1-0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected.
I have a 19 month girl and purchased this toy for her 1st birthday. She loves to push things around. However, this toy does not steer, so she won't push it. And it is too wide for her to really scoot around on. She has way more fun with the $8.00 stroller I bought for her baby doll. I would not purchase this toy again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Multi-friendly
These parents of twins are happy with the hippo as a first birthday gift.Even though they were 11 weeks early (which makes them about 9 1/2 months size), they are trying to walk. The hippo does not get ahead of them while pushing in the walker set up.Other walkers we tried at friends' homes would roll too fast and they would fall forward. The gobble action works on carpet or hard floors. The wheels work well enough on carpet for my daughter to continue pushing when my son crawls on top.Any toy that can stand up to these two day after day is a good buy.

5-0 out of 5 stars "IPPAUW" works WONDERS
** This gobble n' go hippo or my sons way of saying it, "IPPAUW" (This is Pronounced IP and then Ow (like what you say when you get hurt ;) )...is their favorite new toy. Our sons are just starting to stand up (8 months old) and they LOVE peek-a-blocks (we have the wagon, giraffe, hippo, dumptruck, circus set, incrediblock, and shape sorter! they LOVE them ALL). But this hippo is one of their (and my) favorites!
** They squeal when ever they play with it. But I dont really recomend it for wobbly babies, mine are but I have a little technique. My twins seemed very fustrated that they couldnt run and walk like every one else. So they hold onto the couch and then sort of push it alon (with me holding their waist) I think with this help that they are really improving.
** They even love to watch "IPPAUW" gobble the blocks, which I have to say he does surprizingly well, maybe I just got lucky with a good one! I also like that the inside of his mouth is very soft so I dont have to worry about curious hands getting "gobbled" and then hurt.
** What I really love about this is that its stable, (although it doesnt turn too well), yet as another reviewer said, having swivel wheels may just make it harder for a new walker to start taking those first steps. It will be a great and fun way for my babies to learn to walk. I can see no way that this toy could be harmful, it moves well on our carpet, and it doesnt move too fast on tile for a shakey toddler. Its a very stable ride-on too, but I would NOT suggest you ride it outside
** Even my 3 year olds LOVE "Mr. Hippo". They love to ride him all over the house because "Mr. Hippo" is one of the few riding toys allowed in the house. My 3 year olds also think its a lawnmower ever since they saw one at a friends house, and since we only have one shopping cart they use it for that too, and, its so great to see their little imaginations at work, they pretend that they are taking their pet hippo on a walk! All the neighborhood kids LOVE him, even my twins daycare cot one!
** This hippo also gobbles more than peek-a-blocks wich all my kids think is even MORE hilarious, he gobbles other blocks, balls, and whatevers in its path, my 3 year olds say that his tummy is always very full!
** Since we have DOZENS, and I mean dozens, of peek-a-blocks, its a great place to store them other than the toychest (where they always end up on the bottom).
** But what really surprized me was that this hippo excited my sons so much that after hearing us reapeat the word "hippo" over and over again, they said "IPPAUW"!. I was SO excited, (even though they still didnt say "mommy" lol). This is an amazing acomplishment being that they could only say daddy, yummy, and "nehmo" (elmo).
** Its great to see all 4 of my kids enjoying a toy, and I know this will be a key factor in walking because my friends 13 month old gave it a 'spin' and whenever she ended up in a corner, wall, or piece of furniture, she would just stand there and look at us and say " uh-oh"... so cute. (she couldnt walk alone yet)
** Bravo for the Gobble n' Go Hippo for teaching cause and effect, walking (eventually), riding and SPEACH!

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing
I am a new mom and I was having the toughest time putting my little son to sleep! I tried swing, holding him would help but my arms would start to give up on me, baby carriers worked great when I walked with my son in it (but cant walk the whole day now), BUT this bouncer SAVED ME! He loves it :) From the moment I put him in there, my six week old son has been sleeping better. It works like a charm, and it only takes one D battery (buy the rechargable ones), compared to my swing that takes FOUR D batteries! MY BEST PURCHASE SO FAR.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Bouncer
I bought this bouncer in a simmular patern (linkadoos) for my nephew and he loves it. After he was born it was the only way his mom could put him down durring the day because he always wanted to be held. This bouncer is truly a life saver. I would recomend this bouncer to anyone who is expecting a baby or anyone who takes care of a baby.

