5-0 out of 5 stars Where can I get one!!??
I've been looking for Bravemore Castle since November and still no luck!

Anyone have any information/leads as to where I can get one (without being gouged!!!)

Thanks!

Grace E.

5-0 out of 5 stars Our son is got this for his 7th birthday...
and still loves it 7 months later! He even takes it camping and plays for hours outside with it.We are getting him more - his Dad likes to get in on it, too.

5-0 out of 5 stars Lair of the roc
Dragomont has dragons who fight for him, so good King Bravemore has a roc (a large eagle). This is a fun playset that has some nice features.

The scene is the stronghold of King Bravemore, or perhaps the roc's lair. The Imaginext medieval series is just bursting with creative energy and storytelling potential.Who is this roc?Where did he come from? How did he meet King Bravemore? All questions that we can answer for ourselves as we build the castle and take the valiant king on countless adventures.

The castle features a lowering door/drawbridge, a break-apart wall that collapses, and a large eagle head sculpture with talons on a string that drop down to grab intruders. The castle stands atop some rock formations and has two floors: ground floor and battlements above. It also has a nice round tower.

The set is comprised of interlocking pieces that snap together.Rock formations, walls, round towers, floorboards, and battlements all fit together in various ways.Constructing a fortress of your own design is as easy as coming up with an idea.Assembly instructions are easy to follow.

The castle looks good and has some nice detail in the walls, windows, and eagle sculpture.Fully assembled, it's quite durable. It can be moved around without falling apart. The pieces themselves are solid and attractive.

The yellow roc has posable talons and wings, and he can shoot large, flat projectiles.Load them into his back and push the trigger on his tail to fire away.Hitting a target above the front door will lower it.Likewise, a target above the eagle sculpture drops its claws to grab intruders below (it doesn't retract, though). If you remove the brown tower and place it elsewhere, the roc can perch atop the tallest tower to keep an eye on his domain (his talons fit onto pegs on the battlements).

Also included is King Bravemore. He has some good posability in the arms, and he can also ride the roc.He comes with a helmet, shield, and two weapons (sword and staff). His hands do a great job of grasping the items. He's a cool action figure.

All you need are some more characters to liven things up.I went out and got Prince Truman with his winged lion to keep the king company. This set also works nicely along side the Dragon Keeper Dungeon and/or Dragomont's Fortress.King Bravemore can fight Dragomont and his minions while the roc faces off with the dragons.

For the target audience, this toy is probably loads of fun, as it can be built and re-built in different configurations. It's also compatible with other Imaginext sets.I had a great time assembling it and playing around with it.This is a quality piece of work.Attractive.Durable.And it looks great. My verdict:thumbs up. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars wonderful
my 2 year old loves these animals. the aligators are his favorite. Not much to say, except they're very durable and fun. Nice addition to the zoo or ark.

5-0 out of 5 stars 100% Entertainment Value
My daughter (now 28 months) has been playing with these animals as part of the compilation of her Noah's Ark and Farm EVERY single day, without fail, for the past 14 months and I think she has a developed a terrific imagination on account of the fact that there are no bells and whistles just some brightly colored, (VERY durable FYI), creatures she gets to place in a host of scenarios.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great uses
Kids never out grow animals, still at the age of 2 my son loves these, he uses them to take to one another, makes the crock snap, very cute to watch, he is learning the names of the animals, what sounds they make and where they live, I hope my second son will enjoys theses as well. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good but consider the TRex instead
We got both the TRex and the Allosaurus. Our boy loves them both, but for the extra five bucks the TRex is about twice as big and it roars. So if you're only buying one, I'd go with TRex.

5-0 out of 5 stars New Favorite
My son got this as a gift for his 4th birthday. We've never seen these before but the second he unwrapped it, it became his newest, most bestest toy ever!

We're going to buy more with some of his birthday money!

5-0 out of 5 stars Slasher the Allosaurus
Dinosaurs are the coolest thing that ever happened to Imaginext. While the pirate and medieval themes are cool, this prehistoric theme takes the prize for ultra coolness. The premise here is simple enough.Predators versus non-predators.Carnivores versus herbivores.

Slasher the Allosaurus is one of the bad guys. He's a cool action figure with some nice features. He has posable legs and tail, and his head is on a ball joint that allows for super posability. You can move his head up, down, left, right, and pose him in any number of ways. His jaw opens.Slasher has an impressive set of teeth for chomping on his prey after a morning of good hunting.A trigger under his belly causes him to slash with his claws. He's a charismatic dinosaur with a cute "menacing" expression and a cool paint job of orange and brown. The designs on his body add flavor to him.

