Great mat...
for several reasons.It is mulitpurpose and as you know if you are a parent that is a big plus.Right now I use it to catch my son's flying food but it can later be used to protect the table top from art projects.Wonderful addition to any shower gift!

it's a waste of money. you can substitute it for any piece of plastic if you have carpet. if not, don't buy it.

Attractive for baby and helps avoid mess
We used this as a play mat before our baby was eating solids.He liked looking at the colorful images and it kept his drool off of the carpet.We moved it under his highchair when he started eating and it helps keep baby from staining the carpet.I wish it was bigger though, so it would protect a larger area.And I wish it was thicker.Since our dining room is carpeted, the wheels of the highchair push the mat into the carpet and stretch it a bit.This leaves crescent-shaped bumps or indentations on the mat.

Danger
Do not let your teething child have these as they can pull off chunks with their teeth and choke on them.Other then that I love em they dont hurt when your child throws them at you or anyone else.

love these blocks!
We introduced these blocks to our son when he was 12 months old.That was a bit of a mistake, since about 80% of them now have bite marks and big chunks taken out of them.Seems he preferred *eating* the blocks to building anything with them.Now that he's about 16 months old, he's finally less apt to eat them and more apt to build something.Or at least knock down whatever we build.I'd recommend these, since they're soft foam and won't mar walls (or foreheads) when kids get into their "throwing" phase.

AWESOME!
My 2 year old daughter really enjoys playing with the Sesame Street foam blocks on her play table. This set is super soft and the 80 pieces are large enough that they do not create a choking hazard. They come in a great carrying case which makes them easy to take along on trips...This is a great set to use during "quiet time" or even for play groups! Great Great Set! ... Read more

9.98 for a reason
You get what you pay for in this case.My daughter was given this as a gift a year ago and it has been a dust collector ever since.She hates this ELMO because is falls over.He should be called clumsy ELMO.My daughter has the Hokey Pokey ELMO too and that is a 10+.

Well my son has SO MANY elmo toys that dance and sing and I must say this one is GREAT! Ours has never fallen over unless my son pushed him and the song and dance are TOO CUTE!! It makes everyone wanna get up and dance my 1 year old gets a kick out of it and even shakes his arms like elmo! The limbo stick is quite irritating though I would think they would have attached it to elmo! Its basically pointless my son chews on it but thats about it! Overall this toy is GREAT just minus the limbo stick!

Fun to play with........once!
