Editorial Review

What's the No. 1 group dance for the pre-school set? Hint: it's not the "Electric Slide" or "Cotton-Eyed Joe." You guessed it, and so did Elmo: the "Hokey Pokey." Though Elmo doing the "Slide" would be a sight to see, he masters the Pokey quite convincingly, to the probable delight of his toddling fans. After loading his foot with four "AA" batteries, press his hand and he performs the popular jig. He sticks out both his right hand and foot, shakes his body all about, then smoothly spins in place, thanks to a rotating platform under one foot. Elmo even spices up the beat, and sporadically speeds up the action; both innovations crank up the fun factor. The only downside: he was de-plushed, presumably because of all the mechanisms needed to help him dance and maintain balance. The result, still, is an impressive performance. He's just not very cuddly. --Diane Beall ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars oh my gosh!!!
Can we say neverstop!! - she ran this thing into the ground!! played with it alllll the time and still does - highly recommend

5-0 out of 5 stars My todler loves it!
I bought this for my son about two months ago. And I believe I must have gotten the most durable one. My 20 month old son was only dancing with him the first two weeks, until he discover that it's more fun to squeeze him, while he shakes, then throw him against the floor or wall. So far it has been over a month, and the Elmo is still singing, dancing, and saying oops or thank you. I would recomend this toy to any one.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good times for kids
My 2 year old has this and loves it. He's already a huge fan of Elmo, so I'm sure that helps. The toy itself is rather neat since it pretty much does the hokey pokey. Elmo puts in his hand in, his leg in and he shakes all about, then he turns around in a circle. Doesn't work so good on carpet, better on smooth surfaces. The sound it good and lucky for us parents, the song doesn't last too long. If you tip him upside down he says "whoopsie!", and something about needing to be turned back upright. Cute toy. My son thinks Elmo is dancing with him. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Not that great
We just received this bouncer as a shower gift. Although I registered for this based on the reviews,I am not impressed. It is very cute to look at, however the vibration feature is loud. It actually vibrates the little bird and makes a loud noise. I do not care for the music it plays either. With out using the toy bar I am sure this would be a fine seat but, I am willing to bet there are better ones out there.

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT SEAT FOR THE MONEY
We received this seat as a gift 1 month ago when our daugher Sophia was 1 month old. She loved it right away. One thing I found was she cries sometimes when I put the music on. But this being my 3rd daughter reminded me that sometimes they look away from their toys and get overstimulated and can't handle too much noise or too much to look at.I learned that the hard way with my middle daughter. So when she cries I take off the toy part and she quickly falls asleep. This is our first Fisher Price seat and the least expensive seat we have ever had but the best performance wise and it is so cute to look at! I just bought it for a friend's first baby.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Bouncer To Have
I received this as a shower gift and I am ever so grateful that I did. My 2 week old daughter loves it. I have been putting her in it since she came home from the hosptial and the only problem I have had with it was that her head sometimes falls over to the side so I use a head support and its fine. She loves the vibration and I have no problems at all getting her to sit in it. She will fall asleep faster in her bouncer than she will in her crib with the mobile going. I dont think she old enough yet to care that there is music and rattles attached even though I can sit her in it and she will listen to the sounds and music she is not interested in the rattles or birdy just yet. She has not seemed to have a problem with the vibration being too much for a newborn and I dont think the motor is all that loud. I feel this is a wonderful item and would highly recommed it. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy
I had read a lot of reviews on this toy. My husband and I purchased this for our 4 year old daughter. It took us awhile to finally decide. What a great toy and made very well. The battery last very long. I just let her play with it and the end of the day we take in the battery and recharge it. She loves it! It does spin wheels are certain surfaces, but she has figure it out back and it up a little and move forward again. We are glad that we decided to get it and it made her birtday complete.

