I know I say this every century...
"The Simpsons" is obviously the greatest TV show ever, and anybody who disagrees is on crack.That said, it's pretty hilarious that they've made action figures out of practically every minor character that ever appeared on the show, including several characters that don't even have official names (makes you wonder how many kids' Xmas lists the "Sarcastic Man" popped up on), and of course multiple versions of the main characters as they appear in specific episodes ("Resort Smithers," "Donuthead Homer").The other day I saw the "Stephan Hawking" action figure and I just about peed my pants laughing.But then you have this set, which is based on a tiny 30-second clip at the end of the episode about Mr. Burns' long-lost childhood teddy bear "Bobo."At some indeterminate point in the future, Burns has morphed into a head in a jar of formaldehyde (later a popular run on "Futurama") with a robotic body, while Smithers is naturally his iDog companion.Also included is Smithers as Bobo himself, a reference to an earlier part of the episode where he's trying to console Mr. Burns for the loss of his toy.

I have resisted spending hundreds of dollars trying to collect this entire series of "action figures" like some kind of dork, but I HAD to get this one - it's just so cool and obscure!If only they had made the Homer-drawn chariot into a fully-realized 3D thing!

Fantastic Future!
This is one great set in the World of Springfield line! It comes with three great figures that include Future Burns, Future Smithers, and Bobo Smithers. Future Burns is setup like a robot, with his head preserved in a glass container, and the rest of his figure a machine. Future Smithers is the head of Smithers on the body of a robot dog, complete with movable head and four legs. Bobo Smithers comes dressed as Bobo, Mr Burns beloved teddy bear, in a playful stance that actually allows the figure to keep from tipping over, despite being balanced on one leg. Something different about this set, is that the Smithers figures have the glasses glued into their heads, to prevent the tiny accessories from getting lost or damaged. The only real accesory that comes with this set is a beaten up little Bobo figure, somewhat larger than the Bobo that came with Burns Manor. The environment that comes with the set is big enough to hold the two larger figures, while Future Smither prances about. The actual set itself is purple with a yellow background of Homer being used as a slave to lead a cart of rocks. If you love the show or the toy line, this is a must have set!

This is part of a series of detailed, diorama-like environments based on locations from the Simpsons television series. This Moe’s Tavern, like all the environments, is designed to interact with Simpson figures: when you stand them in various spots around the environment, thanks to the Intelli-Tronic Voice Activation System, they speak lines of dialogue. The Duff Man figure included with this environment, for example, cries out "Are you ready to get Duffed?" when you put his foot over just the right spot behind the bar. There are two other "talking points" in the bar that prompt other lines. The tavern itself is detailed, right down to the beer spout and television mounted in the corner (tuned to a channel showing that Mexican bee guy.)The Duff Man comes with cans of Duff mounted all around his belt, can move his arms up and down, swivel his neck, and grip the included mug of frosty brew. ONE OF HOMER'S FAVORITE PLACES!
How can you not love having a Moe's Bar diorama?Homer's favorite watering hole...in fact his only watering hole and the scene of drunken stories, crank phone calls, and much philosophizing.Moe's is one of the best Simpson sets around.Extremely detailed with the love tester machine, corner TV, Tap handles, payphone, heck even the exhaust fan over the door.

As with the other sets it is voice activated when a figure is pushed into the correct spot.The Duffman figure proudly asks, "Are you ready to get Duffed?"But of course the voice activation works with any Simpsons character.Those who negatively complain about promoting drinking just don't get it.These sets are made for collectors, not your 7 year old.Get a grip.Great set and a wonderful bargain right now on Amazon.

The Best Simpsons Toy Out There (FOR ADULTS!!!)
My husband and I LOVE the Simpsons.This show is not necessarily for kids and I don't think it is marketed for young kids.It DOES NOT promote drinking or alcoholism.If you've ever seen the episode with Duff Man featured, you'll know that Barney wasn't drinking because he was the designated driver that night.Simpsons is an intelligent cartoon for adults.Duff Man is a fun character is that off the charts.If you love Moe's, you need this toy for your collection.(Parents need to understand that just because it's a cartoon doesn't always mean it's for kids' viewing!Ex: South Park!!)

Show the Drunkards Love Not Motherly War
Anyone with an ounce of brain KNOWS that this collectible is NOT for children and has real arrogance to post a review shunning Moe's bar for having "adult-like" humor. If your so worried about having your child exposed to alcoholism then here's a suggestion: dont buy this product. It's not like your child, who is banned from watching the Simpson's anyway, will single-handedly go out of his/her way to get this product. If anything..Moe's bar demotes alcohol..with it's trashy/unkempt look and sarcastic remarks pointing to the nastiness of the place. You worrying babblers are not in control of society or how "open" other parents are to their children. The Simpsons and this toy are not harming society, they arent causing kids to take up drinking..they are bringing laughs to Simpsons fans and collectors everywhere. I am 13, my brother is 10, and my parents watch the Simpsons with us. We've started a new tradition of putting up the different Simpson toy environments and decorating our little Springfield with Christmas trees and lights every Christmas. It brings our family closer together..and that is of course what matters..Right? ... Read more

No Pony?
I love this set. I like that the figures are in the classic order of the FOTR and that the bases fit together creating the appearance of one peice. My only SERIOUS regret is that there was NO "Bill" the pony (as exhibited in the close-up display photos) . I'm jealous of the other reviewers whom got one and I guess I'll have to keep searching..... :(

I don't recommend buying this
The 9 piece set was disappointing when i first got it and saw it up close. I did not know that the action figures were going to be that small. Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, etc. are a little taller than 2 inches while the hobbits are about 1.5 inches tall. Well that wouldn't have bothered me that much if the painting on the faces of the figures was well done but it wasn't. Half of Frodo's face looks disfigured and he and the rest of the figures are not very bendable or posable.
Save your money for something better and don't buy this. I'm probably going to return mine.