On Slasher's back is a saddle for a cave man figure to ride. The included cave man and accessories are just as cool as Slasher is.He's a tribal figure who carries a spear. He's got some great posability in the arms, and his hands do a great job of grasping items. He's got that Imaginext quality that made the pirate and medieval figures so cool.

Slasher and his cave-man buddy are durable and constructed from soft plastic. This is a really nice dinosaur action figure and a great addition to the Imaginext collection. My verdict:thumbs way up! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars 3 Years and still running!
Grandpa & Grandma bought our 2 year old this jeep for his birthday. That was 3 years ago next month. We were thrilled it was a two seater so our older son (3 1/2 at the time) could share it.I highly recommend getting a 2 seater - even if you have one child. It hasn't stopped being used in 3 years - by everyone. My kids, the neighbors, cousins all love it.

Six months ago we had to purchase another battery (...) but overall felt we got a lot of use out of the original battery. We just noticed that the 2 back tires are beginning to wear out.You can realistically expect a couple of years worth of wear.It is a toy.It is made of plastic. And kids (at least my boys) love being on the rough side with it.

The kids love it so much We're considering purchasing two new vehicles next month for birthdays (and retiring our present jeep). They are WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best battery vehicle ever!
I got this jeep for my son's first birthday, and he is just about to turn 2, he loves it! He will be able to enjoy it for a long time!

5-0 out of 5 stars My son LOVES his jeep!
Very easy for 2 adults to assemble. Took my husband and I about 45 minutes. The hardest part was waiting the 18 hours for the battery to be charged to watch my son enjoy his new toy! A word of advice, assemble and charge battery BEFORE giving to your child as a gift! We've had the jeep for 5 months now and it is extremely durable. HE loves to pick up his friend down the street and take him for a ride. He always puts the seatbelt on before driving it, and makes sure any passenger does the same. My only complaint is that it is difficult to steer. My son is just now learing to steer. The steering is very tight, and my son just wasn't strong enough to turn it. He is on the young side for this toy, so it's not really a problem. I definitly recommend this jeep. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars BEEP BEEP!!
It is acute toy to play with for the kids....on the noise level-it is rather on the loud side-and sometimes annoying, especially when it says VA VA VAROOOOM BUM BUM BUM VAROOOM(in an annoying womans voice) overall it is a fun toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars TOO CUTE!!!
I just got this in the mail today; a Christmas gift for our daughter. And what little I could play with it without taking it out of the package is just too cute!!!Looks like it will hold up just as well as the house we have already.I can't wait for Christmas so we can play with this. I was able to get it at Kmart.com if you are having trouble locating one.

4-0 out of 5 stars daughter's first little people toy

Editorial Review

Budding young pastry chefs can get some early training in the culinary arts with this pretend kitchen. Kids can make, bake, and decorate toy goodies in this workstation, which includes a refrigerator, overhead pantry, and side storage for ingredients; a stovetop with burners and knobs and an oven for cooking treats; and a sink for cleaning up. The magic oven appears to actually "bake" the seven different sweets that come with the kitchen by changing their color when "cooked." Kids can refer to the built-in cookbook to see what treats should look like before and after baking. An icing bag with a soft tip lets kids decorate their masterpieces after they come out of the oven. Other vital kitchen accessories in the set include a mixing bowl, a baking dish, two serving plates, a potholder, a pitcher, two water goblets, a spatula, a fork, a spoon, a whisk, a cake stand, four cake toppers, cake mix, a milk carton, an egg, and a phone. The oven operates on three D batteries (not included). --Cristina Vaamonde ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars We love our Sweet Magic Kitchen!
My daughter loves her kitchen. We got it for her this last Christmas just a couple months after her having turned 2. I decided to get it when I saw it on sale at KMart for $35 compared to the $90 I could get it for at my local ToysRUs. My husband put it together and says it wasn't too bad to put together. There were a few things he didn't like, but it still went together and is sturdy. My daughter is still a little short for it, but she has so much fun. It's light and easy to move, so I can move it into the kitchen and she can cook with me - which she loves! She has stood and sat on the over door numerous times without any breaks at all. It doesn't stay closed very easily, but she doesn't care and she's figured out the knack for keeping it closed. The only time the ice tray leaks as the ice is melting is when I over-fill it. My solution is to fill it about 2/3 full and let it sit on the counter on a towel for 10 minutes or so to make sure any excess water drips out before being frozen to the inside of the tube areas which is where I also found leaks coming from. We use rechargable batteries and have had no problems what so ever with the batteries or music.

