Great Toy
I had read a lot of reviews on this toy. My husband and I purchased this for our 4 year old daughter. It took us awhile to finally decide. What a great toy and made very well. The battery last very long. I just let her play with it and the end of the day we take in the battery and recharge it. She loves it! It does spin wheels are certain surfaces,but she has figure it out back and it up a little and move forward again. We are glad that we decided to get it and it made her birtday complete.

We love this truck, my daughter just got this Barbie Jeep for her 3rd Birthday and she is just thrilled with her new toy. Assembly was a bit more work then the reviews made it out to be. My first thought was to let the store put it together but after reading the reviews on this website that said it was "quick+easy" my husband and I decided to give it a try. It took about two hours (we took a few break's.)
We took our daughter to abig field where she could practice her steering and get a feel for the gas pedal.
This toy also has great developmental benefits such as eye-hand & eye-foot coordination. It also helps to stimulate their imagination.

great fun for all kids
I loved this jeep it fit's two kid's witch is great so if your child has a friend over they will not feel left out my daughter drive's her 2yr ols brother around in this jeep all the time they drive it every wher. My 2yr old climb's on it all the time is very durable I have even drive it. It is alot of fun and it help's my daughter how to pay attention to wear she is going sence she has to watch where she is driving. I would recomend this jeep to anyone it is well worth the money

great buy
my twins werea little over 1 when they got these and they have ridden the heck out of them since then. they loved them! they are now two and are finding them a little slow. we'll move up to the 5 mph now.

my son started riding when he was 1 1/2 he's now 2 1/2 and still enjoys riding as do the other children on my block its great fun and very durable highly recomend this ride on

What a Ride!!!
My husband drives a motorcycle, and our son loves to "ride." We happened upon this motorcycle in Toys R Us, and we could not leave the store without buying it! I took the model down to see if it was not too big, and he screamed the moment we took him off. I had everyone in the store looking at me!!! Builds Dendrites
We gave my son the Jeep Fire Rescue for his 4th birthday. I put it together, about 1.5 hours but easy, even the decals.I was impressed with my son's ability to negotiate curves, speed, switching to reverse and when he needs to, and when to stop.We are working on doing a figure 8 and he is progressing along very well.In the yard or driveway, I think he is building some major dendrites working with this toy.He loves it!

Great Buy
I bought this toy formy grandson at a ToysRUs store-it was only $250 plus tax, and I assembled it. Store wanted $25 to assemble, but I didn't do it to save the money. I did it because it my special gift to him. I did it in the house and trouble getting it outside-lucky my one door is 36" wide and by tilting it, I got it out. It is a heavy well made item. The hardest part was putting on the rear bumper as the holes didn't line up great, and I did it by myself. I also had trouble distinguishing between which screws to use. I bought the extended ToysRUs 1 year warranty, but cancelled it 4 days later when I learned that they believe it only comes with a 3month manufacturer warranty. The truth is that it comes with a full 1 year warranty and 6 months on the battery. In effect the warranty I bought and cancelled would have only extended the manufacturer's by 3 months. My grandson loves the shovel that comes with it. It will take patience to teach him how to drive it. He was using his left foot, looking everywhere but where he was going, didn't always have his hands on the wheel, was playing with the sound buttons, etc. It hurts when your foot is run over, too. He said it was his best special toy ever, and I enjoyed every minute of it. He won't be 3 till May and getting in and out is tough-he grabs the emergency light post to get in, so I worry if that will break. I can't wait to fill up the fire extinguisher for him. Be prepared to get holes in your lawn-he wanted to use that shovel all the time. But all that fun we had for an hour or so was more than worth the money and time I put in.

Worth The Money
I just purchased this jeep for my 2 1/2 year old son. He is big for his age & fits into the jeep perfectly. It is much larger than all of the other Jeep's we saw in the store.I cant imagine buying any other Jeep. The kids would out grow the other ones really fast!!

