5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy
I had read a lot of reviews on this toy. My husband and I purchased this for our 4 year old daughter. It took us awhile to finally decide. What a great toy and made very well. The battery last very long. I just let her play with it and the end of the day we take in the battery and recharge it. She loves it! It does spin wheels are certain surfaces, but she has figure it out back and it up a little and move forward again. We are glad that we decided to get it and it made her birtday complete.

4-0 out of 5 stars go go power-wheels, Power-wheels power makes 'em go!
We love this truck, my daughter just got this Barbie Jeep for her 3rd Birthday and she is just thrilled with her new toy. Assembly was a bit more work then the reviews made it out to be. My first thought was to let the store put it together but after reading the reviews on this website that said it was "quick+easy" my husband and I decided to give it a try. It took about two hours (we took a few break's.)
We took our daughter to abig field where she could practice her steering and get a feel for the gas pedal.
This toy also has great developmental benefits such as eye-hand & eye-foot coordination. It also helps to stimulate their imagination.

5-0 out of 5 stars great fun for all kids

Editorial Review

Looks like you could ride all the way to the famed Milwaukee Harley factory and back on this toddler hog. Buttons on the frontproduce authentic rev-and-rumble, while another button (near the righthand grip) provides a single forward speed from the rechargeable 6-voltbattery. "Harley Davidson" flame decals decorate the sides, and the20-inch-wide rearend gives plenty of stability. Appropriate for a smallchild and a big flat area. --Richard Farr ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars great buy
my twins werea little over 1 when they got these and they have ridden the heck out of them since then. they loved them! they are now two and are finding them a little slow. we'll move up to the 5 mph now.

5-0 out of 5 stars excellant ride on
my son started riding when he was 1 1/2 he's now 2 1/2 and still enjoys riding as do the other children on my block its great fun and very durable highly recomend this ride on

5-0 out of 5 stars What a Ride!!!
My husband drives a motorcycle, and our son loves to "ride." We happened upon this motorcycle in Toys R Us, and we could not leave the store without buying it! I took the model down to see if it was not too big, and he screamed the moment we took him off. I had everyone in the store looking at me!!! Needless to say, our purchase has been paid for many times over as he loves his "bike." I would recommend this to anyone whose child loves to be outside and loves motorcycles. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Builds Dendrites
We gave my son the Jeep Fire Rescue for his 4th birthday. I put it together, about 1.5 hours but easy, even the decals.I was impressed with my son's ability to negotiate curves, speed, switching to reverse and when he needs to, and when to stop.We are working on doing a figure 8 and he is progressing along very well.In the yard or driveway, I think he is building some major dendrites working with this toy.He loves it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Buy
I bought this toy formy grandson at a ToysRUs store-it was only $250 plus tax, and I assembled it. Store wanted $25 to assemble, but I didn't do it to save the money. I did it because it my special gift to him. I did it in the house and trouble getting it outside-lucky my one door is 36" wide and by tilting it, I got it out. It is a heavy well made item. The hardest part was putting on the rear bumper as the holes didn't line up great, and I did it by myself. I also had trouble distinguishing between which screws to use. I bought the extended ToysRUs 1 year warranty, but cancelled it 4 days later when I learned that they believe it only comes with a 3month manufacturer warranty. The truth is that it comes with a full 1 year warranty and 6 months on the battery. In effect the warranty I bought and cancelled would have only extended the manufacturer's by 3 months. My grandson loves the shovel that comes with it. It will take patience to teach him how to drive it. He was using his left foot, looking everywhere but where he was going, didn't always have his hands on the wheel, was playing with the sound buttons, etc. It hurts when your foot is run over, too. He said it was his best special toy ever, and I enjoyed every minute of it. He won't be 3 till May and getting in and out is tough-he grabs the emergency light post to get in, so I worry if that will break. I can't wait to fill up the fire extinguisher for him. Be prepared to get holes in your lawn-he wanted to use that shovel all the time. But all that fun we had for an hour or so was more than worth the money and time I put in.

