Great Toy
My son got this for his 4th b-day great toy its easy to put together easy to cary around and you can put your action figures in it. If your thinking of of purchasing just do it it is a great toy.

Holey rusted metal, Batman!
WOW!My younger brothers got this quite a few years ago, and the older version has different colors, but is exactly the same otherwise.This toy is amazingly fun!The chair and computer console, and the tank, all come off easily, so that was frustrating, but otherwise, all was great!

My brothers, as avid Batman fans and collectors, had a blast dropping Robin from the fall-in "glass" ceiling on the front of the mansion.The computer and it's chair are especially fun to play with.What seems to fuel a lot of imagination is the closet next to the computer screens.It can be rotated so that you put Batman in, turn it, and open the door to see Batman GONE!Whoa, right?The entire mansion itself can be collapsed, which is nice for travel to Grandma's or to the living room.

This toy supplies lots of fun, whether you like Batman or not!

Batcave
Great toy!My son got this toy several years ago, and he still plays with it frequently.It comes with the Alfred figure which you can't get anywhere else.It is also designed to work with the Shadowcast Batmobile, which just means the the Batmobile can drive through one of the walls--it just tilts up and the Batmobile goes under.My son didn't like that Batmobile because Robin couldn't ride with Batman, but the one designed for both figures is HUGE!!!It is durable, but the tank that comes off for the figures to fall in from the balcony gets harder and harder to get back on. ... OUTSTANDING collectible for Batman fans!!
There's only one thing I can say about this Batman figure; AWESOME!!Mattel has done a wonderful job with this figure, except for the cape is fixed more to being behind his back than being detachable to set as one pleases.I'm going to try and cut some fabric to make him various capes so he can stay in some of his coolest poses that require the cape spread of course.That qualm of mine is not worth downgrading the 5 star rating I give it however.Durability is given 3 stars because of the frailty of the utility belt; like stated in the other reviews please be careful with it. If you are a fan, GET IT,what are you waiting for?!

Best Batman
This is a Batman designed by a group called the Four Horseman especially for Mattel.It is the best looking Batsout there.It is a big version of Mattel's "zip line" Batman.This one has a retrctable cable or "zip line" for quick get aways.Several others should be forthcoming, including Robin, Joker & more Batman looks in special outfits, including the 70's Silver Age Batman with a blue cape and yellow circle bat emblem.Very durable.Cape is a combo of molded plastic at top and fabric at the bottom.Just buy it!

Very ULTIMATE Batman
Fantastic figure!A wonderful collectible, or just plain fun for kids.Wonderful sculpting makes this a great display piece, and the huge Batbase is a great touch.The accessories are a little flimsy, but for display purposes, they're just fine.Mattel did a great job with this one! ... Read more

Great figures and Collectors Piece
The figures and the assesories are what makes this set awsome.The Robin figure is one of a kind and looks great with his staff.This Minimate Version of Batman is also unique in that he comes with two capes. One of his capes can be spread open and his arms raised to look like he's ready to pounce on his enemies.They also include a normal cape, some cool "flip-open" type batarangs, and a suction-cup type grapple rope.The mini-batmobile is also neat in that when it moves the rear translucent flames rotate around.Overall this is a great building set that I feel is geared toward Batman collectors more than a childs "fun-factor".

Robin takes the prize
The best part about this set is the Robin figure. His accessories are fabulous. Batman, without the cape, is equally good. The cape is bad because of the awkward positioning of it. It is in two parts that swing back and forth, not fun at all. The batmobile itself is alright. Too bad it only seats one, leaving another to hang on for dear life. Overall, a good buy. ... Read more

great collection
My four year old has been very pleased with these figures. They all come with an accesorie. They seem to be of very good quality. Should provide hours of fun, plus they fit in the batmobile.

Coolest Batmobile so far
I rate this batmobile up there with the animated sereis one and the first to movies one.The rest are crrap.

