5-0 out of 5 stars This one has been a big hit for two years now!
It is a simple design but for some reason that little door flap that the trains race through as they come down the hill is a joy for kids to see. This one has been played with for two years now and is good as new.

5-0 out of 5 stars Get's stuck
My son loves watching the trains come crashing through the tunnel trap door. But the smoke stack on the trains gets stuck in the small hole in the door.I taped a piece of brown construction paper on the inside of the door to fix the problem.

5-0 out of 5 stars A tunnel of fun!
My son has almost every bridge and tunnel made by Thomas, and this one rates among his favorite. He calls it the "spooky tunnel" and belly laughs each time the trains come shooting out the trap door.It is also a goof financial value since it does not cost any more than the basic ones. The only time we have had a problem with trains getting stuck is when we tried to use it with non-Thomas tracks (we have a few from the set out table came with). But with the Thomas tracks, it works fine.Just be warned that you can't back trains in through the door because it only opens one way. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Creepy!Don't buy it!
My daughter received this hideous imitation of a Barbie for her birthday.Who EVER thought that the twisted spine was a good idea??????
The real stinker is that my daughter loved the kareoke machine that came with it so I can't even exchange it!My advice is to NEVER buy this and if you were suckered into it to contact Mattel and complain.I certainly will.HIDEOUS!!!If I could have posted with zero stars I would have.

1-0 out of 5 stars very weird barbie
I agree with most. The doll is pretty much stuck in this bent position. Getting her changed into her other outfit was very difficult. She is way taller than regular barbie. Her arms and legs are about the only thing that is the everflex bendable. My 7yr old played with it for a couple days and thats it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Freakish
This doll is disgusting and freakish looking. You'd think with all the controversy over the unrealistic way regular Barbies look, the last thing they'd want to do is come out with such an emaciated looking doll. They could take away the pop clothes and karaoke machine and remarket this as a dolls of the world concentration camp barbie. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars I love this engine
This is my faveroite engine in the world. He is magnetic so he can connect to my other trains.Salty and i share so many adventures and he is my favorite. I love salty.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Cute
Salty is an adorable addition to our Thomas set.He really looks great going around the train table! We added Salty to our collection along with Cranky, as seen is "Salty's Secret" VHS.Salty is a good pick for the younger Thomas fans as he is a larger engine and easy to push along the track. Also very brightly colored!

5-0 out of 5 stars Salty looks different in the picture
The Salty that I own and all other ones i've seen in person have had three wheels. Also the real Salty has three wheels too. The magnet on Salty is very strong and it can pull a lot of cars. Salty runs smoothly on the track and his wheels work perfectly. This one is a great buy. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I know I say this every century...
"The Simpsons" is obviously the greatest TV show ever, and anybody who disagrees is on crack. That said, it's pretty hilarious that they've made action figures out of practically every minor character that ever appeared on the show, including several characters that don't even have official names (makes you wonder how many kids' Xmas lists the "Sarcastic Man" popped up on), and of course multiple versions of the main characters as they appear in specific episodes ("Resort Smithers," "Donuthead Homer").The other day I saw the "Stephan Hawking" action figure and I just about peed my pants laughing. But then you have this set, which is based on a tiny 30-second clip at the end of the episode about Mr. Burns' long-lost childhood teddy bear "Bobo."At some indeterminate point in the future, Burns has morphed into a head in a jar of formaldehyde (later a popular run on "Futurama") with a robotic body, while Smithers is naturally his iDog companion. Also included is Smithers as Bobo himself, a reference to an earlier part of the episode where he's trying to console Mr. Burns for the loss of his toy.

I have resisted spending hundreds of dollars trying to collect this entire series of "action figures" like some kind of dork, but I HAD to get this one - it's just so cool and obscure! If only they had made the Homer-drawn chariot into a fully-realized 3D thing!

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Future!
This is one great set in the World of Springfield line! It comes with three great figures that include Future Burns, Future Smithers, and Bobo Smithers. Future Burns is setup like a robot, with his head preserved in a glass container, and the rest of his figure a machine. Future Smithers is the head of Smithers on the body of a robot dog, complete with movable head and four legs. Bobo Smithers comes dressed as Bobo, Mr Burns beloved teddy bear, in a playful stance that actually allows the figure to keep from tipping over, despite being balanced on one leg. Something different about this set, is that the Smithers figures have the glasses glued into their heads, to prevent the tiny accessories from getting lost or damaged. The only real accesory that comes with this set is a beaten up little Bobo figure, somewhat larger than the Bobo that came with Burns Manor. The environment that comes with the set is big enough to hold the two larger figures, while Future Smither prances about. The actual set itself is purple with a yellow background of Homer being used as a slave to lead a cart of rocks. If you love the show or the toy line, this is a must have set!

