3-0 out of 5 stars Even The Webslinger Couldn't Save This Set
The idea was great.Make a collection of figures based on their popularity and the fact that they all appeared in films as of late, put'em in one box and call it the "Urban Legends" collection.Sounds perfect, right?Unfortunately, whoever designed these toys forgot that even collectors like a little quality now and then.

Here's a breakdown of each figure, including postive and negative aspects of each:

Spider-Man:Best figure of the set, probably because he has the least gadgets to fool with. The fingers are placed in the web-shooting position. This figure is very poseable and was the only figure in my set that actually fit the base that came with it.

Daredevil:Pretty good figure, but his points of articulation were very stiff. The paint job was excellent. His walking stick/weapon looks good in his belt pouch, and that's where you'll want to keep it.It's hard to get back into his belt.

Punisher:Good figure, though the right hand on my particular figure is very, very loose. So loose, in fact, that he can't hold the bazooka that comes with him.The trench coat is a nice touch, but it is cheaply made.

Elektra:Worst figure of the set.Paint job was atrocious. She actually has too many points of articulation and they are very stiff. This figure is very poorly made.

Now don't think I'm a jerk for ripping this set.The price is very good, but I'd only buy this again if I knew that the Punisher and Elektra figures were in better shape. If you are a fan of either, you may want to look for their individual figures.I purchased these figures for a collection.I have no intention of giving them to children to play with, so the durability isn't that major of an issue. However, posing the characters in a display case is problematic because I do not want to damage them any more than they were when I purchased them.

In closing, the set is a great idea, but you may want to steer clear of this one if you already have any of these figures in your collection.I do recommend it for the Spider-Man and Daredevil figures, though, since both of these are very nice figures.

5-0 out of 5 stars great value, excelent set
first off the whole marvel legends line is possibly the best toyline ever, i feel nerdish being a 16 year old with a set of superhero figures in my room but they're just plain cool. I'm gonna skip strait to what you should know- if you're buying for a kid then make sure you know electra's bust is *ahem* there, it's not as bad as the angry parents put it but it's definately PG-13 stuff, and if you're big on "No Violence" then i first ask you why are you even looking at this?, secondly, that punisher has alot of ammo in ALL his incarnations, this included. as for everything else, the figures look great, are sturdy, and have more movement than ANY figure out there, heck i can make spidy go into meditation. I heard daredevil was the worst in the Legends line but i disagree, he's not unbelievable but still good. If you're fine with Electra's "exectra's" and punisher's support of the 2nd amendment then it's a great set, with a better deal. BUY IT NOW!

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice Set
Well, I'm not too fond of the characters in the set cause I generally just collect the female action figures, but this was a nice set of figures nonetheless. Elektra's new headsculpt is pretty weird lookin, but her costume looks great in white. Spiderman is a fun figure to pose. Punisher's jacket was unneccessary and Daredevil was a little too scrawny and short in comparison to the other figures in the series. It was a great price though and they are a nice addition to the Marvel Legends collection. Oh, and the figures arrived in great condition....the poster book bent on one corner though. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars If there were a 0 stars alternative . . .
The replacement hands (no claws) are good.Other than that, this may be the worst action figure I've ever bought.Might even be the worst one I've ever seen, even in pictures. It is almost impossible to get it into a pose that doesn't look stupid. The costume is molded plastic and demands to be put in one pose to accomodate the molded wrinkles and creases.

I have it two stars for durability because I tossed it into a box.I have no way of knowing whether it would wear out.

I kept the hands.I'm wondering if some day I'll be able to stick them on a really good figure of some sort that needs hands that will open and close.

