Measuring a little over 20 inches from the top of his head to the bottom of his furry feet, Elmo is soft enough to cuddle with, but you can feel a solid plastic body inside when you squeeze his tummy or chest. Requires three AA batteries (included) for operation. --Chris Burns ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money
This toy would have great potention to be both fun and educational, if only you could hear what elmo is saying. The sound of the jaw moving covers every word coming out of elmo's mouth rendering the toy useless. As a result my son (19 months) would rather play with his other elmo doll, that says not a word but it great to cuddle with. And this elmo just sits on a shelf rarely touched.Don't waste your money.

    2-0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality...darn
Despite the poor reviews on this item, I bought it for my then-12-month-old who loves Elmo. Out of the box, when Elmo would talk, his mouth would "click, click, click" and get stuck. This is exactly what all the reviews I had read stated. Amazon promptly exchanged it for me, and the same happens with our new one, although not as badly.

It's still a cute toy in terms of educational value. And I like that it can sit up on its own. But it is a very hard "stuffed animal" and not so great for cuddling.

If you're a huge Elmo fan and feel you must have this, know what you're getting in terms of reliability and quality. At the clearance price, I'd say it's worth a shot. I gave it a rating of 2 overall because it consistently fails to perform as designed.

4-0 out of 5 stars the best elmo on the market!
i bought this item for my one year old daughter.although it's a little sophisticated for her, she loves elmo and we play with it together.he says lots of fun phrases and is a much better looking elmo doll than most of the others i have seen.i have but one complaint, i thought the way elmo moves his mouth when he "speaks" was a great feature but it occasionally sticks and makes a loud popping noise.it scares the baby, so she doesn't play with it as often as she might otherwise.overall, i still think it's great and she'll have even more fun with it when she gets a bit older. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy!
I got this toy for my twin sons when they were about 3 months old, now they are 20 months and still love him! He attatches great to the front bar of my Twin Savvy. He makes alot of noises and still keeps them occupied. WE do have to rotate toys now that the twins are older and get bored easily, but Pupsqueak is a favorite! He withstands washings and teething, spit ups, and biting, and even attempts to drop him off the stroller! He makes a cute barking noise and he has alot of little things for a baby to teeth on and to look at. My sons like to fiddle with the rings and hold him, they enjoy listening to him and of course "eating" him. I am surprized in the durablility of all my Lamaze toys and I really didnt think that they would last this long! They are just wonderful! My sons get a kick out of pupsqeak and he really is captivating from birth to childhood, a great toy that will last for years!

5-0 out of 5 stars PUPSQUEAK!
Next to BR Max the monkey (also by Lamaze) and Zach's "lovey", pupsqueak is his favorite toy. Zach is four months old and really really loves pupsqueak. We use him to give variety to our son and Zach really loves him! If we make pupsqueak squeak, Zach goes into hysterics, and my 20 month old twins join in! ITs perfect for those really silent times when everyone needs a good laugh. Along with Max, pups (what we call him) is perfect for tummy time. Pups is also great for teathing, once Zach really starts getting those teeth in! Pups attatches well to almost anything, but my boistrus ball of fire gets so angrey and fustrated if we tether him to anything, he likes to hold him. Pups is very durable and has been easily spot cleaned and even in the wash! The colors are great for my son to stare at and he just loves him. I dont know what it is about Lamaze toys but they sure do put alot of thought into them to make them so gosh darn cute and interesting!

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW
I am dumbfounded. I have two sets of twins, 8 Month B/B and 3 year old B/G. ALL of them LOVE this toy. My older twins enjoy making him a "baby". And giving him kisses amd making him do all kinds of tricks. They could do this with almost anytoy, but the ADORE pupsqueak. That Said I have 2 others wich I gave to my boys. They LOOVVVEE him too! I was amazed. I dont know if its just because hes a dog, (their lovey toys are a black and white dog and a brown and white dog, and they love our boxer and golden retriever mix) or maybe its just because PUPSQUEAK ROCKS! They love it when I attatch him to their carseats, They just got "big boy" carseats and pupsqeak of course had to make the transition too! A few weeks ago we went on a 8 hour car ride, I know that my youngest twins stayed quite mostly because they were soooo comfy in their marathons, and because they had... PUPSQUEAK! They had the option to play with other lamaze toys, which they loved but those just dont compare to pupsqueak. They even like him in the crib and in the stroller, a versitile little toy. And A toy that for 12 bucks will last THREE YEARS, wow talk about getting a bargin! Pupsquek is definatly NUMBER ONE FOR MY LITTLE BOYS! Well maybe number two, but no one ever beats their loveys Puppy and Doggy! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars It's just like Murray's guitar.
This musical red instrument looks just like Murray's guitar from Playhouse Disney and Wiggly movies.

