Editorial Review

Even electronic toys have gone extreme. Kids love the original Bop It, an electronic toy that challenges response time to pull, twist, and bop different parts of the toy. The Extreme 2 version adds two more tasks, more sounds, and a taunting, smart-aleck announcer who directs the game. As you get better, the game moves faster until you miss a beat and lose, accompanied by a fair amount of noise and ridicule from the toy. People who don't think they'd ever want to play Bop It Extreme 2 won't be able to put it down; it instills a compulsive need to bop till you drop. It can be played in a group and makes a good party game--even for serious adults. --Lynne Sampson ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Addictive
This is a fantastic game! It is a fast and furious challenge of reaction times & can be played alone, with a partner or in a group.Great for bored kids (or adults)!

4-0 out of 5 stars Wish I could play to a higher score!
This game is very fun. It helps to to clear my mind. The down side is that it stops at 250. I've reached 250 a few times wanted to see if it was just a mistake but nope it only goes to 250. Other than that great for the younger kids helps with listening and motor skills. As far as us adults who play, the game needs to go higher than 250. Overall good fun.

4-0 out of 5 stars This game is for Christmas - not for Life
Hours of addictive fun for all the family.Best used with some headphones if gran keeps nagging you to eat more cakes at a family gathering; which can be off putting to say the least!
I have stated that "This game is for Christmas -not for life" because it only you allows you to get up to 250ish and then it stops - Challenge over - motivation to play it GONE!
However practising to get up to 250 is great fun.Recommended.

My daughter is 50+ lbs. and can't make it jump.My husband took it apart and tried greasing the springs and it still is really tough to make it go up and down.Maybe we have a lemon? We're all disappointed and frustrated.

5-0 out of 5 stars A really fun toy
This toy helps you learn how to have a real medal one and it is easy to get on and stay on.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great update of a traditional toy!
My daughter received this pogo stick as a gift when she was five.At age six, she is still getting the hang of it, but she and her friends in the neighborhood have had a lot of fun with it.The foam cover is durable and prevents rust and dents which could render the toy unsafe. Also, the spring is covered, so there is no easy opportunity for injury to the child or damage to the spring. This is quieter and safer than the pogo stick I grew up with in the 80's! ... All good friends need is an excuse to get together, right? The My Little Pony "Best Friends Ball" playset makes it easy for Ponies to share tales, and shake their tails--the equine way! Twinkle Twirl owns the place, and has plenty of space for at least 3 other Pony party-goers. The play set features a dressing room with an elaborate little vanity; a dessert table with a pop-up cake and lots of accessories; a moving dance floor with lights and sounds; and a romantic balcony in front of a large picture window, presumably for posing or pony-watching. After the event, the studio folds up into an easy-to-carry case with a handle, for taking the party on the road. Requires 3 "AA" batteries. Choking hazard: small pieces included. Diane Beall ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great toy
My four year old daughter got this toy for her birthday. It required very little set up and assembly. My daughter has had lots of fun.The only negative is only one of the disks has a magnetic spot to enable to ponies to dance it would be nice if all three disks on the dance floor could enable the ponies to twirl and dance. But this has not deterred the great imaginative play this toy has sparked.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is great!
I got this toy for Christmas and I absoulutly LOVE it! Unlike what other people say, it dosn't break for me. It closes up nicely, too and nothing falls apart. I love this! The only thing I don't like is that the "changing room" is too small for the pony to fit in, so you have to move the furniture so the pony will fit. Overall, I LOVE this!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great addition to pony collection - Easy to store
This toy arrived almost completely ASSEMBLED!Even the stickers were attached! The best part about this toy (from a parent's perspective) is that it all fits neatly inside and you clip the top shut.It has a carry strap for taking on visits to Grandmas. The music is loud enough for play but not too loud and it plays more than one song. The magnets really hold the ponies on the dance circles very tightly.Even baby ponies can dance. If you are only buying one, I recommend this over the amusement park with ferris wheel. This holds together and the amusement park falls into several peices and is very difficult to store. My daughers love the music and motion of the Dance Studio. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Tooting in the Tub
My 6 and 9 year old boys both love this toy. They usually take showers now because they're big boys but the first day we had the flutes they both spent about 2 hours in the tub. The song book pages are laminated so they won't fall apart if they fall in the water. I even heard my husband trying them out, so they were a big hit in the house. I'm going to get the water drums for them for Christmas. ... Read more

