5-0 out of 5 stars Best Toy Ever
I'm a girl and I like this game. For 7 or 8 year olds, it has robots and batteling. For older kids it has football. I would rate this a 5 star, because it is extremely fun.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun game
We got this game for Christmas for our 7 yr old. We had never heard of it but it looked fun and it was very inexpensive. It looked a little overwhelming when you opened the box and saw all of the pieces but once our son and my husband got it set up and started playing they loved it. They play it almost every chance they get. The games do take a little while to finish and you need a pretty large surface ( like a kitchen table ) to set it up on but they say it is a really fun game. I really suggest this game but it may be one an adult has to play with the kid til they get a little older.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun game to play with my son
This is a great little game. At least one review complained about the rule book, but it's not totally impossible to figure out.

My 7 year old son can understand the game well enough to teach others, but probably could not have understood the rule book without help. After a little trial and error we got it figured out and have had many successful games.

Gameplay is fast and fun. From inital setup to back in the box, our longest game was around 35 min. We average 15 min or so. It's cool enough that both my son and I have a good time when we play. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Groove It is evolved from earlier handheld games that annoyingly commanded players to push, twist or hit something, ever faster, to keep things going. Even CEOs lost their cool playing with those things. Now it's a bit less monotonous, and embarrassing. Instead of awkward knobs and buttons, players pass a hand over motion-detecting lasers and lights that simulate the sliding, zooming, and scratching sounds made by the earlier games. As well, instead of one goofy musical score, this version has two types of background music, and talks more clearly to let you know if your move was right or wrong. Kids and adults alike can play, as the game has 3 skill levels and a variety of progressive speeds.Required: 3 "AA" batteries.Diane Beall ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The BopIt's worthy successor
This is a great toy - for both kids and adults. In the tradition of Hasbro's BopIt you have to quickly react to the commands the toy gives. But there are no buttons to press. Instead the toy has motion sensors and little LEDs that light up during the moves. The groovy voice and sound track are just great and beat anything Hasbro has released so far.

The motion detection works reasonably well, but not perfect. Some moves require you to do some extra action to make the move count. Example: The "ZIPPER" only works for me if I open my hand at the beginning of the move and close it while performing. This is a bit frustrating, but over all the game plays very well.

The hardest mode, the "expert" setting can only be accessed after you finished the advanced mode. To do this you need to correctly perform all moves and then survive for another minute or so. If you played a lot of BopIt, you should manage this in a couple of hours. Don't let the manual scare you, the moves look confusing on paper but are pretty straightforward once you play them on the device.

In my opinion this toy is a MUST BUY for everyone who enjoyed BopIt Extreme. If you have never played this other Hasbro toy, you might want to buy a BopIt first.

5-0 out of 5 stars really fun and quite loud
My 11 year old neice and I ended up having competions against each other with this toy.It was a great deal of fun for us but I got the feeling that the others in the room were not as amused as we were due to the noise level.

4-0 out of 5 stars More fun than you would expect!
Groove-it is a hand held game that plays music and calls out hand movements, that become, in turn more complex. My 9 year old and 5/12 year old boys love to play, and "groove" along to the music as they do.It is a great toy for long drives, and has lead to lots of laughter and fun interaction for our family. They howled when my husband showed them his cool moves!I would so much rather my boys take turns with Groove-it, root each other on to reach their individual best, than stare blankly at a gameboy. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars See Through Tiles
You can totally see through my tiles.I bought mine a couple of years ago.Model number on box says, 04623.Looks to me like there was a bad batch of them made. When I was younger, I had one that was fine.

The game is fun, reasonably priced, and educational for the kids as well.

I like it because it doesn't take long to play, and several people can all get a turn within an hour.

I have written to Hasbro regarding the tiles. Not sure why I waited 2 years to do so, but hopefully they will make good on this problem.

4-0 out of 5 stars NEEDS MORE TILE SPACES
As it is, you can only create words 8 letters long. They should make it at least 10-12 letters. Some have complained that the tiles can be seen through. It's nonsense - no matter what lighting conditions you CAN'T see through them. Maybe it was a problem in earlier editions, but mine is just fine.

