5-0 out of 5 stars Finally a modest Barbie
I have two daughters,a 6 year old and a 4 year old.It has been a struggle finding dolls they can play with that are beautiful, but still modest in their clothing and looks. My girls love this doll and I'm excited to give them a role model that I agree with.As for the old concern of the Barbies' figure being unrealistic, I grew up playing with Barbies and still gained a realistic understanding that a Barbies' figure is unrealistic. It's a toy.Children understand that if the parents explain it to them.

4-0 out of 5 stars Lovely!
My three year old daughter loves this barbie doll. She has Erika also and loves it too. She plays with these more than her other barbies probably because they sing and she pretends they are sisters. I help her maintain her barbies though; she can be a little rough. Over all good by for barbie fans.

4-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Barbie Doll
I bought this doll as a gift and was very happy when she arrived.

She is even prettier than in the picture and very well made. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Toy
I had read a lot of reviews on this toy. My husband and I purchased this for our 4 year old daughter. It took us awhile to finally decide. What a great toy and made very well. The battery last very long. I just let her play with it and the end of the day we take in the battery and recharge it. She loves it! It does spin wheels are certain surfaces, but she has figure it out back and it up a little and move forward again. We are glad that we decided to get it and it made her birtday complete.

4-0 out of 5 stars go go power-wheels, Power-wheels power makes 'em go!
We love this truck, my daughter just got this Barbie Jeep for her 3rd Birthday and she is just thrilled with her new toy. Assembly was a bit more work then the reviews made it out to be. My first thought was to let the store put it together but after reading the reviews on this website that said it was "quick+easy" my husband and I decided to give it a try. It took about two hours (we took a few break's.)
We took our daughter to abig field where she could practice her steering and get a feel for the gas pedal.
This toy also has great developmental benefits such as eye-hand & eye-foot coordination. It also helps to stimulate their imagination.

5-0 out of 5 stars great fun for all kids
I loved this jeep it fit's two kid's witch is great so if your child has a friend over they will not feel left out my daughter drive's her 2yr ols brother around in this jeep all the time they drive it every wher. My 2yr old climb's on it all the time is very durable I have even drive it. It is alot of fun and it help's my daughter how to pay attention to wear she is going sence she has to watch where she is driving. I would recomend this jeep to anyone it is well worth the money

    she loves it!

so any other people who get this,my Little susie wants a piece of you!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great 1st timer
We bought this for my daughter's 1st birthday which was yesterday. She loves to climb on and off of it just after 1 day.She can't push the button herself yet but likes for us to push it so she can ride. She did accidently push it once and laughed when it started moving. After she realized the button made it move she pushed it and let off several times and laughed about it.I think she will really enjoy it this summer when she knows how to make it go on her own.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent ride for the money
We purchased this for our 1 year old daughter on her 1st birthday. & she already was able to figure out how to manuever it. I was very impressed by the product for this age group. Reverse might be nice but at this age I dont know that she could figure it out. My only concern is the seat comes off fairly easy if the lock isnt just right. Excellent purchase for the 1 year age group! She loves it ! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Yeah - Lots of People Complain with Dumb Reasons
People complain about that 'fake grin' on the dolls' faces.WELL, GUESS WHAT?I'd be shocked to find the Bratz's or even Barbie's makeup-coated 'collectible' faces on dolls that are supposed to represent eight-year-olds!I like to see eight-year-olds smiling, even with teeth showing. It shows that they're happy, and enjoying their childhood.

"I played with Stacie as a child, and she isn't the same anymore." Well, maybe she's changed for the better. She has more friends now, and I like her unbendable legs. That way, she can stand up.See how the label isn't "Stacie" anymore, but rather "Wee Three Friends"?More diversity, people!

"Breasts on eight-year-olds?"I had those TINY BREASTS when I was eight.

"They're so cheap!"Hmmm...maybe, because they are TOYS, not meant to be 'collectibles'?I don't see the freaking need to make girls' toys into collectibles. These are just being modest toys, not idols, or collectibles.Keep it simple.

"They are such wannabe fashion dolls!"(Sigh)These people completely miss the point. These are FRIENDSHIP DOLLS, not fashion dolls. They are not wannabe fashion dolls, because they are NOT TRYING TO BE!