It plays different songs whenever you press their button and sing along with the Wiggles' voices recorded. That's why I love it a lot.

You can "Play your Guitar with Murray" any time.

5-0 out of 5 stars My little musicians love this guitar...
This is a complete crowd pleaser. My boys are HUGE fans of the WIGGLES and they each receieved this guitar as a gift when they were about 3 years old and it's still on their Top 10 list of "favorite toys in the house"!It really has helped them (not that they really needed the help) to come out of their shells and take on a role of entertaining friends and family that come to visit. The guitars are very durable as I've seen them used in my household as a bat and weapon (yikes!) -- nothing has broken yet! There are quite a few of their favorite songs on it and the same buttons keep being used over and over again. If you can stand the repetition of the music and noise I suggest this for the little music lovers in your house.

5-0 out of 5 stars Gotta Get Another One
I bought this toy for my 20 month old son for Christmas, and he loves it!!!! The only problem that I have now is that I have to go out and buy another one for my four year old so that the "It's mine" "it's mine" fights will stop. This was the favorite gift under the tree and I thought my four year was too big for it.SHE LOVES IT, TOO!!It has good sound quality, it is durable (already taking a beating in the tug of war), it is just the right size, and all around a great toy.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!! ... 3-0 out of 5 stars needs to be more clear
This toy is cute and will entertain any child who likes baby tad.As for educational purposes, it is too difficult to discern between the "c" "b" "v" "d" and etc. This is always hard to find in toys but v-tech smart board is the best (the "write n' learn smart board" also will show the letter on a screen, say it clearly, and encourage child to write it)My son loves both toys which both go for $30.But for parents who buy the toy to teach get the v-tech.

2-0 out of 5 stars Fun/educational for the short time it works
We purchased this Little Leap 2 years ago and used it very little until now.It would be a great educational toy if it worked properly. After only a few uses, the buttons around the edges of the "keypad" stopped working and some of the other buttons said the wrong letter when pushed. How confusing for someone trying to learn their letters or phonics!I called the company and they suggested changing the batteries (I already had) and cleaning the battery connections with alcohol (I did and no improvement). They said if I would send it and $20 to them, they would replace it.They called this their 50% guarantee. If you have looked at Amazon's price, it is $29.99.I asked how $20 equalled 50% off. They said 1/2 of $30 is $15 plus $5 shipping and handling!(This is on top of my cost to ship it to them!)

I have read in reviews of other Little Leap products that the company does not stand behind their products. Now I know that is true!My sons have enjoyed all their products that we have purchased, but I will never purchase or request another one now that I know they DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS!!!

Do not buy this product! ... Read more

A soothing alternative to a wind-up nighttime musical toy, this softplush sleeping Pooh, accompanied by his best friend Piglet, can be placed in acorner of the crib and controlled by remote. Playing the music from a distancemeans no more sneaking in to rewind a toy and possibly disturb the baby. Pooh isdressed in a blue nightcap and snuggles on a small pillow, which is a plasticmusic unit covered with cotton. It has a soft flashing light inside and there isan on/off switch underneath. When pressed, Pooh's familiar voice sings alullaby. The blue plastic remote activates one of three choices--soft, tinklingclassical music, a Pooh song, or chirping birds and nature sounds. Parents willneed to decide if the hard plastic pillow unit is a safe choice for their child. The unit comes with three AA batteries, but three more are required for theremote. --Marianne Painter ... 4-0 out of 5 stars My 14 month old still enjoys it...
We bought this before our son was born and use it almost every day still, even at 14 months old.The remote doesn't work very well for us and sometimes it takes a while to manually turn the music off but overall, this is a great product. We even bring it with us when we travel as a family. We love it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy and soother
We bought this for our daughter when she was 3 months old.She is 22 months, still loves Pooh, and it still helps her go to sleep.During this time, I have memorized "Pooh's Lullabee", which is featured in "The Tigger Movie".When I started singing this song to her the other night, she started looking for Pooh.Shortly after getting it I had to remove the music box because she was swinging Pooh around and I didn't want her to hurt herself, actually when I tried to put the box back in Pooh she cried. She loves to hold the music box and will not let it go any farther than the instrumental version of "Pooh's Lullabee".She pushes the button herself and when I hear the nature sounds I know she is asleep.I put this as educational because I let her play with the remote and she is starting to learn that Pooh causes him to sing, the bird is the nature sounds, and the music note is the other songs. She also has figured out that if she puts her hand over the speaker the volume decreases. She still cuddles up with Pooh and Piglet while listening to the music, and having the music box separate allows me to take it out of her crib without removing Pooh so she can't accidentally start him in her sleep. As far as the durability, I am very impressed and extremely pleased because she is not easy on toys.My biggest complaint would be my TV remote sets Pooh off only because when she hears him she has to have him.I am sad that Fisher-Price no longer manufactures this.

