3-0 out of 5 stars Not that exciting of a toy andtoo loud!
I bought this toy for my 8 month old son. I thought he would enjoy banging the hammer on the buttons. He chews on the hammer and rolls the toy around, obviously this toy does not keep his attention well. It is also very loud. It does have volume control, but it is still too loud.

3-0 out of 5 stars Just okay...
My 3 year old wanted this toy after seeing it in the store. (She liked the little mole that would pop up and say "Peek-a-Boo!") I didn't think it would hold her attention for very long, but because I also have a 5 month old that can "grow into it", I went ahead and got it. At first, I was really disappointed. It seemed that it didn't do much. Actually, though, after playing with it more with my kids, it's okay, although I definitely think there are better toys out there for your money (more "bang" for your buck, as the saying goes). My daughter likes to pull the tape measure and hear it sing the ABC song, but the lyrics to the other song just go on about what this toy can "teach". It is really quite a dumb song, in my opinion. It's to the same tune as a song on the Learning Home, only with different words. The one on the Learning Home is better (although it's not my favorite either). The music and sounds that go with the other parts of the toy are great--upbeat and fun. I like how it counts as you pound the shapes, and if you stop pounding before 10, it will play a cute, short little melody. It's nice that you don't really have to "pound" either... a gentle press of the shape is all it takes, which will be good for my little one. The slider button names the shape and it's color as you slide it below the shape, but it's pretty hard to slide. My 3 year old can do it fine, but I think even a 1 year old might find it a bit hard to do on their own. The down side to this toy is that it is very HEAVY. It'd also be nice if the tape measure played more than just two songs. I was right about it not holding my 3-year old's interest for long (2-3 minutes is all in one sitting). We'll see how it goes with my 5 month old as she gets a little older.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not that interesting
I originally had the FP Laugh and Learn Birdbath for my 8 mo old. She loved it.She loved the songs, the shapes and the birds. It broke after about 2 weeks though. So I exchanged it for this, because the price was equal in value, it was also a "laugh and learn" toy, and they didn't have the birdbath anymore.
But....
The songs on this are horrible. She isn't interested in it at all. The songs don't get her attention, the only thing that does get her attention is when it lights up. But, that's to be expected. She used to sit and play with the birdbath for about 5-10 minutes. This won't hold her attention for one minute.
I'm taking this one back too. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Melody pleasing to the ear
The toddle tunes push along is a much needed improvement from the corn popper which can give a person a headache with too much popping. The toddle tunes has two options for music. One option allows an entire melody to be played even if moved just an inch. The second option plays different notes as long as it is moving. The wheeling device is well designed with a rubberized grip around each wheel.Another nice feature of the push along is its ability to stand up straight--even in the middle of the room. Our 12 month old has been walking for 2 months but has not mastered the coordination for the toddle tunes push along. He does grip the handle and push it back and forth like a vacuum cleaner and gets a few notes. We expect that this will be a big hit with our walking boy in a few months. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Cute Toy
My 2 year old son received this toy for Christmas, and although it is not the most educational toy on the planet, he seems to like it alot.It sings, and counts, and says the letters of the alphabet. The shapes features is a bunch of lighted dots trying to form squares and circles, and doesn't do a very good job.Overall, it is a very durable toy, and fun too.And it has TWO volume levels...even at the highest volume level it doesn't annoy anyone in my family.

3-0 out of 5 stars Skip Toby and go for Kasey.
Toby is cute but I wished I would have waited a year and just went for Kasey the Kinderbot.Toby is very basic in his teaching. My 2 year old didn't learn anything new from Toby except the 3 songs.Toby only teaches numbers 1-10.When the ABC button is pressed, Toby will say a letter and display it.If you don't keep pressing the button, he says 2 more letters and then will say "bye-bye".I wish when you pressed the button that Toby would go through the whole alphabet without having to keep pushing the button over and over again. It's like that with the numbers and shapes too.My toddler's Toby happened to break something inside the head.I can hear it rattle around inside.I'm not quite sure what happened to it.Toby still moves, but he doesn't have full motion in his head anymore- just partial.I just wish I would have waited a year and went for Kasey who has so much more to offer.