Don't ask.I'm a Bratz fan, but I think these are better for children.

5-0 out of 5 stars HORRIBLE PHOTO!
Don't worry about the photo. The dolls come with a lot more than just that. There's plastic bottles; cameras - a lot more than what the photo shows.
The dolls are very strong. They have feet, and they stand up alone. They have an excellent friendship theme.Amd they are not anorexic.
The dolls are fun.I like them better than bratz.

5-0 out of 5 stars SomeoneSaid "No Diversity."
Here's something else.I hate Bratz. And Bratz are anorexic too. They show no diversity except skin colour and hair as well.So be quiet about it. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

Serafina, the pampered snowy-white companion of Princess Anneliese, certainly does not lack self-esteem. This chatty kitty burbles over with more than 75 one-liners, including, I am quite the talented kitty, and I love looking pretty. Squeeze her paw, stroke her back, kiss her nose, and Serafina responds with words, songs, purrs, head tosses, tail wags, and, of course, meows. Additionally, when her human friends set up Serafina's jewelry box next to a CD player and insert Serafina's Adventure (included), signals from the CD and jewelry box cause Serafina to do her feline thing! She'll also respond to the Barbie as The Princess and the Pauper and other Serafina DVDs and videos. Measuring a good 22 inches from pink-tipped ears to long fluffy tail, Serafina has blue eyes, a gem-studded crown, and a matching heart-shaped locket, as well as a brush to keep that lush pelt sleek and smooth. Her jewelry box requires one 9-volt battery (not included), and Kitty herself requires three AA batteries (Try Me batteries included, but you'll need fresh ones). --Emilie Coulter ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Daughter loves it!
My 5 1/2 year old daughter went on and on and on about wanting this item for Christmas. So, her Grandma and Grandpa bought it for her. She was THRILLED!!! She absolutley LOVES this cat. She pets her, carries her around, and combs her fur. My daughter LOVES watching the "Princess and the Pauper" DVD with Serafina. It does run through quite a few batteries, but even when the batteries have died, my daughter STILL plays/interacts with her. This is one of her favorite toys!

3-0 out of 5 stars Great toy for $20.00, but I wouldn't pay more
I bought Serafina for my 6 year old daughter at a Wal-Mart store for $19.88 (the website says $27.88).At $20.00, I can say that it was a good buy. Some stores are charging $30 or $40 and I wouldn't recommend paying that much for it.

Pros:Moves, talks, and purrs when you interact with it.Works alone or with the included CD and the movie.

Cons:It sounds a little too mechanical when it moves and the sounds are a little on the loud side.It sheds white fur a little when brushed and it sounds demonic when the batteries are almost dead.

Overall, I would say that it's worth $20, but I would say they could have made the mechanics run more silently.

5-0 out of 5 stars Cute toy
We got this toy for our daughter's 4th birthday. She wanted a real cat and this was our solution to not going to the pet store. She LOVES it. We didn't buy it for educational purpose's, we got it just for the fun. She doesnt let it outta her sight for long. Her 2 year old sister also enjoys trying to steal it away from her. It is a battery monster, and it definately does sound like a demon when the batteries are running low which is kinda creepy. So we just turn it off when we are needing to put new one's in. The jewelry box hasnt yet worked, but peyton our 4 year old doesnt know that, she pets it and play's with it enough that she gets plenty of interactiveness from it. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars 'The King' has broken his arm...
This is the 4th male doll we've owned from Mattel to have a broken arm. We've had three seperate Alan dolls from the Happy Family Collection with this problem.I must say that the company was very good in handling this, so I thought it must have been unique to the particular doll.My 8yr old then received King Dominick as a gift.Lo and behold, his arm was broken in no time at all, but unfortunately not before all of the packaging had been disposed of!So, let's see if I can exchange this with no box and no reciept.I'd like to say I'd never buy these again but the girls beg for them!
I,too, would have liked to see a seperate Julian doll.I have 4 girls close in age who like to play together so someone has to use the 'pretend' character- the Ken masquerading as Julian.

