3-0 out of 5 stars Cute, but you can easily live without this
Our son kind of likes this, but when we play pony he prefers to face towards the person bouncing them on their knee. He has no interest in the pony other than trying to to shove it in his mouth..

1-0 out of 5 stars Knock Off
This is a "knock off" of a product shown on the Oprah show. She had a show entitled "how to make millions". This idea won, except the item was a first class prototype. You can buy the better version of this on QVC. It is a much larger pony and velcro attaches to your knee. They even have a "Seabisquit" horse.

1-0 out of 5 stars I'm not a kid, can't use the reg. form
WHY oh WHYwould you need this? This is the stupidest toy I have ever seen! If you want the same features, put a blanket on your knee, put the baby on the blanket, then give her a toy and a piece of newspaper to crumple. That would all be free!

3-0 out of 5 stars looks great, but...
This mobile looks great, it has very unusual design. I'm tired of seeing all of the Winnie the Pooh or loony tunes characters, so this was the best looking mobile you can find. Also, toys can be removed from the mobile and your child can play with it as a finger puppet. The only upsetting thing is that it does not turn or spin, because toys getting stuck on the plastic base (which you hook to the crib). I tried to move them around, but it still not working properly! Finally, I had to tie animals tails with the rubber band so mobile can turn and play music. (I really like the design, so I don't want to return this product...although, it's a very annoying defect.) ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT FIRST TOY THAT YOUR CHILD CAN ACTUALLY PLAY WITH!
I FOUND THIS TOY TO BE EXCELLENT ESPECIALLY FOR THE VERY YOUNG
SINCE IT'S NOT TO COMPLICATED TO STACK AND BUILD. I FEEL IT'S VERY EDUCATIONAL FOR THEM BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE CHALLANGE OF LEARNING ABOUT DIFFERENT SIZES AND HOW TO START WITH THE LARGEST AND WORK THEIR WAY TO THE SMALLEST PIECE. PLUS, EACH PIECE HAS SOMETHING INTERESTING FOR THEM TO DISCOVER SUCH AS A MIRROR, TEXTUE, COLOR, CRINCLE SOUNDS AND WORDS WRITTEN ON EACH PIECE (GOOD FOR LETTER RECOGNITION), ETC. IT'S SOFT, COLORFULAND VERY PRETTY TO LOOK AT. AND WHAT CHILD OR ADULT ISN'T FASINATED BY HOW MAGNETS WORK. WHEN MY DAUGHTER PUTS THIS TOGETHER, SHE'S SO PROUD OF HERSELF AND FEELS SUCH A SENSE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT. PLUS, I EVEN LIKE PLAYING WITH IT MYSELF! WHEN I PICK THIS TOY UP I HAVE A HARD TIME PUTTING IT DOWN. I LAY ONE PIECE ON THE TABLE, TAKE ANOTHER PIECE AND PUT IT OVER THE ONE ON THE TABLE AND WATCH THE ONE ON THE TABLE FLY UP TO MEET THE ONE IN MY HAND. SHE GETS A KICK OUT OF IT. IT'S DEFINITLY ONE OF THE BEST STACKERS I'VE EVER SEEN OUT THERE AND DEFINITLY ONE OF THE MOST PLAYED WITH TOYS (VERY CREATIVE!) I GIVE IT 2 THUMBS UP!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Good variety of textures & colors....
At 6 months, she wasn't that interested in it....but at about 8 months, up to now (9 1/2 mos), she enjoys playing with this every day.I put it together & she enjoys pulling it apart. I have to hang onto it while she pulls, but its a 'together-time' toy. She loves the rattles & crinkles in the parts, but the mirror on the bottom piece and sparkle-piece are the ones she likes best.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not the greatest stacking toy
My daughter never really played with this much. She liked the flower on top and the mirrored section, but didn't care for the rest. She seemed to prefer leaving the pieces apart. If you don't stack them up in the right order, it falls over.It just never really appealed to her. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good for older baby or toddler........
We bought these cute balls for my son when he was 6 mos. old.He wasn't interested in them then at all.Now at almost 8 mos. he will occasionally pick the small one up to look at it and shake it to hear it rattle, but still not real interested.I think when he gets a little older maybe 10 or 11 mos. & he gets into passing balls back & forth it will be more fun for him.I like the way they are shaped so that babies little hand can grasp them, and believe it or not the big one does bounce (though not very high).I think it is an over-all good first set of balls for baby/toddler.I especially like the stitched "Having a ball just Daddy & Me" on the bigger one.

5-0 out of 5 stars great fun...
i bought this item attarget for my 6 month old...I really thought it looked pretty odd but since the item was on sale decided to give it a go...when I got home i found therewere two balls and she really had a blast playing with us. She loves the big ball and she can actually grasp the ball because the grooves help her hold on and like to explore the colors while the rattle inside intrigues her ..the small ball she and I like to toss around and take turns tossing it ! great toy.!! I still havent washed this that is why I gave 4 stars howevr willpost update soon ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars We call it Shakey
My daughter loves puppets and loves things that rattle, so this is a great combination. We named him Shakey the Giraffe. He is cuddly and has great colors.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice puppet for the $$$
My son was 4 months when purchased and he liked it but after a few times of seeing it he would no longer giggle etc. He is now 9 months old and goes for the blocks, stacking cups. It just sits in the toy box. Hopefully he will find interest in it again. The toy is alittle aquard to put hand in and manuever it as my had is quite little.

