I HATE IT!!!
This doll is a waist of money. If I would go back in time and know about this doll, I would think about flushing MY money down the toylet before buying this HUNK OF JUNK!

A Beautiful Character Study
I saw her in the store today. I just had to get her. She is very good education, the clothes are realistic to the time period as well. I thought she looked so gorgeous. I love herface, whicht he photo makes look European. But my doll is very Asian looking. She is the only WORLD doll i have. I only am getting the Asian ones, they are the mos beautiful.

Anyway you wont be very dissapointed in her. She is beautiful.

One flaw is that her hands are in a 90 degree angle for good.
Her legs can bend. The suit is one piece.

i give it on a scale from 1 to 10

When I first saw the picture on amazon I thought this doll was a *must have* for any Barbie collector. When she arrived, though, I admit I was dissapointed that I didn't get that same "Wow" effect. However, after a few minutes of checking her out I determined I was indeed thrilled with my purchase! Being that I collect the Princess Dolls of the World collection, (and would have bought her anyway) I must say she is definitely one of the nicer dolls in the collection (and I am even considering buying a second to remove from the box!) Her hair, though not braided like in the pic Amazon shows, is indeed long (maybe somewhat braided or wavy, it's hard to tell) but gorgeous!. The dress (if you open the box) is not as nice,all one piece as opposed to the way it looks in the pic, but sadly, these DOTW dolls are simply a cheaper end doll and for the price, the dress is fine... overall I would give her 5 out of 5 stars for her appearance. The face looks more unique than many of the other Princess dolls and I personally think she does have a foreign look to her. Her eyes are hazel and her lips a nice dark color, her skin is also not so pale as typical barbie and definitely next to the Russian Princess, you can see her skin is certainly darker (perhaps not truly olive, like most Italians I know, but definitely not white). The box is a dissappointment on these as well. The new design makes them easier to open, however, most collectors will not even do that! I think it allows for dust to creep in easier..and when I did (I couldn't resist) open this one up I noticed the inner 'box' with the Italy backdrop on it was starting to warp already!? Brand new, huh...what will it look like in, say, 5 years!? Hmm... All in all, a must have for the DOTW Princess collector and a even a nice doll for any little girl (or big girl) to remove and play with! ... Read more

One of many great my scene products
I got this for cristmas and I was so happy! As soon as I was done opening it I had to think of a new name for her.(I already had Masqurade Madness Barbie)So, I settled with Angie. For the person who wrote the review on this set being very educational, I'm behind you 110%

I saw this toy in stores...
It's actually not as bad as it looks. Barbie is quite pretty w/ long blonde hair and a pretty cool outfit. Ellis is also nice. So what if it's Ellis and Barbie?? If i had this toy, i would just pretend that Ellis is River. The car is very nice, looks durable enough--It has lepard printed seats! The car is cool and so are the dolls, 5 stars!

Great for imaginative play
My daughter received this toy for Christmas.We have no trouble with the pieces falling apart.My daughter loves playing out the scene from the double wedding of Annalise and Ericka.

Piece of Junk!!!!
My daughter got this for Christmas and she was so excited for us to open it. It is the most flimsy and cheap toy. It will not stay together or stand up. The only durable parts of the toy are the wedding cake and the cats. Please, do not waste your money on this toy.

this was a christmas present and it continues to fall apart. the archways do not stay on them. too expensive for what you really get. i ended up putting most of it away except for the center cake piece and the cats. I would not buy it. ... Read more

"Oh, Sandy..."
Barbie continues to bridge the gap between straightforward Barbiephiles and movie memorabilia fanatics with another great "Barbie as" doll. This is Barbie as Sandy (Olsson), from the 1978 hit movie musical about the 50s, "Grease." The scene is "Tell me more," and this is the second fantastic doll in Barbie's "Grease" collection. This doll looks every bit as gorgeous as Olivia Newton-John did in her most famous role, wearing a yellow skirt and cardigan, white blouse, belt, and shoes, and an adorable 1950s hairstyle, complete with flowery hair ornaments. This is the Sandy I was in love with when I was a kid, not that tramped out, Peggy Bundy version from the end of the film, ha. A necessary addition to the collection of any "Grease" or Barbie fan, or even someone who just thinks Olivia Newton-John was a hottie as Sandy. *ahem* Dare we hope for a "Xanadu" collection in the future?

great pop culture collectible
Although it does not emit a great amount of educational value, this doll is a great addition to anyone's collection.It looks exactly like Olivia Newton-John from Grease.Anyone who is interested in doll collecting and pop culture would love her.The only flaw is that it does not offer accessories or added special touches for the amount you are being asked to pay.

Just a plain looking doll to me?
The doll has a nice outfit on, but when i saw her in the toy store i was not impressed considering she is a collector doll and all.Her face looks like a $10 dollar mold doll, okay even $15 dollars but they usually drop after that looking doll.Nothing special here.I would stay away unless you are just into collecting mint dolls. ... A great buy
I bought this dress for my daughter to wear on Halloween 2002 (when she was not quite 3), and she has since worn it again for Halloween and plays dressup in it almost every day. The previous reviewer must have had the wrong size sent to her, because my daughter is *very* tall for her age, and the dress fits her just fine (skirt fell to her ankles last year and now falls to mid-calf length). I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice the fabric was for such a low price - it has a soft velvet on top, a nice satiny cape and a pretty tulle skirt. i would've killed for this dress when I was little! :)

DOES NOT FIT 2T-4T
I just purchased this costume for my 3 yr old niece, who is very small for her age and this costume barely fits her! It is well above her knees in length. I don't know what 3 yr olds they were talking about when they said it is for 3 yrs and older because the costume I was sent is tiny! I wish someone had written a review on this earlier so I could've saved myself the trouble and just gotten her a different costume. So parents be warned, this costume looks more like it could fit an 18 month old...definitely NOT a 3 yr old. ... Read more