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth The Money
I just purchased this jeep for my 2 1/2 year old son. He is big for his age & fits into the jeep perfectly. It is much larger than all of the other Jeep's we saw in the store.I cant imagine buying any other Jeep. The kids would out grow the other ones really fast!!

Also, I did get mine on sale. (...) You have the option to have it put together for an extra $20, but we passed. Only took about 30 minutes to put together. Not bad at all. I would strongly recommend that you pick the Jeep up if you can, the shipping charge is ridiculous!

The battery seems to work great. The little light is so cute! He loves to turn it on.

Overall, this is a great buy. You are better off to spend the extra $30 & have a larger Jeep that will last for years!! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected.
I have a 19 month girl and purchased this toy for her 1st birthday. She loves to push things around. However, this toy does not steer, so she won't push it. And it is too wide for her to really scoot around on. She has way more fun with the $8.00 stroller I bought for her baby doll. I would not purchase this toy again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Multi-friendly
These parents of twins are happy with the hippo as a first birthday gift.Even though they were 11 weeks early (which makes them about 9 1/2 months size), they are trying to walk. The hippo does not get ahead of them while pushing in the walker set up.Other walkers we tried at friends' homes would roll too fast and they would fall forward. The gobble action works on carpet or hard floors. The wheels work well enough on carpet for my daughter to continue pushing when my son crawls on top.Any toy that can stand up to these two day after day is a good buy.

5-0 out of 5 stars "IPPAUW" works WONDERS
** This gobble n' go hippo or my sons way of saying it, "IPPAUW" (This is Pronounced IP and then Ow (like what you say when you get hurt ;) )...is their favorite new toy. Our sons are just starting to stand up (8 months old) and they LOVE peek-a-blocks (we have the wagon, giraffe, hippo, dumptruck, circus set, incrediblock, and shape sorter! they LOVE them ALL). But this hippo is one of their (and my) favorites!
** They squeal when ever they play with it. But I dont really recomend it for wobbly babies, mine are but I have a little technique. My twins seemed very fustrated that they couldnt run and walk like every one else. So they hold onto the couch and then sort of push it alon (with me holding their waist) I think with this help that they are really improving.
** They even love to watch "IPPAUW" gobble the blocks, which I have to say he does surprizingly well, maybe I just got lucky with a good one! I also like that the inside of his mouth is very soft so I dont have to worry about curious hands getting "gobbled" and then hurt.
** What I really love about this is that its stable, (although it doesnt turn too well), yet as another reviewer said, having swivel wheels may just make it harder for a new walker to start taking those first steps. It will be a great and fun way for my babies to learn to walk. I can see no way that this toy could be harmful, it moves well on our carpet, and it doesnt move too fast on tile for a shakey toddler. Its a very stable ride-on too, but I would NOT suggest you ride it outside
** Even my 3 year olds LOVE "Mr. Hippo". They love to ride him all over the house because "Mr. Hippo" is one of the few riding toys allowed in the house. My 3 year olds also think its a lawnmower ever since they saw one at a friends house, and since we only have one shopping cart they use it for that too, and, its so great to see their little imaginations at work, they pretend that they are taking their pet hippo on a walk! All the neighborhood kids LOVE him, even my twins daycare cot one!
** This hippo also gobbles more than peek-a-blocks wich all my kids think is even MORE hilarious, he gobbles other blocks, balls, and whatevers in its path, my 3 year olds say that his tummy is always very full!
** Since we have DOZENS, and I mean dozens, of peek-a-blocks, its a great place to store them other than the toychest (where they always end up on the bottom).
** But what really surprized me was that this hippo excited my sons so much that after hearing us reapeat the word "hippo" over and over again, they said "IPPAUW"!. I was SO excited, (even though they still didnt say "mommy" lol). This is an amazing acomplishment being that they could only say daddy, yummy, and "nehmo" (elmo).
** Its great to see all 4 of my kids enjoying a toy, and I know this will be a key factor in walking because my friends 13 month old gave it a 'spin' and whenever she ended up in a corner, wall, or piece of furniture, she would just stand there and look at us and say " uh-oh"... so cute. (she couldnt walk alone yet)
** Bravo for the Gobble n' Go Hippo for teaching cause and effect, walking (eventually), riding and SPEACH!

