Yeah - Lots of People Complain with Dumb Reasons
People complain about that 'fake grin' on the dolls' faces.WELL, GUESS WHAT?I'd be shocked to find the Bratz's or even Barbie's makeup-coated 'collectible' faces on dolls that are supposed to represent eight-year-olds!I like to see eight-year-olds smiling, even with teeth showing.It shows that they're happy, and enjoying their childhood.

"I played with Stacie as a child, and she isn't the same anymore." Well, maybe she's changed for the better.She has more friends now, and I like her unbendable legs.That way, she can stand up.See how the label isn't "Stacie" anymore, but rather "Wee Three Friends"?More diversity, people!

"Breasts on eight-year-olds?"I had those TINY BREASTS when I was eight.

"They're so cheap!"Hmmm...maybe, because they are TOYS, not meant to be 'collectibles'?I don't see the freaking need to make girls' toys into collectibles.These are just being modest toys, not idols, or collectibles.Keep it simple.

Don't worry about the photo.The dolls come with a lot more than just that.There's plastic bottles; cameras - a lot more than what the photo shows.
The dolls are very strong.They have feet, and they stand up alone.They have an excellent friendship theme.Amd they are not anorexic.

Portuguese mom
I bought this lovely doll for my mother,who is Portuguese.She was thrilled. I ended up having to buy several more for the grandkids, as she won't let them touch hers! She is one popular and beautiful doll and everyone that has recieved one has been delighted.

Princess ofthe Danish Court or Cinderella?
I found this particular princess looked similar to the Disney version of Cinderella. I do not know if that is either good or bad. I just think that Mattel could have been more creative and designed a doll that doesn't look like Cinderella. She is pretty and worth the money if you like the doll.

Not-quite-fabulous
I've loved Barbies since they first came out, and I still believe dolls are to be PLAYED with, which is why I don't completely love this doll. She has awful hair, and what would it have cost them to throw a few snaps or some velcro on the back of her dress?

On the other hand, the dress IS gorgeous, and the shoes are fabulous. And I love her grave and dignified expression.

...And cheap!And I don't mean $$$ cheap. Unlike the other 'European' looking Dolls of the World that I own, this one is a little chinsy and it gets messed up. For example, the plastic rod in the bodice kept popping out and I didnt touch it, her hair uncurled and her hem between the blue and the goldish petticoat unraveled. 7 yr old LOVE it
My 7 yr old daughter wants to be a vet when she grows up :0) So this was a perfect toy for her. She loves it. The barbie is great, but my daughter mostly loves to play with the cat and dog on the x-ray machine.

The crappiest toy I have ever bought for my little sister.
As soon as she opened it the head fell off and the motorcycle had no handles on it.Even when we superglued the items back on other items fell off like her hair and also her clothes ripped.All of this happened and she only touched it once.I HAVE WARNED PARENTS NOT TO BUY THIS ITEM FOR THIER CHILDREN AND I SUGGEST THAT YOU DO THE SAME.

Barbie Batgirl is Toy Perfection!
This drool inducing Barbie doll is a must for Batgirl and Barbie collectors alike! Whether you're a fan of the newer, WB animated version of DC comics' hottest heroine (well, equal with Supergirl, anyway), or prefer the 1960's series Batgirl or Filmation's cartoon version,you'll find this doll a perfect blend of all three. But in the meantime, this doll makes a great display piece within the lovely box. Still, I hear she's also great for playtime, well made and more articulated than the usual Barbie doll, with a cycle that's equally fun. Barbie Batgirl is also available without the Toys R Us exclusive Cycle, but for the real fans, this is the only way to go! Now, I just hope I can get the Supergirl doll before they're all gone, along with Wonder Woman and the gorgeous new addition, Poison Ivy!

My Mom is getting Justice MacDonald,who works at the courthouse where she works, is going to the United States to get it for me, since I can't get it in Canada, where I live, so he's getting it for me for grading day! Sparked an interest in ballet
I was paying my little cousin a surprise visit, and I decided to get her a quick present.This was the cheapest doll on the shelf, so I bought her.And it sparked an interest in ballet in my cousin, and she is now signing up for classes.Thank you, Mattel!

Educational -

Pros - She encourages young girls to do ballet, or at least make SOMETHING of life instead of become just obsessed with fashion.And since Mattel doesn't provide too many accessories with her, young girls may create their own clothes for her - develop their creativity.