4-0 out of 5 stars go go power-wheels, Power-wheels power makes 'em go!
We love this truck, my daughter just got this Barbie Jeep for her 3rd Birthday and she is just thrilled with her new toy. Assembly was a bit more work then the reviews made it out to be. My first thought was to let the store put it together but after reading the reviews on this website that said it was "quick+easy" my husband and I decided to give it a try. It took about two hours (we took a few break's.)
We took our daughter to abig field where she could practice her steering and get a feel for the gas pedal.
This toy also has great developmental benefits such as eye-hand & eye-foot coordination. It also helps to stimulate their imagination.

5-0 out of 5 stars great fun for all kids
I loved this jeep it fit's two kid's witch is great so if your child has a friend over they will not feel left out my daughter drive's her 2yr ols brother around in this jeep all the time they drive it every wher. Editorial Review

This gentle, whimsical toy provides gentle stimulation and interactive play for a baby or toddler. There are three balls, each with a different colored fish inside, that the child can place inside the fishbowl, prompting soft music and happy, bubbly sound effects. The music and sounds also play when the balls are moved around inside the bowl. The unit has a rounded bottom so it can be gently rocked, and there are two volume settings; a feature parents are sure to appreciate. Requires 3 AA batteries (included). --David Stoesz ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A big hit - for a long time.
I admit I was skeptical when my Mom bought this for my then 5-month-old daughter (sorry Mom, if you're reading this!).But my daughter took a shine to it right away, laughing at the music, watching the sparkly "water" slosh around, and moving the balls around. She continued to play with it up until she was about 18 mos old or so, almost every day. As her motor skills improved she found more and more things to do with it - spin the aquarium around by herself, shake it to see what happens, try to throw or roll the balls into the aquarium...I was really surprised at all of the different ways she found to play with this toy. Great call, Mom! I strongly recommend this toy for other parents.

3-0 out of 5 stars Premie twins mom review of fish bowl
Overall this toy is quite durable, but the balls are on the heavy side along with the extra bubbler that came with the fish bowl. I have twins who run on the smaller side, so it may be a couple more months before they would be comfortable playing with the toy. The music and lights are great and they enjoy watching and listening. thanks

5-0 out of 5 stars Who knew that a fishtank would be so interesting!? :)
I have 2 sets of twins, 3 year old b/g and 8 month old b/b. We also have MANY pets (2 dogs, a cat, and fish). My kids just LOVE looking at the fish tank so someone bought this for us as a joke, but my kids LOVED it!! My 8 month olds love rolling the balls and putting them in the bowl. The 3 year olds love to sort of throw them in the bowl, (not recomended, but as long as the babies aren't around I dont hassle them too much :) ). They all love this toy and I had to go out and buy another one, (I cant have ALL four of them playing with it at once!)This toy is NEVER in the toy box, because someone is always playing with it! My 8 month olds are actually really in love with the turtle, while the 3 year olds love the pink fish! I think they like the bubbles better than the music (because thats what "the real fishies) do!) I love the aquarium toys (we have the crib ones too) and I love fisher price. Your kids will LOOOOVVVVEEEEE this too! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Gets better with age
My baby got this as a newborn, but was not interested in it until 3 months. As a newborn she would hit the lever to get the bird out and the music would scare her, she spent a lot of time crying while using this toy!Now that she is over 3 months, she likes the music and loves to look at the mirror.I hang other linkadoos from the flower and she loves to pull at them.We have never had a problem with the house falling out, it is buttoned pretty securely, nor has she ever gotten any body part stuck in it.I like this toy and she enjoys it at this age, but if I had to do it again, I would probably get one of the Tiny Love Gyms that hold more interest for newborns.I registered for this because I didn't want anyone to spend $60 on the Tiny Love mat I originally wanted.I thought the red white and black one would be too boring, come to find out my baby gets over-stimulated by music and lights so the basic mat would have been perfect.Get to know your baby first, then decide which mat would suit their interests.

4-0 out of 5 stars My sons loves this
My son loves this.He tries to see himself in the mirror and loves grabbing the animals. He gets so excited when he realizes he makes the music.

