3-0 out of 5 stars Princess ofthe Danish Court or Cinderella?
I found this particular princess looked similar to the Disney version of Cinderella. I do not know if that is either good or bad. I just think that Mattel could have been more creative and designed a doll that doesn't look like Cinderella. She is pretty and worth the money if you like the doll.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not-quite-fabulous
I've loved Barbies since they first came out, and I still believe dolls are to be PLAYED with, which is why I don't completely love this doll. She has awful hair, and what would it have cost them to throw a few snaps or some velcro on the back of her dress?

On the other hand, the dress IS gorgeous, and the shoes are fabulous. And I love her grave and dignified expression.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Beautiful,Historical....
...And cheap! And I don't mean $$$ cheap. Unlike the other 'European' looking Dolls of the World that I own, this one is a little chinsy and it gets messed up. For example, the plastic rod in the bodice kept popping out and I didnt touch it, her hair uncurled and her hem between the blue and the goldish petticoat unraveled. I was suprised that all happened and I had to purchase a new one because my others D.O.T.W arent like that. But it is really pretty and fun to play with!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Star Wars Fun!!!!!!
My 3 year old loves this, he also has the millenium falcon, which he loves even more! They are more durable then you might expect, yes he does taske them apart, but they don't break and are able to be put back together!

4-0 out of 5 stars this toy is fun
i liked this toy because it has luke skywalker.i got it when i was 5.this toy makes lots of sounds from star wars.it can even mov e its laser guns.it comes with r2d2 and luke skywalker.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very nice toy for little hands
After getting the Millenium Falcon for her 8 yr old cousin, I saw that this was the favorite toy among the kids at the party. The one I got had 4 feet to the Falcon (Iguess a spare) and putting on all the stickers was definetly an adult job. This is an absolutely great gift for kids (boys or girls).Very durable and oh so cute.

I wish Hasbro would put out a Galactic Heroes Speeder Bike and Jungle Leia with Ewok (that would be soooo cute and to have a girl with a vehicle) and they also need a TIE Fighter with a Darth Vader!I am looking for an excuse to get the Falxon and X-Wing for my daughter, because mommy already has a big falcon and can't justify getting another!

My 4 yr old daughter loves Queen Amidala and kept asking for another one (I found 2 "skipper" sized golls on clearance). She LOVES Princess Leia and her husband Han Solo. She carries then everywhere and has them to parties with the Happy Family Barbie todlers. Now if I can oly find the Padme & Anakin set, she will be in heaven!I hope they come out with more girl jedi's in their two packs.Even though mommy loves Darth Vader, she can't get into the concept of liking a scary bad guy.I guess I'll keep those for when she's older.

With most action figures, not much in the way of educational value but she role plays with these two all the time. A+ to Hasbro and Star Wars for coming out with cute kid friendly action figures! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars I can't believe i'm going to write this...
OK, I'm 18 years old and i'm obsessed with pokemon, have been ever since I was 11. but after a long wait I finally got my hands on firered and i'm afraid to say I was disappointed, not because it was poor quality, because it was excellent, but because it lacked a challenge, everything was the same as the original but it had just been revamped, don't get me wrong I love it and everything but I want something new. if you haven't played the original then definitely buy this game but otherwise don't expect something new

5-0 out of 5 stars freakin fun!
i have so much fun with these games, it's like the #1 thing to play during travel, or just when you have a boring time at the airport. the funniest thing i did was name my pokemon and rival funny names. my rival's name is mud. while my pokemon have names like dumpface. this game will blow you away with the new islands
and hidden pokemon from new pokemon games.

5-0 out of 5 stars great game!