1-0 out of 5 stars waste of money
The tiles are transparent. There is absolutely no guessing the word your opponent has chosen because you can see right through the tiles.I took masking tape and put several layers over the back of the tile and I could still see through it.I colored it with a permanent marker and could STILL see through it.My mom can play with my daughter in her basement but that is about it!!Would not recommend this item to anyone unless you have money to throw away. ... Two old favorites often make a winning combination when they are brought together, as is proven here in this Pooh edition of Candy Land. Winnie the Pooh and his friends, Eeyore, Piglet, and Tigger, move along the winding path of the game board, picking up treats for a picnic in the 100 Acre Wood. No reading is required to play. Children draw cards and then use their color-recognition and symbol-matching skills to advance to the appropriate location on the board. Many adults will recognize this classic game from their own childhood and will enjoy sharing it with the kids now in their lives. A.A. Milne's familiar and enduring Pooh characters will ease children into the often-difficult concept of taking turns!--Wendy Slotboom ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Pooh Lover but not this game!!
My 4 & 2 1/2 year olds love Pooh but this game is not what I expected. There are MANY pieces that pop into the board to decorate it and they get in the way of the game. But my biggest complaint of this game is the colors. They are NOT your traditional Red, Oragne, Blue, Yellow, Purple, Green they are in between colors like yellow-orange, grenish-blue, orange-red etc.YIKES!!I am trying to teach my kids the colors as we play the game and I have trouble naming the colors.I donated my Pooh game and bought the regular Candy Land!!The colors are more vibrant and not mistakable for another color!!

2-0 out of 5 stars Not happy with this game.
I wasn't sure about the game before I bought it, and now that I own it.I really dislike it!

This is why:

The game looks more like a Winnie the Pooh Birthday Party than a Picnic.

The gameboard feels very cluttered with all of the winnie the pooh cardboard standing parts.

The gameboard is even worse because because the colored squares seem extra small, and the playing pieces are extra big.

Eeyore, if placed on the board with his head facing forward, will take up 3 spaces.

The colors are not simple colors making the teaching value of this game very poor.

I suggest buying the original game, because this one is truly not that good.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Cute
My 4 year old son loves Candy Land, but having his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood in the game adds tons more fun.He definitely enjoys this very playful version a lot more than the original.A must first game for your Pooh lover! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars More fun more sturdy version of a classic board game
My daughter who's almost 3 has little idea of how to play and is yet very excited about playing it, because it has the familiar Sesame Street characters that she loves. We tried the original, but she quickly lost interest, because the pieces are flimsy and hard to play with.

The pawns are much better than the original. The original has annoying cardboard pieces that fit into plastic stands.Sesame Street has 4 sturdy solid plastic pieces that are Zoe, Elmo, Big Bird and Cookie Monster. My daughter enjoys playing with these pieces just on their own.The pieces have wide bases, which makes it easy to stand them up.However only one piece will fit on a square at a time.

Like the original Chutes and Ladders, the game consists of a board of 100 squares, and a spinner with the numbers 1 to 6. The board seems visually appealing to kids, because my daughter just likes to look at it sometimes. As far as I can tell, the placement of the chutes and ladders is the same as in the original. The chutes mostly show accidents of various Sesame Street characters like tripping on a banana peel. Unlike the original, there's only two chutes that show morals: Zoe won't share with Elmo and Cookie Monster eats too many cookies and gets a stomach-ache. The ladders show the kindness or heroism of Sesame Street characters like cooperation. So the board has a more positive feeling than the original.

The spinner is separate from the box which is nice.

For those not familiar with the original, here's a further review. You take turns. You spin the spinner and move your piece the appropriate number of spaces. If you land at the top of a chute, you slide down it to a different space. If you land on at the bottom of a ladder, you climb up to a new space.

It's a very simple game which teaches young kids how to count, recognize numbers, take turns, and deal with the wins and losses of playing a game.Like most simple kids' games, it's pretty boring unless you're playing it with someone who's still learning these skills and is excited about it. ... Editorial Review

This classic game of luck, strategy, and determination is easy to grasp forchildren as young as 6 years old, yet it's fun for adults and older siblings too. ThisDisney-themed version features such classic Disney characters as Cruella De Vil, Bambi,Dumbo, the Little Mermaid, Snow White, Buzz Lightyear, Peter Pan, and Tarzan. Bydrawing cards, players move their game pieces around the board, hoping to eventuallyaccumulate all their pieces at the final destination--home sweet home. Sorry is known asthe game of "sweet revenge," since players can send each other's pawns back to thestarting line, thus forcing one another to lose ground and begin all over again. This kindof frustration may be hard for children under age 8 to handle. In fact, young onestypically crumble into tears of outrage when their pawns are cavalierly sent back. Theonly recourse is to teach children how to plot their own revenge, which makes them feelas powerful as superheroes. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Super fun!
We all enjoy playing this game. The disney theme makes it so much more enjoyable than the regular one. It teachs them to listen to directions. By far this is my daughter's (age 6) favorite game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sorry!
I have so much fun playing this game.Even my Dad gets into this game. It is wonderful as it is now turned into Disney and I love Disney themed items a lot.I have always enjoyed Sorry! And now that there is a Disney version I am quite happy.I think board-games are great as they bring people together and this is one that I have fun playing with my family and friends and it doesn't matter your age.You will love it long as you like Sorry! But it is even better for one if they are a Sorry! And Disney fan.

