2-0 out of 5 stars Looks Better in the Box!
Well the idea is great...First of all, where do you hang a thing this heavy? If you try a height low enough for your child to reach, it needs to have area to repel against, rather than hanging idly in the wind...The cord is difficult for small hands and our Spidey had not gotten a whole lot of use before the cord was jammed anyway.Great concept, and maybe better for a big kid, with cautious hands and the ability to reach tops of doors, but our four year old did not get much enjoyment out of it. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Was fun while it lasted
We bought this for my son's birthday. He loved (5 stars) it until... after about 15 minutes, it no longer bumped and went.(1 star) It just ran in place.I'll have to return it to the store and try again.

I would have rated the "How much fun is this toy?" higher if it had actually worked. When the car was running correctly it was FANTASTIC!Too bad that didn't last. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My first set of Marvel Minimates
If you don't know what minimates are, they are essentially lego men with more articulation and based off of other fictional characters usually.

So in this set of Marvel Minimates comes maskless spiderman, doc ock, captain america, and asorbing man.

First up, Maskless Spider-Man. Really with all the spidermen minimates available why this one? This could have been just an optional head with another spiderman instead of a whole new figure. Anyway, the included webbing backpack makes it worth it to have. That and for extra parts if you like customizing. Also the hair piece comes off easily.

Asorbing Man. Don't know much about the villian but I'm assuming he can asorb materials around him and change into them some how. The half and half effect is pulled off nicely here. The detailing on the rocky side is great all around. The included ball and chain accessory is great. But it is so heavy that Asorbaing man can't really weild it like you'd want him too. Still a cool minimate.

Doc Ock: This one is almost flawless. The arms plug into his back but don't have much articulation there (just up and down movement) which is the figure's only fault. His hair piece comes off with his glasses attached to reveal his eyes and bald head. Also you can take off his fat (you read that right) and put it on another minimate. I'm impressed with how much Art Asylum puts into making sure these figures stay compatiable with one another. All of the detailing is dead on accurate.

Captain America: Beautiful figure. His mask comes off to reveal the hero. He comes with the shield and a wrist band to hold the shield as well. And because the very cool gloved hands can't fit on his arms with the shield on, Art asylum included an extra glove less red hand to put on instead. Smart move. This is a stellar minimate. A definite must have.

This is just a great set to pick up and purchase. The only weak figure is maskless spiderman. Other than him the rest are terrific to play around with. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Although obviously more of a toy than a time-keeping device for the painstakingly punctual, this snazzy Spider-Man watch will still help kids get out the door in time to catch the bus. Much like an adult version, the watch is 9 inches long and will fit older kids' wrists, although holes are not punched high enough in the thick plastic strap to accommodate smaller wrists. The round watch face shows a spider silhouette on an orange background. Spider-Man--taken straight from the comic books--leaps across the bottom strap, and Spider-Man's hand shoots the beginnings of a web over the top strap. The watch is fairly simple to set with the tip of a pen, and displays the time, date, and seconds in different settings. The gray LCD screen is tiny, but should be easy enough for kids to read. The clear-plastic back of the watch can be opened (with no more than a fingernail!) to change the battery, but the watch strap cannot be changed. Made in China, the watch will undoubtedly not survive much abuse--but it does come with a one-year limited warranty against defective materials and workmanship. --David Morel ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!
I purchased this flashlight for my son's 4th birthday. Huge mistake. THe light projected nothing!!! The radio didn't even come on as though it was attempting to work! This product was a HUGE disappointment. I wish I would have read the other reviews prior to this purchase. I am a little surprised to see the product still offered, why offer such a terrible product. Thank goodness you allow customer's to offer a review!

1-0 out of 5 stars Garbage
I got this toy for my 5 year old son.I got the batteries in and nothing!!! It didnt work. After reading the reviews shame on me for not reading them before my purchase. Im too busy to return it am very dissapointed in this product.-100 should be the actual rating.

1-0 out of 5 stars My three year old is crying
My daughter just received this flashlight as a gift from her grandma and was excited to bring it to bed with her.The flashlight lasted for maybe five minutes then shorted out.Somehow, fiddling with it for a few minutes got it to work again. . . for about one minute. It looks like it's out for good.I came online to order a replacement but, after reading the other reviews, will save my money.

P.S.If I could have given this product zero stars I would have. ... Read more

Getting most action figures to sit on the shelf is futile. But not withNorman Osborn--eleven points of articulation and well-thought-out leg jointsallow him to sit in his chair in a more natural position. Granted, it doesn'tappear to be comfortable, but that could be due to the chair's special feature.Placing Norman's alter-ego mask on the chair and giving the seat a push makesthe mask emit one of three phrases and lights up its eyes. The Green Goblin maskdoesn't fit on Norman's head or rest well on his lap (as the packagingsuggests), but just pushing on the seat cushion to hear the villain's cackle isenough. The facial sculpt of Willem Dafoe could be better, but the figure issturdy and stands well without assistance. --A. Galindo ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Good to sit on a shelf but really that much fun?Maybe.
If you are a collector and want a good addition to your spiderman set then this one is really good for you.I told my 5 year old son to pick one toy at [local store] the other day and this is the one he picked. He got it home showed it to his friends and it has since been running in my feet ever since due to it laying on the floor. If he plays with it it's when I'm not looking but he does like it.Good toy but not great. ... Sporting a mod haircut, stylish sunglasses, and a flowing green trench coat, this Dock Ock action figure is most notable for the four clawed tentacles--handy for ensnaring arch enemy Spider-Man--that extend from his back. Unfortunately, the bendable tentacles insert rather awkwardly into the provided holes; the action figure, though, is solid-feeling. Doc stands nearly 6-1/2 inches tall. The shades are removable. --Andy Boynton ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Doc Ock better then the last one
This is the best Doc Ock movie figure made.
Of Course there were only 2 different Doc Ocks made for the movie.
The first one was the one with the tentacle attack action and then theres this one.
This is the best one. No silly action feature.
It has bendable tentacles.