Editorial Review

Babies will get a real physical and mental workout with this play gym. It's pretty much like all of the other models out there, but its stand-out is its versatility and diversity of features for infants at all stages. A kicking gym for infants is made of attractive objects than spin, light up, and make sounds with each tiny foot-fall. A Ferris wheel loaded with colorful balls spins overhead to create additional interest. Babies who can sit up can spin the Ferris wheel themselves, and watch it release the five balls down a tunneled ramp and out the side of the gym. This in turn sets off music and lights as the balls zip past noisy, spinning obstacles. It's not just fun and games, though: the activities are designed to develop motor skills, cognitive learning, and stimulation of the senses.Diane Beall ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Safty problem
This toy looked so great in the store, but we were not happy once we got it home.We read the box and it was misleading. The kick pad is just a plastic plate with a sticker on it.You can hit this toy anyplace and it will start to go.We had to hit it very hard to make it work at all and a young baby would more likely push it away than start it.The sounds are not the most plesent it's like one of those toys grandparents would buy to get back at their kids.It show the toys moving but it's not easy enough for a child to do even an older one and the balls that come off to roll down the ramp we could barly get off.I would expect there to be a nob or button to push to make them come off and roll down. This toy realy only does one thing the rest it like getting plastic balls. My son was 2 months old when we got it a little young for him then and he hated it.He would rather be on the floor with out a toy than that one, maybe the sounds :).he is now almost 4 months old and he plays with it for a very long time, I was surprised.
HOWEVER PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE TOY MAY NOT BE SAFE.THE BAR THAT YOU CAN LOWER FOR AN OLDER CHILD TO PLAY SITTING UP MOVES,IT WOULD BE VERY EASY FOR A CHILD TO GET THEIR FINGERS SMASHED.THE BOTTONS YOU USE TO LOWER THE BAR STICK OUT AND THERE IS A GAP BETWEEN IT AND THE BLUE BOTTOM WHEN THE RED BAR IS UP.IT CAN VERY EASILY ROCK FORWARD AND CATCH EVEN MY FINGER, MY SON CAN'T QUITE REACH IT BUT IT WON'T BE LONG AND AT SOME POINT HE COULD ROLL OVER TO IT.I found that putting a boppy pillow under him and the toy up to a wall keeps him from pushing away from the toy and his hands away from the bottons works for now.I would be watching while your child plays with this one.

1-0 out of 5 stars skip it
We received this item as a gift, fortunately there was a gift receipt with it. The music, even on its lowest setting, is too loud, our baby seemed put off by it. Also, the hanging parts were too high for him to kick. The flashing lights didn't seem to interest him either. He lost interest in about 5 minutes and looked a bit irritated. Stick to a product like the Baby Einstein Play Gym, we have that and he's wild about it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful toy for my3 month old
We did find that the toy was a little high for a baby to play with so we improvised and sat him in his bouncy chair to play with it.He is so happy when he sits in his chair and playsthat he will sit there for an hour or two if we let him.He also likes to lay on his back on the floor and play with it but he likes sitting in the chair much better. So I would recommend this product to anyone. ... It's not a Razor, but it's racy enough for a beginner. A hot pink stand-out in any public park, this manual scooter looks and rides swell, then folds up to fit into an 8-inch wide space. Unfolded and ready to go, its 31 inches high from the bottom of its clear, hard rubber wheels to the top of its easy-grip, collapsible, purple handlebars. The footboard is 20-inch long, too small for teenaged feet. All parents have to do is keep a good look out for beginner spills, or adjust the height and angle of the steering column for a different ride. Kids can take it from there. In case your kid likes to burn rubber, however, take time to teach her how to use the friction footbrake, located at the rear of the aluminum board. --Diane Beall ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome fun!
This was a great buy. My girls are 4 and 7 and they love this toy! It packs easy for travel. Scooters fold and unfold easily in a minute! Attractive color. Durable build. Even the adults had to try out the new toys--nothing broke like I feared! Nothing marred or dented! Helmets and elbow/knee pads are recommended. My 4 needed them for sure! Rolls easily so be careful of unskilled kids on sloping pavements. Perfect Christmas gifts this year!

5-0 out of 5 stars a little girls dream
"Thank you Mommy, I love my scooter" is what I hear multiple times a day.She loves the Barbie colors and design and has learned quickly how to use it.She just pushes with one foot and rides around with such a smile. It folds up easily for storage or travel.Couldn't imagine another scooter making her happier. She completes the look with her Barbie helmet and her Barbie protective pads.