5-0 out of 5 stars SO EXCITED!
I just registered for this, and as a former nanny, this has everything you need in a bouncer, plus the blanket is a great feature. This is not a item (the bouncer) that you need to spend a lot of money on, spend money on the swing...but these things are great when you need a shower, just strap your baby in and wash up quicky!
I cannot wait to get this for my little boy! ... Read more

Just about every child loves to dribble and shoot basketballs, but not every household with children has the right space for a court. This freestanding basketball hoop might be an ideal solution. Since the height of the hoop can be adjusted according to your child's height and skill level (the hoop goes as low as 42 inches and as high as 5 feet), this is a great investment for children as young as 3 years old. The large backboard (22 by 28 inches) helps keep the ball in play. You can make its heavy-plastic stand even more stable by filling the hollow base with sand or water. Wheels on the bottom make it especially portable. --Gail Hudson ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Not as thrilled as the other reviewers
Purchased one of these about three years ago.I had to throw it out recently since I couldn't remove the second post to increase the height. In addition, the net had pretty much disintegrated over time even though it was not sujected to heavy use nor much weather.

It did require a bit of force and a lot of soap to assemble in the beginning. But as hard as we tried recently, we couldn't remove the second post to adjust the height.Fun toy and the kids enjoyed it. Just disappointed that the net didn't last longer and we couldn't enjoy the adjustable height feature.

4-0 out of 5 stars toy lover
i almost did not buy this toy because people in other reviews stated how much trouble they had putting it together. well i brought it anyway and i am so glad i did.. it took my son in law fifteen mintues to put it together even with a couple of mistakes. my ganddaughter loves it and i am sure it will grow with her and not be just a one year toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Favorite in Our House...
Our 4 boys LOVE this basketball hoop. We got it two years ago and all of them play with it daily. I can't remember what the assembly was like-apparently it wasn't too horrific because nothing comes to mind. The fun your kids will get out of it is far worth any effort it takes to get it together. Definitely a must have! ... Read more

Editorial Review

This durable little unit packs in a lot of functions, all of them eminently kid-friendly. Most basically, it’s a tape player that can be easily operated with big, colorful buttons, but it’s also a kind of karaoke machine, letting kids use the included microphone to sing along with the music, or sing a cappella. As if that wasn’t enough, there are multiple settings to warp your voice to sound like a monster, robot, bunny, or Martian. You might have to use your imagination to hear how some of the settings sound like what they’re supposed to (and what does a bunny sound like anyway?), but once you start experimenting with Voice Warp, it’s addictive fun even if you’re a big person. Don’t worry though, you can turn the filter off to hear your normal voice. --David Stoesz ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars very durable
I have the older version of this player. My daughter got it for Christmas when she was 3 and she still plays with it. (she is now 10) Her brother has also used it and now my Granddaughter has started to play with it. It has been bounced up and down stairs and even banged against the wall a time or two. It still plays and sounds good. My kids have enjoyed it so much that my Granddaughter is getting one of her own for her birthday this month.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun Voice Machine!
We bought this recorder for our son when he turned 3. I wanted him to have freedom to play his own tapes and also the fun of doing the cool voices. I didn't realize just how much he would actually like this. Not only does he carry it around and talk on it constantly- so does his 1 yr. sister (and his parents, too!). We have laughed so much playing with this as a family. I was hesitant about purchasing this at first but now I am so glad I did!

2-0 out of 5 stars Playback broke very quickly
As at least one other person noted, there is sometimes too much feedback when singing in to the mike. The unit seams built very strongly and is very heavy (too heavy to be carried and played with at the same time), but after very little use, the play button has stopped functioning on the tape player. ... Centered around a rotary circling a fountain, this colorful little village is home to a schoolhouse, where Kathleen teaches class; a grocery store, manned by grizzled shopkeeper Sam; and a grassy town square, where a little boy, Eddie, rides around on a skateboard. Any of them can hop onto the xylophone, guitar, or saxophone stand and perform a music concert in the park. The roadway and sidewalk spin, allowing Sam or Kathleen to cruise around in a car. This toy offers toddlers lots of colors, sounds, movement, and fun, with numerous accessories. Three C batteries are required (but not included). --Andy Boynton ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars My 2 1/2 yr. old loves it!
This is the kind of toy that brings out the imagination in children. Our daughter loves to play with it everyday. She liked the video when we first got it but doesn't ask for it anymore. This toy keeps her busy enough to forget about the TV.I like that!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for kids of all ages.
My three-year-old and my eight-month-old both love this toy.My baby loves putting things on the road and watching them/trying to get them back off as it spins. My older son loves role-playing, especially with the school portion. It is a very big set.I underestimated how much room it would take up.The volume is a little loud.I also wish they would have made more than one song for when the road is spinning.Gets a little grating after a while.Still well worth it.

