4-0 out of 5 stars So far so good
My son received this easel for his birthday. He really loves the white board and his markers. The chalk board is also very usable.I like the deep wells for storing utensils. My one complaint is that I cannot get a whole pad of paper to stay under the clip but a few sheets do.Overall, a good product.

2-0 out of 5 stars waste of money
At first my daughter loved this and always used it.Three months later and the blackboard can't be used. The chalk won't even write on it any longer. Now I have to purchase another blackboard. This was not worth the money.

3-0 out of 5 stars piece of plastic junk
We received this easel as a gift for our daughter when she was 1.5 years old. Now, a little over a year later, the blackboard side no longer accepts chalk -- it's been rubbed smooth from use.

Invest in a real blackboard, not a sheet of blackboard-like paper pasted onto plastic. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Combination of Supplies for Creating Art for Kids
This is an excellent collection of easy-to-use art supplies for children. It includes the drawing "tools" my daughters like to use most. This collection empowers children to be creative.

I suggest you buy this Crayola set, a case of cheap paper, a couple rolls of invisible tape, a pencil sharpener, a bottle of Elmer's school glue, and a stapler (for sure). Then give your child frequent access to the supplies to draw pictures and design things. Your child's creativity will emerge on its own.

Highly recommended! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun....
I bought this for my 2-year-old and he likes it a lot (I keep the markers in a safe place, though....markers and 2-year-olds are a dangerous combination).I especially like the reverse side of the workspace; you can put paper over it and lightly rub the crayon to see images come through.I like it as much as he does.I think it will be used for a long time.

The only thing I don't like is the price....I got it on clearance.I don't think it's worth the full price. ... Read more

Editorial Review

This featherweight, pliable modeling material can be used to make almost anything--doll furniture, Christmas ornaments, jewelry. You can roll it, squeeze it, or mold it. Each of the four sealed pouches contains 8 ounces of nontoxic modeling material, each in a different color--red, yellow, blue, and white (colors may stain). Braid colors together, or combine them to form new colors. Try a marbled look. A chart on the back of the lidded plastic container shows how to mix colors. You can press objects into the soft material, either to leave decorative or textural imprints or to become a part of your creation. Objects usually air dry within 24 hours--and so does the leftover material, so be sure to put it in an airtight container for safekeeping. Once you've opened a package it's best to use it all on the same day. When your creations have "set," they can be painted and decorated. --Louise Carter ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars So Awesome!
I love this..It is so soft and easy to shape and it doesnt stick. My mom used to always buy it for us but she stopped because it was always rock hard when bought. I wish that she still bought it but i dont care because whenever i see it i dont want it anymore becase i know its for little kids..lol..anyways its great!

5-0 out of 5 stars Better than playdough
This stuff feels light as air, and is easy to model and mold into just about anything. With the first package we bought, the Model Magic was hard as a rock (so it was obviously ancient). I emailed Crayola, who apologized profusely and offered me a coupon for a new package (their customer support system is prompt and professional- 5 stars for that!). It should be noted, then, that if you want your creation to be permanent, leave it out to air dry (about 24 hours). If you want to be able to keep playing with it, put it in an airtight container. I tried putting water on the rock hard stuff (as the website suggested trying), but it didn't do anything. More fun than playdough (and doesn't smell funny, either).

5-0 out of 5 stars best present my child received
My child received this for christmas last year and loves it. I have had to buy more.We create animals, make letters, we made a volcano. She will sit and create on her own.My child likes doing crafts and creating things, so this may not be for every child. It feels different from play-doh and does not have a smell like play-doh. Other reviewers said they had to use the package up in one day. I rolled the package up to close it, clipped it with a clothes pin, put it back in the container and ours stayed fresh. We keep ours in the house. ... Read more

I don't have this "can", but I do use this paint. It makes very vivid colors on paper and is easy to clean up.My kids always ask for "goopy" paint over water colors or finger paint.Sometimes we just paint a plate and wash it.Saves paper.

5-0 out of 5 stars BEST GIFT EVER!!
I purchased this light desk for my son for Christmas when he was 7 years old.SEVEN YEARS LATER HE STILL USES IT!!!!He has gone thru countless batteries, but it still has the original light bulb. The box is showing signs of age so I'm going to replace it for his 14th birthday.