Over all, this is a great kitchen and I love the price I found on it. I probably would not have paid the full price for it because I hardly ever pay full price for anything. My friends kids love it as well. Our Sweet Magic Kitchen is a huge hit and I'm very glad we bought it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Favorite toy in our household
Haven't had any of the problems described in the other reviews. Specifically the oven door stays shut, music still plays, and accessories and kitchen look great. If you children are into baking sweet things, haven't seen a cuter small kitchen out there.

4-0 out of 5 stars Better than I expected!
I'd been looking for a kitchen for my two year old, and found this one on clearance for $35 (kmart). It's a little cuter (read: pinker) than what I wanted, but at that price I didn't really care. The ones we were looking at were in the $100+ price range.
Before we put it together, I checked out the reviews here, and almost took it back to the store without even opening it. We decided to give it a try, though, and put it together anyway. It went together pretty quickly, and my daughter has been playing with it for about a month now without anything breaking. Actually, the reason I thought about writing this review is because I just looked over and saw her standing on the oven door, and it didn't break (Which I completely expected it to do the first time she did that.) My daughter never saw any commercials for it, so she doesn't know about the color change feature, and after reading the reviews about the water dripping as it melted, I wasn't in any hurry to try it out. It's fun without that, though. She likes to "cook" her cookies, then use the pot holder to take them out and put them in the fridge to cool off (like we do with her food when it's too hot!)
I probably wouldn't be as happy with this kitchen if I'd paid full price for it, but at $35 I think it was a good deal. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't fit Carseat
This toy by fisher price is just adorable unfortunately I returned it to the store because I bought it for the car seat and on the back of the package it shows a fisher price car seat which is no longer made and I have a feeling that the handle on those car seats are alot smaller so the toy would fit on an older car seat not ones currently on the market especially graco brand which is what we have for our baby. I gave it 3 stars just because it is cute and if you manage to find somewhere to hook it then you can actually use the toy. Maybe once my baby arrives I'll buy it again if she shows interest in it but since I couldn't use it on the carseat or our crib I opted to return it for now. I love fisher price items but they should have test marketed on other brands because alot of people are unhappy with this item.

4-0 out of 5 stars Another favorite in our house
This is a great toy.My baby loves to sit and coo at it.I couldn't get this to fit on our car seat (an evenflow car seat), so I attached it to the bar on our changing table.Well, she just loves to stare at it and talk to it while we change her. When she gets a little older, I will attach it to the front of her stroller, but for now it is her changing table buddy!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't fit the carseat
This goldfish toy does not fit the carseat. Not safely anyway. When I do manage to get it wrapped around the handle, it hangs down in my son's face. He does like to play with it on the floor. We don't take it with us anywhere. I don't know about other car seat toys on the market, but we are looking and we read the reviews before purchasing. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Dora the Explorer would never think of setting out on an expedition without her trusty backpack, and chances are that any kid who gets hold of this hard-plastic backpack will feel the same. It features the same cheerful expression and, at the press of a button, it says one of four different upbeat lines or sings the "Backpack Song," which chances are your child already knows by heart. The sound is awfully loud, so parents may wish to have an artfully arranged piece of tape ready for muting purposes. Rounding out the ensemble are Dora-themed bracelet, camera, magnifying glass, and binoculars. While none of these accessories actually work, like the backpack in which they all fit, they're quite charming. --Charlie Williams ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Fun, but definitely not perfect.
I bought this for my two year old daughter last weekend. She is a huge Dora fan and she was very excited about it. She plays with it a lot, but she can't get the binoculars, etc. out of the backpack without my help. The bracelet also doesn't stay on her wrist very well. I don't really understand why they didn't put straps on the backpack either, but my daughter really doesn't seem to mind. Overall she really seems to be enjoying the toy, but it could have been designed better.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not worth it!
I purchased this toy for my 2 year old.The box says 2+ for age recommendation. She loves Dora and was quite excited until she was unable to place the pieces in the backpack easily and she could not manage to get them out without help. She immediatley wanted to put it on her back and wear it but there are no straps.Overall, this toy is a bust and will be returned.