5-0 out of 5 stars lots of fun
I was surprised to read the review about the girl who was standing still on the scooter and then spent three days in the hospital. Regardless of that my daughter has been riding scooters since she was three years old and of course you have to practice and have adult supervision but we've NEVER had a problem with broken bones. Not to say they don't happen. We love this scooter and have more then gotten our money out of it. She is six now and loving riding this scooter each day. ... Read more

If you cross a red car with a plastic boat and combine the result withone of those big Victorian baby carriages, you get this entirely novel mode oftot transportation. This little car--32 inches long by 18 inches wide, andriding on 7-inch plastic wheels--has an integral plastic seat 9 inches off theground and can be powered by two little feet through the hole in the floor.Alternatively, raise the bandshell-style yellow nylon hood and push yourpreschooler around using the 38-inch-high metal handle that sticks up frombehind. 4-0 out of 5 stars Love this car
We got this car for our 14 month daughter for Christmas after researching the market to see what all is out there. We liked this one the best because we could push her around for walks and take the bottom out and let her push herself around. The buttons are fun for her to push, but her favorite is the conertable canopy she pulls it up and down and plays peek-a-boo with us.It was orginally going to be used for outside, but was compact enough to use inside during the cold months. She loves this car!She is now 18 months old and can get in and out of it by herself to let us know that she is ready to "drive the car".I like walking outside with her with this verses her wagon because you push instead of pull, so she is in front of me where I can watch her.

5-0 out of 5 stars Toot, Toot!
My 21 month old son loves this car. He received it as a Christmas gift and at first I wasn't too thrilledbecause we have a wagon we really enjoyed, and I figured that he would quickly lose interest in the car and it would end up ignored and taking up precious space. However - much as I enjoy our wagon - this has several advantages. The car is both sturdy and easy to handle. It manuevers around corners with great ease. In fact on inclimate days - we have been known to use it in the house w/out fear of bumping into walls because it turns so easily. I am also happy that my little one is seated in fron of me - unlike the wagon. This makes it much easier to see if he has tossed a sippy cup, pacifier, is about to lose his hat, or is attempting to stand up. These things are not always readily apparent when we use the wagon and he's being pulled behind me. Finally, our son loves pretending to drive. He turnes the steering wheel, honks the horn, and waves at all passers by!

First off it was sooo hard to put together and then it was cracked on the bottom so i had to send it bac and when i got the new one together it was not at all what i expectited!! The radio is horrible! - the handle that is suppose to let me push her stinks cause the front wheels go whereever they want to not where i want - and the same when she is trying to push it with her feet while she is in it. This colorful kite is perfect for spontaneous outings or long-distance travel. Since there are nosticks to break or bend out of shape, it is very low maintenance. When it is soaring in the atmosphere, itfans out into a substantial 19 by 14 inches, but it collapses into a tiny carrying case that measures 8 by 5inches. Sailing in the sky, this pocket kite looks just like a paraglider on a wing of hot violet, tangerine, turquoise, jade, scarlet, and lemon yellow. It's best when used in a recommended wind of 8 to 25 mph (13to 40 km/h). The kite comes with a generous rainbow tail and 30 pounds of test feed line on a spool; it's anideal kite for bikers, boaters, hikers, or families heading for a beach vacation. --Gail Hudson ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Kite - Easy to Fly
I have purchased about 15 kites in the last two years, looking for one that was easy to put together and easy to fly. This one doesn't even NEED to be put together, so 5 stars for that, and it flies like a dream.

Even on a questionably windy day, this kit just soared and was incredibly stable. My only recommendation is that you use a Line on Winder (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000060NQN/) or similar line holder, because there is so much pull that using the regular spool it came with would have taken forever.

5-0 out of 5 stars Light and easy!
At the park, the kite did not fly well with little wind. At the beach, it went up fast and stayed up for a long time! My kids loved it, and so did their daddy. It folded easily into the drawstring bag. Very colorful, you see it for far away!

