Great Toy
We received this toy as a gift when my son was about 2 weeks old. Even then he would accidently set it off with his little jerks and spasms (it is extremely sensitive)and he seemed to enjoy it.It is loud, but it never frightened him and he was brand new.By the time he was three months old he was purposefully setting it off and now he's almost two years old and he still loves it.He is more interested in the way he can make only certain instruments play and how the same song sounds different if a different instrument plays by itself. He recently cracked it though, but we have no idea how.(It is made of very durable construction, so I can't imagine what he must have done to it, but then he is very hard on his toys)We just noticed it broken in his room one day.But, after two years of daily play I'd say it gave our family a good run.I have a new son due in four months and I can't imagine not buying this toy again.I highly recommend this toy.

Boring toy
My daughter got this for Christmas when she was about 6 mos old.She rarely ever plays with it.She was slightly amused with this toy for a month or two.She never plays with it now.When she did show interest in it, it only lasted a few moments.The music does get a little annoying because my daughter liked it when all instruments would play at the same time.Nothing special about this toy and it's loud.Would not recommend.

Addictive
This is a fantastic game! It is a fast and furious challenge of reaction times & can be played alone, with a partner or in a group.Great for bored kids (or adults)!

Wish I could play to a higher score!
This game is very fun. It helps to to clear my mind. The down side is that it stops at 250. I've reached 250 a few times wanted to see if it was just a mistake but nope it only goes to 250. Other than that great for the younger kids helps with listening and motor skills. As far as us adults who play, the game needs to go higher than 250. Overall good fun.

Hours of addictive fun for all the family.Best used with some headphones if gran keeps nagging you to eat more cakes at a family gathering; which can be off putting to say the least!
I have stated that "This game is for Christmas -not for life" because it only you allows you to get up to 250ish and then it stops - Challenge over - motivation to play it GONE!

Tooting in the Tub
My 6 and 9 year old boys both love this toy. They usually take showers now because they're big boys but the first day we had the flutes they both spent about 2 hours in the tub. The song book pages are laminated so they won't fall apart if they fall in the water. I even heard my husband trying them out, so they were a big hit in the house. Put this item in perspective.
There are some real morons typing reviews for this guitar.
This is by no means a high quality professional guitar and don't expect it to be so. It's a beginners toy that comes complete with an amp for around $60! You can't get a real quality guitar with an amp at that price. There's no sense in paying more if you're not sure if the kid getting it is going to follow through with actually learning to play it.
I did have a string break while tuning it put replaced all of them for less than $6 and it actually improved the sound. I've been playing it daily for about a month and am still on the first battery.
Instructions aren't in the box but if they were the price would be higher. Go buy a quality "How to play" book at a music store and it will tell you everything from tuning to playing it. Online lessons are out there for free.
You can't beat this item for what it's meant to do, i.e. introduce a child/adult into playing an instrument.
Now, quit expecting wine on a beer budget and buy this model.

Great gift
My son received this guitar as a gift and he thinks the world of it.He is always playing it and he thinks that it is the best gift ever.He is 8 years old and this is the perfect size for him to handle.The only problem we had which was easily fixed by a friend who plays guitar is that one of the strings became loose after playing around with it the first time.I would recommend this for any young wannabe guitar player.

Great Kids Guitar
This guitar seems to be a well built guitar for kids who are interested in learning, but who are too young to go out and spend a $100 or more on a guitar.I received the guitar today and played with the tuners.They seem to be tunning.I need to get it fully tuned to see how long it stays in tune.From what I understand it takes a while before the strings get worn in so that you don't have to tune it as much.I plan on tunning it several times before Christmas.My 6 year old son should like this guitar, and hopefully learn a few things from it too!This guitar has the feel of a grownup guitar without the grownup guitar price.My only negative so far is the guitar pick guard was alittle scratched, but it's probably going to get alot worst off when the kid get it!All in all, for the price.I feel this was a good purchase!

Yikes....
Guys...this is a TOY...if your child is seriously interested in learning to play guitar, you should actually search for a real instrument. Amazon.com offers 25" guitars with accessories for only about $50...and they're actually pretty good. Don't waste your time with this thing...it's pathetic. Search for starter guitars in "Musical Instruments"...not "Toys", you're asking for disappointment.

It won't stay tuned.
It doesn't come with anything that you need to start out with (picks, extra set of strings, books, strap, case...etc.).
It's not even put together like a guitar should.