Yet another great by Fisher-Price. My son gets hours of enjoyment out of these toys and his imagination goes beyond all boundraies when playing. All Fisher Price People items are wonderful for children. Hands down. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Parents looking to encourage a love of athletics in their children without breaking the bank buying up an infinite variety of sports gear, may wish to consider this versatile set branded by the folks at ESPN, who know a thing or two about sports. Its a collapsible freestanding kit that offers six sports in all. Basketball is rendered in the model of the classic pop-a-shot game, keeping score as you shoot baskets. In football, youre the quarterback throwing a ball through a small hoop, the same hoop used to test your pitching accuracy in the baseball mode. The action moves to the floor for the other sports as you kick at a small target with a soccer ball, slap a puck at a small target in hockey, and putt into a cup for golf. All necessary gear is included for each sport and an electronic scoring system and the canned voice of ESPN announcer Stuart Scott add to the fun. Some sports in this set work better than others, basketball being a little more fun than hockey, but the sheer versatility of this set make it a good option and means it will be hard for anyone to run out of challenges. --Charlie Williams ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Addicting but unreliable
I bought this for my six year old son. I must say, I have spent more time on it than him, playing it into the night after he's put to bed. I've had some reliability problems though--the scoring quit working reliably shortly after we got it--sometimes it records a score, sometimes it doesn't and checking the wiring and replacing batteries hasn't fixed it.Also beware, it's BIG. You need plenty of room and a high celing. Even when "collapsed" into it's storage position, it is a mighty prominent addition to your home. Still, wouldhave given it five stars overall if it worked reliably.

3-0 out of 5 stars FUN TO PLAY BUT NO FUN TO PUT TOGETHER
My boys age 12 & 8 wanted this for Christmas so against my wishes I made the purchase. I knew it would be a big job to put together...why do toy makers think parents should make the toy???
Anyway the instruction book states that it will take 7-14 hours to put together...It took two people 9 hours... I must say it is durable and that is what I was looking for.Make sure you have a room with over 7 foot ceiling because we measured the basement thinking it would fit but had to put it on the unfinshed side of the basement because we did not allow room for the basketball to be thrown higher than 7 feet in order to fall into the net. My kids wanted this toy because the voice is from ESPN and without batteries this toy would be NO FUN to them. The basketball and football are the games they play most.Golf and soccer and hockey are not competitive enough and the scoring is not interactive like the the other games. I know there are other sturdy arcade style basketball games on the market for less money that I could have purchased, but no others that have the ESPN game voice. If you buy this allow ample time to put it together and make sure you have batteries on hand.

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth it!
I'll keep this brief.I purchased this for my 2 kids (boy and girl ages 10 and 6) for xmas. They played with it all day xmas and everyday since. They still haven't played with the rest of their toys for playing with this so much.Yes it's a couple of bucks and yes it takes up alot of room...but it's worth it.Better that their on their feet moving than sitting watching tv and playing video games. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Lemon of a toy
I bought this ride on toy for my 3 year old daughter since she enjoyed her older sisters' jeep, I thought it would be fun for her to have her own.It worked for about a week and then never worked right after that.I bought new batteries for it, but nothing worked. It does not run very fast, if at all.It would go and then stop, needless to say my daughter will not even go in the car now.Maybe I just got a lemon car, but I was very disappointed in this product and would not waste the money on another one like it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Grocery Getter
This VW was purchased for my daughter when she was too young to drive it. At 1 yr she was afraid of the electric engine noise. At 2 she could push the pedal but did not understand to keep her foot down and she had not enough strength to turn the wheel. At 3 years she was ready to drive! It has been reliable and durable. The batteries are still good after all this time but I have kept up on keeping them charged throughout the year even when not in use. This car is one-wheel drive and therefore does not go on anything except for carpet and perfectly level pavement. Does not go in grass or gravel at all.