4-0 out of 5 stars My 20th month old likes this one.
When I first got this for my daughter (at about 13 months old) she was too young and it didn't keep her attention. But not at 20 months old, she loves it and loves especially to sing the alphabet song and view the shapes. This is a good one for the right age! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Im 15, and this rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the coolest toy ive ever played with in my entire 15 year old life!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Too much for a 3 month old
My son was afraid of this toy at 3 months, it was too loud for him. I'd bring it out every so often to see if he was ready for it, but it always made him cry! Finally, at 8 months, he actually loves this toy.
One small problem is that he likes to put his hands on the wheels that spin/turn and it causes them to make a clicking noise and it stops them from spinning while they're moving and I dont know if that will cause it to break after a while.
I think it's just too loud with too much going on for a 3 month old.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great in the car
As an infant, my daughter hated car rides.I origially purchased this for her to play in her crib, but instead decided to hang it on the back of the seat of our car so when she was in her infant carrier she could "kick and play". It worked!!!! Car rides were not as miserable. She would kick and activate the music and balls and smile and giggle away. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A favorite!
My 10 month old has always loved this Giraffe. She likes to explore it, so it falling over is not a problem. She pokes her fingers in the large square holes on the sides, and like to push the button that plays the music. She also loves to grab the handle on top. Of course, she likes the blocks tumbling down too. Besides play a few musical notes, it doesn't do much, but she just loves it!

2-0 out of 5 stars Tumbling is right
I bought this Giraffe for my 8 month old who liked to take things out and was beginning to put things into containers.Well, the Giraffe falls down before he gets a chance to put the blocks into its mouth--someone has to sit next to him and hold the giraffe steady. However he loves playing with the blocks and throws them into a plain sand bucket.Skip the giraffe and just get the blocks.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not impressed
This toy is cute, but that's about it.I expected the blocks to actually "tumble" down the giraffe, perhaps in a zig-zag fashion. But they don't; they just "drop" straight to the bottom. There's a button at the bottom that plays a cute little tune when the block hits the bottom, but that's all this toy does. I guess I just expected more from it. We returned it. As a side note, we also got the Peek-a-Blocks Train and both my girls LOVE it! Costs a little more than the giraffe, but is worth it! ... Read more

Editorial Review

This is a happy, noisy toy that should amuse most toddlers. Everything that can be touched reacts in some way, from a trombone-playing frog to a book that sings the alphabet. Our favorite is the colored keyboard that sings each color you press. The tabletop can be placed on the floor for those still in the crawling phase, or can sit on the included legs for a sturdy surface and leaning spot for little ones who are new to walking. If there is any fault with the Learning Table, it may be that it has too many features: each element of the table reacts in two different ways, depending on whether it's in Learn Mode or Music Mode. (Modes are switched by flipping the page of the book mounted in the center of the table.) Though this means more fun stuff for kids to hear, the mode concept is not one that they can be expected to understand, and the effect of the toy's inconsistent reactions is likely to be confusion. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Good for pulling up!!!
My son has loved this toy from the day he got it. He is now 8 months old and learning to pull up and when he sees this across the room he takes off for it to pull up to and play with. He loves it!! A must have!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars omitted letters
I haven't used the spanish version of this toy...but are the omitted letters "ch" and "ll"?These letters have been officially ommitted from the Spanish alphabet within the past few years, at least in dictionaries and new textbooks.Just fyi.

5-0 out of 5 stars very cute
I bought this toy for my six week old baby. She's too little to really care about toys, but she loves to look at the colorful blinking lights and seems to enjoy the music. She lays on her tummy and spends good 10-15 minutes being entertained with this toy. I think that it's quite a miracle that anything can hold her attention that long. Pretty soon, she'll start enjoying the mirror too. I like that this toy uses normal batteries, as I found out that lots of toys use of this type use non-replacable batteries. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars This toy doesn' t work well
This toy is defective and doesn't do what it is advertised to do.The sounds play even without the animal popping up.. Music is supposed to play after each animal pops up, but most of the time it doesn't play. The cow doesn't reset without playing with the milk bottle. There are a LOT of sharp edges, and I wouldn't let my child play with it without me constantly trying to keep his hands out of the animal holes... Overall this is a very poor quality product that's getting returned.

1-0 out of 5 stars Frustrating little toy
We received this toy and immediately opened it for our daughter to play and were surprised to find that it doesn't work properly. We press the bone button and the dog pops up with the bird. We press the green button and the bird pops up with the dog. We press the cheese button and the mouse doesn't pop up at all. EVER. Pushing the animals back down, the dog pops up on his own accord without us touching anything. My daughter quickly grew bored of this toy and it's unpredictability.