4-0 out of 5 stars Simpsons Burns and Bobo set is a winner!!

4-0 out of 5 stars My 21 month old loves it!
We got this as a gift from a friend with a daughter the same age as ours. I didn't think she would like it but she absolutely LOVE IT! It is the only toy that she plays with everyday. She got it at 18 months and still plays with it daily! She needs help but is getting better and will soon be able to play with it on her own.

1-0 out of 5 stars Too difficult for a 2 year to use and it has a funny smell
I was really disappointed with this toy.It looked so cute in the package. It is too hard for a two year old to use.I even have some difficulty plugging the pieces into the holes.

It also has an odd smell - almost unbearable.I'm wondering if anybody has had the same experience.

3-0 out of 5 stars I'd recommend it!
I bough this for my son for Christmas. He is 22 Months old and if a hugh Elamo fan.He really loves the toy. However, I have to agree with the other review that this toy needs constant supervision. It is tricky for little hands and fingers to actually put the parts in the little holes. So we save this toy toplay with when Mom or Dad can play too! ... I bought this for my 6 year old, but my two year old son has taken it over.He sits there and listens to it all day.

5-0 out of 5 stars If your child loves Thomas....theywill LOVE this book too!
My son is a 3 1/2 year old Thomas fan.Usually I have a hard time getting him to read books independently, but with this book and Leap Pad System....he reads it at least once a day.He also likes the games and other fun things to do listed on the bottom of the book (like the different whistles sounds, Henry's emotions, etc.)

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Book!
My 4 year old daughter absolutely loves this book. She has 4 other leapstart books, but always chooses this one.She has used it so much that it is now starting to fall apart. She takes it everywhere she goes, even has to sleep with it.She also enjoys listening to her daddy read it to her before bed! Can't say enough about this book-recommend! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Transfer Freight, and Make a Bit of Noise Too!
My son is a Thomas the Tank Engine fanatic.Encouraging pretend playtime is easy especially when adding destinations to the existing train set.The Cargo Transfer Station was one of the items William received for his 3rd birthday, and as it turns out, it's the most beloved destination yet.

The Cargo Transfer Station is one of the NEW Wooden Railway Sights & Sounds Destinations.I didn't understand what that meant when I ordered the item, as I wasn't an authority on Thomas & Friends.Almost a year later, I can safely say that I have a working knowledge of the current railway system, and the beloved character engines. The NEW Wooden Railway Sights & Sounds Destinations have multi-sensory capabilities. They make sounds.

One of the reasons the Thomas & Friends wooden railway was so appealing to me was because it didn't require batteries.I like the idea of child-powered toys, because I think it induces more creativity than a bunch of flashing lights, and noise.Personally, I was a bit disappointed when I discovered this toy was battery-operated.That said, my attitude on the noise issue doesn't matter to my son, as he adores this toy.Often times the switch is turned off, and I've noticed the lack of sounds doesn't take away from the fun factor.

Fortunately, the Cargo Transfer Station fit in my son's existing setup, so we didn't have to disassemble the Mountain Tunnel Set to make room for the new destination.Other destinations require a new setup, so I see this as a bonus. In addition, some of the Thomas & Friends bridges, or destinations are best placed in the center of a layout. This plaything can be placed anywhere within a layout, as it replaces a 6" straight track.

I wonder if Learning Curve made the right choice by introducing the NEW Wooden Railway Sights & Sounds Destinations to the line.A good part of this piece is made out of plastic whereas most of the other items in the line are wood.I realize the reason for using plastic is probably to reduce the price, but I also think it reduces the quality, and weakens the line.William's been playing with his train set for 10-months now, and we've had no issues. Then, he received the Cargo Transfer Station, and 5-months later it breaks. In my opinion, these plastic pieces lower the standard, although they may entertain your child.

5-0 out of 5 stars My son LOVES this!
Of all the Thomas pieces we hae, this is one of the few that my son always insisits on including in whatever the latest configuration is.It is costly (as are all Thomas things), but comes with cargo and two cargo cars.It makes cool noises and has a great working crane that swivels. Not a bad deal.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great product!
I bought this for my son for Christmas and it is great! The train engine, truck and crane noises make it really fun and interesting.Must warn you though, you will be buying more road track and a few characters for the road experience but well worth it and the imagination just flows! The race with Berty and Thomas, loading of the trains and the trucks- it's great for educational and dexerity purposes. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great if you don't want to waste money on batteries!
If you own Geotrax sets, you're probably going to waste a lot of money on batteries. Not just for the remote controlled engines, but also for the High Chimes clock tower. It only does one special feature: sounds. 3 "AAA" batteries are required for the sounds, which aren't even included! (Trust me, batteries aren't free.)