5-0 out of 5 stars This game is FUN - much better than the original
Okay - I agree that the playing pieces could be better. It would help if they were encased in plastic as they are in the Disney Princess Spinning Wishes Game. But just tell your kids to be careful and not to bend them and you'll be just fine. You get a group of 4 characters to take around the board. One group is villians, another includes Disney animals (Dumbo, Bambi, etc.), another is Princesses and the last group includes Disney Heroes (Hercules and more). The characters add a lot of fun and energy to the game.If your kids like Disney, they will like this.Worth the time, in my opinion. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Simple Yet Exciting
I got this for my 7 year old nephew's birthday, and he loves it. I only vaguely remember the old classic version, so I cannot make a comparison. But standing on its own, the game is simple to play, yet involves stragey, and has plenty of excitement. My nephew is also improving his counting skills. And the game is only $10! Great for kids, good for adults if they don't compare it to the orginal version.

5-0 out of 5 stars we enjoyed this game but we never played original version
I'm glad I didn't read the other reviews before I bought this board game as a present for my son.I would have worried about it being "cheesy" and "not worth the money."

We have never played any other version of this game so I guess we don't know what we are missing from the original.

I thought the game was simple to learn but still had plenty of excitement as it was hard to tell who would win up until the last moment. The bright colored animals and game board make this game visually appealing and I especially appreciated the educational information enclosed about the animals used for pawns in the game.

If you are looking for a game that is fun to play with your kids this is an excellent choice. If you are looking for the original classic for adult play it seems like you would not be happy with this version of the game.

1-0 out of 5 stars Nothing "Classic" about this...

Although it is designed for two or more players, this movie-based game is much more fun for a larger group of film buffs. You'll need a DVD player, along with your TV, to play the game, and it also requires the use of remote control to move the game forward as you play. The rules of the game are very simple; challenging players to recognize and call out answers based on video and sound clips they see on the screen. And because there is a good variety of classic films mixed in with more contemporary movies, the game will appeal to movie fans of all ages. Includes three different games. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Play Disc 3 before Disc 2 - Here's why!
Discs One and Two feature clips from Dreamworks, Twentieth Century-Fox, MGM, United Artists, Columbia, Sony and Tri-Star. Plenty of material and nothing ever repeats, but some of the same movie titles from these great studios reappear. For Discs 3 and 4 a ton of material was then added from Universal, Hithcock, Paramount and Eddie Murphy. So, for the greatest cross-section of studios and films, buy one from Disc 1 or 2 and then another from Discs 3 or 4.

3-0 out of 5 stars To many repeats
I loved the Disk 1,, it was great, I love the concept, the on screen scoring, the old and new mix of movies (All of us knew something, our 10 yr old, 14, 16, 19 yr old and us)I HAD to get game two, got it cheap, was so excited... we just played it, and at least half, seemed like more, were the same movies represented on the first disk.
The questions were different, the scenes were different, but once you go through the same answers, it was more just trying to remember what last disk's answers were... I was sooo dissappointed....
Seems as though the company only got the rights to a few select movies,,, and had to rearrange questions to come up with same answers...
Too bad.. I was hooked.

5-0 out of 5 stars About two hours of lots of fun
As reviewers point out below, the DVD is good for three games. Once you played all three, that's it.

But those three games will be a lot of fun. All instructions are on screen and very easy to follow. Setup time is under three minutes.

The game moves very quickly. There is enough variety in the games to keep everyone glued to the screen all the time. Even if a team opens a big lead during the game, the last round, where teams can bet points (including all points), makes the game competitive up until the last round.

The game keeps track of the points on screen. It's a great feature.

We played a round with four people (two in each team) a couple of nights ago. It was a lot of fun. I can't wait to play with bigger teams.