Also, I did get mine on sale. (...) You have the option to have it put together for an extra $20, but we passed. Only took about 30 minutes to put together. Not bad at all. I would strongly recommend that you pick the Jeep up if you can, the shipping charge is ridiculous!

The battery seems to work great. The little light is so cute! He loves to turn it on.

Overall, this is a great buy. You are better off to spend the extra $30 & have a larger Jeep that will last for years!! ... Read more

My kid loves being top dog!
I got this for my 8-year old and she instantly got on it and started running over other kids!

Great 1st timer
We bought this for my daughter's 1st birthday which was yesterday.She loves to climb on and off of it just after 1 day.She can't push the button herself yet but likes for us to push it so she can ride. She did accidently push it once and laughed when it started moving. After she realized the button made it move she pushed it and let off several times and laughed about it.I think she will really enjoy it this summer when she knows how to make it go on her own.

Excellent ride for the money
We purchased this for our 1 year old daughter on her 1st birthday. & she already was able to figure out how to manuever it. I was very impressed by the product for this age group. Reverse might be nice but at this age I dont know that she could figure it out. My only concern is the seat comes off fairly easy if the lock isnt just right. Lemon of a toy
I bought this ride on toy for my 3 year old daughter since she enjoyed her older sisters' jeep, I thought it would be fun for her to have her own.It worked for about a week and then never worked right after that.I bought new batteries for it, but nothing worked.It does not run very fast, if at all.It would go and then stop, needless to say my daughter will not even go in the car now.Maybe I just got a lemon car, but I was very disappointed in this product and would not waste the money on another one like it.

Grocery Getter
This VW was purchased for my daughter when she was too young to drive it. At 1 yr she was afraid of the electric engine noise. At 2 she could push the pedal but did not understand to keep her foot down and she had not enough strength to turn the wheel. At 3 years she was ready to drive! It has been reliable and durable. The batteries are still good after all this time but I have kept up on keeping them charged throughout the year even when not in use. This car is one-wheel drive and therefore does not go on anything except for carpet and perfectly level pavement. Does not go in grass or gravel at all.

Small Enough for Indoor Use
We got this car for our 22 month old daughter as an early Christmas gift.She loved opening and closing the door and going in and out of the one in the store.Fully assembled it is approx 3ft by 2ft so it's small enough to use and store in the house, which is nice because we live in a condo.My daughter can't steer it yet (it's harder to steer on carpet than vinyl)but she can push the pedal and foward/reverse buttons.She likes to store "treasures" in it and we often find our missing items in there.It's not that fast or powerful but it was able to pull me around in it.I think it's good for younger children and indoor use. ... perfect
my sister got this for christmas and i have to say it is durable.we live in a remote part of the country, and she took that jeep over 3 alfalfa fields, and two streems and brought it back covered in mud.She was so happy.and it's perfect because she is always wanting to drive my mom's car. :)

Great buy
Great bike. Runs great on grass. It's acutally pretty fast. My husband and I like that it STOPS when our daughter takes her foot off the gas, instead of continuing to coast.