5-0 out of 5 stars Small Enough for Indoor Use
We got this car for our 22 month old daughter as an early Christmas gift. She loved opening and closing the door and going in and out of the one in the store.Fully assembled it is approx 3ft by 2ft so it's small enough to use and store in the house, which is nice because we live in a condo. My daughter can't steer it yet (it's harder to steer on carpet than vinyl)but she can push the pedal and foward/reverse buttons. She likes to store "treasures" in it and we often find our missing items in there. It's not that fast or powerful but it was able to pull me around in it.I think it's good for younger children and indoor use. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars nothing special
My daughter is a year old now, and has had this toy in her crib basically from the beginning. She's never really shown much interest in it at all, which is weird, because she loves most other toys that have music and lights and buttons to push. But this she barely plays with, even when I try to get her interested in it.

I think part of the problem might be that the keys are tough for a baby to distinguish (the whole thing just looks like one big piece of cloth), so it's hard for her to tell where she's supposed to push, or even that her pushing causes the sound and lights.Actually, now that she's old enough to understand the concept of a "button," she keeps trying to push on the lights themselves, because they look more like buttons than the keys do.

Also, the music's a little annoying. If you get this as a gift, it might be worth keeping, but I wouldn't run out and buy one.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice but not spectacular
I really liked the idea of having a toy that my daughter could use from a very young age, and this piano seemed to fit the bill.I received one at my baby shower and immediately attached it to the foot of her cradle. My daughter is a big kicker, so she started using this piano when she was only a few weeks old.

I've never had a problem with the Kick n Play, and while I'm not sure my baby yet realizes that she's making it work by kicking it, she does kick it quite a bit when it's within reach. My big complaint is that the selection of music and other sounds that the piano makes aren't very good.On one setting, it plays several children's songs (instrumental only) - the sound quality is OK, but nothing special...certainly not as good as the sound on the Imaginarium mobiles. On another setting, it says an animal name when a key is kicked ("dog") and provides the sound of the animal (again, the sound quality of the animal sounds is pretty poor in my opinion).Another kick and a number is said, then a few bars of a song.Lights flash.Really, nothing too exciting. The songs are the same on every setting; the main difference is how much of each song is played and how many are played in a row.I find the one-word animal and number identification just plain boring.I think much more could have been done with the audio part of this toy, which is why I'm only giving it 3 stars.

3-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't hold interest
My son is 9 months old and is still not interested in this toy (he's has it since 3 months old). He'll play with it for a few minutes, but quickly looses interest.Maybe he will like it better when he's a little older... ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Not fast enough
Though the fabric and convience of the swing is nice. It just does not swing fast enough for my son(even though it supposably has 5 sluggish speeds).I have tried to put him in it many different times (even when he's sleepy) and he cries and wants out. He perfers the other faster swing I have. Maybe my third child on the way will like it better. If I would'nt have thrown out the box (duh) I would have taken it back.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good product but a little boring.....!
Now that my son is 3 months old, he seems to like this alot more. When he was smaller, he cried whenever I put him in it...his head had no support & would tilt in a 90 degree angle. But now that he is older & heavier, and his neck is stronger, he is much more comfortable in it. It usually puts him right to sleep. It's easy to move around the house.
The only thing I did not like about this swing is that it's a little boring. There is nothing for him to play with or entertain him. It's a very basic model swing with no frills.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Convenient
This swing is a great choice for a second swing if you need one in the upstairs or to take to the sitter's or grandma's.I actually use it more than my big swing because I can carry it from my bedroom to my bathroom, etc.Now that I've gone back to work, I took it to the sitter's so she can use it.It is so easy to take that I can bring it home on the weekends or take it other places (like Grandma's).

I only gave it four stars because I would like for the recline of the back to be a little more adjustable, but overall, I think this is a great product. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun Toy For Mom and Baby
I love this Sesame Street bath toy and so does my 15 month old daughter! It is so neat with the puzzle feature, something that helps us tidy up when it's time to get out of the bath.We make a game that the different toys must be put back on the island before my daughter gets out of the tub. What fun!As she gets older she will get more adept at it, right now I help her.She likes to make a waterfall with the tree and make Elmo zoom across the water.I love this toy so much I've given 2 as gifts!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars THE Best Tub Toy out there!
My daughter Riley received this toy for Christmas(I'm just a little late)I had to write this review because it truly is a great toy for the tub!It is great for imaginative play and was well thought out!No holes in figures so they can't get water inside and mildew like most tub toys. I highly recommend this for everyone's child!

