EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!
i rate it a 5 .it was worth it.it lasted a very long time not like other cars.also it was a very strong car when i tryed it out it went through rocks it worked .this car is the BOMB!!!!!

Wow. It's Great! NOT!
i purchased this for about 30 dollars and i thought i was gonna love it. Before i even played with it, i needed 6 AA batteries. So i got 6 rechargeable ones. I charged the batteries and started to play with it. I like it alot but then, it wouldn't go on my grass lawn! so then i decided i hated it. i took it apart to see if i could turn a switch or someting to make it go faster. i took it all apart and the put it under my bed. the next day, it was gone.

Great fun for my son!
Wish I had a camera in hand when my 4 year old opened this. He loves Toy Story and was thrilled that he now had figures he could act out some scenes with. The only thing I was disappointed with was the spaceship is not the most durable of toys. It probably won't stay in great condition long. The doors on it are flimsy. But the figures themselves seem pretty indestructable. They are hard plastic. Would recommend for all Toy Story fans. ... Read more

A great addition to any child's rescue hero collection
My 5 year old son has had this toy for 3 months and he still enjoys playing with it.He has almost all of the Rescue Hero vehicles and this is one of the few he uses on a regular basis.His favorite feature is an orange button on top that causes the "feet" to pop out.There are also 2 pinchers that unfold from the bottom that come in really handy for rescuing people or animals.One rescue hero can sit inside and each pincher can hold another.

This toy also really allows my son to use his imagination.He'll sit for over an hour with it and his other Rescue Hero toys rescuing his toy animals and toy cars from earthquakes, volcano eruptions and more.

This toy is super durable.It has been stepped on, dropped and thrown down the stairs and it still looks as good as new.Any young rescue hero fan would enjoy this toy.:-) ... Read more

Not just fun
This toy does what all toys should do! It doesn't just entertain a child it challenges him to be creative and resourceful.After he's jumped over just about everything in his room he can construct pyramids and walls of toys that he can then jump over or into.When the constructed walls get to big to jump he can buil a ramp to jump his truck even higher.After seeing how much fun this toy is I just had to write this review!!

endless possibilites for Excitement
This is a Awesome toy.Definately a BIG BOYS Toy for kids. It jumps almost a foot every time. Its just like going to the Monter Truck races right in our own living room. My 7 year old son loves to raise the bar every time he jumps it.First he starts with small cars and then he builds big walls. The excitement possibilites are endless.He sits for hours by himself or with friends either seeing how many things he can jump over or how big the crash is when he builds up walls.All of his friends love it too.You must make sure you read the directions on the bottom of the box so you know how to work it.Then let it rip!

Big air Fun!
Like the others it took me a little time to figure out how to get the truck to latch down, but from there I showed my two boys what to do and they were off jumping over and through all they could set up indoors and out.It's worth the time and money to get this and figure it out!!! ... Read more

I love this set it is wayyyyy cooler than slimecano.
I realy love this play set. It has a launcher, a swamp beast that trys to knock the cars out of the track and, a hyperpod vehicle that is used to defeat the swamp beast. On this playset the car has to keep going around the track until the way to the swamp beast is open. when its open the car goes to the hyperpod vehicle then the hypervod vehicle goes defeat the swamp beast. You have only 30 seconds to defeat him. each time you defeat him he takes out 2 seconds off your time and when you lose he puts 2 more seconds. Buy 2 alkaline batteries they work the best on this set. thats what it said on the box of the set. I think this set is very cool because

3.you have to keep going around the track and watch out for the swamp beast's arms they will knock the car out the track.