Editorial Review

It's a three-alarm blaze of fun for youngsters with PlayHut'sTwist 'N' Fold Fire Engine, another in their imaginative series ofquick-to-assemble, spring-loaded, collapsible nylon meshconfigurations. Here, a bright red, 49-by-24-inch, stylized rectangularfire truck replica, almost 3 feet tall, forms itself from the apparatuswhich, fully folded, fits into a bag no larger than a grocery sack. Theonly assembly required is to attach the nylon rear door (complete witha replica of a fire ax) and the inflatable steering wheel to the Velcrotoggles on the main structure. Unfortunately, the included printedmatter barely mentions these two extra pieces, leaving assemblersguessing as to how to attach them. The steering wheel is a no-brainer,but the back door panel possesses one toggle and there are fourpossible loops for it. Parents might also be annoyed by the fact thatthe foldaway instructions are twice as lengthy as those forsetup. --Tony Mason ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great purchase
With a firefighter for a Daddy you can imagine that my son has every firetruck toy possible. We bought him this truck awhile ago and he loves it.It's so easy to set up, and easy to fold up and store behind the couch. So far with a one year old, a cat, and dog who love the tent- it has held up fine.He loves to pull some books, or toys in with him and will hang out in the tent for awhile. And like another reviewer stated... adults can fit in too, which my son thinks is hysterical.I would definately recommend it, it's great for the imagination.

5-0 out of 5 stars Happy Mom
We bought this for my 2 year old for Christmas. We ended up putting his crib matress inside it for him to sleep on after we pulled down the crib.He didn't want to sleep on a "big boy bed" but with the bed in the tent - life was good. It's been a year now and he no longer sleeps in it but it still looks brand new.

4-0 out of 5 stars three concerns otherwise great barn
My 8 year old horse crazy daughter got this barn from Santa for Christmas. Unfortunately, it arrived from the "North Pole" in a huge box on my front porch clearly labelled in large letters on all sides as to the contents and she is a good reader. Also the glue from the labels is impossible to remove and the barn has a habit of flying open when you try to carry it spilling horses and gates out everywhere because there is no latch to keep it folded. Despite these concerns, my daughter LOVES it and I've barely seen her since Christmas because she's had her head stuck in the barn caring for all her horses in her own happy little world.

5-0 out of 5 stars Cooleo!
THis si so cool! Although I did not get it from amazon, I got it from Santa, but still! Its so cool! It has a bunch of doors, some that slide, and fit breyer perfecttly! That's what I use mine for! It comes with a nic fence that works for breyer!

4-0 out of 5 stars The Folding Horse Stable
The folding horse stable is very cozy for your model horses and it is very easy to carry in each stall it can fit two horses on is a small stall the other is as big as a Foaling Barn stall(Foaling barn is a stall where female horses have there babies). The only problem is that the wooden stall doors get rusty and are hard to open sometimes and you have to use all your force to open. ... Read more

Horses hold a magical appeal for children. This colorfully designed board game provides an exciting fantasy environment for two to six horse lovers. In the first game, players pretend to be wild mustang stallions galloping through mountains and valleys, gathering a herd to protect while facing such obstacles as cougars and bad weather. The first player to round up a herd wins. In two other games, players are ranchers rounding up strays and competing to fill out their herds. Players are sure to enjoy the in-depth educational information about horses and horse breeds that is included. This is a great game to saddle up when it's rainy on the ranch, providing enough challenge to play with parents as well as with friends. --Lee Strucker ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Horsey Games
I've had this game for a long time. It is a great game because it has 3 different games. It is also very educational because it has facts about the different horses. My brother also likes it. Younger kids might choke on the small peices though. I love to look at all the different horses too. one was even named after me! Overall this is a fantastic game and a must have for horse lovers world wide!