Go for the real things. Don't waste your time with this...

Excellent for very young Children 2-5
I am so glad we bought this. We bought this guitar so Our 1 and a half year old would have something to play with when we play guitar. The guitar doesn't keep in tune very well, so if you want to play music on it, It must be re-tuned every time. It has proven to be extremely durable, My son who is two and a half loves it, He has dragged it around with him allover the house and plays with it when others play instruments. I find it to be a phenomenal educational toy, One with wich to teach appreciation and care of musical instruments. We paid around 35 dollars so we felt that if it were to break we wouldn't be too upset. It is still going with my second child of one, he plays with it now. You must use adult supervision and not tighten the strings too much as they may snap just like a normal guitar. I think that this guitar has helped my son develop a love of music as we haven't restricted the use of it for fear of breakage or damage. Also this toy is a great way to determine if your child may stick with the guitar, We plan on buying another more high quality instrument when he gets older. Remember this is a musical toy.

Well, My mom purchased this guitar for me..And it was my 1st guitar. But it is HORRIBLE!! I had my sister which is a guitar player (A good one..) tune it...She said it was out of tune no madder what! My nephews love these!
I bought these for my nephews and they totally love them!

My sister says they won't go in the bath without them. They tap on the drums and then tap on the tub, wall, and spout to get all kinds of cool sounds and rhythms going. They also use them to dump water on their head to rinse shampoo and as a view scope to see the bottom of the tub through the bubble bath.

Good piano but the stool breaks easily
I bought this last Christmas for my three year old and five year old.Thesound of the piano is a little off, but all in all the piano is nice for the price.The leg of the stool breaks very easily.Don't buy unless you can fix.

Good product for the price!
My wife and I knew we wanted to get a toy piano for our little girl, and struggled somewhat with what brand and price range to stick with.I'm glad to have come across this little jewel!Our girl, though only one year old now, plays with it frequently, and likes to hear other people play it.When she's hiding somewhere or getting into mischief, I'll just hit a few keys and she'll come crawling out of wherever she was hiding to join me.

Keep in mind this is a *TOY* piano--don't expect a grand piano sound out of a toy.This utilizes small metal rods of varying lengths in the interior of the instrument to produce the sound, which is a clear, pleasant tinkling; much like a windchime.One note was a bit sour, but I solved this by removing the top cover (4 screws), and adjusting the appropriate metal rod.These slide back and forth with gentle pressure, so it is possible to tune the instrument perfectly.The legs of the piano and stool can loosen over time, but you can easily solve this with a couple drops of loc-tite solution.

There are more well-known name brands and better workmanship out there, but I'm glad not to have spent more than was necessary for a decent quality instrument.

Sound is not very good

Good Good - Well, Most of the time
Do not get me wrong, Encore is a great game.There are just a few things that make it less enjoyable.First of all, it is hard to explain the rules and gameplay to some people.Some people understand it right away, but others do not.Second of all, how can you land in the grand finale exactly when you have two dice - and are one spot away from it? Third (and my biggest point of all) anyone with half a brain could act like they didn't know a song until the other team flipped the timer over and then "suprisingly" start singing it.

It also is very easy to make up songs that no one has ever heard of and say that they are real.If you can kind of make your own rules up, buy this game.If you are the type of person who ALWAYS has to follow every rule in the instruction book, stay away.

Favorite Board Game
My family LOVES this game.You never know where your inspiration will come from; in my house we've gone from Sinatra to Dead Kennedys to vacation bible school songs.You spend as much time laughing as singing!Forget musical talent!As long as you know the words and can closely approximate the tune, you're golden.

The Best Game Ever
We are big game players and have never had more fun with any other game. It's great for a party of adults, for adults with kids, for college kids...whatever. People always talk about it weeks after we play. Our middle school son and his friends will always join in if they see us playing with friends which says a great deal!! We just bought this case for my son's new FirstAct Discovery series guitar. It was so inexpensive that we were sure it would be cheap and cheesy. We wrong! Bop It, TwistIt, and Pull It too
This game is fun for all ages.

If you like moving to the beat and testing your reflexes then you'll like Bop It.This is a fun game that is simple to play.It can be played solo or in groups of any size (just "pass it").It is educational in that it requires you to listen and follow simple directions ("bop it", "pull it", "twist it").