5-0 out of 5 stars great toy

Editorial Review

Guess what! Dora the Explorer has jumped on the royal bandwagon! This intrepid explorer is now a fairy tale princess with magical hair that grows when the jewel in her crown is pressed with a wand. Dora talks and sings, too, in both English and Spanish: "Vamanos! Let's go to fairytale land! Will you brush my hair?" The 14-inch-tall plastic doll is not designed to be cuddled so much as played with and groomed. She is attired in a satiny yellow gown trimmed in pink and purple, and has a brush, barrettes, and magic wand. The magical tresses emerging from the hair-growing tube are quite realistic, although grownups, at least, might be a little unnerved at the sleek brown hair oozing in and out of Dora's head. Still, children are experts at suspending disbelief and accepting weirdness in the world, so they probably won't mind a bit. Four AA batteries required (included). --Emilie Coulter ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Not as happy as I thought!!!!
We bought this for our daughter Brittney (39 months), she wanted it so bad, then after a few days she just stopped playing with it. I don't think she's into the hair brushing and that sort of play just yet. She still loves dora's house, and her other dora dolls which include star catching dora, cowboy dora, buenas noched dora, magic surprise dora and some other ones.

5-0 out of 5 stars A review for my Sister
The first day my sister ever saw this item, she wanted it for her birthday, but she got it for Christmas. Thanks to our best friend, Pat, now living at Bethel Retirement Home. When my sister got this, she thought that Dora looked cute in the box. My sister really likes the song that Dora sings. One time, my sister combed Dora's hair too much and too hard. Then it didn't work. My father fixed it on the day he got batteries for my MindMania Spelling Clip. Last, my sister doesn't play with Dora oftenly. Dora uses 4 "AA" batteries (included.)- Cristian and Alejandra Mojica.

4-0 out of 5 stars 3 yr old likes maybe too much
Dora is still doing okay considering what she has been through since Christmas. Her pretty hair do was taken out of its rubber bands fairly quickly. She has gotten an unrequested hair cut, luckly not much was cut because I caught my daughter in the act.She gets played with somewhat often even by visiting children.I do sometimes have to take Dora away when the kids start fighting over her.She doesn't look as good as new anymore, but well loved. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Broke within 1 week
I bought this toy for my son.The toy broke within 1 week. The pond sticks and keeps saying the same thing over and over again, the blocks, when put into place, sing the same song, one short verse, over and over again.Unfortunately, the little birds get stuck saying the same things as well.It wasn't worth the money for us.My son does like the shapes though.Hope this is helpful as a lot of reviews have been for me.Thanks.

5-0 out of 5 stars Another toy my baby loves
My daughter received this when she was 7 and a half months old, and still plays with it every day at over a year old. She lves the bee that circles around- I hear "bzzzzzzz...bzzzzzz...bzzzzzzz" quite often! She also loves to "splash" and hear the numbers (you press the "water" and the toy counts up to ten, one number at a time, each time you press it)....she also loves pressing the birds and hearing the baby and mommy bird talk to each other- they each say 3 phrases. You can also switch from learning mode to music mode.

My baby plays with this toy a lot and the batteries seem to last a long time for all that she plays with it, I'm not replacing batteries all that often. She likes this toy better than some other ones that are bigger and do more amazing things.

It seems like at over a year old, she is going to continue to play with this toy for awhile, so that gets the Seal of Approval from me, like I always say, read my other reviews, I have a Big Thing about getting my money's worth out of toys, and skipping over toys that will lose baby's interest in a short period of time. I like that my baby has played with this toy every day for 5 months and still loving it. For example, she played with her Dancing Bandstand for about a week before she got bored with it, and never goes to it any more.

5-0 out of 5 stars Toy with lasting value!
I got this toy when my baby could sit up and boy, did she love it! She smacked that water so many times, she couldn't get enough it. She liked to pull out the "flowers" and bite them, bang them together, throw them, you name it.

She then learned to walk shortly after buying it and I thought the toy would get no more use. But now she has learned to put the shapes back into the holes and loves to dance to the music.

It is also so sturdy, she sometimes picks it up and walks with it. And we've only changed the batteries once in 5 months. LOVE IT! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars What a life saver!
We bought this for our son when he was 3 months old because we were having trouble putting him to sleep in his crib at night. He loved it! We would do our nightly routine of reading a book, and then I would turn this on, lay him down and he would watch it until he drifted off to sleep. He's now 6 months old, and he still loves it.