If you know a child who likes to draw, and you want to buy a gift that won't be thrown in the closet a week after they get it, buy them this tracing desk...They'll love it!

5-0 out of 5 stars This is the best toy for your budding artist!!!
I bought this for my five year old daughter and she loves it!It is a little hard for her to do it, but it helps to tape the pictures down so they don't move. Her 8 year old sister has been using it more. They both prefer to draw rather than color, but love coloring these pictures because they drew them theirselves and they got to choose the details of their picture. They have played with this toy more than with any other toy they received for Christmas.I feel it is very educational and is improving their drawing skills. Since everything fits inside the case it is very portable. The only problem is you can't keep everything inside the case when it is turned on.I personally loved this toy!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Takes a while to make, but worth the wait.
It's a great toy and fun 2 use. Why i only give it 4 stars is because it's kind of messy and takes about 20-30 minutes to make. I bought mine at pamida a while ago for 20 dollors. Now its i think about ten doallors their. The crayons are cool once their done. I made one with Red,Blue, and White, I caled it the patriotic crayon. Good toy!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars Great in Theory, Frustrating in Practice
My 5-year-old daughter and I love the idea of this toy, and since opening it a week ago, have used it many times.Unfortunately, not once have our efforts been rewarded with three whole crayons (the amount that should be made each time).Something keeps going wrong -- for one reason or another the melted wax does not flow down properly into the molds.Sometimes it fills in the side molds but not the middle; lately the wax has been pooling on the top and making no crayons at all.I continue to go over everything to make sure that nothing is blocking the process, but the problems continue.Apparently many others aren't running into this problem, so perhaps I just got a lemon. But be warned -- unfortunately, the product does not always work.

1-0 out of 5 stars wouldn't work twice
I wouldn't know how many stars to give this toy for fun, because so far the two I have gotten home haven't work.My son is very disappointed and really wants it so I will be trekking off one last time to toys r us to return it again. But three strikes that ends it for me. ... Read more

Sometimes the creative impulse can't be restrained, as evidencedby the countless juvenile masterpieces created on living room walls. TheCrayola Color Wonder Marker and Activity Tote will let the parents oflittle Picassos and O'Keefes breathe a little easier, knowing that theeight markers will only color on the special paper provided by Crayola. The 36-page activity book that comes inside the tough green 11-by-14-inchmesh carrying case has plenty of undersea coloring pictures andpuzzles to keep kids happy, and plenty more is available. The markersreally are amazing--they don't leave marks anywhere but on the uniquepaper, and they don't smell as toxic as other markers. --RobLightner ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing!!!!!Must Have!!!!
The Crayola Color Wonder Markers are the best ever. I first bought these for my daughter on her first birthday she will be three in june. she loves the markers, activity books and also the finger paints. She has used both the finger paints and markers in the doctors office, at church, in the car (she has dropped the markers on the leather interior and it didnt stain), on our trip to disneyworld and so on. She even uses them on several different hardwood tables around the house without staining them. My child is very energetic and can get carried away while playing or coloring and has even colored on the floor, wall, door, sofa and dog all without staining them.My daughter has regular crayons and markers but rarely uses them, she prefers the Color Wonder Markers. This is a must have if you have toddlers and need to keep them entertained on the go or any time.

5-0 out of 5 stars My Daughter Loves Color Wonder Markers!
My daughter, now 18 months old, has been playing with these since she was about a year old and just learning to hold a pen. They draw much easier than crayons, and she can get a better variety of effects with less effort.

She is VERY good about just coloring on the paper, but I'm sure they've hit both the coffee table and our kitchen table (both real wood, but with a good finish on them) and we haven't had any problems with stains.

One of the things I like best is they don't break like crayons when they hit the tile floor.

She has almost as much fun taking the caps on and putting them back on as she does coloring. The handy carry case ensures that everything is together when you need it.It's also very handy for sitting together on the couch and coloring. This has been one of her favorite toys.

The workbook that comes with it is definitely too big girl, but I go to the store and just buy the blank paper and let her go.It is more expensive than regular paper, but we make sure we use the whole sheet!