5-0 out of 5 stars This Ken Doll is U-G-L-Y
This is one of the ugliest dolls I have ever seen in my entire

life. His hair looks like a wig, and his face looks like a

monkey. He makes me sick.I really think this doll should be

taken off the market, as it is probably going to give some

small children nightmares.I hope I never have to look into

the face of this hideous doll again.Thanks.

2-0 out of 5 stars Lemon of a toy
I bought this ride on toy for my 3 year old daughter since she enjoyed her older sisters' jeep, I thought it would be fun for her to have her own.It worked for about a week and then never worked right after that.I bought new batteries for it, but nothing worked. It does not run very fast, if at all.It would go and then stop, needless to say my daughter will not even go in the car now.Maybe I just got a lemon car, but I was very disappointed in this product and would not waste the money on another one like it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Grocery Getter
This VW was purchased for my daughter when she was too young to drive it. At 1 yr she was afraid of the electric engine noise. At 2 she could push the pedal but did not understand to keep her foot down and she had not enough strength to turn the wheel. At 3 years she was ready to drive! It has been reliable and durable. The batteries are still good after all this time but I have kept up on keeping them charged throughout the year even when not in use. This car is one-wheel drive and therefore does not go on anything except for carpet and perfectly level pavement. Does not go in grass or gravel at all.

5-0 out of 5 stars Small Enough for Indoor Use
We got this car for our 22 month old daughter as an early Christmas gift. She loved opening and closing the door and going in and out of the one in the store.Fully assembled it is approx 3ft by 2ft so it's small enough to use and store in the house, which is nice because we live in a condo. My daughter can't steer it yet (it's harder to steer on carpet than vinyl)but she can push the pedal and foward/reverse buttons. She likes to store "treasures" in it and we often find our missing items in there. It's not that fast or powerful but it was able to pull me around in it.I think it's good for younger children and indoor use. ... So you are saying that these dolls are BAD role models??? LET ME CLUE YOU IN--DOLLS AREN'T ROLE-MODELS!
You 1 star reviewing, Christian mothers are just flat out hags!

I mean, ACTORS wear stuff like this, too! (I am taking acting next year and I'LL be wearing stuff that that, and im 12!!)

My mom dresses in tank tops, short skirts, and sandles, because it is NOT THE 1800'S ANYMORE! DUH! Fashion's changed over the past 200 years!

Right now, in my school, (and I go to an Elementery school) make up, and knee high boots are the popular trends from grades 4-6! I wear dark make up, long, dangling earrings, leather bracelets, black boots, and short skirts because i dress how i feel like(my parents also think it's okay, because we are only young for a while)

Fashion for all ages has CHANGED. It is NOT like we're reacting little house on the prarie!!!!

this is a nice doll, i like it, i recomend it!!!!!

My husband and I took our 3 1/2 yr old niece to the toystore Barbie isle and let her pick any toy she wanted and this was the one. She absolutely LOVES it! She hesitated between this one and another Fairytopia doll but since pink is her favorite color I think she chose this one in particular.

I gave 5 stars simply because of how much she loves it, 1 star because it's not educational at all as far as I can see. 3 stars for durability and 4 stars overall.

5-0 out of 5 stars A big hit at my house!

3-0 out of 5 stars Princess ofthe Danish Court or Cinderella?
I found this particular princess looked similar to the Disney version of Cinderella. I do not know if that is either good or bad. I just think that Mattel could have been more creative and designed a doll that doesn't look like Cinderella. She is pretty and worth the money if you like the doll.

    4-0 out of 5 stars Not-quite-fabulous
I've loved Barbies since they first came out, and I still believe dolls are to be PLAYED with, which is why I don't completely love this doll. She has awful hair, and what would it have cost them to throw a few snaps or some velcro on the back of her dress?

On the other hand, the dress IS gorgeous, and the shoes are fabulous. And I love her grave and dignified expression.