5-0 out of 5 stars a goodnight sleep
I have to say that not only does my baby love this but the whole family does too. We will get ready for bed and turn the lights off and turn on the sounds and light projector and have our nightly dancing session with baby and my two older kids before laying him down. once baby is down my self, hubby and my girls would lay in bed looking at the adorable pictures move across the ceiling. It's a nice way of even getting our two older kids to clam down as well. a little dance, lay on bed and watch the lights and kids are off to their beds calm and soothed.

5-0 out of 5 stars A LIFESAVER!
My 3 month old daughter is addicted to this.It is a lifesaver when I can't get her to take a nap.She actually thrusts her head back to look at the ceiling the minute we walk into her bedroom because she's looking for the birdies!Well worth the money. ... Read more

My husband drives a motorcycle, and our son loves to "ride." We happened upon this motorcycle in Toys R Us, and we could not leave the store without buying it! I took the model down to see if it was not too big, and he screamed the moment we took him off. I had everyone in the store looking at me!!! Fisher-Price has produced a dream dollhouse with all of thecharm of a decorative Victorian townhouse plus the realistic modernfeatures of electronic lights and sounds. The pastel pink faux-stoneexterior unfolds to reveal a spacious six-room interior. In thefloral-tiled kitchen, the refrigerator and the oven light up, and thetelephone rings. In the bedroom, the fireplace glows and makes acrackling sound. When the terrace doors are opened, kids hear birdssinging in the garden. The house comes with an array of furniture andaccessories, plus Mom, Dad, and little girl figures, two beds withbedding, chairs, window boxes, potted plants, and a hope chest, just toname a few. 5-0 out of 5 stars Townhouse is a great investment
I bought the Townhouse for my 2 1/2 yr old.I read all the reviews before hand to help decide between this or the Sweet Sounds.I am very pleased we chose the roomy Townhouse without the recorded voice sounds that I believe would have been annoying after a while. My daughter and her older cousins can easily spend hours playing with it.I found it to be plenty durable and have had no problems with the wiring (I picked mine up at the store in lieu of shipping). The only neg comments I have are that it seemed a bit pricy and if you don't have a Toysrus nearby, the accessories are very limited at other stores.I was very happy though with the amount of accessories that came with the Townhouse, which made the $20 difference from the Sweet Dreams house worth paying.I love hearing my daughters imagination at work with this toy and would highly recommend it to others.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best dollhouse choice for ages 1 and above!!!!
As much as I LOVE Playmobil, I think Fisher Price outdid them on this one....I debated and debated and researched all the possiblities and finally decided on this dollhouse.I decided against the Playmobil Victorian House and the Playmobil Fairy Tale Castle due to the toy store saying that there were a lot of pieces that come apart with the Playmobil models, as where with this Fisher Price model, it was one piece. My daughter was 2 when we bought this dollhouse for her. She is now almost 5 and still loves it. She has gotten a lot of use out of it.Her 8 year old cousin has gotten a lot of use out of it.Her 3 year old brother loves it and her 1 year old sister loves it.We bought accersory sets, as well. All of which are little child friendly.I have to say, this set came with a lot more than the Playmobil sets. You have to buy nearly all of the accessory parts with Playmobil. However, this past Christmas, our daughter asked for the Playmobil Castle. Since she really liked her Playmobil people etc., we thought okay we'll try it.What a mistake and money waste that was!!!I sat there for over 3 hours with my husband putting this thing together. She loved it on Christmas morning and that was about it.Fast forward a few months, I went down to the playroom to spend sometime playing with the kids.I asked my daughter if she wanted to play with the castle. No, I want to play with the dollhouse, she says.So we go over to the dollhouse and play with it once again (with a Playmobil cat).Meanwhile, my youngest daughter, the one year old, is over there taking apart the castle. To make a long story short,GET A DOLLHOUSE THAT IS ONE PIECE!!!You will not regret it.Only an adult can keep putting the Playmobil ones back together.Who has the time to do that, much less deal with the frustrated child who gets upset that it keeps coming apart.I love the Fisher Price model.I love the realistic furniture, people and accessories. You will love it, too....

