LeapPad system's unique, multisensory interface already allows kids to enhance reading skills without making it seem like work. But this book has the added attraction of featuring those creepy (but, oddly, cuddly) creatures from the blockbuster movie Monsters, Inc. While top scarers Sulley and Mike figure out that kids are fun, not fearsome, children will exercise reading comprehension, retention, and concrete/deductive thinking. They'll also enhance their vocabularies and grammar skills along the way.

It's simple to use (kids insert the cartridge and book into their LeapPads, and use the attached stylus to hear information), but this system is an innovative technology that provides entertaining, effective learning, designed by a Stanford-trained reading expert. Hands Down Favorite
This Monsters Inc. Leap Pad Books is my 6 year old son's hands down favorite! Although he has other leap pad books, this is the one he returns to time and again. He started by playing the games and then began reading along with the story. Highly recommended product, even fun for adults to play. !

It's a Scream-fest!
Unfortunately, this is my least favorite Leap Pad Book --- The screaming of the characters really gets on my nerves.Leap Pad has many other books that are enjoyable to play.

Yet another hit!
What a great way to get kids interested in learning! My son loves this book. At first he would listen to and read the story over and over. Then he started playing the games within (some are pretty complicated)and now he loves every aspect of the book. The coolest part is that he is reading, doing math, and problem solving all at once and having a great time doing it. This game has no instructions in box,this is a new game factory sealed. Very unhappy with purchase.I had trust in toy's r us.
This game would have been better with the instructions that come in all new games.

Don't waste your money
I bought this game for my 5 year old daughter who loved the movie. She won't play this on her gameboy at all. She plays with her sister's Nemo game. Don't waste your money.

Wow................. What a game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm a guy who likes to play action shoot 'em ups and I almost fell over when I played this game and liked it. The game is actualy a lot of fun. You can chose to be different characters and explore Scare Island, Through it's many leavels. You will rarly get bored and it is never frustrating. The skill level is rather low and is geared towards younger kids, but this dosent take away from the game. If you like the Spyro and Crash games, you'll love this one.

Wow, I gotta say... this game is pretty good. The graphics are nicely done, the loads are quick, and the mini movies clips are neat. I never saw the movie, but when I bought this game, I found out a whole lot about it. First of all, when I started playing this game, I thought "Oh man, this game is BORING!" Well, I thought wrong. The game begins with Mike or Sulley in the training area. Yes, you DO get to choose or switch off between the two characters. Later, you go to different levels of an area to scare these robot dudes. 99% of the time, you are successful unless you decide not to press any buttons. But why wouldn't you? Anyways, there aren't any BOSS levels in case you're wondering. The game is easy, I beat it 4 times, and you can save up to 4 files for 1 memory block. Overall, the game is neat, easy, and um.. Not for new users
My 5 year old daughter received a gameboy advanced with this game for her birthday.She tried playing it, after I read her the instructions but soon became frustrated.For a kid who has not had much exposure to video games this is not a good first game.I had a lot of fun with it but it does not "guide" the player, so you need to be able to read (and remember) the instructions.