    4-0 out of 5 stars Very Beautiful,Historical....
...And cheap! And I don't mean $$$ cheap. Unlike the other 'European' looking Dolls of the World that I own, this one is a little chinsy and it gets messed up. For example, the plastic rod in the bodice kept popping out and I didnt touch it, her hair uncurled and her hem between the blue and the goldish petticoat unraveled. I was suprised that all happened and I had to purchase a new one because my others D.O.T.W arent like that. But it is really pretty and fun to play with!! ... Read more

It's not a Razor, but it's racy enough for a beginner. A hot pink stand-out in any public park, this manual scooter looks and rides swell, then folds up to fit into an 8-inch wide space. Unfolded and ready to go, its 31 inches high from the bottom of its clear, hard rubber wheels to the top of its easy-grip, collapsible, purple handlebars. The footboard is 20-inch long, too small for teenaged feet. All parents have to do is keep a good look out for beginner spills, or adjust the height and angle of the steering column for a different ride. Kids can take it from there. In case your kid likes to burn rubber, however, take time to teach her how to use the friction footbrake, located at the rear of the aluminum board. --Diane Beall ... Read more

This was a great buy. My girls are 4 and 7 and they love this toy! It packs easy for travel. Scooters fold and unfold easily in a minute! Attractive color. Durable build. Even the adults had to try out the new toys--nothing broke like I feared! Nothing marred or dented! Helmets and elbow/knee pads are recommended. My 4 needed them for sure! Rolls easily so be careful of unskilled kids on sloping pavements. Perfect Christmas gifts this year!

"Thank you Mommy, I love my scooter" is what I hear multiple times a day.She loves the Barbie colors and design and has learned quickly how to use it.She just pushes with one foot and rides around with such a smile. It folds up easily for storage or travel.Couldn't imagine another scooter making her happier. She completes the look with her Barbie helmet and her Barbie protective pads.

I was surprised to read the review about the girl who was standing still on the scooter and then spent three days in the hospital. Regardless of that my daughter has been riding scooters since she was three years old and of course you have to practice and have adult supervision but we've NEVER had a problem with broken bones. Not to say they don't happen. We love this scooter and have more then gotten our money out of it. She is six now and loving riding this scooter each day. ... Read more

My husband and I just got this Jeep for my daughter's second birthday. My daughter was THRILLED to say the least when she seen her "new car."She is a little above average height for her age (a little over 36 inches) and she was able to reach the pedal just fine. She has had it for 2 days now and has gotten pretty good with steering it.I highly recommend taking your child to an open field where they can practice without mowing down pedestrians.:)I gave this Jeep 3 stars for durability because we have only had it for two days and that is not an adaquite amount of time to fully judge it's durablity. However, my daughter id ride it around are small kitchen and hit the stove, chairs, and wall a few times and the Jeep was fine. This Jeep goes over grass, gravel, concrete, and just about anything! We were wuite surprised because we thought she would be getting stuck a lot and we'd have to do a lot of pushing. We had Toys R Us put together the Jeep because though my husband is quite the handyman, he just didn't have hours to put aside to asemble the Jeep.Toys R Us forgot to give us the instruction sheets so when we brought it home, we just winged it.It is very simple to operate, there's one pedal on the right that the child pushes to make the Jeep go forward.By pressing a botton near the cup holder by the floor, the child can make it go in reverse. We haven't showed her how to go in reverse yet because we want her to be able to feel comfortable going forward first.Without having an instruction sheet, we had no idea how long to charge the battery. We ended charging it for about eight hours. We intent on calling Toys R Us to get all the instruction sheets that come with the Jeep that we never recieved.Well I guess we didn't charge the battery long enough because it died about 2 hours later. Our daughter was so upset, she thought she had broken her "new car."So, my husband actually had to push her home in the Jeep-and the Jeep is not light. We fully intend on buying an extra battery and charger so that never happens.I highly recommend it for all of you who want to buy this Jeep for your child.I thought it to be educational because it teaches my daughter forward, backwards, left, and right and improves her motor skills. And fun? This toy is a definite 5 STARS!We could not keep her off of the Jeep. She was the envy of all the kids in the park. This Jeep is a definite MUST HAVE! ... This doll is so beautiful I really could not chose if I wanted the redhead with the peridot dress or the tawny colored hair with the red dress or the pale blonde in the purple dress. At this price?I bought them all! They are so utterly beautiful. The stunning, long hair is pale blonde, instead of the red or tawny hair, and the grown is purple this time (know my cousin Mary is going to love that!), but again so sophisticated. The makeup is perfect, not too little, not too much. Everything about these dolls is perfect. Sheer understated perfection.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful doll
I just received this lovely doll as a gift, and though I agree with a previous reviewer that Mattel could have used a nicer fabric for her dress, I have no complaints about her.Her hair is almost a strawberry blonde color, and her eyes are hazel instead of green or blue. For the price I think she's a gorgeous doll, and it's actually a shame to keep her in a box!