If I'd received this figure for free, I'd still have thought it was not worth the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dont want For XMas I Want It Now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So this is the story.I started being a fan of spidey when mom bought me a figure of spidey.I saw sm 2 and liked him even more. For my bday i got sm 2 the game.I was then spideyholic!!!Then i when to the library, and and checked out a hulk book.I started liking hulk. Then 2 weeks later, i saw x2 on hbo.I suddenly was wolverineholic.I even tape pencils to the back of my hands. One day went i went shopping to target i saw it.A tiger stripe super posable wolverine toy for only 6.99.I asked my mom fgor it.She said no!!I was crushed.then a week later asked her again no!!then another week no!!!Mom says shell buy it for me next week.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Figure!
This is a great action figure and it goes with the Marvel Legends perfectly! It has over twenty points of articulation! Awesome figure!

5-0 out of 5 stars Wolverine--what an original idea!
This is the BEST Wolverine figure to date.Well worth the money.ToyBiz actually went to the effort of making sure his claws are relatively straight when he comes out of the package.Amazing when you think about it.Don't think about the fact that, next to Spiderman, Wolverine is probably the most over-produced character in the Marvel Universe. And, when he is made, his claws always look like corkscrews.Or they don't look like his claws at all.Never mind the fact that he was already done in the Marvel Legends line of figures in 2 different ways.Possibly more in the works.Personally, I think ToyBiz could have put a different X-men character in this first series of figures. But, I guess they don't believe we are sick of Wolverine yet.My apologies to those who love the character.I love him, too. But, let's get something or someone new in there.Or, at least, more of the rare characters like Archangel. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Figure!
This is a great action figure and it goes with the Marvel Legends perfectly! It has over twenty points of articulation! Awesome figure!

2-0 out of 5 stars DIDN"T WE JUST SEE GAMBIT?
Marvel Legends has a Gambit figure already. And, despite its shortcomings, it was done reasonably well. Why produce him again under the X-Men Classics series (which are the same scale)??And then, accessorize him with a disk shooter??More proof that ToyBiz lacks an intelligent marketing staff. The only thing this figure has over the Marvel Legends figure is the jacket. It's molded as part of the figure and not a seperate piece of shabby clothing. It does add to the figure'sappearance and makes it look real sharp.Great for an X-Men fan or collector...or someone who just can't get enough of Gambit.

5-0 out of 5 stars Here's the full house!
Toy Biz has outdone themeselves this time with the new wave of X-Men Classics actions figures.I absolutely love how articulate and detailed each one of theme is.
This is a great Gambit and best of all he features his lesser know X-treme X-Men duds.My only complaint with the toy is that Remy here comes with a DISK SHOOTER! Hey I know he can't use his powers right now in the comics, but this is a bit wrong. I would like it if Gambit would come with his trademark staff and cards, but hey you can always steal them away from the Marvel Legends Gambit, although you may need to cut the staff down to size.
I believe anyone who is a fan of the X-Men will enjoy adding this Gambit action figure to their collection. As a Marvel Fan it earned five stars with me! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Save $ and your sanity!
The joy of this toy last as long as it is in the box. After that, it's a nightmare. The wings constantly fall off, the jet engine sound does not have a shut off - and it is very loud, and is prone to start with the slightest provocation (like walking by the toy in the middle of the night when you go to check on your kid) and continue sounding off until it decides to stop! My little X-Man fanatic put this on the bottom of his toy box after a week.

1-0 out of 5 stars There's a reason this one is on clearance
My son loves Wolverine and when he saw this toy, he had to have it.He was spending a gift certificate he got for his birthday, so I let him choose.Boy, did I regret it!The wings were difficult to get on and unbelievably, once I managed to get them on, they fell off almost immediately once he started playing with it.I ended up gluing them on, but that didn't last either. The jet sounds are also annoyingly loud.He got very frustrated after a few days with this toy and I threw it out after a few months. Believe me, he hasn't missed it!

2-0 out of 5 stars The headache I never seen coming
First, the wings are not very easy to attach-there is a lot of pulling and pushing to get them on.Once we managed to put them on they did not stay attached for play. These wings fell off so much we had to detached them so our son could play. This is a big disappointment for a 4-year old child, which is the recommended age.If buying for play beware but if buying as a collectors item, then this is a great gift. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars MEOW!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU EXTINGTION IS NOW MUTANT!
I got this toy from my aunt and it is great. But beware the claws come off easily thats the same thing with mine now I have to pretend they are there. His right leg is a little loose so it is hard to get used to him. he dos not look entirely like hugh jackman but a cross between van helsing so a little clunky a nice figure but not better than sauron.