Toot-toot! All aboard for lunch with the very functional Thomas the Tanklunch box, which is made of durable plastic and comes in the traditional Thomasblue with a red handle. Inside the generous container are an 11.5-ounce canteenand a Pecoware double-deck sandwich container, which measures 5 by 5 by 3inches. Both are adorned with Thomas scenes. On the front of the lunch box is anifty front panel--decorated with another happy Thomas scene--that clips open. This compartment is big enough to accommodate another sandwich or is the perfecthiding place to tuck away a secret goodie for your child. Press a button on theside of the canteen, and the cover pops up, revealing a straw. 5-0 out of 5 stars The coolest lunchbox around!
My son loves everything Thomas. This was especially a big hit because of it's durability and style.I love the fact that it comes with everything! The sandwich container has a double decker compartment, and is perfect for a sandwich (or chicken nuggets, etc.), and the other compartment, which is like an extra plate inside the container is perfect for sides of veggies. The pop-up canteen is spillproof, and my son does love to drink out of it.And unlike other pop-up straws, this straw is short and hard, so it won't hamper speech development (otherwise they will just be sucking on it like a pacifier). It is also roomy enough to include other essentials like napkins, and cutlery, or a small toy.The only drawback is that the artwork in the canteen is falling apart, but I thought that was because it has been handwashed several times with a harsh detergent when we went to India for a month. Now I use the dishwasher and it has stopped the deterioration of the artwork. And also, my three-year old tends to fumble when opening or closing the hatch. On the other hand, he will be developing his fine-motor skills! With or without lunch, he loves toting it around and storing his toys on it.Plus, we get a lot of praise whenever other kids or moms see it, and they always asks us where we bought it!

4-0 out of 5 stars straw cup comments
One reviewer mentionedthe straw cup being a major pain to clean. It doesn't have to be that way. I bought pipe cleaners, and when I clean it, I use those for the straw -- no need to disassemble. Also, if I really want to be careful, I'll run it through the microwave in a sterilizer with my baby bottles when I do those.Never have to worry.the cup is the main reason I love this product.I have a two year old, and the cup is great for travel, never spills, and she drinks a lot of water when she uses it.

You do have to replace the water fairly frequently because it takes on a plastic taste (indicates chemicals leaching from the plastic that you DO NOT want your child to inject) over the course of the day.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not Dishwasher Safe
I purchased both this lunch box, and a similar one offered by the same company, (apparently no longer available,) at the same time, and put both into use on the same day.

We put the sandwich cases and bottles in the dishwasher at least 3 to 4 times a week.As of November 1st, the art on both Thomas products (bottle and sandwich case) is badly scarred and faded, with many areas showing no paint at all. (The white areas were the first to go.)The markings (ballet slippers) on the other lunch box set are unmarred and unchanged. This was disappointing, to say the least. However, it may be our fault, though I do not recall any warnings that these were not dishwasher safe.

However, the lunch box as a whole is rugged and works well. Our children enjoy using them.Just be aware: should you purchase this item, I suggest it be hand-washed only to preserve the art. ... Read more