3-0 out of 5 stars Buyer beware
My daughters got this dollhouse and the Loving Family Dollhouse for Christmas this year.I liked this one more for a few reasons (more furniture included, bigger floorplan, etc., cute and not annoying sounds like the other one, etc); however, after a month of use this dollhouse is breaking down.I've already had to glue some of the backing back on the dollhouse. The wiring is all messed up - when you push the fireplace, nothing happens, the stove now activates the fireplace, the phone rings when the doorbell is pushed.I've tried time and time again to get ahold of someone at Fisher Price. They just have a recording that tells you to call back - how convinient for them!!!After two weeks of trying relentlessly to get ahold of them, they told me switch out the batteries - THIS DOES NOT WORK!!!Now I can't get ahold of them again.I now longer have the box - it is a huge box and most people throw it out after assemnbling the house. If you are buying this house -KEEP THE BOX - you may have to return it within a few weeks. Also, if you can get a hold of someone at Fisher Price, don't hang up before getting another solution other than replacing the batteries.Like I said, it doesn't work and you'll likely have a hard time getting a rep on the phone again. If your daughter doesn't mind not having the lights and sounds, this a great dollhouse, but if she is looking forward to using all the features that you are paying top dollar for, keep in mind that you may need to exchange the house within the first month or two of use - keep that receipt and box handy! ... There's lots to see, hear, and do with this toy that willfoster the developmental skills of a toddler. When little ones push oneof the five plastic balls through the hole at the top of this tower, lights flash and music plays. From there the ball travels down a spiralpath all the way to the bottom--unless your toddler chooses to redirectit with the dial on the side of the ramp. Some babies will simply enjoywatching the ball swirl down the ramp. But as babies get a bitolder, they will also be able to observe and anticipate the actionof the balls and realize that their actions have an effect onwhere the balls go. How cool is that? For a toddler, very cool! Onedrawback to this toy is that it probably isn't sturdy enough or heavyenough for babies or toddlers to use it to pull themselves from asitting to a standing position, though the "Pull-up" portion of thename implies that's possible. There's plenty more to do with this toy,so that is only a minor consideration. ... Read more

My son loved this toy from the time he had it.He got it for his first birthday, and he is now 3 & 1/2 and still looks for this toy to play with.My problem with it, is that the top red ring never stays on.It's constantly falling off, and I am so sick and tired of putting it back together every five minutes!I finally hid it in the basement, even though my son loves it so much.I have twin infants at home and just do not have the time to keep putting this back together!I do think it would easily tip over on a child using it to "pull up".Although, my son was already walking by the time he got this toy, and so he didn't use it in that fashion.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun toy for baby
I thought this was great toy for my twin girls. It is interactive and it holds their attention for quite awhile. My only "beef"with this toy is that it can be prone to tipping over. My girls haven't had any spills as of yet (knock on wood) but I can see where there is potential for a few. I think this toy will be a favorite for awhile with them and if anything the plastic balls that come with it are certainly entertaining for them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent for Soon to be Toddlers!!
I got this for my son because he was not walking as he should (He didn't walk til 18 months). This was an amazing toy to encourage him to start standing and keeping his balance as he put the balls in the top. I know they do not market it as something to help kids stand but it is made very well and is durable enough to handle new toddlers. It is fun and kids of all age have loved it at my home. The music makes it exciting. Great buy!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy!!
I got this for my daughter when she was 2 and she loved it!! She played with it for a whole year before getting tired of it, but she had outgrown it by the time she was 3. It helped her learn her colors, and animals and the sounds that they make.
I also loved the songs it played....and she enjoyed all the questions......it really makes them think and challenges them, going on to harder ones after a bit.I highly recommend this!

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun and educational--a winner!
We gave this to our daughter when she was 12.5 months old and she has been intrigued with it since day one! She now is 17 months old and plays with it every day.

