Must have for Scooby Doo fans!
The mystery machine may be made of plastic, but it is pretty sturdy. My 4 year old son can vouch for that! He absolutely loves this van! The back of the van flips open so you can trap the 2 glow in the dark monsters in the cage, and it has a door that can lock them in! My son loves it that he got his 2 favorite characters (Scooby Doo and Shaggy) with this van. The front doors of the van open so the characters can go inside. This is a wonderful toy for any scooby doo fan!

Disappointed in toy
Although my son loves the Mystery Machine, it is made of CHEAP, CHEAP, plastic.Shaggy's arms keep falling off, the scooter is already broken, and the ghose cage is always coming apart.If I had known it was going to be like this, I would have never ordered the van.

My 2 year old son got this toy for christmas and he loves it. He has not put this toy down. My 3 year old daughter loves it as well, so much Im going to order her one as well. The name Tonka means "big 'n' chunky" to many people, and this dump truck doesn't disappoint. Even the plastic chassis and front end are sturdy, and the tipping truck bed--itself nearly a foot long--is a solid slab of yellow steel. The tires are almost 5 inches in diameter and can ride confidently over any random pile of lesser toys. This is not a vehicle with a great deal of sophistication--the truck bed tilts, and that's it--but it is one that encourages, and can take, a lot of rough use. over aged tonka lover
i got it used and kinda rusty (...)it is stronger than nails i play in my garage with it & hall gravel in it its a good sizei over flow it with rocks & unhapply end up crashing it sometimes dosnt scratch this monsteri have had plastic trucks before they did not hold up very well i recomend it for all little kids your not 2 old for till u cant engoy it no more

Tonka Tough
It is a very durable toy.My boys (ages 3 & 5) have pushed each other around in it for a year or more. It has taken trips through the rock garden and weathered a few rain storms too. With a little care and cleaning it looks a great as the day we got it.Not to mention the hat is really neat!The tools last quite a long time for staying outside all year. Most other sand/dirt toys last a month and then crack and break into a million pieces.

Built Strong for Hours of Fun!
I remember when I was a child and I received a Tonka dump truck for Christmas.Now that I have my own son, I've carried on the tradition and purchased one for him.Tonka has always been known for their strong and durable toys, and this mighty dump truck keeps up the tradition.Although no longer completely made out of steel, the plastic is still stong and durable and holds up very well.The colors are bright and inviting, and the main parts (i.e. dumper and cab) are still made from steel.I highly recommend this excellent toy.I hope my son gets as much joy and fun from his new mighty dump truck as I did when I had mine. ... Not just fun
This toy does what all toys should do! It doesn't just entertain a child it challenges him to be creative and resourceful.After he's jumped over just about everything in his room he can construct pyramids and walls of toys that he can then jump over or into.When the constructed walls get to big to jump he can buil a ramp to jump his truck even higher.After seeing how much fun this toy is I just had to write this review!!

endless possibilites for Excitement
This is a Awesome toy.Definately a BIG BOYS Toy for kids. It jumps almost a foot every time. Its just like going to the Monter Truck races right in our own living room. My 7 year old son loves to raise the bar every time he jumps it.First he starts with small cars and then he builds big walls. The excitement possibilites are endless.He sits for hours by himself or with friends either seeing how many things he can jump over or how big the crash is when he builds up walls.All of his friends love it too.You must make sure you read the directions on the bottom of the box so you know how to work it.Then let it rip!

Big air Fun!
Like the others it took me a little time to figure out how to get the truck to latch down, but from there I showed my two boys what to do and they were off jumping over and through all they could set up indoors and out.It's worth the time and money to get this and figure it out!!! ... Read more

Rugged Riggz Are Great!
My son got this as a Christmas gift just after he turned 2.He is 3.5 now and still loves it! The motorcycles hold up really well, but they can be tricky to put on the flatbed.So, he really plays with them separately.The truck and trailer, however, are his favorite toys and he plays with them all the time.He can get the trailer onto the truck very well on his own and carries his hot wheels around on it all the time.It is virtually indestructible.Buy it for your 2-year-old!