NotBad!!
I got this batmobile and its not the one on the t.v. show, but it's pretty nifty! First of all the lights! Its cool , but they shoul have a button when the lights go on until you push off or a sound button. Its just that it makes sound and you have to hold it to get lights. the good thing is that it can fit a batman
really good, the missles shoot far, its durable, and it needs 3 AA batteries. (the 3-1 Batjet needs small ones.) If your a batman fan get it!! (it does not include the figure!)

UltimateBatmobile!!!

Hurrah for the Penguin!
After years of waiting, someone in America has made a great Penguin figure!Like many, I wasn't thrilled with the earlier version of one of my favorite characters, and I was even less thrilled that only one figure of him was released.How many Joker varients did we see?Not to mention the plethora of Batman varients.But at long last, Mattel has given us an animated New Adventures Penguin, complete with an umbrella!My only complaints are that he can't hold the umbrella in either hand and that the figure is only available in an exclusive 4-pack from Toys R Us.To some, it might be a bit pricey just to get one figure, but for those of us who waited so long for a good figure of the Penguin, it's well worth it.The other three figures (Batman, Batgirl, Nightwing) aren't too shabby, and the color scheme (gray and black) look pretty good.If you have the chance, buy this set!

Iceberg Loung Penguin at last!!!
I kept waiting for Amazon to post a picture of this set before I ordered, but I decided to just go ahead anyhow, and was I ever glad that I did!The bat gang is painted a bit strange, Batman actually looks like a comic book version though... The entire gang is wearing grey tights, black gloves, and black boots.This look actually is not bad on Batgirl, but on Nightwing it is a bit odd.The creme de la creme of the set would have to be the Penguin.I was not fond of the series' earlier attempts at making him look like the DeVito version, and was hoping for a better figure towards the end of the Hasbro run. Love this toy!
We have five of these large Justice League action figures and they are GREAT.Our 2 boys (5 and 3yrs.) play with them every day, and they play hard.The toys are durable and attractive.I like that the arms and legs have only one point of articulation.It makes it easy for my kids to make them stand.Some of the smaller action figures frustrate them because they tip over too easily. Wonder Woman's legs sometimes get out of whack but they are easily fixed.We really love these and we are hoping to find Aquaman and Green Lantern in our stores soon.

Superman.....Super Toy
I bought Superman, along with Batman and Aquaman, for my 6 year-old son's birthday - he loves them!!Along with his 2 younger brothers, the 3 of them can imitate the action-packed adventures they watch on the TV show Justice League Unlimited.I love the durability and the fact that there are no small, little, removable parts to lose and scatter throughout the house.We'll be purchasing The Flash and a couple of the others for Christmas.

EXCELLENT FOR DISPLAY IN ITS BOX
I must say i love this toy. I am a collector and because of that i wont open it to play with it. i think its just perfecto for display it in his box. Its big, excellent replica from the tv show and very cheap compare to his price. I already have the whole set (aquaman, martian, batman, superman, green lantern, wonder woman an flash). Hawkgirl is coming out late october 2004. As an action figure its not that good to play with it due to his lack of articulation, but as i said before, for dispaying its just perfetc. It comes in a window box package. Cool vehicle, great figures
If you're familar with Art Asylum's great Minimate brand of Lego-like figures and C3 building sets then you already know how great they are.If not and your a blockhead(read building block fan) like me you're bound to love these vehicles and figures.The Minimates are, in my opinion, what Lego's minifigures should be like.The Batman and Catwoman figures have realy neat equipment plus, get this, 14 points of articulation!How cool is that?What's neater yet is that they're Batman figures. Haven't tried Minimates yet, why not give 'em a whirl.The blocks alone are, in my humble oppinion, every bit as sturdy as Lego's and the figures are very sturdy.Enjoy!! ... Read more

Batman Costume full of fun!!!!!!!!
I just ordered this costume for my 3 year old and he is in love.The muscle chest is very durable and is lasting through many jumps and rolls.Considering he has worn it non-stop since we got it, it seems to be holding up quite well.I would recommend this costume to any costume loving child.Good fun!!