5-0 out of 5 stars My 2yr old had the highest kite in Maine
We just returned from a family trip to Maine. As you can imagine, there were MANY kites on the beach. I bought this one after reading the reviews - hoping my 2yr and 4yr olds would be able to experience the thrill of flying a kite. Boy did it deliver! The kite went right up, stayed up, and flew higher than any other kite on the beach. I'll never forget the giggles of pride and accomplishment that came from my two year old. Priceless. I would buy this kite for any age child or adult. We had many congratulate us and ask us where they could find this kite. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My Favorite game is Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy
I love this game because I a huge fan of Star Wars and I like this game because it is so fun to play by myself and I like the sound effects and the graphics and the lightsabers too. I will recomend this game for any hard core Star Wars fan!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Better than Outcast, not as good asJedi Knight
What I liked about this game was the speed and 3rd person view controls (for the most part). The Xbox controller handled things pretty well under the default settings. My biggest problems with it was ducking (plunging the right stick) and the limited space available for Jedi force powers. Four assignable buttons were not really enough for all the available forces. I was always short one force power and reassigning forces in the middle of a fight was out of the question. Effects in 1st person view are lacking (not just in the resolution dept.) when compared with the PC version. For example weapons animation was nada. The story was OK. It wasn't ground breaking or anything, but it was interesting enough. My biggest complaint here was Jaden's (your character) speed of advancement. It made Kyle look like a slow learner.
Every other incarnation of the Jedi Knight series started you with conventional weapons and slowly devoloped the light sabre skills. Yes, you could use the light sabre early on in them as well, but your character (Kyle) was downright inept at it. That system forced you to get comfortable with all the conventional weapons first and then eventually had you convert over to Jedi fighting. Thats what helped make Jedi Knight so good. In this game you start off by knowing the most powerful forces (sabre throw and sabre defence) and can use them straight away. Because of this using conventional weapons in Jedi Academy became almost an afterthought really early on (eg. oh there's an enemy way off in the distance....I think i'll sniper that one). An oppprtunity to go into more training scenarios was also missed. One introductory level goes into basic training and that is it. Considering all of the acrobatics in this one I would of welcomed more than just,"Oh, you're level 3 now, move on to the next set of missions and familierize yourself as you go".

Jedi academy is a pretty good take on Dark Forces but I have played much better. Also, eventhough the Xbox release is quite good I think it would be better played on a decent PC. Although, its possible that a keyboard/mouse combo would not stack up to the contoller S specifically when in Lightsaber combat. There will be pros and cons to both versions I guess. ... Read more

Young children will get the hang of hanging with this cute swing from Little Tikes. Its blue plastic body sports sturdy yellow shoulder straps and a red T-bar to keep babies and toddlers safe; the T-bar can be removed for older kids. 2-0 out of 5 stars Poor strap design
We purchased this swing 4 years ago.The strap design makes it extremely difficult to get children in and out quickly. After four years the straps are completely gone.My two boys (5 and 3) enjoy it now with the middle harnass tucked under; however, I am now shopping for a new swing to use with my 1-year-old.This swing is great for the older children, but I would not recommend it for small children who need to be strapped in simply because of how difficult the straps are to undo.

Like other reviewers, I purchased this swing because of the harness and the fact that it looked easy to get my child in and out. But my one year old slouches down in it a lot. It looks so uncomfortable. I just think it needs a couple design tweaks. I will probably return it for another swing.