Absolutely great toy!
My 2-year-old loves this truck and the motorcycles!It's very durable, and even has endured my toddler trying to ride on it.Love the no-scratch tires too!This is a VERY, VERY nice toy and a great gift idea for any little boy.

fantastic non-chokable motorcycle toy! woowee!
Honestly, the truck that hauls the toys gets mostly ignored but the motorcycles OVERJOY my son. I bought them when he was a bit over 18 mos - he loves motorcycles and it's almost impossible to find a well designed motorcycle toy for the under 3 set, so this toy is definitely worth it.
No chokable parts, very durable and chunky enough that it probably won't get lost under the fridge, couch or low table (which as we all know can cause a mini-meltdown). It's great that you get two motorcycles, one for each grabby toddler hand, hahahahaha. ... Read more

Cool cruiser
My kids seem to be enjoying this cruiser. It is very "cool" looking....and the nice larger size that most RH vehicles are, but not obnoxiously large.

I agree with the other reviews about the robot/tow capacity!It doesn't seem to stay in place long enough...although they have seemed to pull some things for periods of time...it occasionally falls off though with enough force.The robot guy itself is pretty cool, just wish it did it's job under the car properly.(Oh, and one of my sons doesn't get why the robot hooks more to the "front" to tow, rather than the back..."that's where the tow truck does it, mom! It should be in the back!"-according to him, and he's right!heehee)

I still think it is worthwhile if your child is into RH/vehicles.

Nice Cruiser, Dumb Accessory
My 4-year-old is new to Rescue Heroes so we started his collection for Christmas. We bought this cruiser, but I didn't really understand that you needed the action figure-sidekick combo to really have fun with it (the talking back and forth). My son doesn't really care, he just uses the 2 regular figures he got. He drives it all over the house and it seems to really be a sturdy toy. The robot thing you snap onto the bottom is really stupid, though. Did anyone even test it before putting it on the market? I can't get it into place quite right and when you use it as a wench to pull something else it just falls right off. Good thing my child is creative, he just has the robot stand up and pull "stuck cars" out of the "mud" by itself.

Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'
Our son "somehow" let this fall down our stairs onto our hardwood floor...it survived and still works fine...I do agree with the robot and the magnets underneath...not real easy to deal with, but overall, this is a cool toy. ... Read more

Bruder Toys
Our 3 1/2 year old loves all the Bruder trucks.They may be made out of plastic but, they are still very tuff.Our son sits on them without any problems.We love the detail of all of vehicles.It makes learning about heavy equipment fun.All of the vehicles have working parts and Bruder's attention to detail is unsurpassed.The small details adds intererst and play time longevity to the toys.Our son plays with them every day and knows the difference between quaility constructed toys and cheap toys.The wheels get pulled off of other brand trucks and put into the dump truck bed of the Brueder.Brueder is the only brand that we will buy!These are not flawed third world country plastic toys.All parts are made and assembled in Germany!The cement mixer is next on his wish list.

High Quality Plastic . . .Not Exactly
Purchased this for a 3 1/2 year old boy.Was hesitant about buying any large, plastic truck, but we did not see any alternatives at the time we purchased this.We should have stuck with our instinct.When it arrived, we were immediately struck by the fact that the plastic seemed flimsy, and that many small plastic pieces that are attached to the grader appeared and felt so cheap and flimsy that we doubted they would survive 5 minutes of play, in our humble opinion.We were not going to wait to find out, and we decided to send this back.You can get a STEEL Tonka 18" grader off of ebay for less than what Amazon is asking for this plastic thing.That's exactly what we did.Good luck! ... A good RC Truck
[...]BTW, this is not the only mistake they have made in the RC section, some toys listed as 49MHz are actually 27MHz and vice versa, but on to the review...

This truck and the Ninja Turtle 6V truck are the same thing, just the outside plastic body differs.The Ninja Turtle one is 27MHz and the Batman is 49MHz (good to know if you have 2 kids that like RC trucks like I do).