My Child's First Car
My husband and I just got this Jeep for my daughter's second birthday.My daughter was THRILLED to say the least when she seen her "new car."She is a little above average height for her age (a little over 36 inches) and she was able to reach the pedal just fine.She has had it for 2 days now and has gotten pretty good with steering it.I highly recommend taking your child to an open field where they can practice without mowing down pedestrians.:)I gave this Jeep 3 stars for durability because we have only had it for two days and that is not an adaquite amount of time to fully judge it's durablity.However, my daughter id ride it around are small kitchen and hit the stove, chairs, and wall a few times and the Jeep was fine.This Jeep goes over grass, gravel, concrete, and just about anything!We were wuite surprised because we thought she would be getting stuck a lot and we'd have to do a lot of pushing.We had Toys R Us put together the Jeep because though my husband is quite the handyman, he just didn't have hours to put aside to asemble the Jeep.Toys R Us forgot to give us the instruction sheets so when we brought it home, we just winged it.It is very simple to operate, there's one pedal on the right that the child pushes to make the Jeep go forward.By pressing a botton near the cup holder by the floor, the child can make it go in reverse.We haven't showed her how to go in reverse yet because we want her to be able to feel comfortable going forward first.Without having an instruction sheet, we had no idea how long to charge the battery.We ended charging it for about eight hours.We intent on calling Toys R Us to get all the instruction sheets that come with the Jeep that we never recieved.Well I guess we didn't charge the battery long enough because it died about 2 hours later.Our daughter was so upset, she thought she had broken her "new car."So, my husband actually had to push her home in the Jeep-and the Jeep is not light.We fully intend on buying an extra battery and charger so that never happens.I highly recommend it for all of you who want to buy this Jeep for your child.I thought it to be educational because it teaches my daughter forward, backwards, left, and right and improves her motor skills.And fun?This toy is a definite 5 STARS!We could not keep her off of the Jeep.She was the envy of all the kids in the park.This Jeep is a definite MUST HAVE! ... one year old and have had to replace tires
We purchased this motorbike for my 4yr olds birthday last year...it is true the back training wheels do wear out..it is mainly rode on a concrete patio and driveway and ours goes fine in the yard...just last week I called the customer service # to find out if I could order replacement wheels and they gave me the name of the local service center..although it was about 60 miles away I called them and they shipped me the new wheels for a total of only $30...to me it was worth the money for the new wheels...I put the new wheels on myself and it has been going fine ever since...Although this is an expensive power wheel I would purchase this again

WE LOVE THIS TOY!!!!
We bought this for my sons 2nd birthday it was easy to put together and within 10 minutes of giving it to him he had it fiqured out and was racing around the yard, he thought he was big stuff because he now had a dirtbike that looked like his daddy's. It is a Great toy and I HIGHLEY RECOMMEND IT. The battery will last all day sometimes two days and takes 18 hrs to charge, it has been worth it seeing the smile on my sons face when racing around with his dad outside.

Great Ride On !
I bought this ride on for my 4 year old son for Christmas.It looks like the price has going up and also the shipping cost how going up as well.Good thing i bought it before Christmas when it was on sale and the shipping & handling costs were at a discount or i would have looked into purchasing a different ride on toy.

All in All, my son loves riding this battery operated bike.At first he was a lil scared to ride it, but he got used to it fast.He doesn't want to get off of it.The education value of the ride on is that he is learning how to go in reverse, steer, stop and go, almost like learning how to drive a car. ... Lil' Quad charger
After many failed attempts to find the right charger for the lil' quad, I finally came across a website to get the right one.Go to 1-800-sunbeam.com. It is the type A for the toddler series.Hope this helps some of you.

Little Powerhouse
My son recently received a Power Wheels jeep that had been in use for over 3 years before he got it.The batteries had not been charged as specified in the instructions, and they died shortly after he started using it.The jeep couldn't run on concrete, much less on grass.

I replaced both existing batteries with these, which incidentally are a different colour from the picture, and the jeep now runs fine on most surfaces.

It requires 18 hours charging time before you can use the batteries, so be prepared for some impatience before the vehicle can actually be used.You have to charge them after each use, and also once a month if the vehicle is not in use, at 16 hours each time.

Tech support from Fisher Price is non-existent in my part of the world, where 800 numbers are not accessible, because their site doesn't have a customer service or tech support e-mail address listed.I needed important information, because I learned that the model I have was recalled for electrical problems, and I wanted to see exactly which parts needed to be fixed to solve the problem.

I'm sure that these batteries will last a long time with proper care, but wish the tech support was better

Great Kart - Needs Improvement
My daughter got this at age 1 and is now age 3. Was great when she was 1 but the button push power isn't a grand idea - the button was not easy to push & hold - especially for long periods of time - like over a few seconds...I don't recommend it for the older toddler because it doesn't seem to carry size well - there isn't enough leg room now she's 3 and she needs help getting out only because her feet get stuck. Nice idea and cute - the child loves it even tho it isn't excellent - I think you'd be better buying a full size one for older toddler than to spend $99 on this one.