Editorial Review

Less a high chair than a full-service child feeding network, the Linkadoos Healthy Care Deluxe provides every possible option you can think of along with a few you probably haven't. Operating under the absolutely correct assertion that it's hard to find time during the day to clean off the eating surface, three different detachable food trays are included, one for each meal. There are toy pouches on either side of the seat, a towel bar on the back, and a baby food jar rack for extra convenience. Seven height adjustments mean that the seat can be used for just about any table and that the tray can be removed entirely in order for this to become a toddler chair. A sunny blue pattern makes the chair as bright and happy as kids are bound to be while sitting in it. Are all these features absolutely essential to a high chair? Not really. 5-0 out of 5 stars We like it.
I registered for this chair.Unlike most people who reviewed this one I did like the pattern.I never expected it to "go" with my kitchen decor, I like that it stands out and is not boring. Not into pastels personally.
It serves it's purpose.I like that there are 3 trays and I do change them and stick them in the dishwasher but only because I can and not because it's necessary.I simple wipe-down would be sufficient. My son is 8.5 and we've been using the high chair since he's about 6 months.I don't have a major problem cleaning it but I don't let him play with his food so maybe that's why.You can read about the pros of the chair so I'll just list what I found to be a negative:

·The basket and bottle holder are not functional. They come off VERY easily, hard to reattach and make the chair wider than it is.I don't use them.
·I would have liked if the footrest was adjustable.

Other than these small issues this is a good, solid product.

2-0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money
We registered for this chair and totally regret it now. Our son is 9 months old and we have been using it for 5 months now. First, it takes up a ton of space. We have a fairly large kitchen and the legs are just spread out so far, we're constantly tripping over it! Also the colors are a bit garish. I can't imagine it working well with anyone's kitchen decor. Now, I realize my son is a big baby, but he hardly fits in the chair anymore! His bottom is squeezed in there. I ended up taking the cushion off to give him some more room (plus, it is just downright ugly!) The trays barely fit in our dishwasher. We ended up removing the tray altogether, sliding the seat down to one of the lowest heights, and scooting the highchair right up to the table. It isn't ideal, but it works and I wasn't about to go out and buy another high chair. So, my advice is to get one of those little reclining feeding seats that strap onto one of your regular chairs. My friend has one of those and I wish we would have purchased one of those instead. This highchair gets the job done, but is a pain and totally not worth the money!

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice chair, but...
The chair seems to be comfortable (I haven't sat in it, but it's padded well) and it does roll which helps with mobility. The basket and the cup holders on the side fall of at the drop of a hat and the wheels seem to lock for no reason at all.The heigth adjustment is nice.It is a very large chair, so don't buy it if you are limited for space. It does fold up slightly, but there is no locking in a folding position. Therefore, it must sit precariously in the folded position as any movement will cause it to unfold or fall over.I cannot say that I would purchase it again, although it does have positive aspects. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware
Battery is way overpriced. Contact Battery Store near you! I did and found this same exact battery type(2-6volt Batteries) for much less. While there they told me I could use a low amp 12v Deep Cycle battery instead. It did take some time wiring (FUSED LINK IS A MUST) but is well worth it. Lasts all day and you can charge it at a 2 amp "trickle charge" with a "amp selectable" car battery charger. All told it cost me less than $60 for everything. It now longer just "Takes Up Space".

1-0 out of 5 stars Battery stinks!
Our battery quit recharging after about a year.It is very dissappointing to charge a battery for hours and then have to tell your little one that it didn't work.It has been difficult to find another battery.I thought the Fisher price 12-volt would work but it did not connect. Apparently, you have to buy this brand, which, by-the-way, cost about a third of the cost of our tractor! What can you do?

5-0 out of 5 stars You MUST follow the directions to the T!
We have this battery and it works great. We were very skeptical because of all the bad reviews. However, if you follow the instructions to the T it works great. The initial charge MUST be 18 hours. We did ours 24.You CANNOT run this battery completely dead.Once you see the toy start to lose it's speed where first is really doggy, then you must take the battery out and charge it.Again, it must be charged the entire cycle of 18 hours. We have been following these instructions (which are the manufacturers) and it works great. My son can get about 3 hours if running it nonstop.Which he has done a few times.Don't try to quick charge this because it is not made to do that. Also, you must charge it once every month when it is not being used (i.e, winter months).Again, the instructions per the manufacturer. ... Editorial Review