5-0 out of 5 stars My niece loves this toy!
My niece will stop what she's doing every time I pick this toy up.She loves to give the giraffe kisses and "steal" it from me to hug!The toy is durable and colorful, not to mention adorable! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Average play mat
My baby used this and enjoyed it until about 5 mos...when he was able to knock the whole thing down with this body.I wish I would have bought a play mat that was more stable and with more interesting toys. However, he did enjoy the musical aspect of the hanging toys.It was just ok, but I would not buy it again.

4-0 out of 5 stars Cute activity mat for baby
This is a cute mat for a baby but it doesn't entertain them for very long. My daughter has used this mat since she was born and she has liked it but now that she is 5 months old the toys bore her. The music is too short and I had to buy additional toys to keep her interested. It is easy to clean (I just throw it in the washer and then hang dry it), easy to store (it folds up into a bag), and a great item to travel with (it takes up little room in the car).
Overall it is a good toy and it has some good qualities.

5-0 out of 5 stars My daughter loves it...can't live without!!
I think this has to be the best present we received. My daughter has used it since she was 2 months old.Even before she could reach out and grab the toys she loved just looking at them and hearing the sounds they make. Now that she's almost 5 months old, she loves putting them in her mouth, and making the toys make the sounds herself. Its truly a great activity mat.Whats nice about this one is that its all cloth and is flexible and can be moved around very easily.I've seen others with some hard plastic pieces, etc I like this one much better. The bright bold colors have kept her attention as well. This is a MUST HAVE. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Not a shape sorter, but has benefits
This toy should not be called a shape sorter, but if you take a good look at it before purchase, it is obvious that it is not. It is bright and colorful, and plush, which is safe for your baby. It squeeks, crinkles and tweet-tweets, and my son loves it. So does my 5 year old daughter for that matter. It is durable, washable and seems to be entertaining for my baby, which is a good thing for any toy. It is a toy that can travel easily (packed in a diaper bag and springs back to life) which means that is is "sturdy" for a plush toy. It is the kind of toy that leaves room for your childs imagination and role play, which says a lot considering all of the toys made today that take away any form of imagination. It was well worth the purchase!

2-0 out of 5 stars Cute but not enlightening!
I received this as a baby gift from my best friend (who has no kids). It is easily one of the cutest toys I've ever seen. The three shapes all make a noise:crinkle-paper square, rattle triangle, and squeaking egg/chick. The bluebird on top of the barn sings when squeezed. It is soft-sided and the barn door on back has velcro to keep it closed.
Unfortunately this is not the toy to buy if you are looking for a shape-sorter. While there are spaces for each shape (circle, square, triangle) the soft material allows all shapes to fit through all holes. It's constructed to remain in the shape of a barn, and it does. The 3 loose pieces can be set in the opening of the same shape and it won't fall into the barn so it is also very decorative just sitting there!
Finally, it is durable. In the year my daughter has played with it (she has liked holding the shapes since she was little), none of the felt or fabric pieces have frayed or fallen off of the barn, or off of any of the shapes. This toy has been roughed up, chewed, drooled on, and repeatedly squashed, but it is still in great shape.
I hate to give this a low rating because it is durable yet so darling, but it should not be called or advertised as a shape sorter.

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
Cute idea, little value. It's not a true shape sorter, because any piece can be stuffed through any hole.I thought it was cute and snuggly, so I bought it for my baby. She was less interested in it than she has been in my basic kitchen utensils.Save your money. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars It's a hit at our house...
I bought this for my 8 month old daughter for Christmas and it is played with everyday. We pretend to stir the vegetables and play with the small pot, the water seems to keep her attention. I also bought the magnetic stacker, and she plays with this too,in pieces mostly. They are made very well, with very nice fabrics. They are visually very appealing. I will buy these again as gifts for other people's children.

1-0 out of 5 stars At first glance it's cute, but don't waste your money
I bought this toy for my 11 month old son for Christmas. It is now about 1 year later, and he has never, ever played with this toy.The sound it makes is interesting, but doesn't always work -- you have to smack the toy to make it sound. When the vegetables are in the pot, the spoon is so big that it won't fit in to "stir" the veggies.A better idea is to buy some plastic or metal mini pots and pans if you don't want your kids banging on the ones you use every day.

2-0 out of 5 stars Obnoxious noise
I agree with the reviewer who did not care for the sound. It makes a boiinnng type of noise which would be fine if it only made that sound when the child was actually hitting the pot. Instead it boings whenever any other toy near it in the toybox is touched--even if the lid to the toybox is touced. Attached vegetables mean they do not get lost but also means you can't really dump them or play put in-take out. ... Read more