This lacquered child's guitar is a great first instrument for young enthusiasts, or kids who just want to jam with an adult. It embodies every feature professional electric guitars do; all parents need to supply are lessons. At 30 inches, it's not intimidating but inviting. Its just the right size for elementary school amateurs, but its small, smooth body (including a solid maple neck and fingerboard), real steel strings, and "vintage" coil make it sound and feel as real as a grownup's guitar. A headphone jack can be used for speakers, and the output jack next to it can be used for the amplifier.--Diane Beall ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Put this item in perspective.
There are some real morons typing reviews for this guitar.
This is by no means a high quality professional guitar and don't expect it to be so. It's a beginners toy that comes complete with an amp for around $60! You can't get a real quality guitar with an amp at that price. There's no sense in paying more if you're not sure if the kid getting it is going to follow through with actually learning to play it.
I did have a string break while tuning it put replaced all of them for less than $6 and it actually improved the sound. I've been playing it daily for about a month and am still on the first battery.
Instructions aren't in the box but if they were the price would be higher. Go buy a quality "How to play" book at a music store and it will tell you everything from tuning to playing it. Online lessons are out there for free.
You can't beat this item for what it's meant to do, i.e. introduce a child/adult into playing an instrument.
Now, quit expecting wine on a beer budget and buy this model.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great gift
My son received this guitar as a gift and he thinks the world of it.He is always playing it and he thinks that it is the best gift ever.He is 8 years old and this is the perfect size for him to handle. The only problem we had which was easily fixed by a friend who plays guitar is that one of the strings became loose after playing around with it the first time.I would recommend this for any young wannabe guitar player.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Kids Guitar
This guitar seems to be a well built guitar for kids who are interested in learning, but who are too young to go out and spend a $100 or more on a guitar.I received the guitar today and played with the tuners. They seem to be tunning.I need to get it fully tuned to see how long it stays in tune. From what I understand it takes a while before the strings get worn in so that you don't have to tune it as much.I plan on tunning it several times before Christmas. My 6 year old son should like this guitar, and hopefully learn a few things from it too! This guitar has the feel of a grownup guitar without the grownup guitar price. My only negative so far is the guitar pick guard was alittle scratched, but it's probably going to get alot worst off when the kid get it!All in all, for the price.I feel this was a good purchase!

4-0 out of 5 stars Review of Hohner Acoustic Guitar with Songbook
The Hohner Acoustic Guitar seems to be well crafted. The hardware seems to be of good quality and the sound is good for a "toy" guitar. The songbook, well......it has a lot to be desired. So don't buy it for the book.It has three songs in the "U.S.A." section and the directions for using the book and the 'dots' are too vague for me and my child to understand. Therefore, playing the three songs in the book is virtually impossible. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars A frustrating toy
My son loves all the Tonka vehicles, but this one frustrates him.The crane mechanism comes out of the slot easily. It also tips over easily. It doesn't balance very well when lifting something. It is also awkward to move and store due to the crane part.

3-0 out of 5 stars A little disappointed
I am a big fan of the metal Tonka trucks. My son has the dump truck (which he loves) and the backhoe (which he also loves). I bought the crane thinking it would be a great addition to his backyard fleet. For the most part it is, however if your child is rough and tough like my 3 year old, you might encounter some problems. For one thing it kept tipping over when he would try to operate it and then the bucket came off and had to be retied on. He still plays with it but I was a little disappointed in Tonka on this one.

2-0 out of 5 stars Choose the backhoe, front loader or dump truck instead...
This is a great looking truck that really excited my 4-year old at first. It quickly became frustrating for him because the arm would collapse and the string would come undone and get jammed. We have the other 3 trucks in this line and absolutely love them. Skip the crane! ... Read more

These trucks are the perfect size for my three year-old construction fanatic. The "mighty" Tonka trucks are too big for him, the "jr. basic" Tonka trucks are too small for him (though they were excellent for him in the sandbox a year ago), and the "jr. force" Tonka trucks are too flimsy for working in our tough Oklahoma dirt! These trucks have a steel body and plastic wheels and accents. The description does not contain their dimensions, so here they are...the grader is roughly 17Lx8Wx7H, and the dump truck is roughly 14Lx6Wx7H.The price is excellent, the quality is very good, and my son loves them! What a deal! ... First Act's Student Guitar is an excellent choice for children who are just beginning to play theguitar. It's areduced 30 inches long, rather than a full-size model adults would use. Made with lightweightwood and steel strings, the guitar features a steel-reinforced neck and a high-gloss protective finish thatwears well and looks good for the long haul. The low string action design of the fret board makes it easyfor small fingers to strike chords without discomfort. 1-0 out of 5 stars Yikes....
Guys...this is a TOY...if your child is seriously interested in learning to play guitar, you should actually search for a real instrument. Amazon.com offers 25" guitars with accessories for only about $50...and they're actually pretty good. Don't waste your time with this thing...it's pathetic. Search for starter guitars in "Musical Instruments"...not "Toys", you're asking for disappointment.

It won't stay tuned.
It doesn't come with anything that you need to start out with (picks, extra set of strings, books, strap, case...etc.).
It's not even put together like a guitar should.