Dora the Explorer, "Nick Jr.'s" doe-eyed, Mexican sojourner, converses in Spanish and English as a doll as naturally as a cartoon. From simple, one-word translations to the "Happy Song," Dora speaks and sings using over 30, clearly pronounced, easy-to-learn words. She interacts with four included friends--a star, baby bird, butterfly and frog--who respond with movement, light and sound (via microchips) when placed in her right hand. Dora's body is designed to sit rather than stand (she has a very flat bum and solid posture), so she's actually built to be conversational. Just position her on the edge of a chair and the fun begins. If kids still need something to coddle, Dora has pliable extremities, and her pretty, brown hair can be combed. Her clothes, however, are not removable. Required: 4 "AA" batteries.--Diane Beall ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed!!!!
Half the time Dora doesn't even know what little friend she's holding ,that is if my daughter can find them!!! Most of the time Dora repeats her words over and over and over again like a broken record!! She is a huge Dora fan but has lost all interest in this toy. Wish I could get my money back.

4-0 out of 5 stars For Dora Fans
I bought this for my girlfriend's 3 year old and she absolutely loves it. She takes it with her to school every day. She already learned the little song that Dora sings and knows how to switch Dora's friends on the palm of her hand, herself. It's a good idea to keep Dora's friends always in your sight because once lost the doll will loose some of it's coolness. But I'm happy that I could make a 3 year old jump for joy. Great gift idea for a little Dora fan.

1-0 out of 5 stars This toy is a waste of money....do not buy it!
After opening this toy that Santa brought for my 3 year old (no small feat with the master degree holding packaging engineers securing each and every extremity and accessory piece with a wire), and playing with it for a few minutes, I immediately started to wonder why I couldn't get the toy to say the 30 phrases the box promised. My husband suggested that maybe there is a Spanish mode, but there is no "Spanish" button to be found.Additionally, I too thought for the price paid, the manufacturer could have included Dora's backpack to keep her "friends" in.
As another reviewer stated, I can only get the doll to say 8 phrases unless hola and adios count each as 1, then we're up to 10.
Furthermore, the weight of this doll, if launched, will surely break a window, dent a wood floor or cause a concussion in an innocent sibling standing by.
It should go without saying that this is going back as it doesn't do what is promised on the package. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars FU-U-UN!!!!!
This prehistoric Lego set is the best I've built. My 5 year-old brother and I make up adventurous games with this spectacular, amazing Lego set. You can make 10 whole prehistoric creatures in this set including a T-Rex, Triceritops, Alligator, Dragonfly, and more. There were no probloms buiding it. Buy this set and you'll be entertained for hours at a time.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome!
I've just purchased this item for my 6 years old kid and he can't take his hands out of it!
The Creatures looks so realistic thus there is nothing but to say: AWESOME!
Go now and buy it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Set!Great Models!
My son just turned 6 and has been slowly warming up to the joys of LEGOs.I bought him this set because he needs step-by-step directions to build things...he finds it hard to create things on his own.The directions were mostly easy for him to follow once I taught him to look for the visual "clues" in each step.He loved the different dinosaur models. We haven't had any problems with them standing...they look fantastic!I'm just so happy that he's FINALLY enjoying LEGOs!I was starting to wonder what was "wrong" with him!!!I learned he needs instructions with steps, and this was perfect for him.

Now my 4 year old daughter can create things on her own, and with this set she looked at the pictures and then designed her own models. So it works for either type of kid.Great set.I plan on getting the other sets similar to this one.To the fine folks at LEGO, I thank you! ... Read more

Editorial Review

The pyramid-shaped Grip and Grab Rattle is made of sturdy, safety-tested plastic tubes in bright colors that are connected by clear plastic spheres. Each sphere contains a red bead, smaller beads move freely through the tubes when the rattle is shaken. So what's the big deal? You'll have to ask a baby. For some reason, they love this thing--won't put it down. They'll go to sleep to the sound of it being gently shaken in front of them, or will miraculously be distracted from the car-seat fussies. (Mini van dealers should include the Grip and Grab as a standard feature).