4-0 out of 5 stars Spellbound Lover doll
I am disappointed that they chose to use a material that feels like plastic to make the dress. I wish they would stop being so cheap and use better-quality fabric. Other than that, the doll seems very beautiful-attractive facial paint, lovely long hair, and pretty dress style.

5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Lovely
I am a Barbie collector of limited means and often have great difficulty in making my choices.I am not at all disappointed in this lovely lady. The fabric choices for her attire are simply gorgeous.I laugh when I remember making my own Barbie doll clothes as a child out of polyester and seersucker scraps. She is beautiful and beautifully dressed.I only wish I could win a lottery to be able to acquire more of these exquisite collectibles.I doubt she will leave the box again, no matter how much my kids beg. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Be prepared to comb for hours!
I thought this would be the perfect gift for my 3 1/2 year old daughter & initially, it was. When she opened it on Christmas Eve, even her adult aunts were fighting to play with it! While the wired hair makes it really easy to curl, it is also the downfall of the product. It takes FOREVER to comb out a hairstyle and always looks messy. Fortunately my daughter doesn't care that much but it definitely bothers me. The makeup and nails are ok. I think one definite plus is the size, much bigger than the older style heads. Overall, it's ok but needs quite a lot of maintenance, and really, who has time for that?

2-0 out of 5 stars CREEPY!!!
I was so excited for my 5 y.o. daughter to get her first Barbie Stylin' Head! She was tearing the box apart on Christmas morning without even finishing opening the other gifts, and it only took a few minutes to realize that this was a waste of our money.Barbie's hair is CREEPY!! They could've used one tenth the amount of hair and it would've still been fun, and with it being so thick and wirey, it is absolutely impossible to comb through. There's so much of it, you can't fit it all into a ponytail, like my daughter was so looking forward to doing, and it just always looks like a complete mess!Barbie has now found her permanent home, in the back of the closet, and will stay there until my daughter has forgotten about her and I can joyfully toss her in the garbage.Yuck!

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun for a while
Well I LOVE the Toy But it kinda gets boring after a while and the nails always fall off it's realy anouing!!I would have given the durable 5 star but the nails keep on falling and the hair is realy tangled! and the Water for the nails don't work very well neither does the makeup i use real makeup tho! But i Enjoyed it! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't hold air!
My 2 girls got this as a Christmas present & the first night they went to sleep on it, one had already gotten a leak & cried because she couldn't sleep on "her own bed".The other was deflated in the morning when we woke up.They didn't jump on them, either. We can't send them back because like most x-mas gifts, the boxes have been thrown out.

5-0 out of 5 stars Barbie Ready Bed
I ordered the Barbie ready bed for my daughter. We were a litle dissappointed, because the one in the picture, with the ballerina barbie on it was the one that we wanted. Well we never got that one, even after sending the first one I recieved back. But over-all she loves her ready bed. She has slept on it since the first day that my husband and I gave it to her!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT for sleepovers!
We live a few hours from family and when we visit, we always sleep on the floor in the living room.I bought 2 of these (one Scooby) for my 6 and 3 year old children because they always had trouble sleeping on the hard floor and we were up all night which left them quite cranky the following day.Since we got these beds, they sleep peacefully through the whole night, I no longer need to lug their pillows or extra blankets. They absolutely love them, which is important.I have caught them jumping like it's a trampoline, but they haven't sprung a leak yet!