I love this playset. On the playset theres one booster a swamp beast with two arms trying to hit the car out of the track and you have 30 seconds to defeat him. Each time you defeat him he takes away 2 seconds and when you lose he puts 2 more seconds. I would recommend this item to anyone who likes hotwheels playsets

Way cooler than Slimecano!!!
We returned the Slimecano (see the 1-star rating it got) and bought this as a replacement for our 5-year old son. This is the Hot Wheels I remember! Plastic, snap-together tracks, motorized accelerators for propulsion, fast, high-banked turns. This product actually works the way it portrays on the box. The beast's arms really go up and down and sometimes knock the car off the track. The beast's voice is neat, it sounds like a swamp beast should (think Pirate's "argh!"). I really like the timer on it, you only have 30 seconds to "defeat the beast" which means complete enough laps to trigger the upper loop diverter so your car goes on the inner track, hitting the "hyper pod attack vehicle" which provides the car with enough mass to knock the trigger and causing the head to pop off. If you win the beast knocks 2 seconds off your time (lose and add 2) and starts another round. The victory sound effects are pretty cool, too. Great add on but make sure you have enough track!
Love this add on to this set.My son already has the basic set, rescue squad, construction set, mile high mnt. but we had to get this too.Only issue with this one is make sure you have anough ramps and straights to incorporate 3 levels of fun into your kids train sets.It not only goes up but crosses through too!Parental guidance necessary when building up otherwise track bldg. conflicts with lower levels.My son loves that every night after he goes to bed I reconfigure the set another way for another days play.

Great Add-On Fun
I have a 6-year old son with special needs.The Geotrax system is simple enough for him to use and, although only one train can run at a time for him, he loves switching between trains and having mom create new layouts for him.One hint to prospective buyers:rechargeable batteries!For the initial price, they are well worth the investment.Thanks, Fisher-Price for a great toy!We love the music and the bells and connecting the tracks to both upper and lower levels!

This is a great add-on to your geotrax system.Three levels of fun.The top two levels include music and sounds.I will say, the music could be a little louder.With the motorized train running it tends to be hard to hear.You definitely will need to buy at least one, probably two, elevation packs to fully utilize the top two levels.It is, hands down, my son's favorite part of his train set. ... WOW!!!!!
I have not had one of these things since I was a kid.Well per my wife I'm still a big kid.My nephews and I have been playing with it for hours and hours (I hope they want to go back home when there parents show).I was really amazed with how much slot car tracks have improved.I would highly recommend this to anyone.If you read the directions and follow them you will not have to worry about breaking the track and/or cars.The track fits better than the old track use to fit together.The cars are much wider and handle the corners alot better and you can run them at full speed.Again I highly recommend this slot car set it is very fun and exciting to play with one again. Hope this helps anyone looking into this set.

I would recamend this toy to a lot of kids. Its educational because it challenges the the child to build one track and then think of another kind of track to build. Disappointed Son
Santa didn't realize Tyco's Terrain Twister (a pricey toy already!) needed this expensive battery pack--we even went through several garbage bags to see if we had accidentally thrown out the battery pack with the toy box.After calling every toy store in town, we ordered the battery pack through Amazon (back ordered for several weeks).The first time my son tried this toy in the tub, it died.Very expensive, disappointing toy.

I had already purchased toys for nephews as gifts.They are brothers and would've been able to share the same battery pack, if Tyco would sell batteries separately.I'll make sure not to do this again to another parent!

I bought my son the TYCO Rewinder toy 2 years ago for Christmas.I put it up and am just now buying batteries for it.I too feel very deceived by TYCO for not advertising up front regarding the need for the special battery.Now when I get the battery in the mail, I realized I need TWO batteries for the rewinder to work.I will not buy another TYCO Product.I feel something needs to be done about FALSE ADVERTISING! ... The worlds of toy racetracks and haunted houses have never exactly begged to be placed together but it's an interesting and highly entertaining match in this unique set from Matchbox. Part of the ever-expanding "Hero City" line, the haunted house features various secret traps and tricks such as a skeleton that launches cars with a good shove, a "Bones and Moans Bridge" full of scary sounds, and various other classic spooky bits. One car is included although the two required AA batteries are not. Favorite Toy

Fun except when the Van is Stuck
Like others, I bought this toy b/c it resembles the Mystery Machine and my child loves Scooby & haunted houses. A great design overall with cute action & sounds...BUT almost every time the van goes through one of the turns, it gets lodged inside. You have to get it out with a hand or shake the toy to get it rolling again. If it didn't have the one catching place, it would go smoothly. This had an initial great 'wow' factor and my child was most excited opening it out of all their Christmas gifts, but soon tired of the van constantly getting stuck inside.