5-0 out of 5 stars Long Life
I bought this bike for my eldest daughters 1st birthday ,when they first came out, about ten years ago! My youngest children, 4 and 3 love to ride it and it is still in great condition. It is so easy to ride and fun to push the kids when we go for walks. My son just got a fancy trike for his 3rd birthday and he still prefers to ride this one. His other one has heavy rubber tires making it harder for little ones to learn to petal. I am going to by one for my nephew for his 2nd birthday!

4-0 out of 5 stars Years of use
We bought this for my first son four years ago. He is now five and still rides this. He even rides it together with my younger son (almost 4). This plastic tricycle is very durable, it has been thru a LOT. It rides very well on the wooden deck.

5-0 out of 5 stars perfect
my sister got this for christmas and i have to say it is durable.we live in a remote part of the country, and she took that jeep over 3 alfalfa fields, and two streems and brought it back covered in mud.She was so happy.and it's perfect because she is always wanting to drive my mom's car. :)

5-0 out of 5 stars Great buy
Great bike. Runs great on grass. It's acutally pretty fast. My husband and I like that it STOPS when our daughter takes her foot off the gas, instead of continuing to coast.

5-0 out of 5 stars My Child's First Car
My husband and I just got this Jeep for my daughter's second birthday. My daughter was THRILLED to say the least when she seen her "new car."She is a little above average height for her age (a little over 36 inches) and she was able to reach the pedal just fine. She has had it for 2 days now and has gotten pretty good with steering it.I highly recommend taking your child to an open field where they can practice without mowing down pedestrians.:)I gave this Jeep 3 stars for durability because we have only had it for two days and that is not an adaquite amount of time to fully judge it's durablity. However, my daughter id ride it around are small kitchen and hit the stove, chairs, and wall a few times and the Jeep was fine. This Jeep goes over grass, gravel, concrete, and just about anything! We were wuite surprised because we thought she would be getting stuck a lot and we'd have to do a lot of pushing. We had Toys R Us put together the Jeep because though my husband is quite the handyman, he just didn't have hours to put aside to asemble the Jeep.Toys R Us forgot to give us the instruction sheets so when we brought it home, we just winged it.It is very simple to operate, there's one pedal on the right that the child pushes to make the Jeep go forward.By pressing a botton near the cup holder by the floor, the child can make it go in reverse. We haven't showed her how to go in reverse yet because we want her to be able to feel comfortable going forward first.Without having an instruction sheet, we had no idea how long to charge the battery. We ended charging it for about eight hours. We intent on calling Toys R Us to get all the instruction sheets that come with the Jeep that we never recieved.Well I guess we didn't charge the battery long enough because it died about 2 hours later. Our daughter was so upset, she thought she had broken her "new car."So, my husband actually had to push her home in the Jeep-and the Jeep is not light. We fully intend on buying an extra battery and charger so that never happens.I highly recommend it for all of you who want to buy this Jeep for your child.I thought it to be educational because it teaches my daughter forward, backwards, left, and right and improves her motor skills. And fun? This toy is a definite 5 STARS!We could not keep her off of the Jeep. She was the envy of all the kids in the park. This Jeep is a definite MUST HAVE! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars one year old and have had to replace tires
We purchased this motorbike for my 4yr olds birthday last year...it is true the back training wheels do wear out..it is mainly rode on a concrete patio and driveway and ours goes fine in the yard...just last week I called the customer service # to find out if I could order replacement wheels and they gave me the name of the local service center..although it was about 60 miles away I called them and they shipped me the new wheels for a total of only $30...to me it was worth the money for the new wheels...I put the new wheels on myself and it has been going fine ever since...Although this is an expensive power wheel I would purchase this again