5-0 out of 5 stars Never cry at rinsing hair again
I bought this for Christmas for my 16-month old son who HATED having his hair rinsed. He loves Elmo, so I thought I'd give this bathtub toy a try.INSTANT SUCCESS!I use the tree to rinse his hair and guess what, NO MORE TEARS!He happily plays with Elmo, Ernie and Lou and lets me rinse away. This toy is a must have for any toddler who loves Elmo.My son even takes the bathtub Elmo and Lou to bed for naps and nightime. We've had it for several months and no mold will grow on this thing.FANTASTIC!We dry each character off while drying my son off too and they just make bathtime, drying time and life happier for my little boy! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Love the lights
I love this product and the price is great!
I know when my baby is in distress even if I am vaccuming or doing the dishes. You don't have to listen to constant static. It is a great value.

1-0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY
This moniter is not worth the $19.99.I got one before my baby was born tried it out and it worked great so I threw the box away. After 2 weeks of use it had a lot of static. We put up with it for awhile then it got to the point we couldn't even hear our daughter. It is worth it to spend a little more money and know that it wont stop working in the middle of the night when your baby may need you the most.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great value for the $$ !
I think this monitor works great for how cheap it is.It does what it's supposed to do (pick up baby's crying) and can even pick up really quiet noises like baby's breathing. The lights are great - I often notice them before hearing the noise if the volume's low. There is a low constant static in the background but this is not bothersome unless you turn the volume up (which there is no need to do as you can hear any noise quite well with low volume).

There is loads of static if you turn off the transmitting monitor & forget to turn off the receiver, but that helps you remember to turn both off. I haven't noticed interference from other appliances in my place. I live in a large apartment so haven't tested this in a 2-story house yet. ... Read more

The Pixter is like a personal digital assistant (PDA) for kids. But instead of storing boring appointments and phone numbers, they get to draw, do puzzles, and learn a little, too. The Pixter is about the size of a small book, and has a pretty solid weight to it. It's made out of brightly colored and durable plastic. The main action of this toy is drawing with an attached stylus. The Color Pixter offers much better graphics then the black and white version, which comes in handy with activities like Paint-by-Numbers and Connect-the-Dots. You can draw a picture free form, or you can use one of the starter backgrounds. There are tool buttons, like on a PDA, that give you access to fun stamps, special effects, and the eraser button. You can also save your creation in the Pixter's memory. There are some boppy tunes playing along with all this creative activity, but luckily for parents, there's also a jack for headphones and a volume adjuster. An expansion slot on top of the Pixter accepts ROM-based expansion cards that contain additional software and games. Requires 4 "AA" batteries. (Not included.) --Megan Sullivan ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy Pixter...Go for a Leapster
My 3-year-old loves her Leapster and plays with it in the car on long trips as well as in the house when I have to do things that leave her on her own. That's why, when I saw what looked like really fun and educational games for the Pixter, I put it on her wish list for her birthday. It'll be twice as much fun when there are more games from which to choose, I thought. But it's turned out to be a major disappointment. The screen is grainy, the interface is not intuitive, and one really has to press hard to get the screen to recognize the stylus. It's not easy even for an adult! The drawings skip and you can't drag items once they're placed: You never know where they're going to be centered before you place them. The games are not as educational as those on the Leapster, either. We bought Global Passport, Creative Genius, Barbie Fashion Show, Pet Shop, and Symphony Painter (that one is the worst!). She's using the Pet Shop a little, but that's it. Don't waste your money. Go for the Leapster...It's elegant and fun with a clear picture and sound. Now I wish I'd taken to heart the previous reviewer who bought the Leapster instead because I'm stuck with all this expensive useless nonsense. I had also bought the math, Barbie writing and Clifford cartridges, but I'm going to return those because they were bought in a brick and mortar store and haven'tyet been opened.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great fun!
How cool is this?! A color computer for little hands. It is a great set.The game cartridges that go along make it just as exciting as any gaming system. The basics to it are drawing and other artistic works such as stickers, shapes and fill-in colors. My son got one at the age of 4 and loved it.He broke the first one by falling on the screen, but we bought a new one because of the use of the first one. Now, nearly 2 years later, he is expanding his artistic talents by drawing with different styled lines, creating his own coloring themes and the like. Works great, day or night, as the screen is lit.We often take ours in the car because of the headphone option and volume control.

