beauty!
my aunt's friend welima was choking in her sleep,and she couldnt wake up.while she was choking,she said that the model tripped off the board he was standing on and hit her on her head which woke her up.this model is a hero!i't was mine at first but i let her keep him.all i can say i's god bless breyer for making this model!i dont have much to say but these models have angel written all over them!and not to long ago she bought an arabian mare that has green and blue on her black coat.the vet says that the green is deep grass stains.but,i'ts unknown what the blue is.nothern lights her horse,stays at my aunt's busy ranch.i only dream to ride nothern lights,because,welima don't want her to get confuse who her master is.

Not designed as educational--AND FLIMSY!!
This is a frustrating, badly-designed toy like most Breyer tack. The cart is nice, but the harness is composed of tiny, tangled parts! Dont buy for under 8!Like the manufacturer's say!
The people who reviewed this were saying they bought it for their children, who were 5 or under.It says right at the top of the page, for 8 and up only!!! Breyer does not lie about their age recomendations!An 8 year old knows how to play nicely with an item that is produced by a manufacturer of COLLECTER'S items.NOT little kid toys.They do make toys for kids this young, but this is NOT one of them.4 and 5 year olds are rough on toys.Please buy ACCORDINGLY!

What a let down!A disgrace.
DO NOT BUY.You can't rate educational value, because the child is so disappointed when they touch something and it falls off!! It is only an education to the buyer not to purchase from Breyer.A carrying case too?I'd forgotten that was what it was called since the cupola snaps off immediately (as do the other parts).I purchased and assisted in the assembly with this for a 4-yr old horse lover.What a shame to the Breyer name.I am a horse lover and always thought of Breyer as THE name for horse collectibles.I cannot believe the poor quality put out by the company.DO NOT BUY.Everything snaps off, stickers peel off.The quality is soooo bad.Breyer should be refunding anyone that purchased this item and do a recall on batch numbers and claim machine malfunction.

I purchased a solid wood barn for under (...) just prior to the holiday for my own 5-yr-old daughter.It would have been worth the original asking of (...).It holds all of her horses and other animal friends.

Santa goofed
Purchased for a 6 years old who loves horses.She was excited but quickly became disappointed because of poor quality.Doors and windows fall off at the lightest touch.We couln't even get the fence to stay up... the only part that's usable is the horse.Check out Playmobil.It's a much better product and well worth the price. ... A majestic tribute to the breed...
I have collected Breyer model horses for fifteen years, and Breyer's black Andalusian stallion (#584, sculpted by Kathleen Moody) perfectly captures the majesty and power of these beautiful horses. Captured in a dramatic pose, the raised leg, taut muscles and flowing mane and tail give the impression of motion.The shining black coat is dramatic; most Andalusian models are white or grey (like the Breyer Robert Vavra's Majestad, # 1217). Although Breyers are highly collectible works of art (somewhat on the expensive side), they also make excellent toys for young horse lovers (recommended for ages 6 and up).They are generally durable, although prone to scratches with extensive handling.

As someone who has lived in Spain can tell you, Andalusian horses are the pride of the country, celebrated during Sevilla's Feria (Fair), and in the Spanish proverb "A horse is worth more than riches." Andalusians are one of the purest horse breeds in existence, having been the preferred mount of kings since the 15th century and earlier. It was the Andalusian that served as the foundation for the Lipizzaner of the famed Spanish Riding School in Vienna. Andalusians are used in bullfighting, dressage, show jumping, driving and endurance. The typical Andalusian stands15.2 to 16.2 hands. Colors include white, grey and black (chestnut is not regarded as a legal color for purebreds in many countries).

i ordered mine from a breyer catalog.he look just like midnightglory my mustang stallion!i the pose,the face,the body,the mane.it all look alike!well anyway my aunt's ranch has 342 horses and she has 34 breyer model's!this model is absalutely fun,and beautiful,just like midnightglory.the durableaty of this model is terrible!you can never place this model on a shelf without it falling!but i still enjoy him,and his beauty!