I'm a "Grown-Up" Toy and Game Enthusiast, and I can tell You with much confidence that this Playset is Destined to Become a Classic.It's simple, yet complex enough to keep anybody's attention... both Young and Old.It's made of the durable kind of plastic, not the cheap stuff that tends to crack or break if You sneeze too hard.The sound effects are right on target... not too loud, not too soft, and definitely not distorted.Some assembly is required, but it's very minimal and not a big deal... the only Hard part is unattaching it from the inside of the box... so take Your time with that part, as to not accidentally damage anything.Bottom line, this Playset is definitely worth Your hard earned Pasos. :) ... race set fan
This set will amaze you with the speed and precision. The cars stay on the track almost at full speed which is almost too fast to see. Will give many hours of enjoyment and is warranted for life.

High Hopes then Disappointment
We were very excited to assemble and play w/this classic toy; Our 6 year-old-son has discovered Nascar. Unfortunately, the guard rails did not stay on and the pieces did not snap together easily.
Once assembled one track worked very well - the car went so fast it flew off the track ! The other track worked inconsistently then not at all.
If this toy did work it would be great fun !

HO slot cars not like they used to be...

Back in the early to mid-sixties, I built several 32nd scale tracks from scratch.I picked this one up on a whim, anticipating an afternoon or two of pale nostalgia.Boy, was I surprised.

This is nothing like the early HO sets.The cars are very fast, and handle well.Detail on the LL cars isn't very good, but Tomy's excellently detailed Super G + cars work great.

LifeLike support was good- one of my cars died, and they sent a replacement right away.

This is an excellent value, and makes a great father/son activity.It's a good way to learn about basic physics and electricity, as well as the need to care for and maintain machinery.

Really fast and very nicely styled car
This R/C Car combines very nice style (the new Mustang looks really cool) as well as a super-fast engine that easily gets ahead of many other R/C vehicles in its category.The speed has a cost though, and it is the loss of sensitivity on making turns -- it's hard to maneuver in situations where you need to be in control (e.g. roads designed for R/C Cars).

The toy's educational value is mostly on helping your kid develop fine movements.

Durability is quite good, despite the fact that the car lacks bumpers in its front and rear ends, something that is common on R/C vehicles designed for speed.

The fact that the car supports either batteries or a rechargeable battery pack is really nice.Buy the Ni-Cd battery pack and you will love not spending as much in batteries.

The Resistor takes off from its own computer-operated launch pad with a single press of the Launch button from the remote. A large toggle button moves the plane either left or right as the plane hits scale speeds of up to 400 mph and flies up to 300 feet away. For quick speed, a Thrust button on the remote gives it a 25-percent extra power boost, and for a smooth, even landing, a Land button brings the Resistor down safely. must have
this is my third year buying an airhog plane. I went from the small hand held chargeres to this plain. downside - not for young children, my son is 5 and loves the plane but he can not fly it, he loves to watch and chase it. you can not fly this or any other air hog in a strong wind. I recently had one fly away and lost it in the wind. only fly it in the summer with a light breeze but once you get the hang of it, it is alot of fun. they say fly it in a open field, good suggestion but I dont, I fly it in my front yard and between the houses and been doing ok. this is my second resistor, the first finally broke at the end of the summer but got the whole season out of it before it finally broke. I estimate I flew it about 200 times before the wing broke. once you tape it it never flies the same.

