    Editorial Review

The toy industry can be as fickle as fashion design. The hottest toy of one year's holiday season can often be found in the heavily discounted clearance section mere months later. But through all the fads and trends, Play-Doh remains just as popular as ever. This comprehensive set features six cans of the Doh itself along with plastic rolling pins, scissors, extruding tools, and cookie cutter molds. But perhaps the set's best feature is one that may go overlooked: it's all stored in an incredibly convenient big plastic barrel with a sealable lid. Play-Doh, for all its numerous virtues, does tend to dry out over time as those little plastic cans are often accidentally left open. But if young modelers can just get the goo back in the barrel and close the lid, it should stay moist and pliable enough for future use. --Charlie Williams ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The kids LOVE it
As soon as we got it my two kids (and myself) started to play with everything. It's great, my 2 yr old and 7 yr old sat and played with this for over 2 hours. Great buy!

5-0 out of 5 stars 3-yr old loves this...
I got this for my son's 3rd birthday. He wasn't too into playdoh before now, and when we did play, I had to make everything. He'd ask me to make complicated things (bulldozer, vacuum) and get really frustrated when I tried to get him to make things. Since we got this bucket he loves it and plays on his own for at least 30 minutes! He needs help now and then but he really enjoys all the parts. We've only had it a few days but we've played with it at least a few times each day since we got it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars fun toy for playdoh lovers
I bought this toy for my 3 year old daughter who loves playdoh and she loved it ...but the stand that connects to the oven always falls off so we just turn it upside down and play with it that way because there are cool shapes on the underside you can smash playdoh into. overall it is a good playdoh toy for playdoh lovers..

5-0 out of 5 stars One Cool Toy!
I gave this Play-Doh set to my son today for his 4th birthday and he loves it!He spent close to 5 hours straight "cooking" and "making dinner" for my husband and I.It is a great toy and I highly recommend it for kids who like to spend time creating different "meals" and putting them together themselves.I think that it teaches to clean up when done or the play-doh dries out, to wash the dishes and it's just a lot of fun. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars I'd recommend it!
My 3yo daughter received this as a birthday present. This is one of her favorite gifts. She will sit at her Play Doh table (although this doesn't come with a chair) and play independently for a long time. The marker caddy IS weird, as others have said. The holes aren't deep enough, but the markers have stayed in there so it's doing it's job, I guess. No problems with the legs, pumper, extruder or anything else here. The cans also stay in the legs for me. I would recommend this toy for your child. My daughter LOVES it! I'm glad I read the reviews to get tips on how to clean it. I'll try the vacuum! I was trying to clean it with a damp rag, which wasn't working! :-)

5-0 out of 5 stars Daughter loves it
When we first got this table for Christmas, I thought it would be such a mess.Well my daughter absolutely loves it.She got so many toys for Christmas but this is the one wear she wills stand and play for hours!Yes, playdough may be a little messy, but it cleans right off of the table, all you have to do is shake it upside down outside to get the playdough out of the cracks.Yes, it may come apart a little, but it is great she loves it.For 30.00 it is a great toy!

4-0 out of 5 stars My kids still enjoy it
My twins received this table for their second birthday. They are now three years old. They both share the table and enjoy hours of fun playing with their play-doh and drawing.

The post that holds the fuzzy hair guy broke.I called Hasbro and within days received a replacement.Their customer service is great.

I don't find it very difficult to clean as other poster indicated.I think it's a good table to have, if your kids enjoy playing with play-doh.

i really love play doh. i got this for christmas from santa, and i play with it almost every day. everything packs away in the bucket so it's easy for me to put away when my mommy says so.i can store other play doh gadgets in it also.i really love it.

5-0 out of 5 stars therapistmom
I initially bought this as a toy for work.Playdough is a great fine motor activity and can be used in a variety of ways during therapy sessions for kids of all ages.Of course, it found it's way into my 2 year olds hands and she loves it!Rolling out the dough and pressing out shapes..she could do this for hours. The plunger is a little difficult to use for little hands, and it may cause frustration if there is not and adult there to help. The little scissors are also a big hit and a great way to teach scissor skills. The bucket also keeps everything together. And if the playdough only gets put in the bucket and not their little containers..it still stays fresh. ... Mix and match 23 plastic parts (wheels, propellers, car grills, windshields, wings, etc.), and press them into shaped modeling clay to create fabulous vehicles. 5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for chubby baby hands
These are great for my 2 years old son's chubby hands! It makes him able to built something that we all know what it is, rather than a blob of Play-Doh that only he knows what it is and who gets mad at you when you can't tell what it is!

4-0 out of 5 stars great fun
I got this for my son when he was 2, as an airplane toy. This kept him quiet and busy for almost an hour. It allowed him to build cars etc before he was coordinated enough to accomplish it with his legos. A great toy. He's very sad that we've lost many of the pieces, but he still uses the suitcase for pretend games.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great item, Great value!
I have looked in the stores, and they don't seem to have anything that compares to the items in this kit. They have some kits that were selling for alot more than this item. The cheery faces included with this kit make for super cute and fun creations.I would say this gift is perfect for a child 2 1/2 years old through 4 or 5. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great hands on toy
I have a 4 year old autistic son and any toy we can find that helps his fine motor skills and keeps him engaged is a bonus. This toy hits the mark. The other great option is for him and his older bother to work together...one makes the teeth and one drillls and brushes with tooth paste(bug toothpaste that is).The Shrek head/jaw moves easily so you can pretend he talks etc....
Overall, good fun and fair price.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy
My daughter wasn't even two yet when she got this toy.My daughter can do it all herself, make the teeth and tongue (the best part)squeeze out the toothpaste and brush and drill Shrek's teeth. She loves Shrek but does not like to brush her teeth. After all the hours brushing Shrek's teeth she has been much more compliant brushing her teeth and letting me brush them to get them really clean. She has lots of fun playing with the toy and I am hoping it prepares her for her first visit to the dentist.