I got this for my little girl, she is nine months and loves Bear.I wanted to get her something and had a hard time finding bear in in big blue house items.I am very pleased because it is a very soft talking doll. Most talking plushes are too stiff because of the voice box. This one is great!

4-0 out of 5 stars Looks great...
Bear looks great and is so cute, my daughter loved him when she saw him, then she heard his voice... the voice didn't sound like bear at all, even after replacing the batteries. It was lower and kind of scary. I'm not sure if this was an individual issue, but she hasn't really taken to this toy.

My son loves Bear in the Big Blue House. We got him Bear for Christmas last year and he hasn't had a day without his friend. He drags him everywhere. 3-0 out of 5 stars Wiggles Obsessed Toddler
My son is just 3 and loves the Wiggles, their music and to dance. This toy lets him have it all and what I really like is that it is easy to fold up and take with you. We had his friends over and they all sang and danced around our deck with the mat. I think it is a fun toy that is not too costly and seems fairly durable. However, if you are looking for educational value, this toy has none.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun & Dancing for your kids!
I know that pepole have said that it is frusterating that the songs change as the kids move on the mat but that' s part of the fun of it. Most of the reviewers had children under the age of 2. If you read the box (and on Amazon near the picture), the age range of this toy is 2 & up and Amazon even says 4-7. You need to stay within your child's abilities and not buy them toys that are too advanced for their ages.
I have 2 kids, DD 5 and DS 2. We got this when DS turned 2 and it's been great. It teaches him who the characters are, colors, etc. I can tell him to step on a certain character and he does. He can turn it on and off by himself and really enjoys it. My daughter does too even though she is beginning to et out of The Wiggles.
All in all, it's a fun toy to jump around and get some energy out on!

2-0 out of 5 stars Very Frustrating For A Little One
My 16 month old daughter received this mat as a gift. I have to agree with several of the previous reviewers about this toy. She can't dance ON the mat, she has to be taken OFF of the mat because as she moves about, a new song starts. It is very frustrating for her, and for us to watch her trying so hard to play with the mat. It should have been made differently. I too had to put clear tape over the speaker....MUCH too loud for a little ones ears. Not to mention annoying for parents as the same song starts over, and over, and over.....My advice is buy another Wiggles themed toy for your Wiggles fan! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Favourite baby toy of both my kids
The Whoozit was given to my daughter as a gift and frankly before I had it, I'd have looked at the price and bought a cheaper toy. However it was on her favourite toys as a baby.In fact she played with it until she was 1 1/2 years old, which is a very long time for a baby toy. Now it's my son's favourite. He only has the use of one hand, but it's light enough that he can play with it.It has 7 striped legs with different shapes and textures, a plush red nose that squeaks with a mirror underneath and a terry cloth semi-circle mouth that you can hold onto. The back has a black and white bull's eye pattern which was fascinating to both children when they were under 2 months old.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great baby toy.
I have bought each one of my kids this whoozit and I recently bought my daughter one she is 81/2 months old only I bought her the girl version called whoozit tizoo it is shaped like a heart and WOW she loves it. You can play peekaboo with it and she learns the different shapes and textures. I LOVE this toy and have for years. We also bought the small version for travel. This is a great toy for when they start to focus on things and they will fall in love with it and sleep/play with it for a long time. WHOOZIT is worth every penny...

5-0 out of 5 stars my little girl loves it
My daughter got this as a gift when she was born from a friend that said this was her girls favorite toy.The backside of this toy is a black and white bullseye, my daughter at 2 months could not stop looking at it.Now, at three months, I have this hanging on the side of her play pen (with the help of some link-a-loos) and I prop her up next to it with her boppy and she reaches for the nose, smiles and babbles to it.It so funny to watch her with it.Next to her mobile, and my silly faces, it is the thing that she seems most interested in. ... Editorial Review