This Lamaze rattle also provides learning opportunities for babies, almost from birth. The tubes are about the diameter of an adult finger--perfect for grabbing with tiny hands, and later, for chomping with tiny gums and teeth. Early lessons in cause and effect and hand- eye coordination are taught when baby moves and the rattle shakes. Included in the packaging is a booklet about infant development and creative ideas on how to use the toy, as well as a U.S. lifetime warranty. Winner of several national awards, including a National Parenting Center Seal of Approval and a National Parenting Publications Honors Award. --Katherine Ferguson ... Read more

what stimulation this rattle offers. our munchkin loves shaking it and watching all of the colored balls move from one end to the other. we take it everywhere, great rattle!

5-0 out of 5 stars Just Amazing
I have 2 daughters. One 3 and the other 5 months and both of them were and are captivated by this contraption. The 5 month old loves the sound the beads make and can literally watch them for an hour. I highly reccomend this toy to any first time mother or expecting mom. Put it on your List!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars It's all about the noise!
Who cares if this toy encourages visual development or independent play? As far as my baby is concerned this toy Makes Noise. Lots of it. In fact, I think that if she'd learned the war-cry of the Rohirrim, she'd be doing that to accompany the violent shaking she gives the rattle. Raaaaarhhhhh. It's a bit like a one-six-month-old Maurauding Horde and has been for weeks. This rattle is the business. And why? Because It's Louder than all the other (wussy) rattles. Raaaarhhhh! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Bringing out the JEDI in you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this lightsaber!!!!!!!!!! I bought this one, a blue one, a purple one, and a green one. I love all of them. I love getting the green and blue one and acting like general grieviuos. I love this one because it really makes you feel like a sith. I love to put on my scary looking halloween costume and grab this lightsaber and get in touch with my inner sith. lol. This one has my favorite handle. I love the color of the handle, and the gripping part is a bit bigger than the others. The only problem is that the belt clip(thing that lets you put in on your belt) is a little smaller than the other ones i got. I love to put them all around my waste and become the ultimate jedi master. If only I had 2 more arms i could use all 4 of them like general grievious can. These are better than the electronic one i have because they aren't as big and are more durable. They also retract fully which i love. And they don't just slide out like the electronic ones either. You press down on this red button and thrust it out. The only problem is the top section of the lightsaber sticks and doesnt want to go down sometimes. But almost all lightsabers do that. I love to battle my dad even though i usually lose. He never uses jedi moves, he only uses sword and normal moves. lol. I LOVE THIS LIGHTSABER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Completely Awesome!!!
Five stars any day of the week! Those fancy lightup ones are light fragile and they bend real easily. This is the best toy I've ever bought. My friends and I duel all the time, even after we bought them-we fought in the Toys-R-Us parking lot. These are awesome! They're very durable and will last forever. I recommend this product highly!

4-0 out of 5 stars Let the Sith in you run wild
This is one awesome lightsaber. It is really durable. If you're a Star Wars fan I recommend getting it.I have two so my *neybor* and I can duel all the time. This one is totaly better than the electronic ones. They probably last like ten times longer. The only bad thing is that sometimes the blade is hard to get back in.But other than that it is awesome!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Much ado about nothing
As far as Star Wars is concerned, Lego is usually at their best when they create Star Wars vehicles.I haven't been all that thrilled with some of the Lego Star Wars set pieces I've seen. But this may just be a personal preference.

This set builds a set piece that serves as the stage for a duel between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. Both minifigs have a light-up light saber, and both of the light sabers are blue.Push down on either guy's head to light up his weapon.

The set piece has three platforms connected to a central platform by narrow pipes. At the end of each of the three platforms is a collapsible tower (and they fall over with the slightest touch).Above the middle platform is a small receptacle with three transparent orange "lava" pieces that you can dump over on one of the combatants. At the left and right sides of the arena are stunt stick mounts. Each stunt stick has a platform with pegs where you can place a minifig.Put each guy on a stunt stick platform, and our two guys are ready for a light saber duel.