A Very Fun Time For Halloween
I haven't worn this costume for two years, but I still remember it fondly. This Batman animated series based costume comes with an attatched cape and cowl, muscled jumpsuit with attatched boot tops and wrist peices, and a yellow belt.
The first time I put on the jusmpsuit, I felt rather cramped, but after a few hours wear it broke in nicely. The muscle chest piece is oversized, I confess, but you can't help feeling bold when you're muscled up. The jusmpsuit is very comfortable, and the whole suit breathes rather nicely.
The next to donning the famous suit of the caped crusader is fastening on the cape and cowl. A nice point about this particular costume is the cape can be held on without the mask by convenient tie strings. This leaves the mask the option to slide on and off the head easily for, say, drinks or such. The cape is rather thin, but more long and flowing thatn other Batman costumes. It survived getting caught in the wheels of a wagon, although it came out with a few tears and rips. Oh well.
The last piece of the bat-costume is the yellow batbelt supplied with the costume. It yellow and shiny, and is very flexible and comfy. If it is bent it returns to the original shape, so you don't lose that authentic look
Overall I'd say I blast with this costume roleplaying, before and after Halloween. But then, every Batman costume I owned was fun to me, although I wouldn't hesitate to buy this costume for any trick-or-treater, espacially since it is such a great price.

great costume!
MY 6 YEAR OLD WORE THIS FOR HALLOWEEN LAST YEAR AND EVERYBODY LOVED IT!VERY GOOD COSTUME!HE STILL WEARS IT AROUND THE HOUSE!IT IS MADE VERY GOOD!

You can't go wrong
whether your child loves superheroes or any kind of dress up - this is a winner!A great price, very comfortable and one of their favorites under the tree (we bought the Superman, too).My kids are 3 (slightly over 35 lbs.) and 5 - the fit is fine.They jut up just a bit at the shoulders, but since it is soft foam, not a hard plastic, this has no affect on their play or enjoyment.The capes are long for the shorter guys, but I haven't seen any tripping yet and they basically haven't taken them off since the 25th.If you think the length might cause a problem, the fabric is easily trimmed with scissors, there is no hem.

You can't lose with this one!!

Great buy for the Little person that loves Batman
My son got this for his fourth birthday.The costume is quite large for small children, but he did not care and it was amazing to see him play and grow into it.My son who is now eight, told me to write a review as we were looking at toy ideas for Christmas.He thought the costume was really fun to play with, and wanted other parents to know it would be a good gift for kids that liked batman.

The costume held up pretty well under many hours of crime fighting in our home.This was an excellent value for my son. He literrally spent hundreds of hours in this costume over the years. For the price, it will be hard to find a better value for your child. You will smile as you watch your child use their imagination, and play with their friends keeping your home safe from evil doers. Smaller figures easier to move
I got this for my 5 year old because he loves all the Justice League guys, particularly Flash. It looks cool but actually at the end of the day he's played way more with the smaller 5" figures than this large one. I think it's because it's hard to move the arms and legs and even when you do they just kind of stick out- it's just not that interesting. I could see this being a neat collector item but in my experience it hasn't been a hit as a true toy. We're sticking with the smaller figures.

Its Ok.
It is a flash figure. Until DC Comics and Mattel decide to do something along the lines of DC Legends, similar to Toy Biz' Marvel Legends, we have to be thankful for ANYTHING that comes out.

Unfortunately, however, there is no detail to this line of figures. The bright side is, they do resemble the animated series, in that it is as 2 dimensional, as a drawing.

Nevertheless, since there seems to be a lack of variety in the DC world for reasonablly priced superhero figures, some accolades and applause is deservant for Mattel. We can only hope they drastically improve on the design quality; and, thank them for not gouging us on this line. A much better value than the 4 inch versions.