WORST WASTE OF FIFTY DOLLARS
I got 50 $ for my birthday and I really wanted a R/C plane, so I bought this thing. Big mistake. First time I tried it was too windy, and part of the tail wing broke off. Second time, there was almost 0 breeze and it took off, but then did half a U turn crashing into the ground. Now I have a "plane" if thats what you'd like to call it sitting next to me with part of it's tail wing off and white spots all over from chipped paint. DO NOT BUY THIS THING

Great Beginner R/C Airplane
After reading some negative reviews, I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this airplane, but when I found one on sale, I had to find out for myself whether these reviews were accurate or not. This airplane was almost too easy to fly! I did crash it the first time,(no damage)but after that, it was almost flying by itself. As long as you follow the INSTRUCTIONS, you shouldn't have any problems. I took it to the largest grassy field I could find and off it went. Since I had owned another toy R/C airplane before, (which I had destroyed just learning to fly) I started with the #2 setting (advanced). The airplane was almost too responsive, making sharp turns and climbing continuously (I didn't have to touch the thrust button once). I switched to the #1 setting (beginner) and the airplane was much easier to fly. The only thing about this setting is that when the airplane was flying into the wind, it seemed like it was standing still in mid air. The landing button didn't seem to be very effective, as the airplane would not descend until it was runnning out of batteries. But with a flying time of about 3 minutes, I didn't care much anyway. Once I could tell the battery was starting to drain, I was able to maneuver it for a soft landing in front of me. This airplane is indeed a lot of fun, and I played with it for an hour before realizing how long I had been out there. If you're looking for negatives, the flight time is indeed short (3 minutes), but the charge time is short as well (3 minutes also). It's a light airplane, which means it won't perform too well if there's anything more than a light breeze. Even though the box says "Flies at up to 400mph scale speed", don't let this statement fool you. Compared to other R/C airplanes I have seen, the Resistor is SLOW, which is actually a positive for beginners. Be careful with the airplane's antenna! It's a long thin coil sticking out of the tail. I almost thought I had ripped it off when I stepped on it as I was picking up the airplane, but I didn't, which was a blessing since the instructions stated that if the coil is ripped, the airplane won't be able to receive signals from the remote control. The airplane is indeed mostly made of foam, but it's much sturdier than the previous airplane I had owned. There was absolutely zero damage after flying it for an hour (my previous airplane would loose a section every time I crashed it!). Overall, the Resistor is a fun, great airplane! I would recommend it as long as you keep in mind that it is a TOY and not an advanced R/C airplane. ... Read more

Okay, it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense that SpongeBob SquarePants and his starfish friend Patrick are racing around in cars. They live under the sea, after all. Wouldn’t the cars, you know, float away? But "sense" is something best dispensed of when exploring SpongeBob’s world. We are, after all, talking about a necktie-wearing kitchen sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea. This cool little racetrack is sure to please the SpongeBob faithful with thoughtfully detailed set pieces such as the Krusty Krab restaurant, and the homes of both SpongeBob and Patrick. A real toy which teaches
This is not a toy you can fob off on your kids alone. You need to get down on the floor and play with them. And like most realtoys, you need to learn to use it, and even modify it for your kids' abilities. That's part of the educational value.

I think the complaints I have read below are because people are missing out on the fun of playing with and teaching their kids. I have uploaded some photos to the gallery to show how to make simple guard-rails which snap right into the guard-rail (!) slots on the track. Use a flat setup, not the elevated figure eight pictured on the box. Also as another reviewer wrote, just wrap a rubber band around the speed plunger to keep little ones from going too fast.

Over the years I have had lots of racing sets and I am impressed with the price and quality of this one. Well made durable track, clearly marked with letters for easy assembly. The cars have high-quality braided track brushes, just like expensive slot cars.

It runs forever on brand-x alkaline D batteries. Or you can use cheaper AA batteries with a batter upsizer kit available for a buck or two at any CVS, Walgreens, Eckerds, Walmart, or K-Mart. Upsizers are just plastic tubes which make the AA batteries as big as a D battery. You can even use rechargeables.