Get this one while it lasts. This is ashortpacked figure.

Which kid doesnt want a doc ock figure to fight there spidey?

4-0 out of 5 stars Runs Small but Otherwise Cute
Got this costume in size 2-4 for my 3 year old who just barely fits a 3T.He is avg. height and weight for his age, and the costume seems OK length-wise, but it's cut very slim -- we just barely fit it over a t-shirt and lightweight shorts, and the neck closure is TIGHT (Velcro keeps popping open).Eye mask is ridiculous -- won't fit anybody in the house!Nevertheless, it IS Spidey and my son loves it & has been wearing it since we got it in the mail -- he refuses to get out of it.Hope it lasts till Halloween!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great... but the eyemask!
I bought this costume for my 2 1/2 yrs. boy.He loves it. The only bad thing about it is the eyemask. It doesn't fit at all, the elastic band is too small I'm thinking of buying a largerelastic band to correct it.The other thing about it is that in the back it comes with a velcro to close, if you're not carefull this velcro will damage the jumpsuit.

5-0 out of 5 stars SETTING IT STRAIGHT
Ok, I ORDERED THIS SPIDERMAN COSTUME IN SIZES 4-6 AND 7-10 one FOR MY 4 YEAR OLD AND THE OTHER FOR MY TALL 6 YEAR OLD.THEY BOTH FIT LIKE A DREAM.MY KIDS ARE AVERAGE WEIGHT FOR THEIR AGES, AND MY 6 YEAR OLD IS A BIT TALL STILL THIS COSTUME WAS GREAT.I READ OTHER REVIEWS STATING THAT THE MASK WAS TOO SMALL, NOT THE CASE AT ALL!I COULD WEAR IT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, AND I'M IN MY 20'S.Anyway, I really think this costumE is cute.It does not come with the shoe covers but what the heck for 20.00, it's worht it.I'd recommend getting the gloves to complete the costume, and some red socks. The material is a bit lightweight, so if you are in an area with a cold Autumn consider some long johns under the costume. Bottom, line, cute and fits right. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Bumps too slow
My 4 year old son LOVES Spider-man and was excited to play with the permanently sitting action figure that is supposed to be sitting on the "jet cycle," but the "jet cycle" is so slow that he tossed it aside and only plays with the action figure that should have articulated legs so that it would have more play value.I'm not sure just how durable the cycle is since it's never played with.

Nice concept, but could be more exciting if it ran a bit quicker, and would have more play value if the figure was articulated in the legs. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Spider-Dog
To me, this is a clear-cut case of cruelty to animals. Yeah that dog looks pretty happy doesn't it? How you would like it if someone forced you to dress up in a ridiculous looking costume for Halloween? At least humans do it voluntarily. Man these costumes are horrible. They should be banned from all existence. And why is the mask so utterly useless? Theres nothing even remotely mask-like about it. It just a scrap of cloth on the dog's head. Poor dog. I wonder if the dog can shoot webs out of it's paws. Then it could entangle the manufacturer of this suit in a web, see they how they like that. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars A good figure but needs a bit more in it for the price.
This figure is okay. It's the only toybiz figure I own. But do not be fooled there are some flaws. The Spiderman figure isn't quite as durable as I expected but I love that you can change the head from Spiderman mask to Peter Parker but it dosen't look like any of the comic book or movie Peter Parkers I've seen. His hair is to dark. The Shocker figure is attached to the wall. Personally I hate this because was expecting a seperate villain figure of the Shocker since I have no others. The Shockers head is the only thing that moves. Oh, And on the picture on amazon, it dosen't show the right Spiderman. In the picture he's taller, his head is smaller and his hand can unfold. In the real figure he's short, His head is slightlybigger and his hands are stuck in a fist. Though at least he's not always spinning webs like the other figures of spiderman. So I love that he can do more with punches then recieve them. Unfortunely, the so-called burglar trapping action almost never works and you usaully are forced to push The Shocker. In overall a great toy.

3-0 out of 5 stars SPIDERMAN AND THE SHOCKER...SORT OF...
This is a nice Spiderman figure.Even though he looks too skinny and the webbing on his costume looks too close together when compared to other ToyBiz Spiderman figures, it has other redeeming qualities. This figure has decent--and more useful--articulation than most figures.Head, neck, shoulders, arms, elbows, mid forearms, waist, hips, knees, mid-shin, and ankles all bend and/or rotate. It has an interchangeable head so that you can pose him with a Peter Parker head so it seems as if he has taken off his mask for a little fresh air.He has two fists instead of the overused "web shooting" pose.Personally, I think this is wonderful.Spidey can finally trade punches with the bad guys instead of spin webs all the time. Also, the joint at the waist only turns far enough to the left or the right to allow the spring action inside to work and make it look like Spidey is throwing a punch.Again, I think this is great. All the other Spiderman action figures we have bought have this joint and it turns the figure all the way around 360 degrees. No one can do that in real life. Not to mention that it is also the first joint that gets loose and his body will twist and turn around even when you don't want him to.The accessory is OK.The Shocker can be "trapped" to the wall that he is permanently attached to by "punching" him.The webbing that traps him doesn't always wrap around the Shocker every time it is activated.Only the Shocker's head moves, unfortunately. It would have been real nice to have him as a separate action figure, though.Or, they could have made it a 2-in-1 action figure pack.A good product for kids. ...