Bottom line: at about $8 per game, it is a great investment. ... Read more

Remember getting red-faced from those truths, or gigglingwith your friends over the dares while playing Truth or Dare? Thosedays are back with Jenga Truth or Dare. There are 18 red dare blocks,18 black truth blocks, and with the 18 blank write-your-own blocks, the game can get interesting. With questions like "Describe your worstmoment at a party." and dares such as "Slow dance with a broom." thereare many laughs to be had. The strategy is to remove a block anywherebelow the highest finished story, complete the required truth or dareon the block, and restack it on the top without causing the whole towerto tumble. The last one to put a block on without making it fall is thewinner. It's simple and great fun for groups, although you only needtwo people to play. I got this for Christmas. I took to Georgia to play with my friends, but they all sound so board. And it is so fast. This is so boring so don't spend 20 dollars for this piece of junk.

5-0 out of 5 stars Twister Moves
The game Twister Moves was a fun experience ratherthan Twister. It was a fun to play with other people, and make new friends. I really think it's a good price it cost $13.95. I think it's a good deal because it promises a good time, and you get it .
I had a great time. also I like the way it looks and the way they made it. Twister Moves has a very colorfulthe colors were pink, red, yellow, orange and blue. Twister just has plain dull colors they are like green, red, yellow, and blue.
The reason why Twister moves was so created because the cd's it came with. The directions were so easy all you have to do is listen to the guy and girl on the cd.
It was very fun to play with your friends and family also in regular Twister. But in the game you and other people have to compete. In Twister Moves you just laugh and have fun. That's why I really like Twister Moves way better than Twister, Twister Moves is just creative and fun also descriptive. Twister is just plain old school and a waste of time. If I had to pick a number out of ten stars I would pick ten stars. This game would get the party started. It's outstanding.

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible! Don't Buy this!
This was at the top of my 8 yr old daughter's Xmas list. Santa brought it and it went back to the store today! My daughter is a dancer and loves any games with moving and dancing, but this one she found incredibly boring. It is also quite hard - if the guy talks you use your right arm/leg, and if the girl talks you use the left ones. It starts with the cds calling out moves to do from easy to harder. Its like listening to cheesey hip hop tunes and hearing"green, green, red, blue -ok lets try it...green, green, red, blue" over and over and over....its just plain annoying. My daughter decided to take it back and get something else with the money. Her best friend also got this game and commented on how stupid it was! ... Read more

Blue, yellow, pink, and green flies whiz through the air as a big-mouthed frog snaps at them. Not recommended before naptime, this is a fast and furious game to see who can flip the most flies into the frog's mouth as it spins around opening and closing its gaping maw. From two to four players, each player picks one color for both hand and flies and then flings the plastic insects until all 10 have been fed to Mr. Mouth. The first to get 10 flies in Mr. Mouth wins the game. --Lynne Sampson ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars fair toy
Over the Christmas season I purchased this toy for one of my kids, one for a niece and one for a nephew.I was so excited because I remember having this toy when I was a child. Well, I guess they didn't bother to make the toy a better product then it was 25 years or so ago. It's still fun to play but is not a very durable toy.The legs constantly pop off and when the mouth gets a certain amount of bugs in it the head starts to make a grinding sound and doesn't work properply.Just wish I remembered that before I bought three of them.

2-0 out of 5 stars Look elsewhere
I bought this toy because my 5 year old son really wanted it.We purchased this for Christmas and we were all looking forward to playing it.We were very disappointed in the product. You have to use an arm to flip the flies into the frog's mouth which sounded easy enough. We found out that is was anything but easy. You had to push the arm just right in order to get a fly in the mouth.Too much, and it would go right over the mouth. You had to recognize how much is how much, and after 5 minutes my son (and myself) were fed up with trying to get 10 flies in the mouth. The 4 arms that attach to the mouth are not secure, you can't really move the game without everything falling off.
I would definitly not recommend this game to anyone. After buying this product and re-reading the reviews, almost all of them say that the flies are hard to get in the mouth, I just didn't know HOW hard it was.Look elsewhere for a better game.