What we love
*lots of animals--a huge help in teaching her the names of animals
*fun accessories like the windmill and scarecrow
*pieces to add on to the outside for when she gets older (right now we store those seperately)

What we don't like
*no silo (like when we were kids!) to store extra pieces in
*the music is LOUD and there is no volume control

Overall this is another great Little People product and we are happy with our purchase.

Editorial Review

The New Aquarium monitor does more than just offer a measure of protection to your baby while she sleeps; it also enhances the overall sleeping environment. First, it registers every sound in the room through a 5-light display (two channels cut back on static for parents). It also works to sooth Baby--who may be the noise-maker--by instantly projecting a serene, underwater scene on the ceiling, accompanied by soothing, familiar lullabies and sounds. Other features include an AC adapter to save on batteries (2, AA), and a belt clip for parents. --Diane Beall ... Read more

  • Monitor base plays music and projects a display of underwater fish friends on the ceiling

1-0 out of 5 stars Great concept but a huge waste of time and money.
I bought this for my 6th child thinking what a great idea, something that will respond to the baby crying and allow me to hear at the same time. What a joke I have only had it for about 5 weeks and the light show died after 3 weeks, it would shine but not turn now the bulb is dead as well. Good old customer support says you must have the monitor in hand in order to troubleshoot the problem. Just what I have time for standing around holding the monitor while juggling an infant and dealing with a 2,4 and 6 year old. Don't bother with this product Great concept but a huge waste of time and money.

2-0 out of 5 stars NICE light show BAD reception
Nice light show but awful reception!!Can't hear baby crying full lungs unless I'm standing right next to the monitor, which doesn't help if you have a noisy house already!Definitely would NOT buy again, and we are having to contact Fisher Price now hoping to get a replacement monitor sent... since we already threw away packaging.Yuck.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not Worth Buying
I bought this thinking I could tackle 2 things at once (the light show and a monitor).I was wrong. The light show is great but the monitor does not work well. You can barely hear if the baby is making any noise and that is with the transmitter and receiver volumes all the way up.I do not recommend it at all. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Builds Dendrites
We gave my son the Jeep Fire Rescue for his 4th birthday. I put it together, about 1.5 hours but easy, even the decals.I was impressed with my son's ability to negotiate curves, speed, switching to reverse and when he needs to, and when to stop.We are working on doing a figure 8 and he is progressing along very well.In the yard or driveway, I think he is building some major dendrites working with this toy.He loves it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Buy
I bought this toy formy grandson at a ToysRUs store-it was only $250 plus tax, and I assembled it. Store wanted $25 to assemble, but I didn't do it to save the money. I did it because it my special gift to him. I did it in the house and trouble getting it outside-lucky my one door is 36" wide and by tilting it, I got it out. It is a heavy well made item. The hardest part was putting on the rear bumper as the holes didn't line up great, and I did it by myself. I also had trouble distinguishing between which screws to use. I bought the extended ToysRUs 1 year warranty, but cancelled it 4 days later when I learned that they believe it only comes with a 3month manufacturer warranty. The truth is that it comes with a full 1 year warranty and 6 months on the battery. In effect the warranty I bought and cancelled would have only extended the manufacturer's by 3 months. My grandson loves the shovel that comes with it. It will take patience to teach him how to drive it. He was using his left foot, looking everywhere but where he was going, didn't always have his hands on the wheel, was playing with the sound buttons, etc. It hurts when your foot is run over, too. He said it was his best special toy ever, and I enjoyed every minute of it. He won't be 3 till May and getting in and out is tough-he grabs the emergency light post to get in, so I worry if that will break. I can't wait to fill up the fire extinguisher for him. Be prepared to get holes in your lawn-he wanted to use that shovel all the time. But all that fun we had for an hour or so was more than worth the money and time I put in.

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth The Money
I just purchased this jeep for my 2 1/2 year old son. He is big for his age & fits into the jeep perfectly. It is much larger than all of the other Jeep's we saw in the store.I cant imagine buying any other Jeep. The kids would out grow the other ones really fast!!