A lot of fun for your 1+ child!
We bought my daughter this "car" for her 1st birthday.She has had it for a little less than a month now, and has mastered driving it (she is a little advanced for her aged).We all enjoy this toy.The assembly was not difficult, but required a little time.

Good, but not practical or easy to use by a kid
I got one for my daughter 6 months ago. She is 2-1/2 years old. Initially she was thrilled to get it. But when she found out that it was difficult for her to make it go (the button was hard to push for her, and the steering was tough to co-ordinate), she got frustrated. Also, getting in and out was kind of unnerving, since she would accidently press the button, and the car would start moving. After 2 Boys it is still running
I bought this for oldest boy when he was two.He is now Five and he has had a blast on it, my younger boy now three has beat it to death as well.It still runs great after 2 boys, and almost three years.Battery is getting weaker, but that is to be expected after being stuck in mud, a pond, and even rolled 2 or three times(Yes these can be rolled just like a normal 4-wheeler). Fun toy I would buy another one.

High SpeedShift - Poor Design
After reading many reviews, we purchased this toy.The one poor design that no one mentions is the high speed shift.Once the cable is connected under the seat, the vehicle can be operated in low (2.5mph) or high (5mph) speeds.The manual reads: "IMPORTANT!To avoid damaging the motors and gears, stop the vehicle before shifting between low and high speed."

H-E-L-L-O???Anyone out there know many children capable of that process? This is unrealistic. To me, it's sounds like a very poor design.We have yet to connect the high speed because we don't feel our son will be capable of doing this feat each time he wants to go faster or slower.

Anyone have an experience with this?

PS.We just applied the traction bands.Will let you know how well they do work.

Doesn't do so well on grass
My daughter is 2 1/2 and she loves driving it on concrete.When she goes on the grassy area in my backyard, it always get stuck (I have more grass than concrete).The wheels are moving but the bike is not going anywhere.She's 24 lbs., so I think she is not heavy enough to get the back wheels moving on the grassy area.Is anyone else having this problem?If it did a better job on grass, I would give it 5 stars instead of 4. ... My son LOVES it!!
We bought this for our son for Christmas, at the time he was 1 1/2. We kept it inside for him to practice in the basement until it was warm enough to go outside. Once he got outside he loved it! I think he has had to ride it almost everyday since we took it outside, and it is still going strong. Every night we charge it so it is ready to go for the next day, and even the battery is still good. We have had others that riding on the grass wears the battery down really fast, but we have had no problems with this one.
My son is now two, and I'm not sure how much longer he will be able to ride it. He is only 30 pounds and is getting a little too big for it. We are now thinking of purchasing a bigger 4-wheeler. I will say you need to watch them close, he had tipped it backwards a couple of times trying to go up not very steep hills. We did get him a helmet so he knows he has to wear one when he gets older.
All around this is a great toy for smaller kids that want to imitate their older siblings!

Charger is not bad
First off, please read the entire listing for this charger.This is for two 6-volt batteries.Not one 12 volt battery.I don't know why people are giving it a bad review because they made the mistake of not reading the listing.

The charger hooks up very easily to the extremely large power wheels batteries, and it's very compact, so it wont take up much space.It would be nice if it had an LED indicator that let you know when the battery was charged, but it doesn't.So make sure to note the time when you put your batteries on it.

This is not anything special, it charges batteries.It's not like there is a huge variety of Power Wheels battery chargers out there, so this is about as good as it gets.Yes, it takes a long time (18 hours) to charge the batteries.That's a very bad thing, especially when you have a 4 year old who wants to ride in her jeep (which, by the way is nearly impossible to push when the batteries are disconnected.Trust me, I've tried.), But until we see an alternative (a rapid charger would be nice), this is it.