What's the No. 1 group dance for the pre-school set? Hint: it's not the "Electric Slide" or "Cotton-Eyed Joe." You guessed it, and so did Elmo: the "Hokey Pokey." Though Elmo doing the "Slide" would be a sight to see, he masters the Pokey quite convincingly, to the probable delight of his toddling fans. After loading his foot with four "AA" batteries, press his hand and he performs the popular jig. He sticks out both his right hand and foot, shakes his body all about, then smoothly spins in place, thanks to a rotating platform under one foot. Elmo even spices up the beat, and sporadically speeds up the action; both innovations crank up the fun factor. The only downside: he was de-plushed, presumably because of all the mechanisms needed to help him dance and maintain balance. The result, still, is an impressive performance. He's just not very cuddly. --Diane Beall ... Read more

Can we say neverstop!! - she ran this thing into the ground!! played with it alllll the time and still does - highly recommend

5-0 out of 5 stars My todler loves it!
I bought this for my son about two months ago. And I believe I must have gotten the most durable one. My 20 month old son was only dancing with him the first two weeks, until he discover that it's more fun to squeeze him, while he shakes, then throw him against the floor or wall. So far it has been over a month, and the Elmo is still singing, dancing, and saying oops or thank you. I would recomend this toy to any one.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good times for kids
My 2 year old has this and loves it. He's already a huge fan of Elmo, so I'm sure that helps. The toy itself is rather neat since it pretty much does the hokey pokey. Elmo puts in his hand in, his leg in and he shakes all about, then he turns around in a circle. Doesn't work so good on carpet, better on smooth surfaces. The sound it good and lucky for us parents, the song doesn't last too long. If you tip him upside down he says "whoopsie!", and something about needing to be turned back upright. Cute toy. My son thinks Elmo is dancing with him. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Fun, but poor quality
Kids love this type of toy.It is one of the most sought after activities in my house. However, it didn't even take one day after filing up the jump-o-lene, that it started to deflate.I definitely am not getting my moneys worth!

2-0 out of 5 stars Won't last long
I have the "castle" version of the Jumpolene. It too popped the bottom chamber after about 6 months.I have to blow it up again every day. But, it lasts about 5-6 hours and only takes 30 seconds or so to inflate with an electric pump...so not the end of the world.

The chamber you bounce on popped the other day.I can inflate it again, but it only lasts about 30 minutes.

I ordered one last year and zone 4 and 6 didn't hold air. I had no problem returning the product but this review is for the actual product.I ordered one again in November and zones 2,5 didn't hold air.Very poor product in regards to quality control. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Well Loved by My Children
The Care Bears were cute when I was a young girl and they are still cute. My children love them. They are non threatening and very gentle and sweet.

The Good Luck Bear is one of my son's favorite bears.

The videos that come with the bears are new. They do not look like old recordings like you sometimes see with old classic videos. Rather these look like they were made today. The pictures are crisp and clear.

Each video that comes with the bear usually has that particular bear asa star of the show.

I don't know how educational videos are but I prefer videos to TV. You can control what your children watch and how much they watch. You can stop and start the show at will. You don't have to worry about commercials or other information coming on the screen. The Care Bear videos are cute. Even the 'bad guy/girl' in the video is not too scary. They teach a nice message about caring, sharing, working towards a common goal etc.

    Enjoy

A Toys "R" Us exclusive, this jumbo-sized Darny makes a soft, sweet companion for pet and plush lovers of any age. Big floppy ears, deep dark eyes, large paws, and a cute tail are all covered in the softest pink and beige fur imaginable. Darny's cuddle quotient goes up even higher, given that she is slightly understuffed for extra "squeezability" when humans need something to soft hug. This Darny is quite possibly the largest dog around. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toys!
My daughter is now 8 months old, and she has had these toys since she was born. When she was very tiny, she enjoyed lying and looking at them hanging from her playgym. Then, they were the first toys she reached out for.She still plays with them nearly every day. These are consistently her favorite toys, and she will choose them over any number of flashier, noisier toys any day!

5-0 out of 5 stars Just adorable
These toys are just the most adorable rattle-type toys I have ever seen.My 8-month old daughter loves to hold them, chew them, touch them and shake them whenever I give them to her (mostly in the car or on stroller walks). They are light-weight (great for packing in the diaper bag), colorful and easy to clean.I find myself picking them up and playing with them occasionally.Very well made.I highly recommend this set or one of the similar Tiny Love sets.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is a great set!
This is a great set!! My son loves to reach and grab these toys. They have helped him some more with his hand eye cordination as well as keep him entertained! We love these. It is an added bounus that they have little rings so we can attach them to his stroller so he can't throw them while we're out. We can attach them really to anything. ... Read more