Both trucks have "wheelie" wheels on the back so the truck can do "wheelies" without flipping over (one of the best features according to my 4 year old) ...
On "L" (low) mode, both trucks are somewhat fast, handle rocks and grass well and can perform "wheelies"
On "H" (high) mode, both trucks are pretty fast, can zip around on pavement and driveway faster than my 4YO can control it, but can't do grass or rocks very well unless the battery is very fresh.

The battery charges in 4 hours and last about an hour before running out (that's actually pretty good).You can find the recommended battery online in other places ($14.99).We went to Toys R Us and bought a generic one also ($14.99) and they both seem to perform equally.

Can't rate the toy since we can't PLAY with the toy!
I bought this as a x-mas present for my son.. I was under the assumption from the description given that the battery was included. The description says "Batteries: 1 9 volt battery required. (included)". WRONG!!! It requires a 6v NiCd and charger in addition to the 9v that is NOT included. Needless to say, we have yet to play with this toy and its 4 days after x-mas. Its not the toy that deserves the 3 star rating, its Amazon and actually they deserve less for the false advertising!

Misleading information
Order this toy for my 5 year old son.....
The truck is great but the description only indicated that a 9 volt battery was needed and it was included.
The battery was not included. The truck also needs a 9.6 V Rechargeable Turbo Battery Pack and Charger which was not stated in the description and will not work.
Talk about a lousy Christmas for my boy....
Someone needs to make sure if a car or truck needs special batteries that this information is in the description.
As I stated before...the information stated that a 9 volt battery was included and no batteries are part of this package.
I wish there was someplace else I can complain about mis-advertising!!! ... Read more

King of the road
I want to make sure that all of my inferiority complexes are passed down to my children, that's why I'm getting all of my kids the Yellow 16" Hummer for Christmas.

While only a miniature version of the actual vehicle, they will appreciate the powerful statement that all Hummer drivers make when driving this Force Majeure down the road. My kids can practice what it feels like to drive this bold-colored giant, and imagine all of the awestruck looks they'll receive.

It's big. It's fast. And yes, with a few well-placed pieces of plywood and a little imagination, the Monster Truck could probably do some of those cool jumps you see at the truck shows. He's 3 & he's pulled the rollbar out of one & yanked wheels off both but I've repaired the wheels & for $10 I think it's a good value.

Ran over truck with my car
My 2 year old plays with this truck constantly. He even has to bring it to grandma's. He favorite activity is to sit in the bed of the truck and ride it like a rider. He is actually very good at this, he can control his speed with his feet. I am now ordering a second one. This is the first toy that I have ever replaced with the same toy when it broke. It was left under my SUV and I ran over it twice. The wheels were a little bent, but were straightened and the roll bar was broken, but other than that there is not a crack anywhere on the truck. Talk about tough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Best Investment!
I bought this truck 3 years ago for my son's 1st birthday.There has not been a day since that he has not played with it.I had to buy one for my second child when he turned one b/c they were starting to fight over it.These two trucks are the most durable toys I've ever purchased.The best toy investment I've ever made.Of all the toys that have come and gone these are still in PERFECT condition and still keeo their attention.My kids even play with the kids on the block racing them down the driveway until they all crash - they are indestructable! ... Quality a BIG disappointment
Breyer used to be synonymous with quality, but they forgot about quality with this truck and trailer.They are very detailed and would be okay for display on a shelf, but the materials used to construct the truck and trailer are very poor.The plastic is cheap & flimsy, the hitch is ridiculously cheap and highly breakable if used to pull the truck, the doors don't set correctly and thus won't open and close properly.Most children (and parents) will be very disappointed in this very, very expensive set.(....)

This is very poorly made. within 3 hours of my son getting this truck the muffler broke off along with the hitch. JUST horrible that we spent this kind of money on something soooo cheeply made. I have never been more disapointed in a toy for my children!
