This toy rocks! 11 year old kid from AZ.
This toy is awesome! I bought this car for my sister as an early birthday present because I have one too.I wish I would have gotten the car that I gave her because it is black and it is a really cool car. It is a black Subaru WRX Impreza and I think it's cooler than my Nissan Skyline GTR which is blue. The stock motor which is green that ever car comes with is pretty fast and if you get the hop kit than it is really fast. Don't buy the super slicks fully loaded they may have lights, but they are only fast if you use the boost button and because of the lights the charge does not last long.I read on the super slicks web site that if you put an original super slicks body top on it than they said it would make the charge last longer. Why would you spend the money when you could spend it on a hop kit. Super Slicks, Super Awsome
I absolutely love these i bought them all i love how you have to put in the motor and its so easy! It dosn't take long to charge either just a few seconds!!!!

Doesn't Work
We have had a similar problem as one of the other reviews.Our car has only been used for a few minutes and doesn't work properly.Sometimes it won't even go at all, other times it stops and starts.We are taking it back to the store.We also bought a second car and the track so are debating what to do, take a chance on another car, or return all items which add up in price.

We returned and purchase another - Horrible Experience
My son was extremely excited to get his superslick. He opened it up for christmas and it did not work. On the second busiest day of the year we exchanged it for another on. The same issue, it did not work.

Nightmare
I bought this for my son as a christmas gift.it turned out ,the cars hate to stay on track and (veryfast) if you push the trigger just a bit lessthe cars stay in one spot.its a catch22 that you wished you never purchased for your son(age of 5)

racing sets
The set is a lot of fun if the fuse wouldn't blow every day.We ran through 4 fuses in the 1st week and have not used the track again.

very disappointed
My son received this track as a gift and was so excited to put it together only to be disappointed because he can't play with it.The fuse blows out alot.In a month, I have replaced it 5 times.The cars won't stay on the track.Too fast and they fly off, too slow and they won't go around the loops. We spend more time picking up the cars and putting them back on the track than we do playing.This track was not worth the money and time it took to put it together. ... Read more

Sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please dont by this car, it is a big waste of money. I bought it and it was ok for 5 days then the wheel fell off,and you have to charge it every 3 minutes. Then i bought the upgrade kit it didnt do nothing at all!!!!!! then it started to get weaker after 2 days. Then after that the car only worked for 1 minute and i had to keep charging it!!! So i had to let the cap that holds the moter, i had to take it off just for it to run, and when i did that the gear kept popping out. So please please dont waste your money buy somthing else worth $20.00. ... Read more

decent in most ways
It LOOKS neat,but the cars fly off the track so much it is like the cars have wings.The gard rails offer some portection.The cars do look neat.At least it works.I recomend it 85%(out of 100%).

Not like the old, but my kids LOVE IT!
Though not perfect, my children REALLY enjoy playing with this race kit.The track is stronger and better designed than the track I played with as a kid ~ 25 years ago and my children have enjoyed this race track for hours.

The negatives: 1. Battery powered (on our 3rd set of 4 D batteries within ~ 7 days ... unless the batteries are still rather strong the cars won't run smoothy, so this is a bad design to me).2.The 2 metal 'brushes' on the bottom are flimsy, I like the solid metal contacts the cars use to be designed with.The company even sends replacement brushes with instructions on how to change, realizing these don't last long. (I may try to make one's like I'm use to seeing, would certainly improve the cars!)3.Not enough straight track without crossing lanes.One or 2 would be fine but my kids can't get a lap or 2 in without crashing at the crossings.

Overall, this has been a great source of fun.For what it was purchased for, it has been great!

So far so good
We got this track for our son for xmas 2004.This is his first time with a slot car machine and it has proved to be a ton of fun.While it is easy to fly off the track, knowing when to slow down makes it less likely.My sons are 6 and 4 and have quickly mastered the art of a basic oval.My 6 yr old cand do the loops and stay on the track.This is a fun toy that can be mastered with a little practice. ...