However, if you own Thomas & Friends sets, you'll probably save some money after buying the Castle clock tower. It does 3 special features: makes ratcheting and dinging sounds, raises and lowers its drawbridge, and even moves its clock hands to tell time. All without the use of batteries. All you have to do is turn the roof.

So, if you'd like a clock tower added to your train set, but don't want to waste a lot of money on batteries, I recommend you stick with Thomas & Friends as your rail and road system and buy the Castle clock tower.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the better accessories....
We have several of the accessories for Thomas: Cranky the Crane, the Water Tank, some others....This one is very good.It is very sturdy, probably the best built of all.My kids play with it as much as any of the others. It is physically a good looking accessory. You crank the top to raise and lower the bridge, you can set the time, it makes a bell sound.Frankly, your going to have to buy several of these accessories for extending your kid's imagination, and none of the choices are cheap. This is one I would include in my list.It will last as long as your set. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy, Great price.
My girls love this toy! My 4 year old had a hello kitty B-day party and received a lot of HK toys.Out of all of them this is by far the best.It is durable enough for my two year old to play with. Cute figures and furniture. They both love the doorbell feature...it has a bird and dog button also. Definetely recommend for the price.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very fun!
Quality construction. A very good value for the money. House folds into a very neat and pretty unit. The Victorian details of the house make it very attractive. If your child loves Hello Kitty,s/he will enjoy this!

4-0 out of 5 stars Cute for smaller hands
My daughter wanted this toy because she loves HK.The price seemed right for a toy that can be taken places and store all pieces inside. My only problem is that one half of the house opens and the children are forced to reach inside to grab the characters and/or furniture. If moms or dads played along you might have a difficult time retrieving the items and your own hand for that matter!Seems like durable plastic for house and furniture and the characters are rubber.A good pick for the money. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Serves the purpose!
This is as cute as it looks onscreen. The cd player works very well, no skipping, etc. We bought this for our 5-y/o daughter and she loves it. It's VERY easy to use/figure out. Even my 20-month old son has figured out how to use it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for HK fans of all ages
I found my Hello Kitty Pocketbook Boombox at Target and fell in love instantly! The design of the boombox is super cute and very durable. I take mine to work, on picnics and anywhere else I need some music and Hello Kitty. I get many compliments and questions, so it makes for a great conversation piece.

I have a young daughter that uses it for her read-along storybooks and language CDs, so it certainly can be of educational use. I use it with my iPod so I am never without music. The carrying strap is very durable. The boombox has withstood some minor bumps nicely, but I would not suggest buying it for children under 4 or those that tend to be rough with their toys. Reception is okay, but the sound is pretty good for something so small.(...)

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome
I think that it's great that they design a new Hello Kitty CD player every year or so. The design on this one is great because it is bright and the plastic house itself is just more solid than the previous two.

However, it has some of the same flaws as the previous models. This boombox works well in a small room or when working in a small area. Due to the popularity of CDs, I didn't miss the cassette deck. I did think that this boombox was a little expensive considering the sound output and lack of cassette deck.

This boombox also presents a new problem. The CD is placed in the player vertically, instead of horizontally. If you don't snap it onto the wheel inside, it could damage the CD, so you need to be careful.

To increase the educational value of this toy, someone suggested getting karaoke CDs with lyrics books. It is a great way to introduce reading or to improve on reading skills. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Loves It
This was the very first Thomas toy that we bought for my 2 year old.He now has several Thomas items and he still plays with it all the time (he even sleeps with it).The only bad part about it is that it is loud and annoying, but it does have an off switch to turn it off.

Overall, I think it was a great investment.

2-0 out of 5 stars Tips over when turning
My 2 and 1 yr. old love to play with this but they get frustrated. My kids don't always turn in a perfectly wide arc which is what this toy is designed for. Sometimes they'll make a sharp turn in the opposite direction. After turning around, the toy tips over. They fix it but when they turn again it tips again. I've had to teach my daughter to just expect the thing to tip and have a good attitude about it instead of getting frustrated and crying about it.