Wrong charger-how to tell
Ditto Denise's review.We, too, have a L'il Quad, single 6-volt.I was concerned this charger might not fit after reading the reviews but was unable to get anywhere with the Powerwheels website or customer service. So I ordered it-- no fit with or without the adapter. I went to their specified service dealer (25 miles away) and here's the deal:If your L'il Quad has a BLUE BATTERY this charger will NOT work.He's ordering me the right one.I don't know how else to get one.Annoying!

Wrong battery
This battery charger is listed as an accessory under the Go-Kart.However, the connection does not fit the battery in the Go-Kart.I do not recommend.

Beware - you may need a 12V System Battery Charger
The review by Amanda Richards prevented me from purchasing the wrong charger.I was about to place my order when I read it.I did need the 12V System Battery Charger which charges two 6V Rechargeable Batteries at the same time, not the Super 6V Battery Charger which only charges one battery at a time.

It is unfortunate that the site does not show all options for Battery Chargers for this product.This would allow the consumer to do their homework prior to placing their order and a happy consumer is typically a returning consumer.

3 Years and still running!
Grandpa & Grandma bought our 2 year old this jeep for his birthday.That was 3 years ago next month.We were thrilled it was a two seater so our older son (3 1/2 at the time) could share it.I highly recommend getting a 2 seater - even if you have one child.It hasn't stopped being used in 3 years - by everyone.My kids, the neighbors, cousins all love it.

Six months ago we had to purchase another battery (...) but overall felt we got a lot of use out of the original battery.We just noticed that the 2 back tires are beginning to wear out.You can realistically expect a couple of years worth of wear.It is a toy.It is made of plastic.And kids (at least my boys) love being on the rough side with it.

The kids love it so much We're considering purchasing two new vehicles next month for birthdays (and retiring our present jeep).They are WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT!

Best battery vehicle ever!
I got this jeep for my son's first birthday, and he is just about to turn 2, he loves it! He will be able to enjoy it for a long time!

My son LOVES his jeep!
Very easy for 2 adults to assemble. Took my husband and I about 45 minutes. The hardest part was waiting the 18 hours for the battery to be charged to watch my son enjoy his new toy! A word of advice, assemble and charge battery BEFORE giving to your child as a gift! We've had the jeep for 5 months now and it is extremely durable. HE loves to pick up his friend down the street and take him for a ride. He always puts the seatbelt on before driving it, and makes sure any passenger does the same. My only complaint is that it is difficult to steer. My son is just now learing to steer.The steering is very tight, and my son just wasn't strong enough to turn it. Button is hard for toddlers under 3 to press
I bought this toy for my son's 1st birthday. He is now 22 months and it is still hard for him to steer it and press the
"go" button.He still has fun with it and I am glad that I bought it, but even though the age said 12 months and over, I should've waited and bought him a bigger one once he got older.

Wonderful
My Son loves this ride. he even rides it in the house. He Hasnt been outside with it alot b.c it has been cold outside. But When it gets hot I know he is going to enjoy it more. Its real easy to use. all they do is push the button and it goes forward. I havent had to charge it since we got it for him for X-mas.

My 12 month old loves this car

Much too slow, has problems with any incline.
I bought this for my 5 year old daughter who is a light weight, but it is so slow even my skinny 3 year old son cannot get it up the smallest incline.I bought it with an extra battery but what a waste of money.My 3 year old has the jeep and it is so much faster and goes for quite a good time all over the yard. Save your money and buy the jeep!!Wish I could return mine now but I do not have the receit and its been a couple months now.

Needs help.
I am in total agreement that Fisher Price Power Wheels is "sexist" as put by another reviewer above.These are much too slow, even for the most timid little girl!We took ours back and got our 3-year-old the Kawasaki for boys.It is sooo much better and I wish they would wake up and read these reviews and do something about it.I'd love to spend whatever to get my little girl a quad ride on that lets her keep up with her older brother on his!It's obvious a change should be made after reading all these reviews!Come on Fisher Price!

Great toy-but not worth the money
