This toy is excellent i brought this for my 1 year old daugther for her first birthday and she loves it. She plays on it everyday when she comes in from daycare. 5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT POOH
**THIS IS THE SAME REVIEW AS THE TIGGER JUST DIFFERENT NAMES** Both of my 20 month old twin sons have one of the Baby's First Friend for a "lovey". My son Conner loves his Pooh! We dont have a pooh theme, and my sons dont really like pooh, but they love their loveys! I loved the little bear and its now lost in the bottom of the toy chest and that cute blanket is gone forever. Pooh is a great material like a baby blanket. He is "breathable" so I always felt confident putting Pooh in the crib with Conner. Conner loves to suck on his ears and bring him everywhere, he now calls him "OOH"(pooh without the "P"), too precious. We actually have 3 of these "OOH's" to make sure we always have one. We wash him in the machine constantly and he is also easily spot cleaned. My son brings "OHH" everywhere and loves to use him as a little pillow. Conner even refuses to sleep without his little buddy. This is just a perfect toy for any aged baby, toddler or child! "OOH" is very durable and has been thrown, stepped on, attacked with the stomach flu, bitten, pulled and everything else you could imagine a little boy doing. Its tough love for "OOH" and hes perfect for any child, whether or not they are Winne the Pooh Fanatics! ****MY son has also learned to love something other than family, and he has learned to be careful of where he leaves Pooh, I just love these toys and so does Conner**** ... Although children typically fall in love with Winnie the Pooh characters during their toddler years, this infant-safe velour toy makes it possible for babies to become enchanted with the critters of the Hundred Acre Wood from the moment they are born. This adorable Pooh is made of soft velour that's perfect to cuddle with, and due to minimal polyester stuffing, he's easy to carry. The "silly" part is that he flops about and falls into funny positions when picked up and put down. Since he's surface washable, he can easily stay fresh and clean throughout the early years of hard loving. --Hannah Reynolds ... Read more

    5-0 out of 5 stars A must-have for a Pooh lover!
This Pooh is so cute and so soft. Not only do I like it (I am an unashamed Pooh fan myself!), but my daughter truly loves Pooh. (I thought she wouldn't like Pooh just because I love him so much, I did her nursery in Pooh, and bought her some Poohs ahead of time, so people said- she will probably not look twice at Pooh!) They were wrong, she LOVES Pooh toys and this one is so soft and cuddly. It has educational value because it interests your baby in the classic stories of A.A.Milne by introducing Pooh bear.

Pooh is a WONDERFUL addition to anyone's childhood, and this is a wonderful part of that.

I've bought the aquadoodle regular mat - so when i saw this - i knew my child would love this one as well.Works almost the same way - except there are actualy pictures on the mats to color in with the magic water pen - the pen makes the colors come out - then after 5 minutes it dries again - these are great for car rides - or pretty much to take anywhere - even comes with a miniature pen!

1-0 out of 5 stars Folding parts fall off, again and again and again and...
My daughter got this toy for Christmas. She loves it and plays with it all the time. She brings me the folding pieces at least 25 times a day, so I can re-attach them to the toy. This problem isn't the result of wear and tear, because it started the day we took it out of the box.I have now hidden the piece that just won't stay attached.

The only good thing I can say about this toy, is that WE didn't pay for it.What's worse than giving a toy parents hate?Giving a toy parents hate but kids love.

4-0 out of 5 stars Just the right size
We were given one similar to this one...a hand me down. Our daughter loves this little house. It closes up and holds everything and she can take it with us in the car. Two old favorites often make a winning combination when they are brought together, as is proven here in this Pooh edition of Candy Land. Winnie the Pooh and his friends, Eeyore, Piglet, and Tigger, move along the winding path of the game board, picking up treats for a picnic in the 100 Acre Wood. No reading is required to play. Children draw cards and then use their color-recognition and symbol-matching skills to advance to the appropriate location on the board. Many adults will recognize this classic game from their own childhood and will enjoy sharing it with the kids now in their lives. A.A. Milne's familiar and enduring Pooh characters will ease children into the often-difficult concept of taking turns!--Wendy Slotboom ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Pooh Lover but not this game!!
My 4 & 2 1/2 year olds love Pooh but this game is not what I expected. There are MANY pieces that pop into the board to decorate it and they get in the way of the game. But my biggest complaint of this game is the colors. They are NOT your traditional Red, Oragne, Blue, Yellow, Purple, Green they are in between colors like yellow-orange, grenish-blue, orange-red etc.YIKES!!I am trying to teach my kids the colors as we play the game and I have trouble naming the colors.I donated my Pooh game and bought the regular Candy Land!!The colors are more vibrant and not mistakable for another color!!

