Can I give zero stars?
Luckily (or perhaps not, after all) I purchased this at a different site for less than half what Amazon is asking.It was very fun for the first drawing.My 4-year-old and I used it to write a flashing message and picture for Daddy, who would be coming home after dark, and we placed it in the living room with the AC adapter on, flashing the message.

Well, apparently there is a 'screen saver' type of effect on it.When Daddy came home he didn't notice this thing, and when I checked, the button was ON but the unit was not functioning.But it worked fine when I turned it off, then back on.

However!The instructions say to "wipe with a clean dry cloth" and not to use water as it will damage the special finish required for the glowing-ness.We have used dry paper towels, dry tissues, and soft dry cotton towels to try and erase that first message, and it WILL NOT come off!Portions of it do come off, but only with repeated, "elbow grease" rubbing ("repeated" meaning about 2-3 minutes on the same little section of screen).The screen surface is ribbed like a fine, fine corduroy fabric, and it's impossible to get the color out of the 'dips' between the ribs.We have given up on this piece of junk and are either going to donate it or throw it away.

So, perhaps I was lucky to pay a lower price (and yes, it was a sealed item when I got it), but perhaps if I'd paid the higher price from a reputable place like Amazon, I might have been able to obtain a refund. ... Read more

Besides the Attack Ring, this Beyblade is a must have!
Originaly on the Japanese model, Thunder Dragon made sparks when it's Attack Ring made contact. Hasbro's release of Thunder Serpant had this gimmick removed due to safety reasons. This Attack Ring is almost useless for battle, but atleast it lookscool. The Weight Disk, Free Survivor, is VERY useful, as it is made to block "Upper Attack". Upper Attack is when a Beyblade with a sloped Attack Ring lifts the oppenent, e.g. Dark Effigy MS(Right Spin), Dranzer MS(Left Spin). This is a HUGE advantage to be able to defend against this, as Upper Attack is among the most deadly types of attacks in Beyblade. Just make sure and use a fairly tall Running Core to take full advantage of this. The Running core is Metal Weight Flat Core, it's almost identical to Strata Dragoon MS. The only difference is that it has a metal wieght in the center and is slightly bigger, it's generally considered better than Strata's Flat Core. Uncustomized this Beyblade is poor, but with the right costomizations it really shines. Get this if you have other HMS Blades to customize with. ... Read more

A Balanced Bey for All Types of Players
Do you like Strata Dragoon MS, but feel like it needs to be upgraded? or maybe you want to get started with HMS Beyblades? This is the Beyblade for you! It's Attack Ring, Advance Balancer, is almost the exact same as Strata Dragoon's Metal Saucer Attack Ring. The difference is, it has more balance due to a newly designed plastic part that holds tightly to the metal frame. It won't rattle and kill it's own spin like Strata Dragoon does. The Weight Disk is Circle Balance, a good choice for Combonation type Beyblades like this. The Running Core is Metal Semi-Flat Core, much like Wyvern DJ and Driger MS' Running Cores, it works fine with this Attack Ring and Weight Disk. If you want to make an improved Strata Dragoon MS, try this:
BP:Strata Dragoon Emblem/Bit Beast(just makes it look cooler)
AR: Advance Balancer(Advance Averager Attack Ring)
WD: Circle Heavy(Strata Dragoon Weight Disk)
RC: Metal Weight Flat Core(Thunder Serpant Running Core)

I suggest you get this Beyblade no matter what, it's really great and worth the money. I think it's name should be changed to Advance ABOVE AVERAGEr! :) ... Read more

Nice, but...
It is pretty good to have water in a dispenser but after about eight months it starts to leak more and more.

I was exited when I first got it and I could not stop using it but after a week it became booring.And I think that it would be better if you lower the price since its a kid toy and not many kids can afford to buy it for that much money.(...)

Absolutely Great Mod light changer
Well worth the money! Since the glass ball is not attatched to the base, needs SOME care in handling, but nothing abnormal. Very good quality glass ball, not cheap or easily breakable - can be used alone as paperweight. Use of glass rather than cheap plastic ball makes for a much better quality light show and more sophisticated ambience. Sound quality is very good when fresh batteries installed.
GREAT array of color effects, makes good nightlight, relaxer or party light. Very good in place of candles if in dorm.

POOR QUALITY!!
I purchased this for my 4 year old thinking it would be a great nightlight. Not a good idea for young children because the glass ball is not attached and is very heavy. Consequently,it will break things if thrown ( the glass ball will not break or crack very well made) anyways... the light projected is VERY dim. It did not project on the ceiling or the walls. Also the sound quality is barely audible. Only two of the six sound was average quality. I bought mine for $19.99 and it was thrown away within two weeks. I purchased the blue dog version of this interesting character from a now, unfortunately, closed depot of FAO shwartz.I INITIALLY purchased this toy for my best friend's daughter, then 1 year old.As I waited to give it to her in person (as we now live 2 states away) I, conveniently, let deedle dude find a temporary home on our own bed (much to the dismay of my spouse).

6 months, daily after work jam sessions, and many Saturday morning wake-ups later, I'm packing to visit my friend and Deedle's "new" owner and I couldn't let him go!His whimsical song and repetitive dance moves grew on me (and my husband, surprisingly).But deep down inside, I knew that 1.5 year old truly deserved and would love this gift -- and she thoroughly does!

Here I am looking to replace that void in our lives, but I truly believe that the bright colors, joyful tone and rythmic dance moves all combined into one cuddly package is enough to get any child, or adult, deedling!

ok well, i bought it, and i dunno but it got stuck ON, and wouldnt stop, so i was forced to take action, trust me 2 minutes with this thing and the song is ANNOYING, anyways i throw it out the window, it didnt break, it didnt stop! again action was need, i rasied a hammer in the air.... Fun for all ages... literally!
I'm a month shy of 20 years old and I bought this for myself. The first time I was introduced to the toy wa swhen I worked in retail and happened to stumble upon it on a day I needed some cheering up and the adorable little toy certainly helped!