The ONLY improvement I would like them to change is the valve. We have a small portable air pump that would make inflation a snap, but their valve doesn't fit any of the pumps out there and I even inquired about an adaptor but they don't offer one so you're left pumping by hand which is a pain. ... The Barbie Shop With Me Cash Register proves once again that Barbie is the coolest.Madedurably and in Barb's trademark colors (pink, hot pink, purple, white, etc.), this is a sleek number that canbe operated on the floor, bed, or tabletop. It features four realistic ways to buy noodles, yogurt, and toiletpaper. Option 1: A "clerk"--either a child or Barbie--scans the bar codes of included price tags. Option 2:You can manually input the price of items. Option 3: Items may be scrolled down the register. Option 4,which is, by the way, your humble writer's favorite: Make up your own prices! Get "Barbie Discounts"when you use your savings debit card. The Barbie register comes with a slew of accessories, including 18scannable price tags, play money, play credit/debit cards, a keypad, built-in microphone, and a 120-itemshopping catalogue offering everything from Barbie-brand jeans to junk food. The machine features ahigh-tech hand-held scanner and LCD on the register, which shows a customer's subtotal, item number, unitprice, and total. You get everything but a receipt. Hmmm.

A built-in microphone allows your child to make store announcements and call for price checks and itemvoids. This heightens the interaction this toy was built for, since Barbie's voice simulates the real shoppingexperience enough already. "Cash or charge?" she asks in a perky tone. Tip: If you don't pay up at oncewith your Barbie greenbacks or American Express-like credit card, you'll be harassed. We writers foundourselves fumbling through our own wallets, trolling for coupons. Barbie prompts the shopper throughoutthe entire process ("Seventeen dollars and twelve cents... No... seventeen dollars and TWELVE cents.").And parents--there's no volume control. If you just happen to sneak a play while your kid's eating lunch,well... everybody in the house will hear if your card is over the limit. Just kidding. But it's best to useBarbie's credit cards anyway. This kind of hectic shopping experience makes adults really appreciate theonline shopping experience, but kids will love it so much they'll forget it's just a pretend play toy. Registercomes with all accessories, manufacturer's warranty, a real grocery store coupon for a kid's treat, and thefour required AA batteries. --Diane Beall ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Educational and Fun!!!
This toy is very educational and fun. Like going shopping in your own home. It is very high tech and advanced. If I had to recommend a toy for a child this would be my number one choice.
It is educational because it has a built in calculator. Also when you have to give change you have to count out the right amount of money to give back to the customer.I am 11 years old and I stil play with mine. It is the best toy I have ever had. Very amazing!!!!!!! Kids are learning some math skills and are having fun doing it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very nice!
I have had this toy for such a long time and even though I'm 10 I Istill play with it!It even teaches little kids math skills!I don't like what the lady said about her kid not being able to read it because I had it when I was five and I still had fun with it. Still a great toy!

3-0 out of 5 stars Microphone will drive you crazy
I bought this register used at Goodwill for my 3 year old niece. She was with me when I bought it and loved it right away, even when the batteries weren't put in. We brought it home and her 15 month old sister adored it too. The only problem about this toy is the microphone. It absolutely drove their parents crazy! That's pretty much the only part of the register the girls played with and she figured out that if she put the microphone in her mouth and blew on it, a VERY loud feedback sound would occur! I didn't think the microphone was real when I bought it or that it would cause such problems. So, it is a good toy, but the microphone can be annoying, which is probably why I found the toy at Goodwill in the first place. :) ... Read more

There’s a party goin’ on at the Party Pad, and everyone’s invited! In an effort to raise money for a local animal shelter, Barbie, Madison, Chelsea, and the rest of the My Scene gang decide to throw a masquerade party in the DVD movie, Masquerade Madness. And what a party it is! My Scene followers will be thrilled to see this 23-minute DVD, and even happier to find Barbie all dolled up as a very sexy Butterfly Punk, complete with sparkly brown and copper wings, pink faux-fur jacket (at least we hope it’s faux; it is an animal shelter fund raiser, after all), belly-revealing top with lace front, sleek hip-hugging purple and pink camo cargo pants, and spiky high heel boots. Plus she has a costumed puppy, lots of accessories, and a whole other outfit, presumably for the after-party party. You fly, girl! Warning: Girls, don’t try these outfits at home--you’ll be grounded for a month! --Emilie Coulter ... Read more