1-0 out of 5 stars Be careful - little fingers will get hurt in this toy!
My son loves the Baby Einstein video tapes, so we had to show him this toy when we saw it at the store. He was delighted in playing with it for about 5-10 minutes when suddenly his little finger got stuck in one of the holes (where the characters pop up and down). He screamed and could not get his finger out.I had trouble getting his finger out also because the character was wedged against his finger. This toy is not safe.It should be redesigned. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars It makes my 4-month-old stop crying!
We got this toy as a gift. When my 4-month-old son is crying, we put him in his bouncer and move this stacker toy up and down in front of him.Moving it from upside down to rightside up creates a funny noise that he loves. He'll stop crying to look up at it.Then we shake it and he laughs. Then we hand it to him and he "plays" with it by touching the little animals that hang off the sides. He drops it after a couple of minutes but he loves it. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars LOUD and ANNOYING
This toy may be the most irritating one my 6 month old has.As others mention, it is so LOUD and the music gets extremely annoying after a while. Also, I thought mine was defective, but it seems other people have also noticed that the darn thing can't be turned off! What's the point of an "on/off" switch if both mean "on"???The toys are difficult to stack and the top toy must be on top because it's closed.

3-0 out of 5 stars Annoying and LOUD!
This toy was bought as a gift for my 6 month old son.Although he likes the animals and the lights, the music is so LOUD!And it only plays the one song over and over.It also cannot be turned off ('off' position plays a demo which is the same song and will play even if bumped accidentally and there's no way to stop it once started, just have to wait the song out). It's so loud that I accidentally pushed the button while picking up toys one day and it woke my son from his nap!

I recommend the 'Dance Baby Dance-Classical Stacker' by Fisher-Price for about the same price as this toy. It's not as loud and has more lights, my son loves this toy.

1-0 out of 5 stars Dangerous Toy
I found that this toy is very dangerous. My son fell and landed on the top of the center piece that stands straight up when the pieces are not placed around it and bloodied his mouth up a good deal.If his mouth had been open a little more the stem that stands up in the center would have jammed right into his mouth and down his throat. This toy should not be on the market in my opinion. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't fit Carseat
This toy by fisher price is just adorable unfortunately I returned it to the store because I bought it for the car seat and on the back of the package it shows a fisher price car seat which is no longer made and I have a feeling that the handle on those car seats are alot smaller so the toy would fit on an older car seat not ones currently on the market especially graco brand which is what we have for our baby. I gave it 3 stars just because it is cute and if you manage to find somewhere to hook it then you can actually use the toy. Maybe once my baby arrives I'll buy it again if she shows interest in it but since I couldn't use it on the carseat or our crib I opted to return it for now. I love fisher price items but they should have test marketed on other brands because alot of people are unhappy with this item.

4-0 out of 5 stars Another favorite in our house
This is a great toy.My baby loves to sit and coo at it.I couldn't get this to fit on our car seat (an evenflow car seat), so I attached it to the bar on our changing table.Well, she just loves to stare at it and talk to it while we change her. When she gets a little older, I will attach it to the front of her stroller, but for now it is her changing table buddy!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't fit the carseat
This goldfish toy does not fit the carseat. Not safely anyway. When I do manage to get it wrapped around the handle, it hangs down in my son's face. He does like to play with it on the floor. We don't take it with us anywhere. I don't know about other car seat toys on the market, but we are looking and we read the reviews before purchasing. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Entertained for hours!
This was by far the best gift we received (well, at least at the moment.)As soon as our daughter turned 6 weeks she started reallylooking at the mobile. We placed it above her bassinet/changing table and at 7 weeks she was just thrilled with it.You can change the images to keep baby from getting bored.I didn't believe all the hype around this kind of mobile at first, but now I do.I don't know what I'd do with out it... I sure couldn't type this review!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great, stimulating mobile
Deciding on a mobile has a lot to do with what the parents are looking for in the mobiles purpose. We looked at many mobiles trying to decide what features we wanted. After reading about the Montessori method, we decided to go with one geared to stimulate baby visually and physically. This mobile fits the bill!Baby enjoys staring at the images and I enjoy switching them out to keep her interested. It doesn't over-stimulate nor bore baby.As she gets older, I'm sure she will bat at the images.

I think most mobiles under or over stimulate. This mobile is a great tool for baby's development.Musical mobiles may be nice for some.I prefer using a CD player in the room and switching around CD's for baby's musical pleasure. We use a mobile for visual and physical stimulation.

5-0 out of 5 stars great mobile

5-0 out of 5 stars Our 4 month olds LOVEY
WE think all babies and children should have "loviys", my 20 month old twins have the "my firt puppy"s and my new 4 month old has this! He kinda picked it out, well out of all of his stuffed animals he likes this one the best. He really cant hold him, but if you hold him with him, he goes crazy, he babbles and chomps on his ears. We have dubed him "tux" because he is wearing black and white like a tuxedo (and its easy to pronounce!). He does have a little rattle in him, and my son just loves that. I even feel comfortable leaving tux in his crib, he is easily washable and we will definatly be getting more!