Also, I did get mine on sale. (...) You have the option to have it put together for an extra $20, but we passed. Only took about 30 minutes to put together. Not bad at all. I would strongly recommend that you pick the Jeep up if you can, the shipping charge is ridiculous!

The battery seems to work great. The little light is so cute! He loves to turn it on.

Overall, this is a great buy. You are better off to spend the extra $30 & have a larger Jeep that will last for years!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy
We bought this for our son right around his 3 month birthday to keep at his day care provider's house and he has loved it every minute since then.He loves to bat the rattle and watch it spin around.Having the 2 volume levels is a nice feature. We also have the kick and crawl aquarium at our house but he prefers this one a so if deciding between the two I would pick this one.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good Playmate
The one negative aspect of this toy is the fact that there's absolutely no padding for the baby to lay on. But to solve that problem I put one of my daughters quilt under the cover to make it soft and comfortable for her little body. I find the toys to be in her hands reach and the bright colors and sounds have helped her be more entertained with this toy

1-0 out of 5 stars You are kidding, right?

Editorial Review

Young children have a seemingly infinite capacity for exploration, investigating everything thoroughly and relentlessly as they try to learn about their world. While this Fisher-Price set is not likely to fully satisfy that curiosity, nothing ever will, it is likely to keep young kids quite busy and occupied. Eight blocks are included in the set, the clear cubes found in many modern Fisher-Price sets, and they are the key ingredients in the five interactive sides of the cube. There are options to stack the cubes up on a rack and then release them to tumble down with a turn of a lever, put them though holes to initiate perky sounds and flashing lights, and plenty of other fun games that should delight toddlers. Inside the block is room for up to 30 Fisher-Price blocks. There is some cause and effect teaching going on here but, as with all good educational toys, toddlers are not likely to think much about the learning; theyre too busy having fun. --Charlie Williams ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A great all-in-one!
I absolutely love this toy- and so do my two little ones (twin 11 month-olds).We received this as a gift when they were 5 months old & I thought I would die, as it is pretty big & we have a small space. The babies loved it- all the sounds, lights, and the toys are so cute- the babies loved to hold them in their hands and inspect every them. They seemed to learn to sort & stack pretty quickly after recieving this, and seem to learn a new skill every couple of weeks- all with the help of this one big toy.Yes, it's big, but it also means you don't have to buy 4 toys that do what this ONE will.So sturdy- I will have one baby leaning on this on either side & it won't budge (I'm sure it's capable of slipping, but hasn't happenned yet).OH- WE DID PUT SOME GRIP TAPE ON THE BOTTOM OF IT SO THAT IT WOULDN'T SLIDE AROUND ON THE CARPET OR HARD WOOD- MADE FOR AN ALMOST ACCIDENT-FREE TOY BY DOING THIS.WOULD RECCOMEND TO EVERYONE!

4-0 out of 5 stars suprisingly pleased
I bought this toy for my son when he was 8 months old. I was looking for some type of stand up play toy since he was trying to pull up on everything. I was torn between this and a play table. My son has been very happy with it. When I first got it open and we were checking it out I was very disappointed at the lack of activities. It seemed that it really did not do much. I was tempted to take it back. but as I watched my son with it I changed my mind. After all it was for him right? He seemed very entertained and he loves to put his weebles and balls on the spinning thing. I also bought the insurance that came with it. I normally would not do that but I had heard about the problems with the music and lights stopping after only a few months. My son bangs on this thing constantly. WE have not even had to change the batteries yet. He loves this toy. and my 5 year old daughter loves it too. They seem to get alot of enjoyment out of it. I was told you could buy more talking blocks for it but I have not seen them anywhere.