My son (6) and pals love playing with this toy. They laugh and shout and make up little SpongeBob stories. They like to challenge Dad and Pop-Pop to races where they really just try to run us off the track at the squeeze lanes.

Too many toys are virtual these days, like video games. Real toys like model cars, planes, boats, jump-ropes, balls, teach patience because they don't just work perfectly and teach a lot of lessons. Buy it and teach your kids the lesson that the real world is not neat or simple.

I LOVE IT!
I can't believe all the bad reviews there have been for this awesome toy! I mean, sure, it stops some times, but it SO worth the money! If I were you, I'd get it! My brother, Bobby Gelhar, and my sister, Katie Gelhar, think that it is awesome! I love it, and I know you'll like it, too, if you like Spongebob, of course. It might have trouble the first time, but it is really fun when you get it going. I spent hours playing it and thought that is was so cool! Whoever thought of this toy is a genious!

Excellent kit with additional instructions for two racers
This is a fun, challenging kit to build with lots of moving parts and a great engine and steering mechanism. It comes with an additional instruction booklet with detailed plans for two Formula 1 racers.

Rescue Truck
The Rescue Truck is a strange looking affair about 13" long or so.I like the engine and the 3 axle steering.I can't see,
however, what is new about the steering system.I have dozens
of technic sets and it's nothing new.The water hose can be adjusted (cool), but it's always breaking.Although this is a
good idea for a set, I'd make it bigger (aviation fire trucks
are huge!) and I'd make it more realistic.It's an all right set.

Wow, what can I say about this lego set. It is amazing! It has a new type of steering, which has never before been seen in/on a lego set. It also has eight wheels that are each huge. Not so durable
Once the 2 sides of this case come apart they never stay back together. It looks like it's supposed to snap on and off but the plastic doesn't stay the same after. Not so good for the younger kids that like taking things apart. Also, the way that it shuts isn't so great as it's not reliable.

A lasting toy...
I got my son his first case at age 2 and it survived the terrible 2s.Now at almost age 9 with 2, still, intact cases and a history of 2 other brands (no longer with us)...will purchase more of the Hot Wheel case to replace the overflowing shoe boxes he is now using to store his cars.

Good but not great.
I got this set for my birthday.I liked it,because it was very
realistic.It had real cloth for sails.It also had 12 soldiers.It
was easier to build than other sets.But I think that they should have aded more Draigar.All in all it was a good set.

durable fun and uh durable
There was a guy somewhere up there called Michal Harringer and I think he has some serious issues, to say mega blocks is a cheap substitute to lego, hwell I'm a lego fan so i will support them but mega blocks is not a cheap substitute, they're artists. They don't do the rubbish lego do even if there bricks arn't as good, they give fine quality products like this Man'o'war. Durable detailed artistic in fact i think you and lego are jealous.

Great ho race car
If any priced these cars atocal hobby shops lately you will know that [$$$] for two of them is a steal.These cars are extremely fast and feature the magnetic tration so even the youngest racers can enjoy them with little or no skill in ho racing.They are far superior from the cars I used to have when I was a kid both in speed and staying on the track.They allow my 4 year old to race like a pro! The pick up shoes are a little fragile, dont even consider cleaning them but you can buy them online; 10 pairs for [$$$] so i guess its not to big of an issue

Fast Paced Fun
My son (age 4 ½) likes the paint schemes on most NASCAR vehicles and this twin pack was no exception. He loved the flames on the Dupont #24 car and liked the lightening bolt printing on the Valvoline #10 car. But looks were not the only thing this twin pack had going for it. I liked the price; two cars for the price of one is a great price. I bought this twin pack as an addition to a Life Like Racing set. These two cars run extremely well and really hold the track at higher speeds. They are well built, run well fast or slow and look great. The paint scheme on these cars is not currently being used by the real NASCAR sponsors that they represent (the paint scheme is 2 or 3 years old) but at two cars for the price of one who cares. My son and I have had hours of fun with these cars and I would highly recommend this pack to anyone looking to add more cars to their lineup. ... Read more