5-0 out of 5 stars WE LOVE THIS TOY!!!!
We bought this for my sons 2nd birthday it was easy to put together and within 10 minutes of giving it to him he had it fiqured out and was racing around the yard, he thought he was big stuff because he now had a dirtbike that looked like his daddy's. It is a Great toy and I HIGHLEY RECOMMEND IT. The battery will last all day sometimes two days and takes 18 hrs to charge, it has been worth it seeing the smile on my sons face when racing around with his dad outside.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Ride On !
I bought this ride on for my 4 year old son for Christmas. It looks like the price has going up and also the shipping cost how going up as well.Good thing i bought it before Christmas when it was on sale and the shipping & handling costs were at a discount or i would have looked into purchasing a different ride on toy.

All in All, my son loves riding this battery operated bike.At first he was a lil scared to ride it, but he got used to it fast.He doesn't want to get off of it.The education value of the ride on is that he is learning how to go in reverse, steer, stop and go, almost like learning how to drive a car. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Lil' Quad charger
After many failed attempts to find the right charger for the lil' quad, I finally came across a website to get the right one.Go to 1-800-sunbeam.com. It is the type A for the toddler series.Hope this helps some of you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Little Powerhouse
My son recently received a Power Wheels jeep that had been in use for over 3 years before he got it.The batteries had not been charged as specified in the instructions, and they died shortly after he started using it.The jeep couldn't run on concrete, much less on grass.

I replaced both existing batteries with these, which incidentally are a different colour from the picture, and the jeep now runs fine on most surfaces.

It requires 18 hours charging time before you can use the batteries, so be prepared for some impatience before the vehicle can actually be used. You have to charge them after each use, and also once a month if the vehicle is not in use, at 16 hours each time.

Tech support from Fisher Price is non-existent in my part of the world, where 800 numbers are not accessible, because their site doesn't have a customer service or tech support e-mail address listed.I needed important information, because I learned that the model I have was recalled for electrical problems, and I wanted to see exactly which parts needed to be fixed to solve the problem.

I'm sure that these batteries will last a long time with proper care, but wish the tech support was better

3-0 out of 5 stars Great Kart - Needs Improvement
My daughter got this at age 1 and is now age 3. Was great when she was 1 but the button push power isn't a grand idea - the button was not easy to push & hold - especially for long periods of time - like over a few seconds...I don't recommend it for the older toddler because it doesn't seem to carry size well - there isn't enough leg room now she's 3 and she needs help getting out only because her feet get stuck. Nice idea and cute - the child loves it even tho it isn't excellent - I think you'd be better buying a full size one for older toddler than to spend $99 on this one.

4-0 out of 5 stars A lot of fun for your 1+ child!
We bought my daughter this "car" for her 1st birthday. She has had it for a little less than a month now, and has mastered driving it (she is a little advanced for her aged). We all enjoy this toy.The assembly was not difficult, but required a little time.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good, but not practical or easy to use by a kid
I got one for my daughter 6 months ago. She is 2-1/2 years old. Initially she was thrilled to get it. But when she found out that it was difficult for her to make it go (the button was hard to push for her, and the steering was tough to co-ordinate), she got frustrated. Also, getting in and out was kind of unnerving, since she would accidently press the button, and the car would start moving. Also, the lack of a reverse gear made it difficult for her to get out of corners. I would recommend getting a more easy-to-use/safe car. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My son LOVES it!!
We bought this for our son for Christmas, at the time he was 1 1/2. We kept it inside for him to practice in the basement until it was warm enough to go outside. Once he got outside he loved it! I think he has had to ride it almost everyday since we took it outside, and it is still going strong. Every night we charge it so it is ready to go for the next day, and even the battery is still good. We have had others that riding on the grass wears the battery down really fast, but we have had no problems with this one.
My son is now two, and I'm not sure how much longer he will be able to ride it. He is only 30 pounds and is getting a little too big for it. We are now thinking of purchasing a bigger 4-wheeler. I will say you need to watch them close, he had tipped it backwards a couple of times trying to go up not very steep hills. We did get him a helmet so he knows he has to wear one when he gets older.
All around this is a great toy for smaller kids that want to imitate their older siblings!