It is poetic in a way that these figures of Bill and Marty, the only known DJs on Springfield’s KBBL radio station, are not compatible with other Simpsons’ "intellitronic" play sets. Because in the world of the Simpsons, these two would be completely out of place anywhere but the comfort of their own wacky morning show. Figures of Bill and Marty are included here (we hesitate to call them "action figures," since they don’t appear to get much exercise or sunlight), along with a set of the KBBL studio. When the guys have been placed in their designated spots, push a button to hear wince-inducing FM radio clichés like "Well, hot dog, we have a wiener!" and "Nobody rocks like Bill & Marty on KBBL!" Not One Of Your Better Playsets
Sure, It's Ideal for any die-hard simpsons fan, but these interactive environments usually interact with other simpsons figures.This one does not work with any figures except for the two that it comes with

for the price listed, why not?
I've got just about all of the Simpson's Interactive figures but I held off on purchasingBill and Marty until the price came down.Now that I've got them with the rest of the sets, I'm surprised that Amazon was able to keep them in stock for so long--their hillarious.

Prospective lawyer loves it !!!!
For me this set is great! I recommend pairing this set with the blue haired lawyer. The detailing and everything is great, Judge Snyder and the lawyer have a few lines and I plan to put my homer in the witness stand for some interesting testimony. I'm actually thinking of putting this in my office as a conversation piece.

I reserve my judgment
As an attorney and a loyal Simpson's fan, I had to have this one.Unfortunately, I cannot find a Lionel Hutz figure to use with it (is is still available?) and the blue haired lawyer doesn't have Lionel's delivery.The slots for Judge Snyder and the witness stand are too cramped, but the small extras you get with the set are funny (yellow pad, liquor bottle, etc.).Not bad, but could have been better. ... Mount doom here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In my opinion this is the only gift pack which I have.

FRODO: He is good his sting looks realystick but his scabard comes off easily. grade A-

GOLLUM: He looks a lot lik the gollum in the movie he is bendy too. GRADE B+

SAM: he is awsem he comes with his little bag and he also comes with his sword and his cloak is thick:GRADE A++

Journey to Mt. Doom!
At last, Frodo and Sam have reached Mt. Doom, the only place where the Ring of Power can be destroyed. However, slowly crawling the mountain, they run into their former guide, Gollum, who is now determined to retrieve his Precious from the Hobbits. Now, Frodo and Sam must defeat Gollum, and escape with their lives, knowing that the Ring will be destroyed.
This set has my two favorite toys, Frodo and Sam. However, they aren't dressed like in the end of Return of the King. F and S are from the gift set from FOTR in which Frodo and Sam are leaving the Fellowship on a boat. However, they have the greatest likeness I have seen, and they are heavily articulated. Gollum is fully poseable in the fact that he has no joints and is made of a rubber like material. The background has Mt. Doom. Now, here are the stats.
Fun: 5 out of 5 becuase you can create many awesome adventures with 3 of the most memerable characters in the trilogy.
Education: 5 out of 5 because a child can expand their creativity.
Durability: 5 out of 5 becuase I have played with these toys many times and they have yet to show any wear and tear.
This set inculdes Frodo Baggins with Sting and scabbard, Samwise Gamgee with sword and scabbard, and Gollum. Thanks for reading my review!

not up to par with the other Simpsons characters
Database is the consumate computer/math nerd. He comes with a flute, a tray of food and a stack of text books. He has his little red-framed glasses perched on the tip of his nose and when plugged into the different Springfield environments, he spews his nerdy quips such as "We're very proud to make you a member of our very select group."

In the series, Database doesn't get much screen time... but he's clearly larger than most of his classmates - perhaps a little less bulky than Nelson, but definitely taller than most ofthe other kids. In action figure form, however, he's smaller than Bart!

He is typically drawn with his shirt-tail or pocket hanging out over his trousers - but this corner of fabric is painted the same as his pants, and the edge of his pants is a sharp ridge around his middle - definitely not in the same category of realism (if that's the right word) that the other Playmates Simpsons characters enjoy.

Only for the die-hard collector who "must" have every single character to complete their collection.

this figure made me stop collecting
i used to collect every figure in the series.i woke up from my collecting craze when i saw they were making this figure.database is one of the lesser known characters on the show, and rarely gets any lines.that is, of course, until his action figure was announced.then he was featured more and more in the show, with stupid 1 liners.did they write him in just to plug his action figure?maybe.all i know is, the episodes as well as the toy line have been suffering lately.i'm not going to shell out $7 when they're not supplying anything worth buying.from now on, i'll only get a simpsons figure if i REALLY like the figure and the character.and even then i might not do it.

(by the way, i didnt buy this figure.i've just seen it piled on the shelves at the toy stores.)

Luann Van Houten is the recent divorcee - ex-wife of Kirk Van Houten, mother of Milhouse.She comes with a stack of unopened cardboard boxes, an open box labeled "KIRK" (I guess she stole some of his things?), a packing-tape dispenser and a squeeze bottle of butane (presumably to set Kirk's belongings on fire). She otherwise seems pretty happy with her blue hair.

Creepy Ringwraiths
If you are a true LOTR collector you know no collection is compplete without the bad guys. These guys are creepy in the book and in the movie so I really wanted to have them. You get three of these and they are all different and they look great up close. I recommend buying them!