1-0 out of 5 stars Get a Leapster instead
I was very disapointed in the Pixter. We returned ours and got a Leapster. The graphics and controls are so much better on the Leapster and the games are much more fun and educational. Also the Leapster is much more intuitive, a child can pick up a Leapster and figure everything out - there is even a "hint" button if the child gets stuck. A child that gets stuck with the Pixter can only look at the grainy screen and wonder where they went wrong. This toy is not worth the money. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Long Life
I bought this bike for my eldest daughters 1st birthday ,when they first came out, about ten years ago! My youngest children, 4 and 3 love to ride it and it is still in great condition. It is so easy to ride and fun to push the kids when we go for walks. My son just got a fancy trike for his 3rd birthday and he still prefers to ride this one. His other one has heavy rubber tires making it harder for little ones to learn to petal. I am going to by one for my nephew for his 2nd birthday!

4-0 out of 5 stars Years of use
We bought this for my first son four years ago. He is now five and still rides this. He even rides it together with my younger son (almost 4). This plastic tricycle is very durable, it has been thru a LOT. It rides very well on the wooden deck.

Editorial Review

Babies will get a real physical and mental workout with this play gym. It's pretty much like all of the other models out there, but its stand-out is its versatility and diversity of features for infants at all stages. A kicking gym for infants is made of attractive objects than spin, light up, and make sounds with each tiny foot-fall. A Ferris wheel loaded with colorful balls spins overhead to create additional interest. Babies who can sit up can spin the Ferris wheel themselves, and watch it release the five balls down a tunneled ramp and out the side of the gym. This in turn sets off music and lights as the balls zip past noisy, spinning obstacles. It's not just fun and games, though: the activities are designed to develop motor skills, cognitive learning, and stimulation of the senses.Diane Beall ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Safty problem
This toy looked so great in the store, but we were not happy once we got it home.We read the box and it was misleading. The kick pad is just a plastic plate with a sticker on it.You can hit this toy anyplace and it will start to go.We had to hit it very hard to make it work at all and a young baby would more likely push it away than start it.The sounds are not the most plesent it's like one of those toys grandparents would buy to get back at their kids.It show the toys moving but it's not easy enough for a child to do even an older one and the balls that come off to roll down the ramp we could barly get off.I would expect there to be a nob or button to push to make them come off and roll down. This toy realy only does one thing the rest it like getting plastic balls. My son was 2 months old when we got it a little young for him then and he hated it.He would rather be on the floor with out a toy than that one, maybe the sounds :).he is now almost 4 months old and he plays with it for a very long time, I was surprised.
HOWEVER PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE TOY MAY NOT BE SAFE.THE BAR THAT YOU CAN LOWER FOR AN OLDER CHILD TO PLAY SITTING UP MOVES,IT WOULD BE VERY EASY FOR A CHILD TO GET THEIR FINGERS SMASHED.THE BOTTONS YOU USE TO LOWER THE BAR STICK OUT AND THERE IS A GAP BETWEEN IT AND THE BLUE BOTTOM WHEN THE RED BAR IS UP.IT CAN VERY EASILY ROCK FORWARD AND CATCH EVEN MY FINGER, MY SON CAN'T QUITE REACH IT BUT IT WON'T BE LONG AND AT SOME POINT HE COULD ROLL OVER TO IT.I found that putting a boppy pillow under him and the toy up to a wall keeps him from pushing away from the toy and his hands away from the bottons works for now.I would be watching while your child plays with this one.

1-0 out of 5 stars skip it
We received this item as a gift, fortunately there was a gift receipt with it. The music, even on its lowest setting, is too loud, our baby seemed put off by it. Also, the hanging parts were too high for him to kick. The flashing lights didn't seem to interest him either. He lost interest in about 5 minutes and looked a bit irritated. Stick to a product like the Baby Einstein Play Gym, we have that and he's wild about it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful toy for my3 month old
We did find that the toy was a little high for a baby to play with so we improvised and sat him in his bouncy chair to play with it.He is so happy when he sits in his chair and playsthat he will sit there for an hour or two if we let him.He also likes to lay on his back on the floor and play with it but he likes sitting in the chair much better. So I would recommend this product to anyone. ... Editorial Review