I would recommend this product to anyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best thing since sliced bread!
My daughter has been using these markers since she was old enough to hold one. She is 5 now and still never gets tired of coloring with these and as a mom I love the fact that there is no mess. I am a bit shocked to see all teh reviews about ruined wood. I have not had that problem so I cant say yay or nay to it.. However I think the product was designed for accidental over the page scribbles not for children who like to draw on everything but the paper. I have never had a problem with my daughter trying to use these markers on anything but the paper, and for the most part she lays down on the floor to color with them. The worst problem I have had is getting her to put the caps back on.HA HA!I would have to say ruined furniture (with the exception of coloring surfaces such as desks and tables)from these markers is not the blame of faulty markers but faulty discipline. If your child has a tendency to color on walls and other object other than where they are suppose to be coloring, I wouldnt buy these markers for them, nor any drawing utensils for that matter. But these markers are perfect for the child who doesnt color perfectly on the page, has a tendency to leave the cap off (no ink stains on the floor!)and enjoys the "magic" that it introduces when they first draw on the paper! ... Editorial Review

The Crayola line of products is normally associated with the decidedly low-tech box of crayons. Sure the box of 64 comes with a little sharpener but that’s about as fancy as one ever imagines Crayola getting. This fun and imaginative drawing toy, however, might change that unplugged image. The overhead projector casts images on to the dry-erase drawing surface, giving budding artists a chance to trace, color, enhance, and otherwise illustrate artwork. 15 image discs are included, sporting 105 separate images, and there’s also a convenient storage tray to make sure the discs don’t get lost. Although the toy is based on copying already existing images, we still found plenty of room for creative expression in this set. Four C batteries are required but not included. --Charlie Williams ... 2-0 out of 5 stars HELP.......WHERE TO GET LIGHT BULBS
I know this thing is a piece of crap but my 5 year old is unhappy because it fell of her Little Tikes table and now it doesn't seem to work. I think it may be the light bulb. Is there anyone out there that knows what kind of buld to use. Your help would be grealty appreciated.

2-0 out of 5 stars Should have ran for it......
I had a bad feeling about this "toy" when I saw it-but my kids were BEGGING me for it so profusely(because of those cheezy tv ads)-how could I refuse. I broke down and bought it......and then it broke down. Aside from the fact that the tracer light needs to be adjusted constantly because it gets out of focus- the light bulb is a battery vampire-it is soooo cheaply made-the light head needs constant tightening because it keeps dropping down while in use. STAY AWAY FROM THIS THING NO MATTER WHAT SWEET PUPPY EYES YOUR KIDS MAKE AT YOU-they will thank you later, and you will do much of the same.

5-0 out of 5 stars JustPerfect
I have owned this for three years now.The light has never gone out. It's still going stong. My 3 Daughters have all taken their turns getting good use out of it.As far as the other reviews go.Honestly what were they expecting, a light as bright as they want would produce way to much heat, and they would all be on here talking about how terrible it was that it burned their children. Its a great toy, perfect for your preschooler.Buy and enjoy. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Garbage
I purchased this item for my 4 Year old daughter. It had to be almost pitch black in order to get a clear view of the picture to trace. Once we had a clear view, the pallet would slide all over the table top. Horrible TOY!! A RIP OFF!! Crayola just lost a customer!!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars crayola has lowered thierstandards
i was really looking foward to my lil one having fun with this product.. it doesn't line up at all to trace, the flaps to put paper under riped as soon as we tried to place paper.. crayola really cheated us on our money (not to mention $ to pay for it to go back). The 1st time i saw such a toy,it was in a rep.toy mag. but it wasn't crayola,i thought i could trust Crayola so i went with thier version. oh well parents don't bother

1-0 out of 5 stars The box is not a clue to the actual size
We opened the box and were shocked to find a tiny toy inside.
This was very dissapointing considering the size we were expecting. It is a 1/4 the size of the box.Four for these could have fit into the same box.Shame on crayola for tricking us.The concept is a great idea. There are 3 disks. Could have given you more disks, or sold them sepreratly like the viewmaster company does.Kids will get sick of the same picture, the pictures included are not very interesting.Mostly bugs and space theme, leans toward boys.Includes no paper and the paper size needed is not a standard one you could just buy.So the paper slips around and the final drawing we made was distorted.I have heard the full size trace and draw comes with 10 disks and is better.
I am packaging this one up this morning and bringing it back for a refund!!!! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Low Price, But Not Very Necessary
First, this bag contains exactly what it promises. Read the production description. Click on the picture to view a larger version. You are told exactly what is in the bag.
The only problem is that you could get these things separately, and the duffel itself isn't really necessary.
Still, the price is low and it is cute enough to hold a child's attention. The duffel, of course, can be reused.