Where's Green Lantern?
I think these large Justice League figures are great. I personally am not disappointed in the lack of articulation (joints where the figure's limbs can move), since I'm getting these for my very young son, and he doesn't care. Besides, these figures are done in the highly simplified "cartoon" style, which to me indicates that they'd naturally be less intricate mechanically. My GRIPE is that many of these toys are not shipped in equal quantities, so there are fewer of one than the others. I've seen tons of Batman figures, but not one Green Lantern, for instance. Many of these scarcer figures are horded by collectors/dealers, leaving people like me who actually want to buy them for their children with an incomplete set. Beautiful Rendition of the Prince of Darkness
I bought this more as a display toy and an addition to my Batman collection than a toy to play with. Right now it is sitting on my book case. It's streamlined and majestic and totally represents the aura the character gives off.

I have to agree with many of the reviewers this "toy" is primarily for a display than anything else.I think that it is absolutely beautiful and I recomend it to Batman (junkies) but I really can not really say anything about its value as a toy for a child.

Looks great, but not the best toy ever
I bought this Batman, as well as the Superman from the same series, for my three-year-old.They are really great looking toys, but for play, they aren't that hot.As others have said, the toys are poorly proportioned, and don't stand well on their own.Also, they are barely articulated - no elbows, no knees, etc.

My three-year-old thinks they are great at present, just because of the way they look, and they certainly are well enough built to hold up to him playing with them for over six months now.But I don't think they're going to be very exciting, as he gets older and other options are out there.

Should be a display toy
My 4 year old loves action figures.He plays rough, and he uses his toy a lot.This action figure should have been sturdy and durable, considering its size.It broke in half within a month.He didn't drop it.It broke by use.The toy could move at the waist, side to side.Then one day it snapped in half at the waist.I would not recommend this for young children that could hurt themselves with it. ... I don't like how they have batman attached to the batcycle. You can't take him off! But he is good otherwise.He is good and bad. I am a 7 year old boy.I like pie!

my son liked it
My 6 year old son likes this toy a lot.He hasn't had any trouble pulling the two pieces apart, though it is true the doors come off occasionally but he has learned how to put them back on.The landing gear is not so well designed but one can easily ignore it.He's had many hours of pleasure from this $21 toy, and he would recommend it to other 6 year olds.By the way, the 4-1/2" Superman fits in the back and in the front.

A True Disappointment
My little boy loves his Justice League Superheroes, however, this toy proved to be a disappointment to us.Its durability is quite poor.Everytime he tries to put Flash in or out of the cockpit, the door comes off.Trying to separate the aircraft into two separate ones is no easy task--even for an adult.My four year old is constantly asking me to put it together and take it apart because he cannot do it himself.This toy has been truly frustrating for him and he gets so aggravated with it constantly falling apart.

Not as good as it looks
(Although usually very generous in rating toys, my son didn't play with this vehicle long enough to aid me in developing any positive aspects to share, as a result the rating is poor...As tolerant and patient as my son is, he was disgusted with it's design and durability and returned to his Bionicles) And I can't blame him. This toy is a mess.

First, the box tells us that this vehicle is appropriate for 4 years and above...If this mean just holding it and making it pretend fly, sure; but to do anything else there is No way this toy can be handled by a 4 year old, or 5, 6, 7, 8....year old!....

Really! Separating this vehicle into 2 is no easy task!Since there is no mechanical release button, you literally have to yank it apart!It took me several pulls before I could get it apart.Which is really too bad, as this toy had so much potential: it easily holds two figures, separates into 2 real vehicles....but with it's poor design, it's not user friendly at all.

Yes, it's 'cool' looking, but your little one will get tired of asking you to yank it apart and then replace the doors that will keep falling off each time he opens them!As a result, my son hasn't touch his vehicle since Christmas!