Less a high chair than a full-service child feeding network, the Linkadoos Healthy Care Deluxe provides every possible option you can think of along with a few you probably haven't. Operating under the absolutely correct assertion that it's hard to find time during the day to clean off the eating surface, three different detachable food trays are included, one for each meal. There are toy pouches on either side of the seat, a towel bar on the back, and a baby food jar rack for extra convenience. Seven height adjustments mean that the seat can be used for just about any table and that the tray can be removed entirely in order for this to become a toddler chair. A sunny blue pattern makes the chair as bright and happy as kids are bound to be while sitting in it. Are all these features absolutely essential to a high chair? Not really. But do they make mealtime easier for parent and child? Indeed they do. --Charlie Williams ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars We like it.
I registered for this chair.Unlike most people who reviewed this one I did like the pattern.I never expected it to "go" with my kitchen decor, I like that it stands out and is not boring. Not into pastels personally.
It serves it's purpose.I like that there are 3 trays and I do change them and stick them in the dishwasher but only because I can and not because it's necessary.I simple wipe-down would be sufficient. My son is 8.5 and we've been using the high chair since he's about 6 months.I don't have a major problem cleaning it but I don't let him play with his food so maybe that's why.You can read about the pros of the chair so I'll just list what I found to be a negative:

·The basket and bottle holder are not functional. They come off VERY easily, hard to reattach and make the chair wider than it is.I don't use them.
·I would have liked if the footrest was adjustable.

Other than these small issues this is a good, solid product.

2-0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money
We registered for this chair and totally regret it now. Our son is 9 months old and we have been using it for 5 months now. First, it takes up a ton of space. We have a fairly large kitchen and the legs are just spread out so far, we're constantly tripping over it! Also the colors are a bit garish. I can't imagine it working well with anyone's kitchen decor. Now, I realize my son is a big baby, but he hardly fits in the chair anymore! His bottom is squeezed in there. I ended up taking the cushion off to give him some more room (plus, it is just downright ugly!) The trays barely fit in our dishwasher. We ended up removing the tray altogether, sliding the seat down to one of the lowest heights, and scooting the highchair right up to the table. It isn't ideal, but it works and I wasn't about to go out and buy another high chair. So, my advice is to get one of those little reclining feeding seats that strap onto one of your regular chairs. My friend has one of those and I wish we would have purchased one of those instead. This highchair gets the job done, but is a pain and totally not worth the money!

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice chair, but...
The chair seems to be comfortable (I haven't sat in it, but it's padded well) and it does roll which helps with mobility. The basket and the cup holders on the side fall of at the drop of a hat and the wheels seem to lock for no reason at all.The heigth adjustment is nice.It is a very large chair, so don't buy it if you are limited for space. It does fold up slightly, but there is no locking in a folding position. Therefore, it must sit precariously in the folded position as any movement will cause it to unfold or fall over.I cannot say that I would purchase it again, although it does have positive aspects. ... Dora the Explorer, "Nick Jr.'s" doe-eyed, Mexican sojourner, converses in Spanish and English as a doll as naturally as a cartoon. From simple, one-word translations to the "Happy Song," Dora speaks and sings using over 30, clearly pronounced, easy-to-learn words. She interacts with four included friends--a star, baby bird, butterfly and frog--who respond with movement, light and sound (via microchips) when placed in her right hand. Dora's body is designed to sit rather than stand (she has a very flat bum and solid posture), so she's actually built to be conversational. Just position her on the edge of a chair and the fun begins. If kids still need something to coddle, Dora has pliable extremities, and her pretty, brown hair can be combed. Her clothes, however, are not removable. Required: 4 "AA" batteries.--Diane Beall ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed!!!!
Half the time Dora doesn't even know what little friend she's holding ,that is if my daughter can find them!!! Most of the time Dora repeats her words over and over and over again like a broken record!! She is a huge Dora fan but has lost all interest in this toy. Wish I could get my money back.

4-0 out of 5 stars For Dora Fans
I bought this for my girlfriend's 3 year old and she absolutely loves it. She takes it with her to school every day. She already learned the little song that Dora sings and knows how to switch Dora's friends on the palm of her hand, herself. It's a good idea to keep Dora's friends always in your sight because once lost the doll will loose some of it's coolness. But I'm happy that I could make a 3 year old jump for joy. Great gift idea for a little Dora fan.