We gave this game to our son for his 6th birthday and he loves it.

By far one of my top ten
This has got to be one of the best party games of all time. My family bought this the first Christmas it came out, and we loved it instantly. Even a little kid can play it. I've found that the other versions of this came are a LOT more challenging than this one, but if you like a challenge, go ahead and get it! (These versions inclued a flick-it and spin-it option.)
At first glance, you might think, "who would want a toy shaped like Big Foot's club... and WHAT exactly is so fun about bop-ing, pulling, and twisting?"
But you'll soon find that there is a LOT of fun in bop-ing, pulling, and twisting- even my parents were baffled by this crazy game.

HOW IT WORKS:
To turn it on, you press the bop-it button. To select the options, you press the pull-it button. There is single player, multi-player, and one other function that I don't remember. To play the requested function, press the bop-it button again. A man's voice (with drum beats in the backround)will command you to do one of three things (bop-it, twist-it, or pull-it) and you must do them before time runs out. If you really have a knack for hand-listening coordination, you'll find that the drum beats will get faster and faster. If you loose- doing another thing the man didn't say- the machine will go: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!". Pretty surprising the first time, but you'll get used to it. The thing that makes it a great party game, however, is the multi-player function. It works the same as the single-player, but every so often, the man will say "pass-it". You can also play that if a person looses, they are out. There is no function for this, however, you'll have to re-turn on the multi-player function till one person's left.

This machine is very durable. It's been with us in the car several times (even though it is VERY annoying on a two plus hour trip) and has still worked after three years laying in a heap in our toy cabinet.

This toy also enhances reflexes, seeing as if you don't do the desired option in time, you will loose.

All in all, this is a GREAT purchase for under twenty dollars that your whole family will love! ... Read more

The boy who has everything!
Our 3 year old has so much that sometimes it seems like nothing keeps his interest for long.This little tin drum keeps him busy and feeling like he is in his own marching band!Cute as anything, we love watching him walk around holding this tiny tin drum around his neck and going to town on it.Great gift!It was a little smaller than I anticipated, would of liked the strap to be a little longer to go around his neck, but not a big deal, he doesn't seem to mind?

We bought this drum for our (now) 3 1/2 year old son about a year ago. He LOVED it!!! He played it every day, but after awhile, the drum head got a lot of little dents in it and it eventually just caved in. But, a year's worth of fun and music is well worth (...)

We bought this for our 2 1/2 year old Thomas fan. It's really cute and rather reasonably priced. My son loves to bang on his drum, and dance around the living room. This was our daughter's favorite toy ever since she was about 3-4 months old. She is now 9 months and still enjoys it. She bangs on it all day long. Her entire little body would start to jump up and down when she would see it on the floor!

WOW!!
This was a Xmas present for my children.I was pleasantly surprised when I heard the sound quality - quite realistic!It is very durable.The bellows are constructed of paper but it is very heavy-duty.It does, however, require some muscle to expand and coordination to use the buttons - so it is better for an older child.

I, too, was surprised at the quality of sound of this instrument. It's also fun to play and easy to navigate -- you a/o your child will soon be picking out tunes with a minimum amount of practice. The only reservations I have are: 1) there are only three songs included in the instruction sheet; and 2) the accordion is designed for right-handed individuals; however, the thumb strap on the key side that could probably be removed and re-applied in order to make it playable by left-handers.

Pleasantly surprized

Anyone can become an accordionist!
I play a 120 bass Piano Accordion and I saw this toy accordion and it just stole my heart. It's a sturdy little diatonic accordion and it's beautifully tuned in chords so you can't play a wrong note. It's a load of fun, and when my friends say they can't play music--- I hand them this little axe and they have a blast! It's compact, beautiful, and a load of fun for anyone of any age!

good durable toy
We have now had it for over 2 years and between 4 kids and their many friends and cousins, it still lives! Whenever it is found it is played with. Yeah sure the keys get stuck occasionally, but if that happens you just wiggle the end a little bit and presto everything goes back. Worth the money!

Does not last
I had read other reviews regarding the keys getting stuck.I bought for Christmas anyway, and my four-year-old son loved it.The keys threatened to stick on many occasions, and the instrument finally broke on March 7. Young drummers need something sturdy to sit on, but traditional(adult) drum seats are simply too big. This folding adjustable drumstool is designed especially for kids 4 to 12 years old.