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars Very disappointed
I purchased this for my 20 month old son, and he is not interested at all!In the Rock mode, the bottom does not curve very much so it really doesn't do much rocking. After about a month of him not playing with it, we moved up to the Ride mode.He played with it for about a day, but as soon as he saw me pushing him from behind with the parent's handle, he decided he wanted to do that.So now he hardly ever plays with it, and when he does, he pushes it around like a stroller.I guess soon I will just take the handle off, and see if he will ride it.However it seems to me that the handle is hard to turn side to side, so we might just have to go get a regular tricycle. We've only had it for a couple of months, so I hope as he gets older maybe he'll like it more.Overall, very disappointed and would never recommend this to anyone.

2-0 out of 5 stars Rock, Roll and Ride Delux
We bought the Fisher Price Rock, Roll and Ride Delux for my son shortly after his first birthday. He has only used the toy indoors in the rock mode, being that it was winter when we purchased it.We bought the Delux model because my son loves lights and sounds.Immediately when we bought it we noticed that the lights and sounds options did not function in the rock mode like they were intended to.The lights are supposed to go off when your child rocks it.I even got on it (I weigh 100 lbs) and rocked and couldnt get the lights to come on.There are little buttons in the steering column that seem to control lights and sound function that arent working properly. We are a bit disappointed seeing how we bought the delux version for the lights and sounds which dont function well.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great ride on for indoors and outdoors !!!
My son got this present for his first birthday and it is his favorite toy.He is able to ride it inside the house, or he just climbs on it and rocks and presses all the buttons. He also rides it outdoors. He absolutely loves this trike. He has been climbing on it by himself before he could even walk. This is a great toy!!! ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Button is hard for toddlers under 3 to press
I bought this toy for my son's 1st birthday. He is now 22 months and it is still hard for him to steer it and press the
"go" button. He still has fun with it and I am glad that I bought it, but even though the age said 12 months and over, I should've waited and bought him a bigger one once he got older.

4-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful
My Son loves this ride. he even rides it in the house. He Hasnt been outside with it alot b.c it has been cold outside. But When it gets hot I know he is going to enjoy it more. Its real easy to use. all they do is push the button and it goes forward. I havent had to charge it since we got it for him for X-mas.

4-0 out of 5 stars My 12 month old loves this car
After reading other reviews, I was a little hesitant to purchase this item.Other parents were a little discouraged by the push button start.I figured since I was so taken with all the other aspects, we would try it anyway. After approximately 10 minutes in the kart, my 12 month old was pressing the button and cruising in his new car.He absolutely loves it, and both myself and my husband are pleased with the purchase. The only feature I would add is reverse.Overall, a great buy. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Much too slow, has problems with any incline.
I bought this for my 5 year old daughter who is a light weight, but it is so slow even my skinny 3 year old son cannot get it up the smallest incline.I bought it with an extra battery but what a waste of money. My 3 year old has the jeep and it is so much faster and goes for quite a good time all over the yard. Save your money and buy the jeep!!Wish I could return mine now but I do not have the receit and its been a couple months now.

1-0 out of 5 stars Needs help.
I am in total agreement that Fisher Price Power Wheels is "sexist" as put by another reviewer above. These are much too slow, even for the most timid little girl!We took ours back and got our 3-year-old the Kawasaki for boys.It is sooo much better and I wish they would wake up and read these reviews and do something about it.I'd love to spend whatever to get my little girl a quad ride on that lets her keep up with her older brother on his! It's obvious a change should be made after reading all these reviews!Come on Fisher Price!

