Part of the allure of RC sets is being able to be a car collector, amassing a vast garage full of models that would be considerably harder to obtain and maintain in real life. ok...
I bought this item recently and have decided that it isn't perfect. I thought that it was an ok car, although it isn't very durable. I drove it over a little rock and the wheel almost came off. Other than it not being very durable, it's not half bad for its price.I recommend this car to anyone who's plan isn't to drive it like a tank overwater, in water. It's not an anphibious veihcle.

Sad but true
Unfortunately, I must agree with most parents...this toy looks cool but comes up extremely short!!It took me over an hour to put together and figure out.The bigest problem is once you break off one of the side pieces....the toy is worthless.You will never get it to work right after that.The whole this is base on the tension among all the tracks....my son and I did manage to get the cars to go around a couple of times even after we broke of one of the side pieces...and that was cool but eventually the cheap plastic got the best of the game and cars kept flying off....maybe for $5 dollars I would rebuy a new one...but even then...knowing what I know now....I would still be leary.

Wish I read reviews prior to purchase
My son used his own Christmas money to purchase this track.Unfortunately it has been a big disappointment.He has more fun watching mom and dad race each other...that is when the cars actually stay on the track and go all the way around.

Worst toy ever
It was obviously not physics majors who designed this thing. After spending almost an hour putting it together, it does not even remotely work. The cars will not even go into the loop, let alone finish the track. In order to get enough velocity to get up the track, the cars fly off every time. Combine this with the fact that an eight year old would have to lift weights to get the car going that fast. Luckily my son is creative enough to play with the track without actually launching the cars, otherwise this would already be in the trash. I have recently bought this car it, is the best rc I,ve ever owned.Me and my friends have been racing and this is really fast.I Was just fooling around and hit some curbs, jumped off them and nothinh happend to the car. I recomend this to anyone looking for racing action!

Rocks
I have had a lot of fun with my Mercedes. But after a couple snap rolls it brought the fun down a level. Here in Oregon we have had some snow, from this problem there has been gravel trucks driving by dumping gravel. I took the hot Benz in the gravel... fun after about 5 minutes but when rocks got into the stearing and now it only turns to the right. Its a big drag! Suck Truck
Let me give you 4 reasons why this car [...].

1. It says all over the package, "Ready To Run!".So if you buy this thinking that your child will be able to play with it immedietely, think again.You have to charge the battery for 4 hours before you can play with it.I would expect this, if the box hadn't said over and over, "Ready To Run!"

2. In the instructions, aside from the very picky battery handling rules are the rules for where you cannot drive your new Fastlane monster truck.Don't drive it on the carpet, in the grass or in sand.Where are you supposed to drive a monster truck then?In a baby playpen?

3. The car has very little power.I put a 2x4 board down and at full speed the truck could make it over this 1.5" obstacle, but if it pulled up slow and tried to just drive over it, it couldn't make it at all.Not even close.I didn't try driving it over gravel or anything FUN because it was raining out and I realized quickly that I was going to return it.I would bet that it would have a difficult time with anything other than pavement.

4. The sound effects of the engine my girlfriend liked, I found them annoying.But if you let the car sit for more than 10 seconds it goes into a standby mode.When you try to drive it after that it plays the sound of the engine starting and reving before you can drive it.I guess this is some "coolness" feature, but I found it annoying.

Fantastic Toy but has 2 major bugs.
Got this toy for my 4 year old son and right out of the box we loved it, my Son played with it for hours on end and my Wife and Myself actualy found it to be fun for us to play with him and drive the unit also.Now for the bad part, the unit has no OFF switch, it basicaly waits for about 30 seconds of inactivity and switches itself off.The bad news is that when the batteries get low the unit becomes erratic and refuses to shutoff or it will shutoff and turn itself back on randomly.One night at 1 AM I almost had a heart attack when the unit turned on and plunged 6 feet down off the closet shelf!If your willing to change the batteries on a regular basis than this toy will entertain your child for months.BTWDurability and etc has been good so far and the features are very impressive, the sound is very loud but a piece of tape placed over the speaker will cut that down.

Make sure you have some time before you open
Bought this for my 3 year old son and two of my nephews. Took forty minutes to unscrew all the screws to get it out of box. Once it's out of the box I find that there are more screws to unscrew in order to get the wheels to turn. By this time3 year old is in tears because it's taking sooo long.
Not very durable and very loud. Since I did not want to torture my sister-in-law who is not handy with tools I'm going to replace two of the machines for anther brand.