4-0 out of 5 stars THE GREAT TOY
This toy is the best. My nephew luvs him to death. He has like four of him because he luvs him soooo much.i wish i could tell u more about my nephew and i but i cant this review is on our favorite toy. Well i got to go now. We will try to keep in writing..bye now

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice looking toy
At first I didn't think this toy looked as good as the Wolverine toy from the original X-Men movie, but when I juxtaposed the two, I realized this toy's remarkable semblance of Hugh Jackman. It is also very poseable- "super poseable" even- allowing for a good looking display toy.The accessory is a bit pointless because they removed the Danger Room scene from X2, and it doesn't do anything except rotate Wolverine. The toy is good for its purpose, though.Pick it up if you're after X-Men toys. ... I personaly am a big Nightcrawler fan and I rate hard on him.In this case it is great. It looks exactly like it ddid in the movies making it one of the best looking figures I have ever seen comparing it to the actor Alan Cumming in the movie.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Nice Figure
I'm an adult, and yes, I bought this figure for myself because I loved the character in the X-Men 2 movie.I must say, it's very nice and reasonably priced.Fully poseable, good clothing including a fabric-like vinyl jacket, and best of all, the figure is sculptured to look very much like Alan Cumming, the actor who played Nightcrawler in the movie. If they released figures of this quality of the main actors in the movie I'd be more than happy to buy them all.

5-0 out of 5 stars Its the COOLEST
Fully detailed, fully posable with the exception of the tail.

2-0 out of 5 stars Quite possibly they worst action figure ever.
This action figure is in fact a repaint of an earlier Sabretooth figure. The mold used to create this was built off of a sculpt of the X-men villian Sabretooth. The metal arm bands and bracelets are intended to be restraints, and the rips to the shirt are supposed to indicate that Wolverine clawed him acrossed the chest. The figure does not have Wolverine's signiture claws, or hairstyle, the figure doesn't even show Wolverine's stature or build properly. The costume the figure is wearing isn't even a very good approximation of Wolverine's costume. The figure looks like it belongs on a 1980's glam rock poster. Do not buy this for a collector, a comic book fan, or even an observant child. This is not by any measure a good toy. There are far better toys out there for any purpose you might purchase this toy for. I cannot reccomend more highly against this poor product.

5-0 out of 5 stars X-treme Fun
I've bought quite a few action figures through the years.I have also become very picky as of late on which ones that I buy. When I purchased Nightcrawler, I based the purchase on how lifelike and articulate the toy was.

Nightcrawler is easily the best action figure replica of a movie character that I own.The figure is very articulate and looks almost exactly like Alan Cummings' portrayal in the movie.Even his jacket is speckled by drops of paint as in the movie.

The church window is a little flimsy, but everything is seems to hold together rather well with this figure. He is definitely not a toy to get too rough with, due to so many articulation points.

If there are any real complaints, the only one I have is that Nightcrawler cannot squat down into a perching position.Other than that, this is a fun character to have.He stands nicely on a desk or overlooking a book case.

A very fun figure to own.

5-0 out of 5 stars What a Brilliant Action Figure!
I'm very picky when it comes to buying action figures.I'm not one of those people who buy toys and box them away in hopes of cashing them in at a later date.I buy toys to display, and Nightcrawler is one of the best I've ever owned.

"Super-Poseable" doesn't even begin to explain this figure. He looks almost exactly like the character from the movie.Even his jacket has the wet-look effect from the movie. The face and body also resemble the character from the movie.

The church loft is a nice touch, although it doesn't hold up very well.I prefer to have Nightcrawler perched on my desk or monitor at work to protect this good Catholic boy from the evils of this world.