2-0 out of 5 stars Great toy-but not worth the money
We bought this for our daughter's 3rd bday, and my son who was 2 got a boy version(cant remeber the name)but the barbie one didn't go near as fast as his.We have had no problems with it other than its not that fast!!She refuses to ride it and I am hoping to sell and buy her a boy version!!One with two speeds. Why don't they make girl ones that go faster? ... Emblazoned with the Barbie logo and a cheerful floral motif, this PowerWheels Barbie vehicle was designed in the distinctive shape of the newVolkswagen Beetle. The battery-powered Beetle has a multicolored frame andmeasures nearly 3 feet long and 27 inches wide. Sturdy enough to hold one driverat a time (weighing a maximum of 50 pounds), the Beetle comes with adriver's-side door that opens and closes and a power lock brake thatautomatically stops the vehicle when the driver's foot comes off the pedal.Powered by a 6-volt rechargeable battery (included, along with a charger), theBeetle moves slowly in either forward or reverse. Some parents might find thecar a little on the noisy side when operated indoors. Adult assembly required.--Chris Burns ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars great toy
i read all the reviews from this toy and i agree with all the good reviews. it works great on sidewalks, if u want something to go off roading (grass)then u should try looking at the power wheels jeep... my daughter has fun with this and shes only 20 months old. this toy should be only for up to 3 years, there are other power wheels that are for 3 years and up, and on the box it does say 2mph, u have to remember this is for a small kid, u dont want them to be speed racer now do u? but this toy is great even my 8 month old likes to see her sister play in it. love it....

1-0 out of 5 stars Save your money
We bought this for our little girl when she was about 18 months old, when it would not drive we thought she might not weigh enough so we kept it hoping it would eventually work. She is now 4 years old and this vehicle has never worked right. The battery and charger work just fine, there is just no traction.Called into customer service and they told me to use a traction belt, it still did not work.

5-0 out of 5 stars Not a bad car for the price
I bought this VW beetle for my 22 month old daughter and she loves it.I was hesitant about buying this one because of all the bad reviews it got, and the fact that the specs clearly state that it is only for HARD SURFACES and not grass (which is where she primarily uses it).I compared this one with the Lil' Trail Rider ATV - they both have the same voltage battery and same max speed but, for some reason, the Lil' Trail Rider said it ran on grass.I figured if that ran on grass then why not this one?So I brought it home, plugged in the battery charger and put the car together (2 hours!).Even though the instructions said to charge the battery for 18 hours before first use, I thought I'd test it out just to make sure it would ride on the grass and it rode fine.My daughter rode around our back yard for about 30 min and it even went up a little slope with no problem! It DOES ride a lot better on the driveway, but I'm very happy with it's performance on the grass. It's a little slow (max 2.5 MPH) and my concern is that the older/heavier she gets, it will only get slower.Guess I'll have to wait and see.

P.S.I went to Toys R Us to buy this 'cause I didn't want to pay shipping charges and in the store it was $149.99.I told them that on-line it was only $99.98 and they matched the price! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars great for boys & girlsworth the $$$$$
i love how light & duable this toy is your child boy/girl will love it ..

5-0 out of 5 stars Great
My daughter got this trike for her 1st birthday last May and she really enjoys it! She can't reach the pedals yet, but she loves to pretend when me or my husband push her. I recommend this trike for any little girl! Five Stars all the way!

5-0 out of 5 stars Love it
We got this bike for my daughter for her 2nd birthday. She was a little small to reach the peddles, but pushed it around with her feet until she could reach. Now she is almost three and we can not go anywhere outside without her bike. The storage in the seat is great, she "hides" toys in there all the time. I like to use it to store water bottles for our long rides in the summer. The seat cover has popped off a few times, but pops right back on so it's no big deal, it's to be expected with a toddler. She loves it and I'm sure it is going to get much more use this summer. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This is not for children to ride on!
This is a dolly tricycle for the child to push the Little Mommy doll on. I try to keep my sister off it but she is 2 and she climbed on and could have been hurt. This is not for kids to ride on and if the earlier reviewer would have read about the product, they'd know.