The construction here is all pretty basic.Nothing too complicated.Colors are very dull.Light gray, dark gray, black, some brown, and transparent orange. There are many transparent orange 1x2 smooth plates here, numerous transparent orange single-peg round pieces, and six flame pieces. There is also a lava wall piece, a transparent orange base plate (8x8), and some angled plates in transparent orange. This is the place to come for transparent orange pieces.

Our set piece's durability is pretty good.I've been moving mine about with little trouble. The stunt stick mounts aren't attached to the set piece all that well.If you're using this set on a stable, flat surface, it's all good.Otherwise, the mounts might fall off.

The stunt sticks are kind of fun but also somewhat problematic. We can move them in any direction; however, when we lift a stunt stick up off of a floor, the minifig's weight causes the guy to tumble upside down.If you want to have Anakin or Obi-Wan perform a jump, there's no way to get him standing straight up again, and you have to use your other hand to set him right-side up (which defeats the purpose of using a stunt stick to begin with).Twisting on the stunt stick causes your guy to turn. You can turn him all the way around. The stunt sticks can be used to easily position your guy just about anywhere on the set piece.Personally, I find these devices to be rather cumbersome to use.If I want my two guys to duel, I'll just hold one guy in each hand and have them duel.

One final gripe, then I'll shut up.The batteries in the minifigs aren't replaceable.I'm not sure what we're supposed to do when Anakin's or Obi-Wan's battery runs dry.The light-up light saber is held in the right hand, which isn't movable. You can move his arm up and down, but you can't pose his hand. The light saber is held at an angle. But these are very minor complaints.I suppose that's the price we pay for a light-up light saber.

I wouldn't say that this is a bad Lego set.The set piece here is reasonably durable and well designed for the most part, if not all that attractive.I like Anakin and Obi-Wan with their light-up light sabers.I'd say that this is a good effort by Lego, but they're in their element when they're doing the vehicles. My verdict:one thumb up, one thumb down.

5-0 out of 5 stars best set in rots lego line

5-0 out of 5 stars My almost-six year old loves it!
This is one of his favorite cartridges. He was a little discouraged at first as some of the games were over his head but he's figured them out and plays it as much as I'll let him now.Definitely recommend having a Leapster backback to hold the Leapster and all the cartridges (plus spare batteries!) for trips and to keep away from younger siblings.

5-0 out of 5 stars My son loves this game, PLUS
My 7-year-old son enjoys this game tremendously. However, this review is more about its physical construction. The cartridges are small, and this one just took a trip through the washer. It still works without a problem! However I would suggest creating a special place for these cartridges - a lesson I have now learned.

4-0 out of 5 stars Really engaging for my 9 year old
My sister bought the Incredibles leapster game for my 9 year old daughter for her birthday - she loves it! Practicing multiplication and spelling words has never been something I could get her to do on her own. Now she WANTS to play all the learning games the so that she gets enough points to win access cards. The cards let her make progress in the jungle game. I suppose someday she'll beat the bad guy, but until then, this game has her practicing away! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Fun!
My daughter received this as a Christmas present and has been singing ever since. She absolutely loves this karaoke machine. She says it is so much "prettier" than other karaoke machines that she has seen. Her only problem so far, is that she is in 1st grade and she can't read fast enough to keep up with the words on the screen, so I'm hoping this will improve her reading skills. The reading thing doesn't bother her though, she just improvises. Two microphones make it alot of fun to share with friends.

5-0 out of 5 stars It was the only toy the kids played with at Christmas
This was a great buy.I have a 3yr old and a 5 1/2 yr old. When this gift was opened they went crazy for it. It took only about 3 minutes to set it up and they kids were playing with it.My husband and i had to peel them away to finish openeing the rest of the gifts under the tree.

We plugged it into the TV, that took 5 seconds to do all the cables are right with it and color coded so they just pop right in like the camcorder.Although the screen on the machine is black and white the music on the tv is bright colors with pictures (we bought the princess songs to go with it).

My husband has since taken over the machine and tells the kids it's his "turn".I think he liked it almost to much.

This machine is not ment to be a professional type of machine but if you have kids who just want to have fun this is it.Two microphones with very long cords.I would buy it again, no regrets at all.