When making toy unicorns, the pressure is pretty much off. After all, if you invent some new attributes for the mythical animal, no one is going to say you got it wrong. With that in mind, this Barbie unicorn is a pretty interesting beast. She's purple with a bluish sparkly mane and big eyelashes. When you push her foot, her hard plastic horn lights up in a variety of colors and she either laughs or speaks one of a number of phrases ("I'm your girl", "Now this is a party"). As you might expect from a magical talking unicorn with a light-up horn, it can be a little annoying for parents but the volume is mercifully low and as long as she's consigned to a bedroom or play room, Mom and Dad should be fine. it's good
I think that it is kind of cool,but the clothes are that it comes with,are UGLY!I think that no one on American Idol wears that stuff.Stage is sooooooooooooooooo cool!

Butterfly Doesn't Flutter By
I was enchanted by this gorgeous butterfly and instantly bought it for my 5-year-old daughter.What a disappointment to discover that the legs fall out just about each time she picks it up.After much fussing with pushing the legs in as tightly as I could and returning it to her, we discovered that the wings keep falling off!It's very pretty, and it now sits on the shelf, but it's a great waste of money if your child actually wants to play with it.

This is such a fun toy!
This is a great toy! I love the way it flaps it's wings! It is so cute, and if you take the wings off, it can be a cricket! It has two seats, one for the little creature it comes with, and one for another barbie. The only bad thing is that the wings are very, very hard to put on. But ovarall, it is a great toy.

Summertime Fun
My daughter got this Barbie pool last year (when she was 5) and it has kept her VERY busy this summer.It seems a little small for Barbie dolls, but her Kelly dolls, Polly Pocket dolls and Strawberry Shortcake figurines have a wonderful time swimming, and taking swim lessons from Barbie.

The Best Doll

Poison Ivy is just GORGEOUS!
I love the Barbie as Poison Ivy doll! She is just beautifully done! The face that gorgeous red hair and voluminous too! They should have given Wonder Woman that much hair too. I have Barbie as Wonder woman, (2004's Mattel's version) Batgirl and Catwoman. All I need now is Supergirl. But i'm not too crazy for the new Supergirl costume. I love the costume more closer to Superman. By the way does anyone know if they are making Ken versions of the male superheroes? ie: Superman, Batman and Robin? That would be really cool!Anyway if you are a collector by Poison Ivy it's worth it!

Red hair, green eyes -- what's not to love.
Poison Ivy has long curly red hair that is beautiful in the display box, but also meant for play.Her shiny long green gloves, boots, and bathing beauty leotard really do shimmer in the light.She is also wearing pale green fishnet tights.

No piercings, no nail polish, but wears a green ivy necklace that clings to all the right curves.Her green suitcase has a handle that Barbie could actually hold, with a picture on on it that does not do justice to this beauty.

This price is right for play, customizing, or disply.Though this is not considered a collectible doll, she is, in my opinion, the best of the character dolls.

good toy
I bought this scooter for my daughter's 4th birthday. She loves it. We did encounter one problem though. Her foot kept hitting the training wheels when she would push. Since she wasn't ready to go on just two wheels yet, my husband took ONE of the training wheels off. This works great! There is still one on for balance, and her foot doesn't hit anything when she pushes. She loves the bag on front, too.

Hazardous
This scooter is awful.My rather small 5 year old received it as a gift and was constantly catching her foot on the training wheels trying to make it go and w/the trainers off there isn't enough room for her feet.It's definately going back to the store!

USELESS!
Try something else!The training wheels make the child unable to push with their foot, they are completely useless and hazardous.Once the training wheels are removed, three-year-olds don't have the coordination to operate on only two wheels. A waste of money. ... Read more

American Idol - Tori
When i first saw the American Idol dolls, the one that really appealed to me was Simone. They were having an auction to fundraise for a school trip..And Tori was for sale...So i placed my bid...and i won..At first, i was not going to take her out of the box, but i couldn't help myself....I just HAD to take her out! After 10 minutes of tearing open the rather tall and fragile doll, i tried to stand her up...she wouldn't stand..her stomach is rather aukward, in a bent possition. Her hands are wide and her fingers are very long....I also found that she cannot bend, as advertised. I must say, though, i do really love her make up! The shade of lipstick the doll is wearing apeals to me...Her hair is soft, but gets tangled once in a while..This doll doesn't seem like alot of fun to me, but i think this sort of doll would be fun to collect, in the box.
After a while i decided to change her clothes...She comes with flashy and colorful clothes that i think are very pretty....Tori comes with:
2 pairs of boots (1 pink and 1 black)
2 tops
1 skirt
1 pair of pants
a karaoke machine
3 mini CD's (they don't actually work)
and a bit more, i think
I have lost many of the peices this doll came with..
I think this doll is a good collectors item but not good to take out of the box....I would recomend it for collectors only, not for kids...I'm 12 and i play dolls still....I won't be buying another American Idol doll, for sure....~`

Dissapointed
My daugher just got this doll for easter, and first of all the doll is stuck bent to the side, and the leggs are too long for a barbie doll, my daughter had a hard time dressing her and the music box only plays one song

first of all, i'm an adult doll collector. i do purchase bratz and myscene dolls every so often to steal their clothing. i find BOTH of these dolls rather offensive. i hope you kids DO NOT look up to these dolls as role models. and to whomever said that blythe copied myscene and bratz you are wrong. i just felt i need to defend that because i'm an avid collector of blythe. she was produced in 1972 actually before most of your parents were even born.