2-0 out of 5 stars Not happy with this game.
I wasn't sure about the game before I bought it, and now that I own it.I really dislike it!

    This is why:

The game looks more like a Winnie the Pooh Birthday Party than a Picnic.

The gameboard feels very cluttered with all of the winnie the pooh cardboard standing parts.

The gameboard is even worse because because the colored squares seem extra small, and the playing pieces are extra big.

Eeyore, if placed on the board with his head facing forward, will take up 3 spaces.

The colors are not simple colors making the teaching value of this game very poor.

I suggest buying the original game, because this one is truly not that good.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Cute

Despite his melancholy personality, Eeyore wins the heart of every visitor to the Hundred Acre Wood. This hapless donkey with the tacked-on tail embodies the inevitable downer days of childhood--"Nobody understands me, everything is terrible, and I think I'll just go mope in my room." This Soft 'n Silly Eeyore has a slight smile on his sweet bewildered face, sits in his characteristically slumped posture with forlorn eyes, and wears a bright pink ribbon on his tail. Made just for preschoolers and early elementary students, Leap 1 Bookspack lots of lessons into one engaging, interactive story. Here, Tigger helpsenhance reading and pronunciation skills; identify characters, themes, andsettings; and develop memory retention. He also makes reading lessintimidating--and more fun--as he bounces himself into one new discovery afteranother. Just stick the included book cartridge into a LeapPad, put the book inplace, and, with a parent's guidance, the LeapPad takes care of the rest. Flipthe book over and Tigger invites your child to play learning activities withhim. Note: This book works with all LeapPads except the My First LeapPad Book.--Diane Beall ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Pooh Fan Loves This
My 2 1/2 year old loves the original Winnie The Pooh movie. This book is an abridged section of this movie. My little boy can sit through each page, listen to the stories, and touch everything to make sure he does not miss any sounds. He loves every page in the book.He is not a fan of any of the books with Leap, except the story in the book that came with the Leap Pad.If your child likes Pooh or the Pooh movie, then this book is a must.

3-0 out of 5 stars Can pass on this unless your child is a winnie the pooh fan
This one has a rather sad story where tigger gets into trouble with bouncing, ending up stuck in a tree with baby roo. The story ends with rabbit gloating over him and wanting him to stop bouncing for ever after tigger is rescued. So, my 2 year old never wants to finish reading this story, its just too too sad! He likes the pooh bear story much better! Not too mqny activities and games either on each page

Anyone who has grown up without coming in contact with the Winnie thePooh stories likely suffers as a result a severe whimsy deficit. Whether throughthe original A.A. Milne novelsand stories, or the Walt Disneyfilm adaptations, themisadventures of Pooh, Christopher Robin, Tigger, and Piglet provide acompletely entertaining diversion from ordinary storytelling.

The story in Tigger's Honey Hunt starts with Pooh, who is planning agrand party. But he can't begin to plan the bash without knowing that he hassufficient honey for his guests to enjoy. Bouncing along in his own inimitableway, Tigger pledges to help Pooh locate enough honey pots to get the party offthe ground.

Crisp backgrounds, colorful worlds, and superb animation make this a fun rompthrough the Hundred Acre Woods. Gameplay mechanics are straightforward and aimedat the right demographic.

For anyone but kids, however, this game plays too short and doesn't have enoughindividual play modes (little kids love to play the same game over and over, soa short game doesn't matter much to the under-8 crowd). The title misses PaulWinchell's deft voice-over talent, but there's only so much data that you canfit on a Nintendo 64 cartridge.