5-0 out of 5 stars A GREAT TOY!!!!
My daughter got the pink & lavendar outfit Little Mommy dolls for Christmas & all of the Little Mommy accessories for her 3rd birthday. I was a little concerned about their durability due to some of the other reviews, but it's what she wanted so we got them. Now I am so glad we did!! Although they don't seem to be quite the quality we're used to seeing from Fisher Price, they are very sturdy & durable. You just have to make sure all the pieces snap into place while you're assembling it. My daughter has been playing with her little Mommy collection NON-STOP & we've not lost one piece or seen it wobble. This set is wonderful & my daughter has not tired of it at all!! It is great for building imagination & has turned my daughter into a great Little Mommy!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Waiting for X-mas!!!
I cannot wait to see my daughters face on Christmas morning when she sees her Little Mommy set. The tricycle is a dolly version of my daughters tricycle which may cause some confusion this is the only problem I foresee. As far as ratings go I am sure my daughter will have lots of fun with this toy she loves anything with wheels, educationally it will help teach empathy (the toy collection as a whole) and large motor skills as far as durability, well that remains to be seen! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Holds Up To A TougherThanNails Kid
We bought my then 3-yr old grandson this jeep for Christmas, to replace another power wheels he had grown out of (that by the way, still works great but he is too big for it now)It has now been almost a year and this jeep is still working great -- we live on a couple acres of hilly, mountainous land and this jeep battery never runs down -- we will replace it this year again, only because my child has worn this toy slap out!It is faded, some external pieces are broken, and just now the reverse is starting to not work all the time -- but the original battery is still strong and holds up to an all-day ride. ** There is ONE thing i would change if i could: the tires have NO traction at all and that becomes an occasional problem in my hilly yard.

4-0 out of 5 stars Power Wheels Firerock Jeep
I bought this for my 23 month old and we both are thrilled with it. It was very easy for my son to figure out how to make it go and switch from forward to reverse. Customers who wrote that it wasn't big enough for 2 kids, should have looked at the box more closely. It clearly states that the jeep is only for one child. I think the 3.5 mph is the perfect speed. If you are considering this item, I would buy it before you child turns 2. Although the manufacturer's recommended age is 3-6, I think 2-4, maybe 5, depending on your child's size would be more accurate, because of limited leg room. I think this is a great buy for under $200. It's very sturdy! My son hasn't mastered the art of steering yet, so we've had some fender benders and it's still holding up.

3-0 out of 5 stars disappointed
I bought this for my 31/2 yr old, and really wondered if they had sent the wrong one.I bought this because I thought that it could fit 2 children. The seat is big enough for him, but the leg room is no good. His knees are really at his chest, and he could not use this for more than another 6 months.I was disappointed, but I guess when you don't try it out (in a store) this is what happens.Otherwise, it's fine but for a younger/smaller child. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars bad item to purchase! don't waste your money!
We bought this truck last year for my 4 year old son. Assembly was easy emough. However, the stirring wheel was to hard for him to turn. So he could only go straight, unless me (& HUSBAND) helped him. I believe this is a problem with all these models?? I say that because my friend has the same problem with the one she bought. I can not find any websites to report this? But I believe "hot wheels" should know!

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun & Safe Truck.....Second one!!!!
We gave our son the silver/gray Truck afew years ago and him and his little brother have been using it non stop.We just recently gave our3 year old, his OWN Black Truck, for his Birthday and is just glowing with pride!!!So, we are now the proud owners of two Power Wheel Chevy Trucks. The Truck has velcro seat belts and two speeds, high and low and reverse. It has extra space behind the seats for carring those rocks or sticks that you may find along the way.The battery lasts for a good amount of time, depending on how much they drive it.We bought an extra for $50.00 so we would have an extra on hand.My boys have never had any problems steering the truck and absolutely love it!!!I wish there would of been toys around like this when I was little.