4-0 out of 5 stars Soft & Cuddly
This cow is the softest stuffed animal.I bought this for a friend's baby for Christmas. When I opened up the package and felt how soft and cuddly he was, I said I wanted to keep him for myself!!I think any baby or child will enjoy having this stuffed animal. There isn't anything "exciting" about the cow, he will just keep someone company and provide a good snuggle!

5-0 out of 5 stars Moo Cow is the BEST!
Our little guy is almost 11 months old and this has been his favorite snuggle and teething buddy since he was about 4 months old. We named him Moo Cow and have made up all kinds of silly songs that rhyme with MOO (can you just imagine?). Moo Cow is a must at bedtime, washes beautifully, and is by far the best. Moo Cow even rides on the back of a remote control car to the delight of my son (who of course isn't controlling the car, my husband is!)Baby also talks and signs to Moo Cow, has shredded Moo Cow's tag and one of Moo Cow's ears isn't quite the same as new. 5-0 out of 5 stars Great toys
We really like these toys and we like to take them with us when we travel. My daughter also has the Drum/ Music Set by Parents Magazine which she actually likes better. But these are great to use and encourage musical skills with your children. They are easy to listen to and are very durable.

5-0 out of 5 stars great toy!
My eight-month-old daughter really loves these instruments! We bought them when she was about four months old, but when she picked them up she'd often clunk her head with them when she tried to wave them around.I brought them back out when she was six months old and had a lot more arm control. Now she really goes wild with them, especially the bells!

5-0 out of 5 stars brings lots of smiles
My daughter plays with this toy at Grandma's house. Theses "instruments" are usually the first toys she pulls out to play with. The bright colors and different noises definitely interest her. She loves to shake them and make noise. They are great little toys to throw in the diaper bag when you're on the go! ... Read more

I got this for my 5 month old.. Its helped her reach and hold herself up while sitting.

4-0 out of 5 stars We liked it.
I think this product is pretty good.My daughter loves music and lights, so this had both. The drawback was that it doesn't work on plush carpeting.Great on hardwood and tile floors though.

5-0 out of 5 stars We love this toy!
We received the crawl & move ball for Christmas from a friend. My 6 month old son immediately took to the lights and sounds and reaches for the ball whenever he sees it.The circular motion brings it back to him so we don't have to get up & do it ourselves, letting him play by himself while we make dinner, clean house, etc.I haven't had any problems with over-sensitive buttons or with the ball making noises for no reason. It does occasionally pipe up with a "where's the cow?" kind of question to encourage baby to play, but otherwise it's quiet and "goes to sleep" after a period of rest which saves the batteries.I will be recommending this toy to all my friends! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Toy!
We received this as a gift when my son was 6 months old and at the time he loved spining the mirror and the little barrel of beads. As he got older, he started to learn how to use all the other functions on the cube.He is 10 months now and I have to admit he plays with it less frequently but every so often, he will sit there and play with it for a good 5-10 min.Overall, I think this toy was awesome!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Outdated and boring
This toy is too simplistic and archaic. It didn't keep the attention of my 6 month old for very long. We returned it for the Infantino Activity Triangle and have been having fun ever since.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy!
I think it is a great starter toy! It is safe and durable, but still is an eye catcher and educational! Impressed! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great
I gave my daughter this toy yesterday for her birthday. She's 12 months. She played with it all night long. She was so excited. I had a hard time finding it and almost gave up. I'm glad I didn't.
I give this toy two thumbs.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love These Blocks
I love this FP blocks and so does my child. I started the peek-a-block collection for my girl when she was 6 mo. At first all she did was suck on them but she has grown with them and they were her. She is now 22 mo old and she still loves playing with her blocks. She especially likes the circus train and when she learns new words and reconizes new animals, she loves looking at the different blocks all over again. She's also old enough now where she can walk with the elephant and move it.

I highly recommend these FP blocks with just 1 exception. The Noah's Ark peek-a-block set comes with a WATER BLOCK filled with water and this is a really heavy block when dropped on your toe or dropped on their toe. All I have to say on that one is, What was Fisher Price thinking, filling a block with water for children to play with?

4-0 out of 5 stars Cute toys that do more than just stack
I thought that these were great toys for both children under and above the age of one.Indestructable to abuse from kids, and they have all kinds of great accessories that extend the life of the toy.I recommend them to any parent. ... Read more