Go for the real things. Don't waste your time with this...

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent for very young Children 2-5
I am so glad we bought this. We bought this guitar so Our 1 and a half year old would have something to play with when we play guitar. The guitar doesn't keep in tune very well, so if you want to play music on it, It must be re-tuned every time. It has proven to be extremely durable, My son who is two and a half loves it, He has dragged it around with him allover the house and plays with it when others play instruments. I find it to be a phenomenal educational toy, One with wich to teach appreciation and care of musical instruments. We paid around 35 dollars so we felt that if it were to break we wouldn't be too upset. It is still going with my second child of one, he plays with it now. You must use adult supervision and not tighten the strings too much as they may snap just like a normal guitar. I think that this guitar has helped my son develop a love of music as we haven't restricted the use of it for fear of breakage or damage. Also this toy is a great way to determine if your child may stick with the guitar, We plan on buying another more high quality instrument when he gets older. Remember this is a musical toy.

Editorial Review

Dinosaur devotees will be roaring over this radio-controlledTyrannosaurus Rex as he growls and roars, moves his head, thrashes histail, and even blinks his beady yellow eyes. He can also turnrealistically and walk forward a few steps on a hard surface, growlingand roaring at the same time, if you choose. T-Rex is 11 inches tall and21 inches from nose to tail, with textured, flexible brown rubber skinthat bends and moves. The controller is shaped like a stone with twobone-shaped joysticks to control the dinosaur's walking and turning.Buttons on the side of the controller make T-Rex move his head and frontfeet, snap his jaws, roar, and blink his eyes. The controller slidesopen in the middle for use, and you have to be careful not to pinch yourfingers when you snap it shut. T-Rex requires a total of six AAbatteries, two for the controller and four inside the dinosaur, and thebattery compartment inside the T-Rex is rather difficult to access.Despite these small drawbacks, this dino is one cool dude that willthrill any kid in the midst of the inevitable dinosaur phase. -- Marcie Bovetz ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed on Christmas
The only toy our 5 year old wanted was a t-rex with batteries. How disappointing when we turned it on and nothing happened. We sent "Roarie" back to the "North Pole" aka amazon, for replacement. when the new one arrived, Joy was immediately replaced by tears when the new one stopped functioning after less than 2 minutes! This toy is fragile to say the most.

1-0 out of 5 stars HORRIBLE TOY!!!
CONSUMER BEWARE!My five-year old son received this for Christmas. It was great while it worked, a whole two days! What a huge upset!I didn't see any educational value to it, except the education of disappointment from a fragile toy. We didn't have any trouble putting batteries in.Although the feel and look of the dinosaur is real and unique, a stuffed animal would have been more educational and less disappointing!I guess it will become a figurine on a shelf!I'm late in writing this review, because I just wouldn't give up hope, until now!

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantasticasaurus!
This was a Christmas gift for my just about 4yo son who is very much intrigued with dinosaurs, his favorite being T-Rex!I was very impressed, as was he, at it's "realness".Very life like when it gets "ROARING" and stomping around!Great gift for a dino lover..just keep batteries handy. There is a switch on the dinosaur that you must turn "off" and you must close up the hand held remote as well....try explaining that to a 4yo! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars GeoTrax Elevation Track Pack (RAMPS)
The "Elevation Track Pack (RAMPS)" is one of three track kits offered from the Elevation Series. The other two kits are the "Elevation Track Pack (FLATS), and the "Elevation Track Pack (STRAIGHTS & RAMPS)".

The RAMPS kit is great because it includes 4 ramps, which is enough track to elevate the train from level 0 (ground level) to level 1, level 2, and then all the way back down to level 1 and then level 0.

You will need this kit to use the Sky High Suspension Bridge (at level 1), and the High Chimes Clock Tower (at levels 1 and 2).

The other useful kit that you should purchase along with this one is the Elevation Track Pack (FLATS).Once the train is elevated, you will want to stay at that level. The FLATS kit includes a few straights, and just as importantly, the extra stanchions needed to hold the track up.