Cons - Her body is totally unrealistic - ever read the tale of the girl who had plastic surgery to look like her?


Durable - Yeah; her head doesn't pop off like THAT, her hair is easy to maintain, not falling out, and she doesn't come with so many accessories that get lost.


Personally, I prefer it that her legs are pink.Then she doesn't lok so naked when you take her clothes of - she looks like she's wearing stockings.

Barbie Lover's Mom
I bought this for my daughter's 4th birthday and at first sight she loved it!She is always trying to get my car keys and cell phone, so this seemed to be the perfect gift.She can't seem to put it down, and takes it everywhere we go.The only thing that I don't like is that the purse is see through plastic, and doesn't have a fastener to keep everything from falling out - which often happens.I would still recommend it as a great gift for Barbie lovers, and those very fashionable little girls who love to look like Mommy.

MORE BARBIE FUN!!
I purchased this toy as a Christmas gift for my 5-yr-old...but my 3-yr-old appreciated them so much more.Really cute to see her all dressed up with the Barbie sunglasses, and carrying a purse.It's really a riot; the keys makes noises when you push a button exactly the way a real car alarm would.

The Shedding Sparkle Barbie
When I first saw Barbie Fairytopia Sparkle Fairy Barbie I must admit I thought she was quite pretty. I still think this Barbie is beautiful. She is a lavender color and her entire body glitters with sparkles. Her body is a light lavender color topped off with a darker shade of lavender for her hair. She has gorgeous little fairy wings that jut out her back. The wings are white with dark lavender swirl designs on them. Sparkle Barbie has a lavender strapless half shirt that is painted onto her body(with glitter all over it). She is also wearing an "extremely" short lavender skirt with a white train that attaches in the back. She also has a lavender flower belt, and she is topped off with, yep you guessed it, lavender slippers. Even her lipstick is "lavender". Like I said, she really is a beautiful Barbie and probably the prettiest one that I have seen in the Fairytopia collection so far.

The wings are attached by sticking them into little holes in the back of Sparkle Fairy Barbie's back. There is also a little button that you can push to make the wings flap. The skirt, train, and slippers can be removed if you must (and of course, my daughter MUST undress every Barbie that she receives).

Don't let Sparkle Barbie's good looks fool you. She is a pain! I didn't think that anything could be quite as bad as the Fairytopia Mermaid, but Mermaid has met her match! Of course Haleigh loves her and she especially loves the wings. Mommy does NOT love the wings at all. They fall off all the time and I was constantly having to put them back on over and over again. It brought back nightmares of the fin that would never stay put. Haleigh understood that I was getting frustrated so she tried to attach the wings back itself. One wing broke in half and the spoke was stuck in Sparkle Barbie's back. I then heard screams and cries for days on end about how Barbie is now broken. When the wings were actually intact, it was impossible for my daughter to make the wings flap. Even when my husband or I flapped the wings for her, they only half way flapped and consistently got stuck.

Second, the glitter that is supposed to stay on Barbie and no one else simply does not stay put. Sparkle Barbie has shed glitter everywhere. If anyone has had experience with glitter, then you know it's not the easiest thing to clean up being so small. There was not a large amount of glitter shed, but enough for me to really dislike this Barbie.

The only good things that I can say about Barbie Fairytopia Lavender Sparkle Fairy Barbie is that the rest of her body is pretty durable. Even though she sheds glitter, the painted on shirt has not faded and her arms and legs are still in working order.

a great doll - but not for kids
I am a teenage girl collecting barbie dolls, and occasionally I play with them. I recently added this doll to my collection. I really love her, since she's gorgeous and the glitter doesn't come off (which is often a problem with glitter toys).

However, if your child is between the ages of 3 and 10, this might not be the right purchase for them. As a 'mature' collector I am always very careful with my dolls, but I'm sure you know that children often aren't. Since the wings are very fragile and will easily break, they're not really fit for children to play with.