Toy for one day
This loader sucks the power out of the required four AA batteries after a 24 hour period.I've gone through four sets of AA batteries in four days.I'd like to return this truck, but it was a gift from my family in the States and we're living overseas.There is no phone number or working e-mail address for Toy State.I'm stuck with this thing my son loves but can't play with.

cat loader not very reliable
my wife and i purchased the loader for our nephew for christmas and he thoroughly enjoyed it for about six weeks. Now the loader will not perform the functions of forward or reverse when on the floor, but it will go in reverse on the dining room table. I am unable to find a number for toy state industrial. that is only marking on the bottom of the loader. so as of this time we have one very depressed nephew. the loaders remote functions are quite entertaining when they worked, that being said because i am a heavy equipment operator, so everything we buy is either john deere or cat. ... ... Lots of fun
My kid spent 3 hours playing with this the first day, and 1 hours so far today. He loves it. The crane is fun, but so are the trucks -- great for "free play" -- scooping up plastic rocks and dumping them.

Yes, the speaker is WAY too loud, like ALL kids toys (why is this?). So I put 2 pieces of black electrical tape over it (like ALL toys I buy), and now it's fine.

Lots of fun! No dead battery problems yet... and we left the crane switch on all night. (But if you have kids -- you know about rechargable batteries I'm sure.)

eats batteries
My 3 year son loves construction equipment, so when we saw this set, he had to have it. The crane needs 6 aa batteries for it to work, 2 for the remote and 4 for the crane itself. After 2 hours of playing the remote needed new batteries, the next morning the crane needed new batteries. My son did not even play constantly with the crane during the 2 hrs he played with it. The crane also makes sounds while operating and the sounds are extremely loud. You cannot turn off the sound. The base of the crane gets very hot while playing with it. better than zipzap
i got this car for x-mas and it is fast. i bought the 1:43 hop up kit and it is amazing. i reccomend this car. and i reccomenend you to customize the body with spoilers from other cars and spray paint.

Detailed and Powerful
This mini rc is Powerful, compared to those zips and chars.Will easily run on a flat rug.The stock motor is fast, don't let the rpm fool you.I picked mine up at Albertson's, they had two cars.Guess if I want the hop ups or extra bodies I will have to order online from Toys R Us.Battery charge last a while.Works well with rechargables, 3 AAA and 1 9V.Can't wait for the track kit and lights upgrade.Proportional steering and multiple bands for future models would be great idea though, so more than 2 can race at a time.Very happy for $20 bucks ... a good starter RC
Well so far I have had my truck for a week and no complaints to this date.The battery lasts maybe 20mins-30mins easy and I say that is pretty good due to the fact this truck has working head lights, sounds, and is pretty fast for a large RC.The suspension is rather noisy though because the truck shakes from the motor trying to imitate a real engine, this can be rather annoying because it is no possible to shut off the vibrations.Tho looks and size of the truck seemed to be very impressive but I would not try and take it onto "the offroad terrain" due to the fact again the suspesion looks like thin plastic.So far though I would recommend it though , its fun.

Dont wast your money
When I first got this truck I though wow.So I got it out of the package and charged it for a few hours. After thos few hours the battery was charged and I put in the truck and it shakes and I dot like that and then I take it outside and try it out and it takes 4 secounds to move forward or reverse so I try the steering and it takes 5 secounds to even start eving turning. So I take it back to Toys R us and get my money back and I get another RC. This time it is a Ford F-150 (New Birght) and is 100% better than this Cheavy.So if I were you I would not wast my money on this

Awesome Racing Fun!
This track rocks!My son and I used to race all over the house with our Super Slicks (which my wife wasn't too keen on), but then I bought him this track set and now we can race each other in the enclosed track like real race car drivers!I even went and bought another to make the track even bigger!So awesome!

This track is a MUST if you own Super Slicks or even any other Mini R/C car.

race like the pros
This barrier wall kit is awesome. Because you can change the speed on the cars by changing the motors, you and your friends can race around and try to beat each other. Most track sets are simple figure eights and the cars fly off if you go too fast. But with this one, you stay inside and hug the rail, just like the pros.

Cars rock but track does not!
So these cars are awesome.. they last a super long time... they're really fast.Get one! But don't bother with the track... its not really a track, its just the side bumpers of the track and it doesn't even come with enough connector pieces to join the amount of track they give you... and it moves around when you hit it with the cars.Make your own track.. trust me. this is the coolest car ever
I like this car because it's really cool.I also like how fast lane has a lo0t of cars from the movie The fast and the furious, and 2fast 2furious.

Need more power
This toy was great out of the box and fully charged, but after the first charge the fun is over. It does not hold a charge well and last about a 1/3 the time of the first charge. The car will only runn on a smooth level floor, anything else is a waste of time. This toy would have been more fun if I had more room to use it.

Can not play with it long enough

One of best radio-controlled toy cars!
This is a fun toy. Good and sturdy. It can come with race track or a handy tool kit. It can ride fast or slow, turns good, and can ride on any surface. Plus, there are many differant types of choices and colors. This is what i think about this toy!!!

This toy rocks!
Tis toy rocks! allthe other brands break and the steering dosen't work that good, but this one isn't just durable, it's really fast too. When you get the hop up kit it will definatelly make a big difference. The race track for this isw really cool too!!!