The STRAIGHTS & RAMPS kit is NOT very useful because it includes only 6 stanchions (the supports that hold up the track). There are NOT enough stanchions to use the Elevation track in the way that it was intended.

The only disadvantage is that the layouts get quite complex because now the layout is three dimensional (instead of two). This may present a challenge to use up all of the track pieces and to build a fun and interesting layout. You'll run out of track and have to go through a number of iterations, and time, to get it all connected.

All things considered, it is a great toy that is very rugged and it will keep your child's interest for a long time.

For some great track layout ideas, search for "Geotrax Track Layout" on eBay.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Whole New Dimension
This is a must-have item if you want to add the Clock Tower to your set.It also works well with the other "elevation" sets, particularly Mile High Mountain.

The set includes the following:

4 ramps (these are made from two shorter pieces that are screwed together)
2 curves
2 short straights
2 guard rails
2 end ramps
8 arches (2 supports and 1 crosspiece each)

The crosspieces of the arches have a picture of how the ends of the track should be aligned. The screws are a little tough but never need to be removed. The set is enough to run up two full levels and back down again (my son has played with this set just by itself having fun running up, around and racing back down). You can also make two single-level bridges, a single level bridge and a ramp down from Mile High Mountain, or many other setups.

This set literally adds a new dimension to a Geotrax set.Lots of fun.The short pieces also allow for different configurations that may have been frustrating in the past.Definitely fun.

4-0 out of 5 stars Way to go Fisher Price!
The new track are really cool to put together though a little tougher then the other track for younger children. My 4 1/2 year old loves it but my 3 year old just can't put them together nor does him understand the concept. My husband and I have alot of fun building large 3D tracks all over our living room.

Great toy but the elevation series is not for 2 1/2 year olds maybe 3 1/2. ... Read more

Editorial Review

"It is the spring of 1942. The world is at war. Five world powers are struggling for supremacy. You and your opponents control the military and economic destiny of one or more of these countries.... In this game, you'll discover that cooperation and negotiation are just as important as tactical maneuvering." So begins the 32-page instruction manual for Axis & Allies. To win this complex strategy game, you must learn to be a master economist and a brilliant military strategist and tactician. The game board is a map of the world divided into the spheres of influence that existed at the height of World War II. Both the Axis and Allied powers are allotted combat forces and income, measured in Industrial Production Certificates (IPCs). You must manage your nation's economy and lead its military forces--air, land, and sea--into well-chosen battles. The intricacies of the game are carefully spelled out, as are the criteria each side must meet to become the victors. Contents include 299 detailed combat force playing pieces, IPCs, dice, markers and chips to chart each country's progress, and everything you need to change the course of history in under a day. For two to five players. --Rachel Radway ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best World War II Strategy Boardgame on the Market
Axis and Allies is a board game set during World War II which allows 2-5 players to assume the roles of the great powers of the global spanning conflict of 1945: Germany, the United States, Great Britain, Russia, and Japan.

The board is a replication of the world split into various zones which correspond to either direct land holdings for that power in the form of colonial governments or through intercession such as British Africa.

The game consists of many different land, air and sea-based units which have different offensive and defensive capabilities which are purchased through a monetary system controlled by how much land you have acquired.

This game generally takes atleast 2-4 hours with a lengthy set up due to the sheer amount of starting units that need to be placed ont he board prior to starting. Combat is conducted via a series of dice rolls in a unit vs. unit fashion.

The game itself plays out fantastically and really requires the player to carefully consider every move to a degree which simply isn't necessary in most board games. It adds a facet to the game which has been one of the big reasons for it's great popularity over the years.

This newer version is more balanced than the previous and is played on a slightly different map. Additionally, certain units such as the tank and plane have been modified. New units include the artillery and destroyer (both carry overs from A&A: Europe and A&A: Pacific).