1-0 out of 5 stars This toy is a waste of money....do not buy it!
After opening this toy that Santa brought for my 3 year old (no small feat with the master degree holding packaging engineers securing each and every extremity and accessory piece with a wire), and playing with it for a few minutes, I immediately started to wonder why I couldn't get the toy to say the 30 phrases the box promised. My husband suggested that maybe there is a Spanish mode, but there is no "Spanish" button to be found.Additionally, I too thought for the price paid, the manufacturer could have included Dora's backpack to keep her "friends" in.
As another reviewer stated, I can only get the doll to say 8 phrases unless hola and adios count each as 1, then we're up to 10.
Furthermore, the weight of this doll, if launched, will surely break a window, dent a wood floor or cause a concussion in an innocent sibling standing by.
It should go without saying that this is going back as it doesn't do what is promised on the package. ... Read more

This colorful car collection develops motor skills and hand-eye coordination while your child makes important discoveries about sorting and strategy. There are four vehicles, numbered 1 through 4, of graduatedsizes: a rattling green sports car, a blue police car with a revolving roof light, a yellow school bus with an opening sunroof, and a red fire truck with an adjustable clicking ladder. The vehicles can be rolledacross the floor, and then stacked--ever so carefully--atop each other, and finally all nested inside the fire truck. Vehicles only nest or stack completely when arranged in proper order of size and number. Made of sturdy plastic, these toys can be dipped in warm sudsy water for easy cleaning. --Kathryn Gustafson ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Trucks!
We bought these trucks for our 15 mo. old daughter and 4 mo. old son- We love them! They are nesting which is fun for our daughter to look underneath the trucks to find the next one or they can stack one on top of the other to make a tower.Perfect first trucks! And they aren't too big- a perfect size!

4-0 out of 5 stars MOMMY loves this toy.
I saw these on sale at a discount store and couldn't pass up the price. I bought them for my 8 month old daughter. She plays with them frequently. I like them because we can play peek-a-boo by putting items underneath them. Because they are built open underneath, she can grab them easy. She likes the activities on each little car. They also pack very easily for taking some toys out of the house because they nest. I know that she is going to really play with these for years. When we take them places, other kids are very attracted to them. One little boy, age 2, played with them for 30 minutes in the church nursery, stacking them and rolling them. Another boy was 5 years old and he was really into stacking them and identifying the numbers on them. My only concern is that the wheels are held on by a plastic pins and I'm hoping that they don't break. However, you can usually count on FP to make toys that last. My husband is happy because he didn't want me to get one more thing that takes batteries and makes noise!

5-0 out of 5 stars Maybe the perfect toy
This toy is terrific. It stacks, rolls, and the cars fit inside each other neatly. The three largest cars have a simple moving part on top; the smalles car rattles. No noises, no batteries.Just simple activities a young child can do his or herself. It's marvelously elegant. ... Read more

Am going to give the castle to my son on his bday and i know that he'll love it,i can't wait to give it to him.He just loves everything of little people there so cute and educational as well also i like the fact it's for boys and girls.i play with my son alot since i just go to school on and he actually knows all the names.I like that little people is great for kids to play and learn every mom go buy some little people books to their so cute and educational too oh and the tapes or dvds.

5-0 out of 5 stars All hail the king.
My three-year-old son loves his castle. He received it for his 2nd birthday and still plays with it almost every day.It is a nice alternative to the Little People House playset that is very gender specific. It allows the same role-play (with the table, bed, etc.) without the stigma of being a "girlie" toy.I wish fisher price would make the house gender neutral. The pink and purple colors tend to turn away parents of boys. The sounds of this castle are fun.The trumpets play when the flag is pushed as if announcing the royal couple's arrival.A fun toy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun for any child
I have 3 children....all girls. Twins that just turned 2 and a 10 month old. This is a really fun set for either boys or girls. I love the Little People playsets because all three can play and I don't have to worry too much about tiny pieces for the youngest to swallow like in others. But the castle theme is just neat because it lets them become more creative. Most of the other LP sets they have they often imitate what they see in real life. In this one they love the "dragon" and "knight" and get into some really intreasting conversations with each other. I keep it in their bedroom and they play with it every day. A great investment! I also love how well these LP playsets hold up. Very sturdy and durable. ... Read more