Tigger's Honey Hunt really knows what it wants to be: a kids' game. Assuch, it succeeds in providing a darned good--if short--time. --ToddMowatt

    Pros:

    • Clean, crisp backgrounds; colorful worlds; and superb animation
    • Straightforward gameplay mechanics aimed at younger gamers
    • Fun, safe gift for young family members
    Cons:
    • Older, experienced gamers will find the game too easy

Pooh fans can enjoy this great memory builder alone or with friends. There are 72 honey potcards (36 matching pairs) with colorful illustrations of our favorite characters from the Winnie-the-Pooh books on the flip side. The cardsare spread out with the honey pot side up. Players take turns flipping over two cards. Can you find twoidentical pictures of Pooh hiking, Piglet sailing, or Owl roasting marshmallows? If there's a match, thatplayer takes the cards and flips again. Try to remember which cards have been exposed for future matches.Play alternates until all of the tokens are gone. Winnie the Pooh is hunting for his friends, all of whom are hiding in honeypots, in this motorized musical memory game designed for preschoolers. To begin, placea character in each pot. Then tap Pooh's head and the characters will peek out, one byone, from beneath their lids while the Winnie the Pooh theme music plays. Everyonewatches and tries to memorize where each character is hiding. When the music stops, thefirst player flips over a character card to determine which of Pooh's friends they mustfind. If that player remembers correctly and lifts the right lid, they get to keep the card. The first player to collect all six cards wins. Watch out for the honeybee hiding in theseventh pot--lift its lid and you lose your turn. The game suits two to four players andrequires three AA batteries (not included). --Elisabeth Fredrickson ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Very cute But.....
There was alot of work to make this look very good. Unfortunately the game seems forced and the same game can be played with a deck of cards. It is a very cute toy, but the game is lacking.

1-0 out of 5 stars A total waste of money!
If I could give this toy "zero" stars, I would do so! The wretched thing is so poorly made that it loses its educational value completely. The players are supposed to watch the Pooh characters pop up briefly and then retreat, supposedly unseen, into their hiding place. Then, to score points, you have to remember where each character is.However, the part fits so poorly that you can see the character's head at all times. Even a 3 year old can readily identify the character without effort and certainly without learning anything.

Also, the entire concept is flawed because, if the parts did fit together propertly, the characters pop up so briefly that any child would find it a bit frustrating.

Overall, there are many, many better memory games that you can buy. Do not waste your money on this one!

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun and keeps her attention!
My 3 year old niece loves this game! She enjoys playing it everyday (but she doesn't use the matching cards with it just yet). It keeps her attention and she can play it by herself too. Editorial Review

Made just for preschoolers and early elementary students, Leap 1 Bookspack lots of lessons into one engaging, interactive story. In Pooh GetsStuck, narrated by actress Whoopi Goldberg, Pooh and the gang work to getPooh out of a tight spot--literally. A.A. Milne's characters are used to enhancephonics development, early vocabulary, and basic story-reading skills. Juststick the included book cartridge into a LeapPad, put the book in place, and, with a parent's guidance, the LeapPad takes care of the rest. Flip the bookover and Pooh and the gang invite your child to play learning activities withthem. Note: This book works with all LeapPads except the My First LeapPad Book.--Diane Beall ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Cute
This is a cute story. It works well with the leap pad system.

My only problem with this is I am very tired of this Pooh Story. Disney seems to have put this out in every medium available- dvd, video, books on tap, leap pad, computer games etc. There are other Pooh stories that are just as cute if not cuter. I'm tired of this one and so are my children.

If you have a Leappad book, I'd look at other stories before getting this one. It is a bit light on the activities compared to some of the other books.

    Enjoy.

My children don't use the LeapFrog products as much as I thought they would, and in that sense, if you do not already own the LeapFrog unit, you may want to borrow a neighbors for a couple of weeks and see if your kids take to it.That having been said, the products are of high quality, and the content is very good. The "Pooh Gets Stuck" is fine, whether its any better than borrowing a Pooh book from the library and reading it with your child is another debate.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not bad for Pooh fans.
My three and a half year old daughter likes this book. She loves listening to the different silly sounds that are associated with each of the different pictures and locations in the book.I would recommend this book for any child that like Pooh and his friends. It is not as educational as most of the other books, but it makes a nice story. ...