All in all, a very fun thinking game which I highly recommend for a group of players who have the patience to play the game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun and exciting
This world war 2 game allows the mind to think strategically and analitically in the short-term and long-term.It is also a great game to play in your spare time. Allowing people to see what it would of been like, at least militarily, if the Axis power won, or even the Russians taking over all of Europe, etc. There are so many different kind of senarios for this game that every game you play makes it a unique and exciting game.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun and smart
This game is kind of complicated but it's worth learning how to play it right. It's interesting how the game tries to recreate the actual conditions of the war, for example the balance of power, using money and geography etc. It's way more fun than my other favorite strategy game Risk (come on, you get U-boats in this one) and actually makes you want to learn about the history of the war. Just watch out... it's easy to get very competetive! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My nephews love these!
I bought these for my nephews and they totally love them!

My sister says they won't go in the bath without them. They tap on the drums and then tap on the tub, wall, and spout to get all kinds of cool sounds and rhythms going. They also use them to dump water on their head to rinse shampoo and as a view scope to see the bottom of the tub through the bubble bath.

Good clean fun. Highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dino-mite
The activity Dino made my newborn smile and helped him to learn to sit up.Even now that he is older, he will see it laying on the back of the couch and will crawl to it and crinkle some of the fabric or will just smile at the colors or when I squeeze the nose to make a roaring sound.I highly recommend it, especially for the 0-4 month age group.

5-0 out of 5 stars Makes a great gift
I think this is a great product. It supports my son when he is sitting up and he loves to play with it. I have noticed older children like to curl up with it while watching television. I think this would make a nice gift because it is unique. Unlike most baby toys and products, we will get years of use out of the Activity Dino.

1-0 out of 5 stars Expensive rubbish - waste of money !
We recently ordered Dino for our 6 month old son, thinking we could use it initially to help him sit up and then later as a fun rough-and-tumble toy. What arrived was a small overstuffed sock with a few "crinkly" spines. The quality of the material was cheap and nasty and the construction is appauling. As for the "roar" of the nose - we could barely hear a squeak. Needless to say, we returned this "toy" immediately. Don't waste your money - a pillow with a decorative face would be just as good and at least the cover would be washable ! AWFUL !!!!! ... Read more

Editorial Review

Long before TV shows like Battlebots, there were these guys: twoplastic boxers battling it out in a ring, tirelessly jabbing at each other in an effort to knocktheir opponent's block off. Years go by and these fighters (creatively referred to in myhouse as "the blue one" and "the red one") are still at it, still operated by two playersworking simple controllers, and still madly punching in an effort to knock loose the otherfellow's spring-loaded head. As was traditionally the case, it takes a while to maneuverthe robots such that you can even land any punch, let alone a knockout blow. But forintense silly robot fighting, without the hassle of batteries, these guys are still champs.--John Moe ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun Toy
I think this is a very fun toy.It has two handles.One red,one
blue.I think this is a toy that everyone would enjoy.

2-0 out of 5 stars HUGELY DISAPPOINTING!
Like many baby boomers, I had the original toy myself as a kid.As much as we may like to believe it, the old classic one was not perfect either. It always seemed like one robots head popped off much easier than the other, or the rubberbands came off underneath.Time has tended to make us look back on these toys much more fondly than we did when we actually owned them.

That said, these "new-fangled" versions are extremely poor quality.First of all it just feels flimsy. It certainly is not as durable and heavy as it used to be.Second it seems that one robot is always overly sensitive while the other needs to be hit with a sledgehammer to get the head to pop up.And of course you don't have the trademark, "ZZZZZZZZZZ" sound that the old metal teeth used to make when the head popped up.Our kids must have thought we were nuts to have enjoyed this so much and we have to try and explain how it "used to be better!"The designers who made this should be forced to play it non-stop for 8 hours a day.Shame on Mattel for ruining a classic toy.

1-0 out of 5 stars READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE BUYING - PLEASE!!!
I bought this for my kids and can second all of the reviews I read that are disappointed with the game. The blue guy's head NEVER goes up.The robots are always and easily popping off.And yesterday, one of the yellow posts that holds up the white "rope" around the boxing ring snapped off and is impossible to fix. It's virtually ruined as no replacements parts are available. GOOD LUCK trying to get any help at the MAttel Website or 1-800 number.I am very disappointed in this product and highly recommend you consider something else. It's a shame because I could see where our whole family would have lots of fun if it worked and was sturdier. ...