5-0 out of 5 stars My girls love it!
I bought this for my 3 and 5 year old daugthers. They play it every day.It is sometimes hard for the litte one to get the flies into the frogs mouth, but she just loves flicking them in the air.It was worth the purchase! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good as the Original
Our family loves guess who and are avid Disney fans!! this game is a great combo for us.My daughter loved the characters and that there were just as many females as males since in the original there is definately more males and makes for unfair play if you draw a female. The game takes a while to put together the first time, the cards are flimsy and difficult to get into the slots. It probably took my thirty minutes to put the thing together, but it is a great family game.If you kids do not know the characters, it may be difficult for them to play.Guess who is a great educational game that teaches process of eliminiation and proper phrasing of questions, her first grade teacher told me it is one of the best games to play for memory development, plus it's a quick game that doesn't take hours to play. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Much Better Than I Thought!
My 5 year old son received this game as a gift. When I looked at the rules of the game, it seemed a lot more complicated than he could handle, but after a few run throughs, he really caught on.He is even picking up the idea of strategy by picking up other players' tiles.Overall, I think this is a decent educational game.It teaches abstract thinking (trying to put the right tiles down) and strategy.Try it!

5-0 out of 5 stars My 4 year old really enjoys this game
My recently turned 4 y.o. boy loves this game. Some games are a bit difficult, even for an adult (the lob-the-kelp-ball into the shark's mouth game), but as a whole, the game is a keeper. There are cool clips of the movie, the music is not annoying, and some of the games are educational (there is a music composition game and a memory game). The sea turtle racing game is so fun, I find myself finishing my son's games when he tires of it!Knock on wood, so far we've had the game for months with no software glitches. We use Windows XP.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun for the kids and the grown-ups!!!
Very cool!! Even though I hardly ever play it, stragety is the name of this game. Try and be the first player to get Nemo back home to his anemone. This kinda reminds me of an old Pocahontas game I have. Overall, it's very cute, fun, and educational. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Okay, it's not the most complex toy that's ever been attempted. They didn't re-invent the rules of the classic murder mystery game Clue, they simply reproduced it with characters, locations, and weapons from the world of The Simpsons. But that simplicity is what makes this set so much darn fun. In this version, Mr. Burns has been found dead. Marge is now Mrs. Peacock, Homer is Mr. Green, Krusty is Colonel Mustard, Bart is Professor Plum, Lisa takes the role of Miss Scarlet, and, perhaps most delightfully, Waylon Smithers, is Mrs. White. Weapons include a poison donut and a plutonium rod, while locales include the power plant and Krustylu Studios. If all these references confuse you, well, it's still a game of Clue and a great game to play. But if these references send you off into a gleeful reverie of repeated catch phrases and favorite episode memories, then you really need this game. --John Moe ... Read more

Homer Simpson plays Mr. Green
Marge Simpson plays Mrs. Peacock
LisaSimpson plays Miss Scarlet

You have to find out where the crime was commited
Was it at the....
Kwik-E-Mart

5-0 out of 5 stars Simpson's Clue Review
I love to play this game. The object is to determine who killed Mr Burns. You put the different cards in an envelope and it will be different every time. There are differnt weapons, like a poisoned donut, a neckace, or a plutonium rod. I'd give this game two thumbs up! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Spinning Wishes
This game is great.I work with preschoolers as a speech pathologist, and for kids close to or over age 5, it's fun to play.Even the boys enjoy it.I think the people who are looking for some kind of educational value to this game have their expectations set a little too high--this is just for fun!The most difficult part is the spinner, as it does fly off the board, but not really a big deal.Once the kids figure out how to move it, it hardly occurs.Just touch it gently on the side; trying to put your fingers in the holes designated for the objects doesn't work too well.Overall, it's a fun game for the current princess craze, and my preschoolers love it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Keeps a little girl's interest
I usually go for a game with more educational value but, like many little girls, my daughter loves the princesses. The spinner can be a pain in the butt sometimes with spinning right off the board, but eventually you'll get it.When you first read the directions, they are a little much for a children's game, you will probably have to play the whole game while reading the directions to fully understand what's going on.But, girls love to play it and it keeps their interest with the rolling, spinning, and finding the present at the end.I would recommend it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not a game that's fun for the whole family
If you are looking for a game parents and preschoolers (3+) can enjoy together, this is NOT it. It caught my four-year-old daughter's eye in the store because of the Disney princesses, of course. Assembling the game the first time and trying to figure out the rules was quite a process. The spinner doesn't work very well. Aside from rolling the die and counting 1 to 6, this game has little educational value.

In fairness, my daughter does seem to like playing the game, but I think it's only because of Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty & Belle.

I have always been a big fan of boardgames and am so glad my daughter can now play them. We both get a kick out of Chutes & Ladders, Sequence for Kids, Barnyard Bingo, Candyland, etc. But I have found little enjoyment in playing Spinning Wishes with her. ... Read more