4-0 out of 5 stars 2 yr. old loves it!
My daughter received this as a gift on her 2nd birthday. She loves taking the objects in and out of the backpack.I often find her walking around the house "taking pictures" with the camera or looking out a window through the binoculars. She's not a Dora fan, but the items have lent themselves nicely to imaginative play.I'm not sure why the backpack is hard plastic and doesn't have any straps. My daughter doesn't seem to mind. ... I justbought this kitchen for my three year old daughter and she loves it, but the best part about it is when she is done playing I can store it away in the closet or cabinets, ect. ect. unlike the huge child size kitchens that take up so much space. It is a perfect size for her american girl doll and Barbie kelly baby doll.works great for us and I just went today and bought the washer dryer combo and the food sets. We love it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun playtime ahead
My daughter received this for her 3rd birthday and absolutely adores it.She has so much fun with the accessories, ponies and Haley. The other ponies in the series work well with the barn's talking features. The barn is big enough to house 4 ponies and all their gear but not so big that you can't put it up to store when not in use.It seems very sturdy and well made.Overall we are very pleased with the purchase and would recommend this highly.

5-0 out of 5 stars Daughter "Haley" loves this....

My 3 year old daughter wanted these skates to take to the beach this spring so I bought them for her.She absolutely loves them. What is suprising is how well she does in them. She has a pair of the Barbie First Skates and wanted something different. If the child knows how to skate somewhat well these will do okay. These skates are not for a beginner skater as the wheels roll in both directions.I suggest that the parent not buy these if the child doesn't already know how to skate.

3-0 out of 5 stars I just noticed
I was looking for some skates for my three year old son. He always wants to put mine on and I want to get him a pair that fits him. Why is there only girl orientated skates? Where are the little boy styles? I don't think I'll bother with the store if they're not even on the website. Do you know what I mean?

I rated everything a three because I do not own these, my son has not tried them, and I have to rate them in order to comment. They may in fact be better than a three star rating.

2-0 out of 5 stars Stick with Lego or Playmobil
The pictures and concept are very enticing, but stick to Lego and Playmobil for durability. The Imaginext set we purchased was hard for a 6yr old to assemble. The pieces don't stay together easily, so right now it is in pieces all over the floor. Not much fun for the 6-yr old in the long run and not fun for Mom!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Now this is cool!
This is really cool.I like it a lot. It's a great-looking toy that's jam-packed with action features and versatility.

The scene is a small dragon's lair, home to a red dragon and his goblin friend.Features include an opening gate, a smaller gate in the back, a trap door that can drop someone into the dungeon, and a rocky dragon head sculpture that drops flaming boulders on intruders. There's also a nest where the dragon can perch while keeping watch over his domain.

The set piece is comprised of interlocking pieces that snap together.Rock formations, walls, and floorboard pieces are all designed to fit together in numerous ways.Constructing your own variation is as simple as coming up with an idea.Assembly instructions are easy to follow. It just took a few moments to examine the various pieces and the ways they fit together, and I got the hang of it.Accessories include decorative railings, some torches, a tree, a well, and numerous tree branches, all of which can be moved around and placed in different spots on the structure.

The dragon's lair looks great and has some nice detail in the rock formations, railings, and accessories. The completely assembled set piece is durable and can be moved around without falling apart. The pieces themselves are solid.Durable and attractive. This is a quality toy that sports great craftsmanship.

The dragon is posable (movable arms, legs, wings) and can shoot large, flat fireball projectiles.Load them into his back and push the trigger on his tail to fire away.Hitting the target on the dragon head sculpture opens its mouth, releasing fireballs to fall on intruders below. The dragon can sit in his nest, or he can stand on it (his feet fit onto some pegs on the nest).

Also included is a goblin figure. This guy is really cool. He's got some good posability in the arms and a great look about him (nice expression on the face). He comes with a helmet, shield, and three weapons (an axe, a halberd, and a staff). His hands can grasp all of the items.I haven't had any problems with weapons falling out of his hands. They did a great job of designing this guy.I like him a lot.

All you need are some more figures to liven the place up a bit.I went out and got Dextrus, Enchantra, and the Minotaur to keep my goblin company. This set also works nicely when combined with Bravemore Castle.King Bravemore can battle the goblin while his roc squares off with the dragon.

For the target audience, this toy probably provides loads of fun, especially because it can be built and re-built in different configurations and it's 100% compatible with other Imaginext toys (Bravemore Castle, Dragomont's Fortress, pirates).I had a great time assembling it and playing around with it.And it can be easily stored. When you're done playing around with it, just take it apart and store the pieces in the box they came in (or a toy box).Building it up again is a snap.