I think that overall it's a wonderful doll, but children will need to be careful with it and that's not always an easy task while playing. ... Read more

One of many great my scene products
I got this for cristmas and I was so happy! As soon as I was done opening it I had to think of a new name for her.(I already had Masqurade Madness Barbie)So, I settled with Angie. For the person who wrote the review on this set being very educational, I'm behind you 110%

I saw this toy in stores...
It's actually not as bad as it looks. Barbie is quite pretty w/ long blonde hair and a pretty cool outfit. Ellis is also nice. So what if it's Ellis and Barbie?? If i had this toy, i would just pretend that Ellis is River. The car is very nice, looks durable enough--It has lepard printed seats! The car is cool and so are the dolls, 5 stars!

Very Cute and Unique.
My daughter saw this doll on TV and saved her tiny alowence up.Finally, we offered her a cash bonus for using the potty so she could get her fairy.That was the alsta accident she had."Blue fairy" is a much loved and the first of the many barbie we now owe.I was amazed by the joints, the details, and the overall quality of these dolls.It's absolutley beautiful and the sparkle shirt has not come off at all.(I expected it to wear off with in weeks.) The only 2 flaws were the hair (we did not take it out of the pony tail as I could see it was not meant to be brushed) and the wings would break very easily.Oh, and blue fairies bite.Really, they do.However after a month or so in the home, the biting stops (or so I am told).Beware, the pink fairies also bite when they first come home... ... Who wrote 'GROSS!'?
I think the SO CALLED DELANCY is my favorite myscene doll! So whoever wrote 'GROSS!' NEEDS TOJUST THINK; what if someone said HER favorite toy is junk? OH and P.S. she spelled 'always' wrong.

Absolutely Wonderful!
This styling head is so totally awesome! I have so much fun styling her gorgeous hair. The dark red streaks look amazing with the light blonde color of her hair. I think that the My Scene styling heads are very educational because they can teach how to style all different kinds of hair. This head has very thick gorgeous hair. It was a little ratty and tangled when I first took it out of the box. After brushing it for a while, it looked wonderful. Also the size of the head is actually very close to the size of an actual head (maybe like a toddler's). I am a 14-year-old boy and I have hours of fun styling this doll's hair!

The Happy Birthday Barbie doll is released annually, and this year she is as lovely--in much the same way--as she was the year before. This time, Cotillion chic supplants prom vogue. Heavy brown bangs replace last year's fringes. Fuchsia dominates over the purple or pink from before. The big bow that was a bustle or hat, is now at Barbie's waist. Get the point? A few things do add interest, like a tiny gift box (to fill with a ring for Mommy, or a jaw breaker for Daddy?). Nice unusual doll for the adult collector--really!
The use of the Generation girl face for other than the standard Caucasian Barbie is a nice change of pace, and for those adults who collect Barbies, especially those who redress and customize, this is a great doll to have.The dress is not much for the adult collector, and because of that the doll is overpriced, but how often do you see a lovely brown-skinned version of this head sculpt?

Birthday Gift For My Niece
I bought this gift for my 3 year old niece and she loved it. It came with a cute little tiara for the birthday girl. Unfortunately I think she was a bit too young for the toy because she wanted to undress it and she ended up losing the shoes. My sister ended up putting it away because she said that it was too nice for my niece to ruin. So what she did was she put it up on a shelf and it made a very nice display doll for my niece's room. I think that this doll is too pretty for a younger child to play with and ruin. I would recommend it for an older girl, or for use as a display for a collector or to add a touch of decoration for a little girls room to match the barbie comfortor, curtains, etc. ... Read more

Okay
I got this toy and after a while the head started coming off. Later the head just fell off all together. The durablity is not that good.

My daughter loves this!
My 6 year got this for Christmas last year and she still plays with it often.Unlike the the Barbie Primp and Polish styling head (I've read the bad reviews), this head has durable, easy to comb hair.It seems as if the hair has some kind of coating on it to keep it straight and silky.I've only had to untangle the hair once because she got a bow twisted in it.Other than that, we have no complaints.Maybe they should use the My Scene hair on all of their styling heads.

Take me out to the ball game… What could be more wholesome and fun than a baseball date with that hottie, Hudson? This carefree My Scene guy has managed to score free tickets to the baseball game of the season, and has asked his favorite girl to come along. With a couple of hot dogs and some soda-pop, he has dinner covered, and the entertainment is all laid out for them way down on the field. After all, diamonds are a girl's best friend, right? Thirteen-inch-tall Hudson is ready to play ball--or at least watch ball--in baseball cap, warm-up suit, and shades, and he also carries a sports duffel just in case he needs to bring along a blanket or extra snacks.