It's way over priced and unless your little one is a BIG Justice League fan, pass this one up and hope for another vehicle next Christmas.If however, your little one must have it, buy it ONLY on sale, and make sure you're planning to play with your little one (you'll feel less annoyed and bothered each time he wants it repaired or separated....) and pray that he grows weary of it.

Not all was lost for us.I used this toy as an example on why we need to be good consumers.My little guy and I talked about "how things aren't what they seem" sometimes...then we talked about how we could make better choices in light of the reality that many toy makers will continue to make and sell cheap crap.So this purchase wasn't a TOTAL bust.

Awesome paint job on batman. But the reason we're all buying this is for nightwing. Good sculpt, cool Billy clubs. Overall a very cool two pack. I rated the education 2 because you don't learn much from them. Action figures are supposed to be fun not educational. Still very good. A+

Coolest Nightwing Figure
In the beginning, Mattel looked as if they were going to just keep pumping out Hasbro type figures, with the early 2-pack series, and the Justice League figures.
Being a serious collector, I would buy them, anyway, but, I would not be happy.
After a phone call to Mattel, I was assured my complaints and suggestions would be taken into consideration.
Apparently they were, because then came the new Batman line; highly articulate and a great sculpt.
This particular set features the single best Nightwing figure ever. He looks cool, and has a fresh look to him.
Mattel has done very well with this series. This 2 pack would receive a score of 100%, except they re-released it in series 3.
That alone drops the score.
Bottom line:
Pro's: Best Nightwing sculpt ever. Nice set of accesories. Competively priced (...)
Cons: A second release in the 3rd wave with no alterations, is rediculous.
Final Score: 85. (100% for the first edition).

nightwing is a great toy and his outfit is cool I love the night sticks he makes the set worth bying. but batman is wearing a ninja type suit, it's really ugly the silver shines way to bright. mattel is doing a great job on these new batman toys I dont even play with toys really but these toys have been making me play with them but i also think that mattel should make toys like mr.freeze,two-face and clayface ect. Great costume, but too big
I ordered the size large for my 8-year-old, who is bigger than the average 8-year-old, and it was way too big. He couldn't even wear it for Halloween. There was really no good indication on how big this size large would actually be, but I took my chances anyway as the mediums were all sold out. (The editorial review said good for 8 to 10-year-olds.) Now I'm estimating it is like a size 14/16. On a positive note, though, the whole family thought the costume was awesome and I would definitely recommend it to someone bigger.

Stinky!
Man, I didnt know that costumes could stink....so bad! This is sooooooooo stinky! I couldnt even fit into this thing! You should really make a better suit, why not make a good robin one? That would be pretty dandy!

A basic low-tech plastic plane might seem a bit out of character for Batman, given the caped crusader's long-standing and well-documented penchant for gadgetry. But this vehicle still delivers features you like to see in a Bat Plane. It has two spring-loaded missiles, a clamp for nabbing bad guys (at least the kind of bad guys who somehow don't hear a Bat Plane approaching from behind), and a cockpit that opens. Into said cockpit goes Batman himself, here done up in a bluish bodysuit and wearing a black cape with silver lining. While one might wish for some sirens or flashing lights on the Bat Plane, this version never needs batteries and is likely to be a lot more durable than something electronic. --Charlie Williams ... Dangerous!!!
My 4 yr old received as an X-Mas gift last year.The wings do fall off and are sharp.However, it was my husband who we took to the emergency room less than a week later with a stabbing injury requiring stitches.I do have to say it is durable, however.When my husband frantically pulled the base of the plane (not the wings) that was stabbing and protruding from his body and threw it against the wall, the wall dented.The plane was fine.

Poor Quality as a toy
My son received this as a christmas gift last year.It was great at first, but soon fell apart --the wings don't stay on well, plus they are very pointy and can be dangerous to small children.I was very disappointed.