1-0 out of 5 stars Missing pieces
I am very disappointed with this product. The amazing art duffle bag came in almost empty. Promised bags of modeling clay, stamping markers, stickers and the activity booklet was nowhere to be found. Then I started reading the other reviews about this product and sadly realized that I was not the only one... I can't believe Crayola continues to ship the product half empty. It is about time that someone takes an action...

1-0 out of 5 stars Do Not Buy
This seems like a "Bait & Switch" ... The picture shown, as well as the written decription, portrays a fun filled (and I do mean FILLED) bag of art supplies, when it is actually filled with mostly air.The missing supplies included three packages of modeling clay, 10 washable mini stamp markers, the activity booklet, of the 15 sticks of sidewalk chalk promised - it came with only 6.There were no washable markers - there are 10 non-washable markers.
This is an extremely disappointing purchase. ... Read more

This is a great toy. My 4-year-old loves it. The first day he had it, he played with it for over 2 hours straight! There are watercolors, markers, colored pencils - enough to keep their imagination going. This was a great buy.

Editorial Review

Painting with water colors is usually a messy activity but this compact kit keeps all components contained for a more spill-free painting method that is even easy to bring on the road. The right side of the plastic tray houses a row of nicely balanced crescent-shaped watercolors and a well that, instead of holding sloshing water, contains a neat damp sponge. A tightly closing hard plastic case stores paint, sponges, and brushes during travel. Shaped like crayons, the three brushes in this kit feature innovative and interchangeable sponge tips that, when used with the crescent-shaped paints, can make unique multi-colored rainbow paintings. Brushes stand straight up in the tray to avoid marking tabletops or works in progress. The tray's clipboard holds a sheet of 8-1/2-by-5-1/2-inch paper, which serves as a palette for designs. The kit includes a plastic tray, six paints, three brush holders, six foam brushes in varying sizes, a sponge, and five sheets of paper. These watercolors are not the washable kind so it is advisable that kids wear a smock. --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Would Not Recommend
This is cheap, cheap, cheap.Sounded like a great concept, but it was extremely frustrating to use - - the sponges don't work well at all, and you can't get any real "color" from them. The paper provided was small and flimsy.I felt bad for my son as we worked together to try and paint.I can't believe I bought him such a junkie set.I agree with the other reviewer, invent in a good brush and a "real" paint set.

1-0 out of 5 stars HUGE WASTE OF MONEY!!!
very suprisingly poorly made toy and not for the age they have specified...possible would work for much older. The colors make a big mess, small pieces are easily lost/hard to keep in order and the pens dont write very well when you wet them.If I didnt get this online and we hadnt made a MESS of it trying to work it, you can bet it would have been returned because Im very unhappy with this purchase!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars So embarrassed...
My nephew has the real "as seen on TV" set of watercolors and it is great! My 5 yo daughter and 3 yo son loved playing it at my sister's house. When I saw this set by Crayola, I purchased 2 for gifts and my son added it to his Christmas list. When Santa brought it, we were SOOOOO disappointed and it quickly made it's way to the back of the closet. The sponges aren't nearly big or thick enough and it was very frustrating for both of my kids.I had a very hard time making a rainbow with it!Now, I am so embarrassed that I gave the other two as gifts to two friends' children. That is the last time I simply trust the brand name and don't testdrive a toy first. This is a piece of junk and I think Crayola has a lot nerve charging $20 for it. ... Budding abstract artists can get their start with the clever and highly entertaining Wacky Roto Art kit. Kids spin a sturdy plastic wheel while squeezing two plungers filled with paint (includes red, yellow, and blue). The square of paper attached to the wheel is spattered, squirted, and sprayed while it spins, creating abstract art worthy of Jackson Pollock (well, almost). Sounds too messy? Fear not! A transparent plastic shield protects the immediate environs from becoming installation art. Do take note: attaching the shield--and keeping it attached--is no easy feat. However, for families who are sick of battery-powered toys, this kid-powered alternative (kids not included) will be worth the potential for a little mess. Includes spinning wheel, plastic shield, spray plunger and paint cups, 10 sheets of paper, three little tubs of paint, and one paint brush (in case children want to venture out beyond splatter art). --Emilie Coulter ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Just Not Worth It- Even On Sale. Not Even If It Was Free!!!!
Wish I could give this negative stars. The reviews don't lie on this one.
The shield doesn't stay on, it was frustrating to put together, one of the sprayers didn't work, The paper is small and gets drenched after a second, you can't change the paper without a huge mess, the toy is messy in general, the spayers turn around enough so it can get sprayed outside the sheild....need I go on?
this went right into the trash after a few minutes of use!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars No fun for kids or adults!
My 4 year-old daughter received this as a birthday gift. She loves the Spin Art by Roseart we already had, so I thought she'd like this as well.We quickly opened it and assembled it.During the spinning, the shields kept falling off, the paint was everywhere, and missed the paper!

