SO MUCH FUN FOR THE HARD TO PLEASE CHILD!
My son loved this toy. My 40 year old husband loved this toy just as much. At first I didn't think it would be easy for a six year old to work with but he picked up on it so fast. It's ok..i guess?!
well, i got this plane at a hobby store that was going out of buisness.(...)I was hoping that it would fly.I tried it in my back yard, but it didn't work.It kept nose-diving into the ground.I went to a park, and it nose-dived again and again.2 props snapped.I finally gave up.

This type of plane is decent for beginners
While I have not flown this plane, I have the FirebirdXL which looks almost exactly the same.However, the Firebird, you can get at hobby shops, which carry spare parts, and it came with an instructional video.It also was about $100.I crashed the thing my first flight into a pond, but if you let it dry for a day it's good to go!These planes are not extremely tough, but the rear mounted motor sure spares a lot of damage.I've dive bombed into the ground at 40 mph, climbed trees to get it out, and finally landed perfectly on the included landing gear, with a round of applause from onlookers!All in all, a 12 year old can master it, but make sure to have packing tape for repairs, and some allowance to pick up an extra wing at your local hobby store.A car charger for the battery wouldn't hurt!

a good plane to start
This r/c plane flew well right out of the box and took a lot of abuse by several people, ages 10 through 50.We didn't have a large flat treeless area to fly so after several crashes it required some fine tuning with tail position and stuff to keep it flying well.I would have given this plane a higher rating if it came with these instructions.Anyway, this was done by trial and error which was frustrating until we invested in a video that explained how.It made all the difference in how well the plane flew.We now have two planes, so more than one person can fly at a time.

These r/c planes encourage you to learn about clouds and weather forecasting; electronics; and different areas of the country that are good for flying and why.

I strongly recommend getting a video on how to fly and adjust your plane.I also recommend getting extra battery packs.When we had electronic problems after a particularly bad crash we were able to get replacement parts.The only problem we have had is finding replacement propellers.Go figure :)All in all, this is still a great toy and they are still flying well after two/three years. ... My son Bill loves Formual Fuelers.The problem is that once you use up the Nitrox you cannot purchase more.So be warned that the toy is apparently designed for rapid obsolecence.This should be stated very clearly on the packaging.To do otherwise is misleading in my opinion.

6yr old B-day gift perfect
Track snaps together nicely.We had trouble with one of the cars, but I ran back to the store and they exchanged it no hassles.

Need more track, but nice for my 6 yr old.He figured out the fast car and now I can't beat him!!!I had TCR as a kid and miss the ability to pass, but for a guy his age the ability to stay on the track is awesome...

Toys R Us sells the other cars too so replacements are NOT hard to find.

WOW!
This was the highlight of the Christmas gifts for the kids...it was easy to assemble and a lot of fun for all. The cars stayed on the track amazingly well and were very fast. The track is a bit small but can be added to.

Truly Great Educational Product!
We used the Seibun Hovercrafts in our school lab. (Newton's Laws of Motion, Friction, Inertia, Fan strength etc.). It is an interesting skirtless kit. It combines unique design and engineering and was a great hands-on model to use with my fellow students. (I'm the lab assistant). The Principal witnesssed the entusiasm in the learning when she visited our lab.
These kits are super cool for building interest and motivation in learning subjects otherwise challenging to teach.
We also found interesting labs online for Hovercrafts, mentionned on the instruction sheet. Made my (and the teacher's) job easy and EFFECTIVE!

I bought my son a Terrain Twister for Christmas on ToysRUs.com.On the same page they also recommended the rechargeable battery.I had no idea what battery I needed, so I clicked on the suggested battery to order it.Little did I know that it was the wrong battery!My son opened his terrain twister, we set it up to charge the battery, and soon found out it would not work.Why would ToysRUs advertise this battery along with the Terrain Twister?They gave me a refund at my local store, but now I can't find the FlexPak anywhere and am out my shipping charges.Thanks a lot ToysRUs, I'll think twice before ordering again.

Although this battery pack is listed on the page for the Tyco Terrain Twister as one of the things people buy with the toy, it is NOT the pack you need to power the Terrain Twister -- or a number of other NEW Tyco products -- which use ONLY the TMH pack.That one costs even more... Don't be disappointed like my son is.What a HASSLE.

GREAT BATTERY
The design of Tyco's battery pack and charger is very nice and simple to operate.I like the idea of having a rechargable battery for toys since it is so expensive replacing regular batteries constantly.This battery was part of my child's Christmas along with the Vertigo radio controlled car (which I HIGHLY recommend).I charged it the recommended time and itwas very easy to install into the car and off we went.It lasted as long as the standard rechargeable battery that was in my other son's remote control car (they both ran down at the exact same time).Anyhow, the kids had plenty of time to play with their cars and were ready to come in by the time the batteries ran down so I'd say I have no complaints and think that it is worth the money of buying the battery in order to get one of Tyco's SUPER cool cars!!!! ... Dodge Ram SRT-10 is the World Fastest Pickup, So is this toy
Sweet!!!! I been waiting forever for some one to come out with R/C Truck besides the Ford Lightning so I'd have something to Race my brother's R/C 1:6 Ford F-150 lightning which is really nice radio controlled vehicle & is about 20 bucks more and comes with fully functional doors(interior) & tailgate plus a alarm. Back to SRT-10 this Probly The Fastest Beginner Level R/C truck u can buy its light on frills, but its really fast & well made, only thing missing is SRT-10 exhaust pipe out the rear bumper, but this baby sure does movvveee!!! when fully charged it Spins the Rear tires going forwards or backwards & has spring loaded rear end so the truck bed actually drops when reversing. its Level 3 so its about the second fastest motor in the Toy R Us Fastlane lineup with less weight/top speed than the level 4's but its more than comptent up against any electric powered R/C truck out there especially the Ford Lighting offered at Circuit City last X-mas in the Acceleration department. its quite life like due the 1:10 scale & u know when u take it outta box its a Full Size truck. The only downsides to this truck are fact that there are no intermidate level upgrades avalible from toyrus/fastlane to make it faster for more professional hobby use to be competitive with 20mph + nitro R/C cars & trucks. Secondly, it only Comes in One Color Red. All in all for 50 bucks this is a Good Truck & Fair Representation of what makesSRT-10 one of the Fastest vehicles on street. Good Job Toy R Us!!!!

