first time user
We bought this toy for our son who is 5 years old.He loves building things.
A fantastic way for him to use his imagination.
He loves to create and it keeps him busy for hours.
I only have (1) one problem with this product.It was missing a piece.I know it doesn't seem like much, but when you're following instructions on how to build something, and that piece is missing, you can't build it.My husband substituted another piece, but my son would not have thought of that.GREAT PRODUCT. ... Greatest Toy Ever
I think that this is a really great toy, but it is only for adults, because i think that it is slightly dangerous if not used properly.

Not just for you 16 and up age group
I was recently browsing around looking for some new knex building set when i saw the roller coaster for physics and educational purposes.I just wanted to say that the age limit for that set is discouraging.They do sell the roller coaster by itself and that in itself is an educational experience.I was 12 when i built the roller coaster i got.I am 16 now.Im sure this set is good for learning but im sure you can get the same thing out of the plain roller coaster set.it took me one day to build and i am still learning from it.I am constantly doing different things to it that improove it each time.You catch on easily to the concept of physics and how to make the car go faster or how to make it slow and not derail.This set is a very good experience even for younger children.I also recommend the Big Ball Factory and The Trampolene set.These sets are very educational and will boost any childs curiosity. ... The beauty of this radio-controlled vehicle is that you assemble it yourself with snap-together pieces. The vehicle can be assembled in any number of different ways, including a dune buggy shape and a scorpion. Fun to build, OK to drive, Excellent sound effects
At $20 this is a real deal. Building it is fun, but it doesn't steer very well, so it isn't such a good driving toy. You can take it apart though and build your Own new car though.

Great Toy for Kids
I purchased this for my 10 year old granddaughter who had it together and running in under an hour. It has provided her with an educational toy too with it's variations.

Christmas present that doesn't stay in the closet
My 4-year-old has enjoyed these so much.He has the Roving Rollers and the Building Buddies sets.He can look at the pictures in the "building book" and make many of them all by himself. He has created his own "mosquito" and "cartwheel man" with help from his big sister, who is almost seven, and loves these toys, too.This is the kind of toy that will not end up in the bottom of the closet!!!

Wow--A Toy the Kid Will Play With
Legos, Duplos, Ello.. they don't hold a candle to the Kid Knex in the series. Unbelieveable how much our 6 year old daughter plays with these and our 3 YO son too. These have a good feel for kids too. Bright. Easy to use. We have all in set now. BRING ON SOME MORE!

Comes with great "directions" - a booklet simply depicting many ways to build creatures (by just showing pictures of completed creatures).Our son could easily replicates these creatures and is really into it!Considering the many toys he has, this is a unique one which he plays with again and again!:) ... great fun!
This is our first experience with Kinex and we are very pleased.Our boys ages 3 and 5 both have spent hours making creations.It comes with two sets of eyes, which is important for two builders to work at once.Only one nose piece, but that is the only complaint.This toy is fun for a wide variety of ages and personalities, the possibilities are endless.Now we just need more pieces...

1st K'Nex purchase...loved it but better value in other kits
This is my first K'Nex purchase for my 4 year old son.I knew there weren't a ton of pieces when I ordered it but I wanted to buy a small amount just to see if he liked it.He does!He has enjoyed creating all different kinds of creatures and vehicles.I do feel that I paid up for the cute container.If I had to do it again I would but a "starter" kit in a plain box. ... Where is the information amazon?
I think lincoln logs are incredibly essential for developing young minds.Too bad Amazon can't tell us about these products in detail or I might actually buy from them.I guess I am in the same boat as the reviewer above .... heading to the store.
FYI ... target has explanations on how many pieces are in the sets, but they don't have too many sets!

I really wanted to get this but...
I would have purchased this item on line, however, I could not find out even in the K'Nex website how many pieces are in this bag.

I am better off going to the store to see what I am getting.In the future, I would suggest specifying the products pieces.The more information the better, when buying on line. ... Read more

Be Prepared
My 7 year old was thrilled to get this for Christmas in 2003.Daddy and Uncle Steve were slightly less thrilled to spend an hour putting the Farris Wheel together.It stayed up on my dinning room table until April when I had finally had enough of it and took it apart while everyone was gone (it took me 15 minutes to take the thing down!).

Needless to say the Farris Wheel has never been built again, but my 2 year old likes to play with the part that plays music.She played the thing to death until we finally put the thing out of it's misery and removed the battery.

When I Started on this Ferris Wheel i had no idea how big it would realy be! it took me at least a hour and a half to comppleat this ferris wheel by my self "whith a lot of years under my belt". when it was done i did have some trouble with th emoter but it was fine. ADVICE- DO NOT connect the controller to the inside when building the swings, My Cuz did it and broke the peices becuse everytime u wanted to shut it off you would have to stop the ride with your hand.

Fun Toy
I worked on this with my mom and my two sisters (9 and 5). It took me the whole day to finish it. When my mom and sisters took a break, I just kept going!. This toy was so fun i coulnd't stop. I was determined to finished. Finally I did and now i don't want to take it apart. I built the "Boom Ride". I had trouble with the motor because you need to do it a little diferently from the directions, and need to hold it in place for the first couple of tries.