3-0 out of 5 stars There are better playdough sets
My 3 year old loves playdough and MLP so we bought her this. She uses all her other playdough sets but not this one. She is bored by the fact that all she can is make hair and accessories, the stage is hard to attach to the mirror and keeps falling off. I would get one of the food playdough sets (more pieces = more fun)

3-0 out of 5 stars Not what I thought it would be
I got this for my daughter for Christmas thinking how great it would be- the combination of play doh and ponies! However, it's near impossible to make the hair grow as long as it shows on the box and there's a lot of play doh that just gets stuck. The little plastic display stand doesn't really clip to the vanity mirror part either. My 3 yr. old tries to "cut" the hair, but it's not long enough for her to cut so she gets aggravated. At least she got 3 cans of play doh with it.

When we run out of play-doh, doh doh island becomes an exotic locale for several hot wheels dream cruises.

5-0 out of 5 stars toy and video are worth playing and watching
The toy was really great. Here's what it featured:
*3 characters -Mot(the yellow doh doh),Zlok (the blue doh doh) & Twango (the green doh doh)
*Doh Doh Island Tiki bowl set
    * 3 2 oz play dohs
    * MOld for tiki pins & bowl
    * Bonus VHS Tape:Doh Doh Island Adventures Volume 1
If you like this playset, buy the Tiki Tu (Red doh doh) or Twiki(Pink doh doh) figures wich are sold seperately or the Doh doh Island:Skishketballplayset which was the more recent doh doh playset.I sure wish there would be a Flango character figure(the turquise doh doh). You know,Flango was actually a character from the video.I mentioned there was a bonus video.THe video featured 6 episodes:
*"Birthdoh Cake" wher MOt has a birthday and Twango and Zlok argue over who's making the cake.So the two bakers bring both of the cakes to the birthday and Mot ruins the cakes because he likes to jump so much.So everyone tastes the cakes and they like 'em together.
*"Happy Doh Lucky" where Flango finds a bad luck sign-the diamonddohstone so Mot and Zlok bring it back to the cave. But they lose it when they seea snake and Flango has the doh stone which was really a toy ducky.
*"Hip Hip hair-ay"where Twikiwas starting to use Compound X instead of Doh Doh Hair Compound for Doh doh hair and uses them improperly.
*"Yo Ho Do" where Twango,Zlok and Mot are finding treausure and found it in Twiki's spetunias and it was Tiki Tu's treasure doh.
*"Video Doh Doh" where Flango is at theVIdeo arcade and is not very good at smashng Tikis. But when he sees a differnt point of himself he starts being good at it.
Well,I forgot the name of the lastepisode but in that episode,Mot wants to win the Tiki Bowl tournament but he can't hit the pins.So a splattasauras egg rolls by and Mot thinks its a bowling ball. Then he finds egg bowling ball and wins.
Great product for preschoolers. The video is worth watching and the playset is worth playing with.Too bad Doh Doh Island Adventures Volume 1 (2003) is not available on DVD.It's not even available in rental stores.THank You!

Ever since Play-Doh was first invented, children everywhere have enjoyed creating their own treats with the colorful modeling clay. Now young chefs can take their imaginative culinary play to another level with this George Foreman Grill. The battery-powered grill features simulated sizzling noises when you press down on the bottom side of the grill, and doubles as an easy-to-use mold for pressing miniature burgers, chops, chicken legs, and fish. Along with the authentic looking grill, the play set comes with three two-ounce cans and one five-ounce can of colored Play-Doh, two grill surfaces, a two-sided grease catcher and veggie mold, an extruder rail and one plate. 4-0 out of 5 stars AHH HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HAAA!!!
The other day I found one of these whilst walkin' through the clearance section of the local Toys 'R' Us, and just about died laughing. Well, actually I stopped laughing after I realized about a half-dozen folks were lookin' at me like I was some sorta mental case. I just couldn't help myself; this is one of the funniest freakin' things I've seen in quite some time. I simply couldn't believe they'd even THINK of makin' a Play-Doh Foreman grill, let alone actually manufacture one. Somethin' tells me the folks at Hasbro got into the good stash when they came up with this...

I tried out the "sizzling" sound effect, which sounds more like a bucket of water hittin' hot asphalt. The back part of the grill doubles as the shape-making extruder that a little young'un can use to squeeze out hot dogs, buns, and ketchup or mustard streams with the help of the shape template that also serves as a serving fork. Now I dunno `bout you, but I don't find extruded foodstuffs-- be they real or simulated-- all that appetizing for some reason...

A nice little bit of irony: the grease trap accessory is used to mold the veggie slices for the Play-Doh burgers, drumsticks, and such that are molded in a hidden compartment of the grill toy. Too funny...

Anyhoo, I decided to grab one of these as a gag gift for my mom, who has been hinting at me & my dad to get her a real Foreman grill for Mother's Day. I'm sure she'll get a big kick outta it... then she'll probably disown me. Hmmm... maybe I should let dad give it to her, instead; he's gotten used to sleepin' on the couch lately...

Add us to the list of happy parents-- Our 3 children have taken on the role of making meals in our house!Yippee! This grill is so cute and boy does it get the imagination rolling. The grilling sound that it makes helps with the realistic (yea, right) look of the food that comes from these molds. This appears to be a very sturdy toy -- especially with the abuse that it has taken so far.

One suggestion:buy more than one if you have a household filled with budding chefs.

On the menu tonight:fish, chicken legs, hamburgers, hot dogs and cheese fries!Mmmmmm!