fun but lack of detail
Fast lane took no time in creating this beatiful car. the stickers on the car make it look like a 1969 boss instead of a 67' fastback. the little scoops on the rear window and the spoiler also do not belong on this car. last the rear wheel well is molded wrong and flat at the end. overall if the car was made with more car it would be bought by many mustang fans like myself.

Great starter set
My 3 year old daughter loves playing with a train set in a local bookstore, so her Aunt bought her this train set for Christmas.
Is is very cute and durable.It comes with an easy to put together wood track and it has three train cars included.She loves it, but I think we are going to purchase the expansion pack that is available, so she can make different tracks for variety.
Oh, she also got a Thomas the train engine and it does work just fine on the track and with the other train cars that came with the set.A good toy, perfect for fueling her imagination!

Honestly, this was money very, very well spent.All three of my kids enjoy playing with it from ages 1 1/2 to 11 yrs old!The cars and engine that come with it are very high quality, truly better than the brio set we already owned from the 80's.They are bigger and chunkier but have the same wheel base.The accessories are cute, too!We bought the expansion set of track pieces, also, but it really wasn't necessary.If your child wants a lot of options, buy the imaginarium deluxe set because there are wonderful peices that are not in the figure 8 set or the expansion set.This is compatible with brio trains and track pieces and a much better value. ... A good RC Truck
[...]BTW, this is not the only mistake they have made in the RC section, some toys listed as 49MHz are actually 27MHz and vice versa, but on to the review...

This truck and the Ninja Turtle 6V truck are the same thing, just the outside plastic body differs.The Ninja Turtle one is 27MHz and the Batman is 49MHz (good to know if you have 2 kids that like RC trucks like I do).

Both trucks have "wheelie" wheels on the back so the truck can do "wheelies" without flipping over (one of the best features according to my 4 year old) ...
On "L" (low) mode, both trucks are somewhat fast, handle rocks and grass well and can perform "wheelies"
On "H" (high) mode, both trucks are pretty fast, can zip around on pavement and driveway faster than my 4YO can control it, but can't do grass or rocks very well unless the battery is very fresh.

The battery charges in 4 hours and last about an hour before running out (that's actually pretty good).You can find the recommended battery online in other places ($14.99).We went to Toys R Us and bought a generic one also ($14.99) and they both seem to perform equally.

Can't rate the toy since we can't PLAY with the toy!
I bought this as a x-mas present for my son.. I was under the assumption from the description given that the battery was included. The description says "Batteries: 1 9 volt battery required. (included)". WRONG!!! It requires a 6v NiCd and charger in addition to the 9v that is NOT included. Needless to say, we have yet to play with this toy and its 4 days after x-mas. Its not the toy that deserves the 3 star rating, its Amazon and actually they deserve less for the false advertising!

Misleading information
Order this toy for my 5 year old son.....
The truck is great but the description only indicated that a 9 volt battery was needed and it was included.
The battery was not included. The truck also needs a 9.6 V Rechargeable Turbo Battery Pack and Charger which was not stated in the description and will not work.
Talk about a lousy Christmas for my boy....
Someone needs to make sure if a car or truck needs special batteries that this information is in the description.
As I stated before...the information stated that a 9 volt battery was included and no batteries are part of this package.

Ran over truck with my car
My 2 year old plays with this truck constantly. He even has to bring it to grandma's. He favorite activity is to sit in the bed of the truck and ride it like a rider. He is actually very good at this, he can control his speed with his feet. I am now ordering a second one. This is the first toy that I have ever replaced with the same toy when it broke. It was left under my SUV and I ran over it twice. The wheels were a little bent, but were straightened and the roll bar was broken, but other than that there is not a crack anywhere on the truck. Talk about tough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Best Investment!

One of the old standby's...
If you have the Thomas series wooden railway series, then by all means, be sure you get Duck.He's just one of the older trains, and is almost in each and every video.He doesn't usually have a large role, but he's a kind and good friend to all the engines.This guy gets taken to bed in our house and also, everywhere we go.It's pretty funny listening to all the role playing going on in the carseat with this guy and hey, he can even dance to the Wiggles!These trains definitely develop imagination and fine motor skills, but they also become friends.These wooden guys are VERY durable too.They don't chip like you'd think they would when dropped onto the floor.We plan on keeping our wooden train series and interconnecting them with a "real" train set when our little one gets older.Also, don't forget to check out the HO series of Thomas here on amazon.I didn't know they existed and what a neat way to introduce your little one to the fascinating world of trains.Something they can definitely grow up with and use for quite some time.Highly recommend Duck!