2-0 out of 5 stars peek-a-blocks incrediblock
My 11month old never got interested in it!We would sit in the floor & play w/ it!I would show her the different things it did!
She would loose interest quicly!I think one of the mogor things wrong w/ it is the music is not loud enough to keep there attention! We have it turned all the way up & it still is pretty soft. Her other toys are pretty loud & they keep her playing! The box only has one speaker & it is on the side.So maybe if they put more than one speaker it would be better. ... Fully equipped for looting and plundering across the high seas, this pirate ship sports a massive wooden hull powered forward by six sails, three adorned with skulls and crossbones. Triple-firing cannons lay above and below deck, while a sword-wielding captain commands two crew members. A parrot can rest atop the captain's shoulder. There's also a working wench for hauling up all that misbegotten treasure and a removable dinghy for one-off raids. Other elements include a deployable anchor, a walking plank, and a yellow guard rail that circles the deck. The boat measures over 2 feet long once assembled, and can be put together in several ways, outlined in the accompanying booklet. --Andy Boynton ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars FUN - BUT ONLY IF YOU DON'T ACTUALLY PLAY WITH IT!
I BOUGHT THIS TOY FOR MY 5 YEAR OLD, TOOK A BIT TO PUT IT TOGETHER, AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU WILL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME DOING...PUTTING IT BACK TOGETHER. SO, IF YOUR KIDS DON'T ACTUALLY WANT TO PLAY WITH IT, JUST PUT IT TOGETHER, OVER AND OVER AGAIN, IT'S GREAT. BUT IF THEY ACTUALLY WANT TO HAVE THE "PIRATE ADVENTURE" , IT COMES UP A BIT SHORT.
SAME GOES FOR THE ISLAND.

4-0 out of 5 stars great for imagination
My son got this for xmas and absolutely loves it, we are now moving onto the knights and castle.He(4) and his sister(3) spend hours having pirate wars and finding treasure. GREAT toy, LOTS of little pieces,so just be careful of younger siblings.Would definately recommend to anyone whose interested in pirates.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great 1st timer
We bought this for my daughter's 1st birthday which was yesterday. She loves to climb on and off of it just after 1 day.She can't push the button herself yet but likes for us to push it so she can ride. She did accidently push it once and laughed when it started moving. After she realized the button made it move she pushed it and let off several times and laughed about it.I think she will really enjoy it this summer when she knows how to make it go on her own.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent ride for the money
We purchased this for our 1 year old daughter on her 1st birthday. & she already was able to figure out how to manuever it. I was very impressed by the product for this age group. Reverse might be nice but at this age I dont know that she could figure it out. My only concern is the seat comes off fairly easy if the lock isnt just right. 4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent toy for girls
We opted for this one instead of the classic because I have twins and this one had a ton more room than the classic. Although after I applied the million stickers I seen there was a crack in the house so now I have to return it for a new one. Otherwise it is great the girls love it. I didn't care much about the sounds though because they use their imagination.I would buy it again, I really wish I could afford the Limited edition big one that is huge!Go for it.

2-0 out of 5 stars Where are the furnishings?
I bought this doll house for my daughter over a year and a half ago and now that she turned three she can actually appreciate it.Her appreciation will have to wait, however, because the furnishings for it are absolutely unavailable anywhere.Fisher Price customer service reps have given me conflicting information. It is really frustrating to buy a doll house and fear that by the time the furnishings are available, my daughter may outgrow it.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Gift
I bought this dollhouse for my daughter after much research.I read many reviews.I have found the "adult" complaints are only shared by the adults. For example, the rooms are small. The fixed furniture can't be moved and gets in the way at times (especially in the kitchen/dining room). However, none of this bothers my 3 1/2 year old.Her complaints have been "Mom, where's the steps to get upstairs?" and "where's the garage?".I must agree; there should be steps to move from floor to floor.I decided to buy the talking dollhouse but really didn't need to.My daughter rarely turns it on.She makes up her own dialogue and uses her imagination to play. However, I don't regret getting the talking version because it does play music and has some cute sayings.
I bought this in December (It's now February), and my daughter has played with it everyday! She loves it.For a month, she thanked me everyday for getting it for her.It also has so much growing potential.I can see her playing with it for years.
It was definitely worth the money and adding new furnishings to it is great. ... Read more

We've had it for several months and had no problem with the ear breaking as some other reviews have stated. There are many different songs/games- I see this as something she willplay with for a long time. It's not her #1 favorite toy (That's the Laugh and Learn House- it is THE BEST!) but she does really like it and plays with it quite often. ...