Attractive.Durable.Looks great. What's not to like?My verdict:thumbs way up.This dragon and his goblin buddy got me hooked on Imaginext.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dragons WHOOOO HOOOO!
All right!!My family LOVES this part of the set - we have almost the entire collection (Glow in the dark Pirate stuff we haven't found yet) and this is one of our favorite additions.

We have girls (3) and boys (3) aged from 3 to 37 years.(Mom and Dad play too!)Our toddler loves the dragon, our 2nd grader loves the stone dragon, our 'tweens' love the pieces that add more details (nice rock formations), and Mom & Dad love that everybody can play.

This stuff is sturdy, can be taken apart and made again or combined with the other castle pieces to make a bigger castle or in our case four different battle stations! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars This is an o.k. baby doll but not the best
Someone gave this to my daughter when she was close to a year old. She still has it, and she is 3...so it lasts through lots of play, but the person who said the rattle is too heavy is right! Also, I would not recommend this for small babies or even those who are under the age of 2 who are putting things in their mouths...I had to put it up for a while because of that, and then when she was older, it was much better for her.

2-0 out of 5 stars Owwww!
That is one hard rattle! And it really makes a knock when it hurts your baby's head! No lie, that thing is heavy and if they pick it up it will nail them.

Plus, I think the doll needs more stuffing or something. It's weird how it's head is empty and you just feel the plastic face.

I would say they should change the age range to begin at 12 months when a baby is less likely to hurt herself.

2-0 out of 5 stars Watch that Rattle!Way too heavy for this doll
We bought this for our infant at about 8 months old.I cannot tell you how many times that darn rattle hit her in the head.It isn't a "cuddly" doll at all.The rattle also unbalances the doll making it hard to hold.Cute doll overall, but they should get rid of that rattle or possibly replace it with a soft-side style rattle - not that hard 5 lb. rattle. You may be better off getting the gund "first baby" it is soft all over.

5-0 out of 5 stars Spike the Stegosaurus
Dinosaurs are the coolest thing that ever happened to Imaginext. While the pirate and medieval themes are cool, this prehistoric theme takes the prize for ultra coolness. The premise here is simple enough.Predators versus non-predators.Carnivores versus herbivores.

Spike the Stegosaurus is one of the good guys. He's a pretty good action figure, sporting posable legs and a head that moves back and forth.A button on his left side causes his spiked tail to whip back and forth.Spike is just as charismatic as the rest of the Imaginext dinosaurs, with a cute expression on his reptilian face.He sports a nice paint job of light green and purple, and some nice designs on his body that add flavor to him.

Spike doesn't have a saddle for a rider. The spikes on his back prevent this.Nevertheless, a cave man figure is included. He's a tribal guy who carries prehistoric weapons. He has some great posability in the arms, and his hands do a great job of grasping items.I haven't had any problems with items falling out of his hands.

Spike and his cave-man buddy are durable and constructed from soft plastic. The spikes on the stegosaurus's back and tail are rounded at the ends (no sharp points). This is a cute dinosaur action figure and a nice addition to the Imaginext collection. My verdict:thumbs way up!Spike is cool! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Great for the imagination
This toy is great for young children's imaginations and creativity. The story book is short and simple, perhaps by too much, but I guess that leaves more room for imaginary play. The pieces seem to be durable and my five year old has no difficulty putting the pieces together. She really enjoys making new animal creations out of them. The pieces are, however, tough for a just-turned-3 year old to put together. She still enjoys playing with the creations once they have been assembled.
Overall, this toy provides a lot of creative fun for kids. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars My 21 month old loves it!
We got this as a gift from a friend with a daughter the same age as ours. I didn't think she would like it but she absolutely LOVE IT! It is the only toy that she plays with everyday. She got it at 18 months and still plays with it daily! She needs help but is getting better and will soon be able to play with it on her own.

1-0 out of 5 stars Too difficult for a 2 year to use and it has a funny smell
I was really disappointed with this toy.It looked so cute in the package. It is too hard for a two year old to use.I even have some difficulty plugging the pieces into the holes.

It also has an odd smell - almost unbearable.I'm wondering if anybody has had the same experience.

3-0 out of 5 stars I'd recommend it!
I bough this for my son for Christmas. He is 22 Months old and if a hugh Elamo fan.He really loves the toy. However, I have to agree with the other review that this toy needs constant supervision. It is tricky for little hands and fingers to actually put the parts in the little holes. So we save this toy toplay with when Mom or Dad can play too! ...