As another reviewer pointed out, the figure can be posed in just about anyway except for a crouching position, which is a minor flaw.

Overall, this is the best movie-adapted action figure I've seen in awhile.Buy it, gather all of your twenty to thirtysomething friends who are just as childish as you and send the kids to bed so that you can re-enact your favorite parts of the movie.....You know you do.

5-0 out of 5 stars A good toy that you should buy
I gave this action figure 5 stars for fun because he looks just like the one in the movie, he has a bendy tail, and is practically fully poseable. 3 stars for durability because his arm came off, and when I fixed it (easy as 123,or pie, whatever you prefer)it NEVER, EVER, EVER(!) came off again!!!Ha! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Good pack
Rouge- Not for me. Good only for a collection. Can't stand right.

Gambit- O.K., not real good but not bad either. Very posable.

Wolverine-Preety good. His claws tend to bend sometimes.

Beast- Great, absolutley great. Won't fall down unless you want him to. He looks great. One of the 2 best in the pack.

Magneto- The other best in the pack. His suit is awesome. Good posability, but not so much where he will fall over, just like Beast.

4-0 out of 5 stars X-Quisite Set For "Legends" Beginners Like Myself
I've bought quite a few action figures in my day, but this is only the second Marvel Legends set that I've purchased. The first set was the "Urban Legends" set that featured Daredevil, Punisher, Spidey, and Elektra. That set was okay, but this X-Men Legends pack is heads and tails above it.First of all, it combines many of my favorite mutants in one set at a low price.I've got Nightcrawler from "X-2" and now I need to get my hands on a good Cyclops figure.Anyway, this set is really nice.

Now, here's a breakdown of the good and bad of each figure:

Beast-The best figure in the set.The lab coat and glasses are a nice touch, but what I really like is how easy it is to pose the big guy.You even have the option of opening or closing his mouth.Nothing too wrong with this figure.

Gambit-Almost as good as Beast. His trenchcoat is really nice, and his bo and charged playing cards are a plus. The only bad thing about this figure is that Gambit doesn't hold his cards very well.

Magneto and Wolverine-I lumped these two together because both of them are pretty nice figures.I especially love Magneto's cape.Wolverine's claws were a little bent when I took him out of the box, but with a little work they should be okay. Both of these figures are very poseable, and Wolverine strikes a nice pose on his display stand. I prefer displaying Magneto holding his helmet instead of him wearing it, because the helmet doesn't fit him quite right on the figure I received. It keeps popping up and sits at an odd angle on his head.

Rogue-Unfortunately, the worst figure in the bunch. As with Elektra in the "Urban Legends" pack, she just has too many points of articulation.I'd rather a well-crafted figure with less moving parts than a flimsy one with too many.Overall, the figure isn't too terrible, but her wrists and forearms are weak and she isn't that easy to pose. She's still worth buying the set, however.

The poster book is a nice touch, and the display stands actually fit the characters, unlike the ones in the "Urban Legends" pack.
This set is a really good buy at a budget price. It's great for beginners and folks who want to collect as many of their heroes as possible for as little cash as possible.

4-0 out of 5 stars Legends worth having in your collection
Marvel Legends X-men legends box set is well worth the price. If you haven't picked this set up you really should. These modified reissues are almost new figures altogether.
Gambit - the pleather coat is great and captures the true "spirit" of the character. I'm glad I didn't buy the single carded version. This one is WAY better.
Beast - The accessories are a keeper here. The glasses and lab coat allow a great figure to become even that much better.
Magneto - The new head sculpt with the helmet on looks like it came right out of a Jim Lee Comic. A definite improvement over the single card release that was perfect.
Rogue - She's the exclusive. While I'm not too keen on the head sculpt, (She looks a tad rough. I prefer softer feminine facial features on my female figures like Bbi's Cy-Girls) It's great to have another Female Legends figure. She looks like she stepped off a comic page.
Wolverine - The disappointment of the box set. He's too tall, his head comes off and he looks like he's screaming. If you really need an unmasked Wolverine, get the chase.