I quickly returned it-- get the Spin Art by Roseart instead-- I think it's about $10!

1-0 out of 5 stars It's Wacky all Right
Don't waste your money! My hands are blistered from the assembly and the sheild keeps falling off.In ours we had two blue paints and one yellow instead of blue, yellow, and red.It was huge mess. The paper was quickly soaked and fell off the holder. It is obvious that Crayola didn't try this ill-conceived thing out before they sold it!

2-0 out of 5 stars Not very good
Not a very good item but my 3 year old loves it. Its messy and very time hasseled.

1-0 out of 5 stars wish they had read the reviews before they bought it.
my parents just bought this for my daughter(5 yrs.) for christmas. I wish i would have known how messy it was and how cheaply made it was. She has problems getting the lid open due to sand stuck up in it. The release button got stuck after putting one color of sand on the picture. I tried to get it working by cleaning it out and that only made the problem worse. I don't recomend this at all. If you want sand in the house buy them a sandbox.

2-0 out of 5 stars Good idea....not good as designed and sold.
I think the idea is a great one.My son (4.5) was dying to do it and I was excited to help him.Getting the sand into the teeny bottles was VERY messy and not easily done even for me. The stickers are hard to get off the page without taking other parts of the picture off....and if one part gets off, it won't re-stick and sand gets under it. The 'release' mechanism to return the sand to the bottles got stuck open on the first try. And again, was messy trying to get the sand back into the bottles. Again, if they could fix the mess problem....or maybe not advertise that it's mess free? ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed
We ordered this for our 3 1/2 year old. It was missing the mounting plate for the projector & the light did not work, even with a new bulb & 4 new batteries. Even had it come with all of the pieces & it actually worked, I would have been disppointed. The desk & stool are too small for the recommended age ranges & there is nowhere for the child to keep their crayons/marker/colored pencils while using the product. They just roll right on down onto the floor. We returned this & purchased something else.

1-0 out of 5 stars Piece of Junk
My daughter received this item as a gift for her third birthday. When my husband went to put it together it was missing all the screws. Then, when my daugther went to play with it there was nothing to draw with no crayons, no markers, and no colored pencils. You would think for $40.00 they would include something to draw with it is crayola. The thing is made of very cheap plastic and is not very sturdy you could bump into it and knock the whole thing over. There is nowhere to put any drawings not even a drawer.I would reccomend no buying this item. ... Editorial Review

Crayons, once merely tools for writing, art, and imagination, can now be transformed into Spider-Man and Dock Ock action figures with this wax-melting machine. Housed in a red plastic box with a clear lid, the unit features a metal melt tray in which to place the crayons. An indicator signals when it's time to pour the wax into the mold; shortly thereafter, the solidified action figure can be extracted. Kids might get bored with this after they've used it a few times. Included in the kit are 12 Crayola crayons, two different Spider-Man molds, and two Dock Ock molds. The heat lamp can cause burns, so parents should take caution. Required, but not included, is a 60-watt candelabra light bulb. --Andy Boynton ... Read more