3-0 out of 5 stars It's Cute, But LOUD
This is a nice little train, although, it does tend to fall over a lot. When you pull the string it makes a chugging train sound then a loud horn noise. It's really really loud and scared my son the first few times. But now he seems to like the noise and occasionally dances to it, stangely enough. But for me, it's annoying. Thankfully there's an on/off switch. I would suggest this toy to die hard Thomas fans only. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Anyone can become a megamillionaire just like Mr. Burns with thiscollector's edition of Monopoly based on The Simpsons, the beloved,sometimes-controversial animated TV series. The rules of the game remain thesame, but the old Monopoly properties are now all Springfield landmarks, with anew monorail running across the game board. Players use tiny pewter game tokensof Bart, Homer, and other Springfield characters as they purchase stores, restaurants, and homes. Who wouldn't want to buy Krustylu Studios or theKwik-E-Mart? Instead of acquiring houses and hotels, players try to accumulate monorailstops and stations on their properties. Customized Chance and Community Chestcards offer additional sly references and cartoon drawings of the characters. The cultural references are up-to-the-minute, but the educational value ofplaying strategic board games remains constant. --Marcie Bovetz, mother andformer children's librarian ... Features

  • The World of Springfield and the World of Monopoly collide.
  • All the rules of Monopoly and all the style of The Simpsons.
  • Includes 6 collectible pewter tokens - Homer as the monorail conductor, Kang, Bart, Blinky, Santa's Little Helper and Jebediah Springfield.
  • Special Offer inside the game allows you to collect additional tokens.

5-0 out of 5 stars Simpsons monoply
This game kicks major @$$.
buy this over any other monoply game

4-0 out of 5 stars Exxxcellent!!!!
This is an extremely great version of what is the greatest board game ever created. The rules are of course exactly the same but the Simpsons properties, money, Chance and Community Chess cards and everything else make it a fresh experience. The fact that the game board and game tokens are monorail themed does date it a little reducing it to a four and a half star rating. I would have preferred it wasn't that way with just the four train stations monorail themed. It is still great though but I would also like to have seen more game tokens of the other family members especially Grandpa and Maggie, and also other characters like Mr Burns in addition or instead of the doughnut. They could have also put Snake in the jail cell on that corner of the board rather than the traditional Monopoly criminal icon and Chief Wigum on the Go to Jail Square but maybe I'm just being picky.

This is an excellent gift idea for anyone who even only occasionally enjoys the Simpsons and a must for anyone who is a fan. Also recommended to enjoy the game even more is Monopoly Companion The Players Guide by Philip Orbanes. This book will refresh the rules and save arguments and even teach you some, such as I never knew the number of houses was limited for a reason so that you could strategise and not buy hotels to stop someone else with a set from building.Just buy the game, you won't be disappointed!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great, Great Fun!!!!!!
This is by far the coolest monopoly edition to date; and i've seen them all. The attention to detail is amazing. You won't regret this buy. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very cute doll!
This is the only Barbie I've bought in recent years for the doll itself, not the clothing. Dandelion is a beautiful doll; the picture doesn't do her justice! I was won over by her purple eyes and mischevious smile (not prissy or seductive-looking like most other Barbies). I love dolls with oddly-colored hair and Dandelion's is a lovely bright orange. Her hairstyle fits her so well that I don't ever intend on taking it down!

My only complaint is the gaudy neon-yellow legs with the orange flower designs painted on. I dislike anything painted or modeled onto the body, but that's my personal opinion.

Complaint aside, Dandelion is quite possibly the cutest Barbie doll I've ever seen, and is well worth the $10. :)

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Cute
My 4 year old daughter received Dahlia and Dandilion in her easter basket, as well as the Fairytopia movie. She loves them.Other than Elina, these are the only character dolls from the movie. They are very cute. The wings don't seem very sturdy, they are glued on and a 4 year old could pull them off easily.Otherwise, very cute and sparks her imagination.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great doll
I got my 4 yr old the Elina, Dahilia and two sets of pixie dolls (1 fairy & 1 mermaid). She absolutely LOVES them! She carries them around and plays mommy and baby fairies with them.I love that the designs are moulded into the plastic, no pants to loose! We braided their hair (pony tails for the big dolls) and the hair has not gotten ratty. If you get Dahilia's hair wet, I imagine that the swirls will go away as they are stiff like they have spray starch in them. Not very educational, but they do prompt role playing and imagination.

4-0 out of 5 stars VERY cute, but one disappointment
I have to agree..she is very cute, even with pink hair. However, i don't know if anyone has noticed that on the back of the box it states: "magical" glowing wings. They don't glow!I was under the impression that the plastic wings glowed in the dark if you held them up to the light for a few seconds...but they don't. they are decorated with sparkle/glitter but nothing "GLOWS".Still a VERY cute barbie and I would buy the other ones in the collection. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Really cute set!!!!
I just purchased this item through Amazon.com and got it in two days!My daughters, 3 and 5 could not wait for me to open it.It is the cutest toy.First we opened Lila and the carriage. Then we opened the Enchanted Forest play set and wow was it nice. It's even better than displayed. All of the animals can fit on the swing and it has plates, saucers, forks, spoons, cups, play food and more.I even had fun playing with it.I wish the swing was a little longer but it's the perfect size for the animals or a small "kelly size" barbie.Overall this toy is adorable. And the price was amazing.Just the carriage and Lila alone can cost over $30.
